Phillips jumped overboard again, and this time, the Navy was ready to take out the pirates. Great work, Navy!
Great news on an Easter Sunday! Thanks to the US Navy and to the Lord above!

This is really good news for the nation AND the world. I am hopeful but skeptical that this may cause the pirates to re-think their strategy of high seas pirating as a way of life. I also think it is now more likely that US merchants will have at least 1, and better 2, armed people on each ship.
We will never know how much rescuing this one man cost the US in terms of manpower, ships, fuel etc., but I’m sure we’ll get some payback in terms of national stature. I sure hope so.
I would have preferred that we did not even start negotiations though, but this IS great news!
