Your Greg Gutfeld moment of the day
Well said sir! And, if anyone disagrees with me, then they disagree with Gutfeld, and that makes them worse than Hitler of course!
Iran attacked by Israeli oranges or something
Those damned Joos!
After attacking the “Zionist Regime” at the UN human rights council last week in Geneva. Switzerland, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad handed out Israeli oranges to get people to his rally in Islamshahr.
Love this!
Shocker! Gorezilla lied about profiting from cap and trade
Gorezilla LIARZILLA! OK, a really, really, really RICH LIAR! But still a liar!
Poland to ban Che?
Well, his image anyway! No, I do not agree at all with such a law. Yes Che was a sorry S.O.B., a murderer, and no one with a clue would ever wear anything with his image on it, but…… Poland has LIVED under Marxism, they ought to recall what it is like. And such a law is far more dangerous than Che’s image, and something Che would do.
Political shenanigans over cap and trade?
Are We Lumberjacks is calling shenanigans over this story
In exchange for votes to pass a controversial global warming package, Democratic leaders are offering some lawmakers generous emission “allowances” to protect their districts from the economic pain of pollution restrictions.
Rep. Gene Green, D-Texas, represents a district with several oil refineries, a huge source of greenhouse gas emissions. He also serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which must approve the global warming plan backed by President Barack Obama.
Green says Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., who heads the panel, is trying to entice him into voting for the bill by giving some refineries favorable treatment in the administration’s “cap and trade” system, which is expected to generate hundreds of billions of dollars over the coming years. Under the plan, companies would pay for the right to emit carbon dioxide, but Green and other lawmakers are angling to get a free pass for refineries in their districts.
“We’ve been talking,” Green said, referring to a meeting he had with Waxman on Tuesday night. “To put together a bill that passes, they have to get our votes, and I’m not going to vote for a bill without refinery allowances.”
I just do not know about this. I mean, yes, I realize that some politicians are less than totally honest, but come on now! Ar youy telling me that you would not trust a face like this?
Atheists! The new oppressed minority!
The biggest victims EVER? Women, Blacks, Gays, Atheists!
What’s interesting is the explicit victimology in play here. Forty-five years after the passage of the most sweeping civil rights legislation in American history – and the subsequent expansion of rights and opportunities to millions of Americans previously subjugated by genuinely archaic hierarchies of race, class, and gender – there remains a few groups who will continue to mine the emotions of guilt-ridden citizens who cling to a “reparations mindset” on civil rights. But observe how Tristero takes up the “prejudice” banner to hammer even more aggressively the bogus discrimination line!
Atheists are not an oppressed class, but you wouldn’t know it from the Times‘ piece.
Hey, being a victim is big business for Je$$e Jackson, Al “Pimp My Hair” Sharpton, the NAACP, N.O.W., and many other “victimization pimps” who profit off convincing select groups of Americans that they are victims, and that only THEY, the victin pimps, can help!
So, I suppose it is only natural that now there some Atheist activists who want to cash in on what they see as an opportunity. It is a simple business plan. Convince enough people, in this case, Atheists, they need your service, protecting them from discrimination, and then repeat as long as it pads your wallet!
Are we still at war
American Power links to a very interesting and provocative piece by William Kristol today. It deals with the thought-process behind the president’s decision to release, AGAINST the objections of the intelligence community, memos from the Office of Legal Counsel concluding that interrogation techniques used to get intel from Al Qaeda terrorists were legal.
What was more interesting was the accompanying statement by the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, trying to justify Obama’s decision–or at least put it “into perspective.” The perspective, the context, is that in the months after 9/11, “we did not have a clear understanding of the enemy we were dealing with, and our every effort was focused on preventing further attacks that would kill more Americans. It was during these months that the CIA was struggling to obtain critical information from captured al Qaida leaders, and requested permission to use harsher interrogation methods. The OLC memos make clear that senior legal officials judged the harsher methods to be legal.”
Blair continues: “Those methods, read on a bright, sunny, safe day in April 2009, appear graphic and disturbing. As the President has made clear, and as both CIA Director Panetta and I have stated, we will not use those techniques in the future. But we will absolutely defend those who relied on these memos and those guidelines.”
