Yet another asinine “ethics violation” charge brought against Sarah Palin

Complete and total BS! This is just the latest in the Left’s all-out assault on America’s hottest governor! Something really should be done to stop such obviously bogus comlaints

Anchorage resident Sondra Tompkins, child disability advocate and mother of a special needs child, is filing the complaint after observing Governor Palin repeatedly display “a pattern of unethical behavior.” Sondra believes that the tipping point for her was Sarah Palin’s most recent abdication of her role as Governor and apparent conflict-of-interest when she spoke at two outside events in Indiana rather than work with the Alaska Legislature during the most critical time, the end of the session.

The complaint alleges:

a) Governor Palin has entered into a contract outside of her official duties with the donors, employees, partners and any or all other participants involved in Sarah PAC.

b) The recent partisan trip to Indiana by the Governor was purely to benefit personal interests, had no benefit for the State of Alaska and was in direct conflict with her official duties.

c) The Governor left the State to participate in these events during the most critical end-of-session Legislative activities, at a time where the legislators themselves are not permitted to leave.

Absolutely despicable!

Juan Williams commits heresy!

Criticizing The Obamassiah? Careful there Juan, careful, lest the Leftist hoards of tolerance descend upon you

It is really upsetting to see that the Heritage Foundation has discoverd that 38 percent of the members of Congress made the choice to put their children in private schools. Of course, Secretary Duncan has said he decided not to live in Washington, D.C. because he did not want his children to go to public schools there. And President Obama, who has no choice but to live in the White House, does not send his two daughters to D.C. public schools, either. They attend a private school, Sidwell Friends, along with two students who got there because of the voucher program.

This reckless dismantling of the D.C. voucher program does not bode well for arguments to come about standards in the effort to reauthorize No Child Left Behind. It does not speak well of the promise of President Obama to be the “Education President,’ who once seemed primed to stand up for all children who want to learn and especially minority children.

And its time for all of us to get outraged about this sin against our children.

The Obamassiah a sinner? Against children? Wow, that is language the Left usually reserves for use, usually in a fabricated way, against those evil Conservatives.

Ready for human clones?

A great moral question. Is the job of creating human life something tht God only should take part in? Or, is it just another step in the natural advancement of mankind? AllahPundit posed the question, so I figured what the heck, let’s go there!

Civility, tolerance, sensitivity, the Left

One of these does not belong with the others. Care to take a stab? If you said The Left, then you are correct! As Michele Malkin writes today.

Hey Pakistan, how is that appease the Taliban thing working out?

NOT well at all! Unless Pakistan’s plan was to have the Taliban start taking over their country.

Islamabad’s Interior Ministry on Wednesday said that the Taliban moved out of the troubled northwestern Swat Valley and were now in control of Buner district — only 100 km (60 miles) from Islamabad.

Members of a local tribal militia confronted the insurgents earlier this month when they started infiltrating the district.

However, the resistance subsided in following days in the face of reluctance on the part of government forces to stop the insurgents.

Also, local administration in the captured district noted that the insurgents were dramatically moving toward surrounding areas as well.

“They [the militants] are fast gaining territory and have established checkpoints and dug bunkers at strategic locations in the mountains,” said an official of the local administration in Buner district.

Taliban have already set up checkpoints, occupied mosques and have looted offices of non-governmental organizations in the volatile region.

Moreover, the militants ransacked several government offices triggering the official vehicles to drive away, sources saidPakistan’s government confirms that Taliban militants, armed with heavy weapons, have taken control of new areas near the capital Islamabad.

This is where appeasing terrorists and radical Jihadists leads. And the best news of all, Pakistan has nukes, what will our country do to prevent those falling into the hands of the Taliban? Another test for Obama.

A great piece on “Homophobia” and how Miss California, Carrie Prejean is bein unfairly smeared

Sometimes you read something that makes you want to stand and applaud. This is one of those!

We see this in the controversy stirred by Miss California Carrie Prejean’s dissent against same-sex marriage, which arguably cost her the Miss USA title. However much I sincerely admire beauty, there are few things that interest me less than who wins beauty contests. Yet in the case of Miss Prejean, we see a perfect example of the totalitarian thought-control impulse of modern liberalism, which marginalizes dissent by coercive approval: Disagreement with the liberal agenda disqualifies one from any position of social prestige, and invites the accusation of mala fides.

