Your moral retardation of the day

Courtesy of who else? CAIR!

A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today called on the Bush administration to request that the United Nations immediately refer Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued that call after Israel today bombed not only the U.N. headquarters in Gaza, but also targeted several hospitals and an international media center.

Israel eradicates Hamas “Elite Unit”

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Palestinian sources reported Thursday that the “Iranian Unit” of Hamas, members of the group’s military wing trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, had been destroyed.

According to the sources, most of the unit’s members were killed in fighting in the Zeytun neighborhood, where they had been deployed by the military leadership of Hamas.

Hero!

Yes, we do have heroes. Thank God!

CNN identifies the pilot of Flight 1549 as Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger.

This is providential: Sullenberger heads up an aviation safety firm. He is a USAF veteran.

He walked the plane twice to make sure no passengers were left behind.

A bit of history for you

The subject of slavery is an important chapter of our history. Sadly, getting honest truthful history on this topic is becoming more rare. People are either afraid to openly discuss it, or they are looking to rewrite history to fit their opinions.

This post at Old Virginia Blog, is a must read if you want to look at a complicated chapter in an honest fashion. A small sample

In fact, the Reverend Randolph McKim (1842–1920), a Confederate chaplain and one-time rector of Christ Church in Alexandria, wrote in A Soldier’s Recollections that Randolph assured him in 1860 “that emancipation would certainly have been carried the ensuing year, but for the revulsion of feeling which followed the fanatical agitation of the subject by the Abolitionists of the period.” And although the bill was defeated, the Virginia legislature “passed a resolution postponing the consideration of the subject till public opinion had further developed.” An editorial in the March 6, 1832, Richmond Whig praised the legislature’s efforts and further noted: “The great mass of Virginia herself triumphs that the slavery question has been taken up by the legislature, that her legislators are grappling with the monster, and they contemplate the distant but ardently desired result [emancipation] as the supreme good which a benevolent Providence could vouchsafe.”

Your obligatory stupid Liberal idea of the day

Rustmeister has the scoop!

Students saved from violence by gun-free zone once again!

Wow! These Gun-Free Zones really work don’t they?

The looming threat of gun control

I have said it before, I will say  it again, Liberals HATE YOUR GUNS!  They REALLY hate your guns. Ultimately though, they detest your right to the most essential liberty, the right to defend yourself!

The pit of inanity deepens!

What type of idiot thinks that crosses in a scene from a TV show, which was set in a church, would offend anyone? Better question, what type of moron gives a flip what some whiner would think?

Coronation Street bosses covered up a cross during filming at a 14th century church – because they thought it may offend viewers.

The Rev. James Milnes said the producers asked for it to be removed entirely, but then settled on hiding it behind candles and flowers.

Hmmm, if a cross offends a viewer, wouldn’t a CHURCH offend them? I tell ya this folks, we are being eaten alive with this type of hypersensitivity! It is well past time we told the Offendocrats to grow up or shut up!

Israel’s opinion of UN condemnation?

IRRELEVANT! Yep,that sums it up nicely I think!

Sharia Law is cool with pedophilia

Assbackwards swine!

The powerful Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh said in a speech late on Monday that Islamic Sharia law allows the practice of pre-teen girls getting married, and that critics of the practice were doing the girls “an injustice,” reports said.

“We hear often in the media about the marriage of minors. We must know that Sharia law is not unjust for women,” the cleric is quoted as saying.

“If it is said that a woman below 15 cannot be married, that is wrong. If a girl exceeds 10 or 12 then she is eligible for marriage, and whoever thinks she is too young, then he or she is wrong and has done her an injustice.”

Yeah, I know, I know, Islam is the “Religion of Peace”. It may be, but folks, Sharia is the law of evil, twisted, scumbags!

Congressman Nostrilsaurus Rex vows to act quickly to save planet

Boy, news like this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I mean an ultra-Liberal congressman, who likely has no clue about the climate, is promising us he will help fix a”crisis”. The “crisis” may exist, it may not, it may be man-made, it may not, it, we do not know.

