Our “rednecks” are American Indians, African-American’s, Cherokee/Indian mix, whites, Mexicans and middle-easterners. They are people who ranch, farm and understand a love of the land, family and for eachother.
You are typical of so many angry Easterners; I’m originally (35 years ago) from Cleveland, myself. You judge the South, West and the Plains when you’ve never called it home. You hear a slow drawl and run the other way! We are educated and well traveled. We are gentle people not easily prone to anger or hatred. Prejudice is something you nurture from within. You are full of prejudice and by what you say, you feed that hatred regularly. “Redneck” is an endearing term.! Give it a rest…come to Oklahoma. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how accepting we are. We even tolerate angry, arrogant Yankees like you!