In the case of the liberal agenda on gay rights, those who disagree are diagnosed with “homophobia,” a mental illness apparently afflicting a majority of the electorate in 30-odd states which have approved measures prohibiting same-sex marriage. Beyond its implausibility as a psychological disorder—conservatism as a species of insanity being a favorite theme of the Left at least since Theodor Adorno’s “scientific” study of The Authoritarian Personality—the problem with the “homophobia” smear is that this allegedly dangerous tendency does not correlate with any actual evil.

BRAVO!! The Other McCain has lots more!

Corporate-sponsored rallies? HMMMM

The Tea Parties are being criticized, in an obviously desperate attempt by the Left to dismiss them, because they were “sponsored” by Fox, and Rich, corporate interests, blah, blah…

Funny, as this piece points out, the media and the Left never cared about who was behind certain other rallies/protests did they?

Enormous rallies, thousands upon thousands of people. Signs, both purchased and homemade. Marches. Speakers. Costumes, jokes, parodies. But mostly people. Lots and lots of people, exercising their rights of speech, of assembly, of petitioning their government.

And so what if they were sponsored by vast, billionaire-funded partisan organizations? So what if major media outlets promoted them under the guise of “reporting?” Those thousands upon thousands who came out, dressed up, brought the kids, painted signs, took time off and paid their own way did so because they believed.

Sure, critics called them all sorts of names, but the protests made a difference: Across the country, people saw others who shared their beliefs; who were willing to publicly state those beliefs; who demanded that their government pay attention.

Say what you will. We’ve seen a lot of successful anti-war protests over the past several years.

Oh, you thought I was talking about last week’s Tax Day Tea Parties? No: I was talking about post-9/11 anti-war rallies. But, since you brought it up:

The Tax Day Tea Parties. On April 15, over half a million people nationwide came, dressed up, brought the kids, painted signs, took time off and paid their own way…because they believe

Waterboarding stopped LA terror attack

S0, if waterboarding works and prevented a horriffic attack, and saved many lives, we should definitely keep doing it right?

The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) — including the use of waterboarding — caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.

Before he was waterboarded, when KSM was asked about planned attacks on the United States, he ominously told his CIA interrogators, “Soon, you will know.”

According to the previously classified May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that was released by President Barack Obama last week, the thwarted attack — which KSM called the “Second Wave”– planned “ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles.”

KSM was the mastermind of the first “hijacked-airliner” attacks on the United States, which struck the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Northern Virginia on Sept. 11, 2001.

After KSM was captured by the United States, he was not initially cooperative with CIA interrogators.  Nor was another top al Qaeda leader named Zubaydah.  KSM, Zubaydah, and a third terrorist named Nashiri were the only three persons ever subjected to waterboarding by the CIA. (Additional terrorist detainees were subjected to other “enhanced techniques” that included slapping, sleep deprivation, dietary limitations, and temporary confinement to small spaces — but not to water-boarding.)

WRONG! In fact, the Obamassiah is flipping and flopping on maybe even prosecuting those who got the life-saving intel from the terrorists!

President Obama suggested today that it remained a possibility that the Justice Department might bring charges against officials of the Bush administration who devised harsh interrogation policies that some see as torture.

He also suggested that if there is any sort of investigation into these past policies and practices, he would be more inclined to support an independent commission outside the typical congressional hearing process.

Both statements represented breaks from previous White House statements on the matter.

While the Bush-era memos providing legal justifications for enhanced interrogation methods “reflected us losing our moral bearings,” the president said, he also that he did not think it was “appropriate” to prosecute those CIA officers who “carried out some of these operations within the four corners of the legal opinions or guidance that had been provided by the White House.”

But in clear change from language he and members of his administration have used in the past, the president said that “with respect to those who formulated those legal decisions, I would say that is going to be more of a decision for the Attorney General within the parameters of various laws and I don’t want to prejudge that. I think that there are a host of very complicated issues involved there.”

