GOP will gut Marxulus if they regain Congress in 2010?

A truly great read!
The Obama plan is certainly more ambitious and costlier than many expected, especially in its use of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to influence the mortgage market. But will it all work? An analysis by IHS Global Insight concludes that it will help prevent some number of “preventable” foreclosures. So that’s something. But between 10 million and 15 million homeowners are underwater and that number is growing. Who knows how many will walk away from their homes and to what extent the Obama plan will help? IHS Global just shrugs. Me, too, especially since the plan, while potentially lowering mortgage interest rates, doesn’t make a clear provision for reduction in the principal. That’s the real killer.
But it is certainly debatable whether we should even be trying a savior-based plan to prevent foreclosures. Do we need Uncle Sam to “save” homeowners who have sinned against the gods of financial prudence? Here’s how the folks at Weiss Research see things after examining the Obama plan: “Foreclosures are actually resulting in overpriced homes burdened with too much debt being moved into the hands of new buyers, who are paying drastically reduced prices. They can therefore purchase using a traditional mortgage. … Delaying and dragging out the downturn by artificially propping up home prices will arguably work against the market healing.”
In the same vein, former Bush economic adviser Lawrence Lindsey has suggested an immigration program that would give a provisional green card to anyone who invested at least $10 million in residential property and held it for five years. And bond guru David Goldman of the Inner Workings blog relates that he’s been getting inquiries from Chinese investors interested in the U.S. housing market. He also highlights what is easily the worst aspect of the Obama plan, the “cramdown” provision which would allow judges to modify mortgages. “Allowing judges to show generosity to homeowners … and keep them in their homes makes the core assets of the banking system uncertain. … Cramdown probably is responsible for the deterioration of subprime AAA’s during the last few days.” That’s what happens when you toss 1,000 years of contract law out the window in the middle of a global financial crisis.

More than 100 House members secured earmarks in a major spending bill for clients of a single lobbying firm — The PMA Group — known for its close ties to John P. Murtha , the congressman in charge of Pentagon appropriations.
“It shows you how good they were,” said Keith Ashdown, chief investigator at the watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense. “The sheer coordination of that would take an army to finish.”
PMA’s offices have been raided, and the firm closed its political action committee last week amid reports that the FBI is investigating possibly illegal campaign contributions to Murtha and other lawmakers.
No matter what the outcome of the federal investigation, PMA’s earmark success illustrates how a well-connected lobbying firm operates on Capitol Hill. And earmark accountability rules imposed by the Democrats in 2007 make it possible to see how extensively PMA worked the Hill for its clients.

Representative James Clyburn held a roundtable meeting to discuss how the newly-signed stimulus package will affect South Carolina.
He said not only would it create jobs, but also repair roads and bridges around the state.
Clyburn also had some strong comments for Gov. Mark Sanford on why he thinks he opposed the stimulus.
“The governor of Louisiana expressed opposition. Has the highest African-American population in the country. Governor of Mississippi expressed opposition. The governor of Texas, and the governor of South Carolina. These four governor’s represent states that are in the black belt. I was insulted by that,” Clyburn said. “All of this was a slap in the face of African-Americans. It had nothing to do with Governor Sanford.”
Exit question. Isn’t it past time African-Americans stopped accepting leaders that insult them by using false charges of racism as a political tool??

Sen. John Kerry accepted a letter for President Barack Obama from Hamas leaders on Thursday, FOX News learned.
A U.N. relief agency official could not say what the contents of the letter were but said U.N. officials passed the letter to Kerry on behalf of the European- and U.S.-designated terror group.
Hamas has denied leaving a letter at the gates of the U.N. headquarters in Gaza.
Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, was visiting the Gaza Strip on Thursday, along with Democratic Reps. Brian Baird of Washington and Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Congress’ only Muslim representative.
The lawmakers were already on a trip to Israel, and crossed into the area dominated by Hamas, which calls for the destruction of the Jewish state. Kerry had not been expected to meet with Hamas officials.
So many points to get to here. First and foremost NO U.S. politician ought to be talking any member of any terrorist group that is actively committed to destroying one of our allies. This trip would never have been made if I were president.
Secondly, Senator Kerry should not have accepted any communications from Hamas. That is not his place, and again they are a terrorist group. What the Hell does Senator F-Bomb think he is doing? President Obama should take Kerry behind the woodshed over this, but, that will never happen of course.