We do know something about Liberals and their invented “crisis”. Their solutions to the various crisis they drum up, usually solve nothing, or create another crisis, usually worse than the original problem. And, of course their solutions always end up relieving us of some of our money, and some of our liberty. and we never get those back do we?

A post to piss off the Bush Bashers!

In five days, President Bush will be out of office, and the far Left will likely be sad they no longer have hi to rail asgainst. But, since his departure is so near, I post this news just to stick it to those Bush haters that said he has destroyed the Constitution. Sorry, Moonbats, you were WRONG!

A federal intelligence court, in a rare public opinion, issued a major ruling validating the power of the president and Congress to wiretap international phone calls and intercept e-mail messages without a specific court order, even when Americans’ private communications may be involved.

The court decision, made in August 2008 by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review, came in an unclassified, redacted form.

The decision marks the first time since the disclosure of the National Security Agency’s warrantless eavesdropping program three years ago that an appellate court has addressed the constitutionality of the federal government’s wiretapping powers. In validating the government’s wide authority to collect foreign intelligence, it may offer legal credence to the Bush administration’s repeated assertions that the president has the power to act without specific court approval in ordering national security eavesdropping that may involve Americans.

The Aug. 22 appeals court decision upheld a secret ruling issued last year by the intelligence court that it oversees, known as the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance, or FISA, court. In that initial opinion, the secret court found that Congress had acted within its authority in August 2007 when it passed a hotly debated law known as the Protect America Act, which gave the executive branch broad power to eavesdrop on international communications.

One BAD monkey!

The fit hits the shan

Wildlife officials said a rhesus monkey known to throw feces when mad is on the loose in Tampa Bay. Authorities have been trying to capture the primate since Tuesday afternoon, but it managed to evade a bucket truck and tranquilizer dart. Gary Morse with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the adult male is thought to have escaped from an unlicensed source. It was last seen in Clearwater.

The monkey is not considered dangerous.

Thomas Sowell on Gaza situation

BRILLIANT! Everyone ought to read this

Today, so-called “world opinion” not only limits the price to be paid for aggression or terrorism, it has even led to the self-indulgence of third parties talking pretty talk about limiting the response of those who are attacked to what is “proportionate.”

By this reasoning, we should not have declared war on Japan for bombing Pearl Harbor. We should have gone over to Japan, bombed one of their harbors– and let it go at that.

Does anyone imagine that this would have led to Japan’s becoming as peaceful today as it has become after Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Leftist tool giving Bush zero credit for the absence of terror attacks here

Ah, come on! Would you expect Chrissy Matthews to have a guest on his show that was going to give Bush credit for anything? Please note as you watch the clip that Matthews brings up an old, tired, asinine attack on Bush! H/T Hot Air

Jackass sports columnist: Tebow is too Christian!

Ah, here we go. I knew it would not take long for some geeky sports writer to be develop offendeditis over Tim Tebow’s outspoken Christianity. And, lookie here! It seems that Tebow’s coach, Urban Meryer offended the writer in his praise of Tebow.

But there’s a quote from Meyer celebrating Tebow’s return to college for his senior season that turns my stomach. Here it comes:

“There’s the functional football player part of it, but we all know it’s much deeper than that,” he said. “He is so good for college football. He is unbelievable. When my daughter texts me in the morning the Bible verse he has under his eyes it’s good for college football, it’s good for young people, it’s good for everything.”

Sorry. Wrong. If Tebow were a Muslim or a Mormon, and Meyer’s daughter texted him with Tebow’s chosen verse from the Koran or from the Book of Mormon, would that be “good for college football, good for young people, good for everything?”

Of course not.

Tebow’s religion is seen as good because it is the religion of the majority. But it’s not the religion of everybody. It’s exclusionary, and just because you share Tebow’s faith, that doesn’t mean you’re right. I don’t expect you, or Meyer, or Tebow, or your pastor, to agree with me.

How dare Tim Tebow express his faith! And how dare his coach say he is a good role model! I mean, what person would want their child to be a credit to their team, their school, their family and their faith?