Absolutely disgusting to think this administration would even consider doing this for even a second. Is appeasing the far Left nuts THAT important Mr. President? And how in the Hell does the administration expect the brave Americans trying to STOP terror attacks to take this news? Sure, do what you can to save American lives, but you may be prosecuted if you succeed!

Another day, another Marxist Moron

I used to give these awards out every month, but, frankly, I am just going to give them out as they are warranted. And in this case, it is definitely warranted!

New York could be the first state to ban the sale of cigarettes in drug stores as well as in supermarkets and big-box stores like Wal-Mart that have pharmacies.Sam Hoyt, a Buffalo Democrat and co-sponsor of the bill.

Measures similar to the bill gaining ground in New York have already been enacted in cities such as San Francisco and Boston, in towns and in parts of Canada. But the bill in Albany would be the first statewide ban, according to Assemblyman

Supporters and opponents say the ban would likely lead to further measures to stop the sale of tobacco products.

Like I have been saying, it is all about Nanny-Staters trying to control everything they can. And this is a classic case, instead of just outlawing cigarettes outright, government keeps trying to find new ways to profit off of them, or pass laws to control behaviors.

Just the latest way Obama is looking to tax you!

Once again, we find an example of a new tax the Democrats have planned for consumers.

Now Congress and Obama have their eyes on the Internet to help fund more government spending — because most U.S. States are pushing for the new tax rules that require federal oversight — and Washington is ready and willing to help.  Congress is expected to introduce a bill this week that would require Amazon.com, L.L. Bean, eBay, Cabela’s and other online merchants to collect sales tax on all online purchases and return that money to the state in which the purchaser resides — which may force business that make sales online to abide by the tax laws maintained by each and every state.
The new bill rewrites the ground rules for mail order and Internet sales by eliminating what its supporters view as a “loophole” that, in many cases, allows Americans to shop over the Internet without paying sales taxes.

Currently, Americans who shop over the Internet from out-of-state vendors aren’t always required to pay sales taxes at the time of purchase. Californians buying books from Amazon.com or cameras from Manhattan’s B&H Photo, for example, won’t pay sales taxes at checkout time that they would if shopping at a local mall because their headquarters are located out-of-state.

“We will have the bill ready for introduction by next Monday,” said Neal Osten of the National Conference of State Legislatures. “We finalized the language and now we’re working out the remaining issues and adding some new provisions at the request of various stakeholders.”

The final legislation is expected to be introduced by Rep. Bill Delahunt, a Massachusetts Democrat, who has championed similar proposals in the past. Delahunt’s office on Wednesday confirmed he was interested.

Here is a hint to future voters. When politicians promise tons of new spending, and entitlements, AND swear not to raise taxes, except on the rich of course they are LYING!

They might not hit your income, with higher taxes, but they WILL hit your wallet in other ways, like this proposed internet sales tax. If they tax something, anything, and YOU pay more because of that, then YOU get a tax increase!

Your newest Marxist Moron

Another nutty control freak with too much time on his hands and too little brains in his head! Moron!

A New York City councilman wants to keep school kids away from fast food — or at least keep the fast food restaurants away from them.

Councilman Eric Gioia (JOY’-uh) is unveiling a proposal that would prohibit fast food restaurants from being within one-tenth of a mile of a school. The idea comes after a study this month found students whose schools are within easy walking distance of fast food restaurants are more likely to be obese.

A better idea? A law prohibiting idiots from holding any political office! Hey, think about it, it would have spared us Jimmy Carter

Rudy the RINO decides Gay marriage is bad!

Hmmm, I am perplexed here. Should I link to the story about Rudy and get into whyI think he is a RINO, that has beaten his long-dead “I was at 9/11″ horse to death?

Or should I explain why I really do not care what his take on Gay marriage is?

Maybe you can tell I detest “America’s Mayor”? Yep! I do, I would not trust him as far as I can throw Rosie O’Donell. He was all for suing gun makers, he is pro-abortion, ran a sanctuary city, and is, it sems, a pathetic excuse for a father and a husband!

So, if you care what this sleazeball thinks about Gay marriage knock yourself out! Click the link. Sorry, I occasionally get on a Rudy the RINO Rant!

Oh, and H/T Hot Air!