Idiot! It is a smile raising moment for me. The good Senator does not bother to read what he is voting for, then goes on the Senate floor and declares that Americans do not care about the “lirttle bit” of pork in it. But now, oh now there is heartache!
Sen. Schumer has pledged to undo a provision included in the stimulus package that will make it nearly impossible for New York’s banks to hire foreign workers through the H-1B visa program.
The amendment to the stimulus bill, proposed by Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Chuck Grassley, D-Iowa, originally would have banned the visas for any company that received money from the Troubled Assets Relief Program, or TARP. A compromise lifted the ban, but companies will still be required to hire from the growing pool of laid-off American workers first. Advocates say that the mandate is so onerous that it will virtually stop banks from bringing foreign workers into the country.
Read things before you sign them, or vote for them you moron!

Aha, a little bit of SOS over Katrina relief in the Marxulus Bill. The thing is this, there is no Katrina aid in the bill. Now, the interesting thing here is that Democrats, who continually bashed Bush over Katrina aid are silent now. Hmmmm
The economic stimulus signed by President Barack Obama will spread billions of dollars across the country to spruce up aging roads and bridges. But there’s not a dime specifically dedicated to fixing leftover damage from Hurricane Katrina.
And there’s no outrage about it.
Democrats who routinely criticized President George W. Bush for not sending more money to the Gulf Coast appear to be giving Obama the benefit of the doubt in his first major spending initiative. Even the Gulf’s fiercest advocates say they’re happy with the stimulus package, and their states have enough money for now to address their needs.
“I’m not saying there won’t be a need in the future, but right now the focus is not on more money, it’s on using what we have,” said Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., who has criticized Democrats and Republicans alike over Katrina funding.
Now perhaps there really isn’t need for more money, but if this bill were passed under Bush, who thinks the reaction would be the same?

They bribed three leftist New England senate RINOs in order to pass their bill aimed at stimulating government growth through record debt. Even seven House Democrats had to vote against the Marxist measure. The little RINO support they got, they bought. They had NO interest in a bi-partisan bill.
The first thirty days of the new Democratic Socialist regime has confirmed one thing. The anti-American left is coming after every freedom and liberty as fast and as hard as they can and only a united right, ready to fight, can stop their rush into global disaster. Investors are fleeing the market again today, well aware of Obama’s agenda to nationalize everything.
Primary Goals of Obama’s Dictatorship
Grab grasp and control of all primary economic sectors – banking, health, energy, technology, transportation, communication and food (all of which is addressed in his so-called stimulus bill being signed into law today)
Erase US borders – provide amnesty for all illegal aliens living in the US and their families not yet here. Concede sovereign authority over US constitutional law to the UN. (This too is set up in the leftist stimulus bill)
Silence the last remaining voice of pro-freedom dissent currently heard only at talk radio (under the Fairness Doctrine proposed by John Podesta at the George Soros organization, American Progress)
Eliminate Second Amendment rights for American citizens while setting up a one million member civilian army loyal to Obama rather than to the people and their constitution (Early funding for which is provided in the stimulus package as well)
Continue to bankrupt the free market capitalist system, driving average American families into an economic corner where they will welcome Democratic Socialism in an effort to avoid life in a soup line (Watch as investors continue to flee from the market for safer havens abroad)
Buy state sovereignty with federal bailout funds, reversing the bottom up system of self-governance affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution, establishing the federal government as a top down dictatorship

Bernie Madoff robbed thousands of private investors out of billions. The nation, Washington DC elites and their press are rightfully prepared to lynch him in Public Square.
So, what should we do with Washington DC elites who have robbed generations of American citizens out of trillions in hard-earned property against their will? In Madoff’s case, knowledgeable investors made bad decisions to invest in what turned out to be a multi-billion dollar scam.

Traditionally speaking, those who love their freedom also love their independence. But in this case, individually, they are no match for the massive power of the new federal dictatorship. An individual tax revolt will land you in prison, penniless.
Freedom fighters MUST unite and fight the current onslaught of heavy handed Marxism together. They must learn to fight as a unit. Alone, they are powerless and vulnerable. But united, the left is truly NO match for America’s most productive members of society.

Great news! Obama opposes Fairness Doctrine!

President Obama opposes any move to bring back the so-called Fairness Doctrine, a spokesman told FOXNews.com Wednesday.
The statement is the first definitive stance the administration has taken since an aide told an industry publication last summer that Obama opposes the doctrine — a long-abolished policy that would require broadcasters to provide opposing viewpoints on controversial issues.
But wait, this is the same Obama that has been inconsistent, to put it kindly, on transparency, and on pork in bills, and some other issues so far. Sure, this news sounds nice, but just remember this is from Barack “Change that Keeps on Changin” Obama!
