Confirmed: DHS report on Conservatives

This is very troubling It seems the Department of Homeland Security sees you and I, as extremists of some sort, who looking to “recruit and radicalize” Americans.

I did not post on this until I was sure it was accurate. Well, it is folks. And here are some excerpts that Michelle found.

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

And here is another, Michele Malkin has plenty more and you can read the entire thing at the second link I provided in this post.

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.

Those are pretty broad classifications of “extremists” sounds more like Conservatives to me.

  1. Well, during the Bush era and the warrantless wiretapping and violations of Constitutional protection against warrantless searches, the neo-coonservatives were fond of proclaiming “if you’ve done nothing wrong, then you’ve nothing to worry about”.
    -
Shouldn’t that same mindset hold true today? Or has the morbidity of hypocrisy come home to the practitioners of that black craft?
    -
So, what’s the problem? Take it like real men and quit whining.

  2. I have always found the statement “if you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear” a stupid statement frankly.

Now are you FOR this or does it trouble you? We are not talking about warranteless wire taps for suspected terrorists, which, OTHER presidents have done too BTW, and which Obama is OK with. We are talking about “watching” people for their ideological views.

  3. Hey, if you haven’t done anything wrong, then you don’t have anything to worry about. Right?
    -
That’s what all the neo-coonservatives said about the Patriot Act and invited anyone to monitor their telephone calls and Internet activity. Suddenly, their “rights” are being trampled upon?
    -
Jesus, do those dolts know what hypocrisy is? Can’t they just eat the big serving of crow they cooked for themselves? Whatta bunch of whiners. They sure didn’t seem to care about anyone’s rights five and six years ago.

  4. Joe, you seem to only care about rights if a Republican is president