Hmmm, the Obama administration does not think the means used were justified, nor do they belive they ought be used again. OK, but they basically are admitting the methods used worked! And because Team Obama is admitting they worked, then they must be saying, as Kristol concludes, that the need to prevent future attacks is over.
Free Streaming TV And Radio! WOOHOO!!!

Video-Taliban guns down couple for “adultery”
Murderous swine. This is what Pakistan is facing, a possible takeover of these Shariasts. The menace e drove from Afghanistan is now trying to seize a new home, in Paskistan. And unless the Pakistani government wipes them out, instead of foolishly signing treaties with them, very bad days are ahead.
Roxana Saberi blogburst
Michelle Malkin is doing her best to get the word out about the plight of Roxana Saberi, who turns 32 today in one of the worst places on earth. An Iranian prison.
US journalist Roxana Saberi turns 32 today in an Iranian prison. After an hour-long trial, she was sentenced to eight years behind bars for “espionage.” She was initially told she was arrested for buying bootleg wine, and then because she was working as a journalist without a license. She’s now on day five of a hunger strike. Today, one of her defense lawyers was denied access to her.
Roxana’s paper covers the miscarriage of justice that is taking place
Saberi, imprisoned since January, has been convicted of spying, news stories reported Saturday. Now, whenever these kinds of accusations surface, there’s always a chance that the accused is guilty and was caught in the act.
But in this case, that chance seems vanishingly small. There are ways to credibly accuse and convict someone of espionage, but the Iranian court system has not employed them. Just the opposite: It has mocked those norms by disregarding their substance, while using the norms’ vocabulary — “trial,” “attorney,” “defense” and so on — to give the government’s actions a patina of justice.
Here is all one needs to know about justice as it seems to be practiced in modern Iran. The quote is from a story in Sunday’s New York Times:
“Ms. Saberi’s father, Reza Saberi, who came to Tehran two weeks ago from Fargo, N.D., to secure her release, said Sunday that neither she nor her lawyer was aware that the trial was taking place last Monday until after it was under way.
“‘The lawyer was only told to go meet Roxana last Monday,’ he said in a telephone interview. ‘No one knew that they were trying her. Roxana found out 15 minutes into the session that she was being tried.
“‘None of them, neither Roxana nor the lawyer, were ready to defend her.’
“Mr. Saberi said that the trial took less than an hour as he waited outside the courtroom, believing that the lawyer was only meeting his daughter in the presence of the judge.”
So: Saberi didn’t know she was on trial until after the trial started. She met her defense lawyer the very day of her “trial.” Neither Saberi nor her lawyer had any time whatsoever to prepare her defense.
And the proceedings took less than an hour.
Here is the blogrally for Roxana
A hearty thank you!

You know, I love hiking, I get out to the Rockies every year to do some awesome hikes. But Naked hikers? Sure it sounds great, but face it, the people who usually do things in public in the nude, have NO BUSINESS being naked in public!
But, trying to guess who the over-sexed newsbabe might be IS fun!
IowaHawk has bestowed a great honor upon President Obama.
Your Sunday morning death match
Muslim clerics slammed the Palestinian Authority this weekend over a festival held in the West Bank city of Ramallah as part of the events for Jerusalem – the 2009 capital of Arab culture.
Eighteen dance companies from the territories and around the world took part in the Ramallah performance, which was attended by thousands of people. The show was also viewed by senior PA officials, including Dr. Rafiq al-Husseini, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ chief of staff who was in charge of the Palestinian committee tasked with producing the celebrations. The bands drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd, but the Muslim clerics were less enthused, saying that “Jerusalem will not be returned through dancing.”
Yep! More Assbackwardsness from radical Muslims.H/T Weasel Zippers
Oh Big Brother
He is watching, listening, peeking, snooping……. and generally trying to monitor every thing anyone does in jolly old England!
The proposals will give police and security services the power to snoop on every single communication made by the public with the data then likely to be stored in an enormous national database.
The precise content of calls and other communications would not be accessible but even text messages and visits to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter would be tracked.
