Obama blows off National Day of Prayer

Apparently, he will be too busy praying , maybe to himself five times a day!

President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.

All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For the past eight years, President George W. Bush invited selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the White House East Room, where he typically would give a short speech and several leaders offered prayers.

    The day of prayer has not been cancelled, it is merely being observed in a less ostentatious fashion. You are free to disagree, but your casting aspersions on the man’s Christianity because he refuses to act in a pharsaical fashion is both uncalled for and hardly Christian in and of itself.

No, I am simply reporting his decision, it strikes me as odd for ANY president to do what he is doing. I would think he would do a bit more.

Christ said, If you deny me in public….I will deny you before God.

Prayer does not solve anything. Jesus does the solving.

Read history books… Prayer in public is an acknowledgement of the Father and the Son…..

Pray…let us continue to have that right…..as many other rights are being taken from us.
That which is evil, sin…..is openly shown and accepted by some.
Some want to pray.

Which next right would you have us to give up? You cannot choose which verses to accept and beieve. It is not a cafeteria. It is all….or you should not call yourself…..a good person. (Christian) Now…let he who is without sin cast the first post.

  Prayer in public is an acknowledgment of the Father and Son. Are the Father and the Son better served by empty pronouncements of faith or acts that reflect his divine well

  I would rather have a President who lives his Christianity through his deeds, than one whose words invoke one master and his actions another.

I believe, forgive me for my unbelief.

Jesus said, When you pray…..and then he gave words to the Lord’s Prayer.

I would rather have a president who is not ashamed to attend and to honor that event with his presence. For those who do not pray…for those who would say….don’t pray in public… ever remembe a soldier on the battlefield…when hit…..say, “Oh, Christ…Jesus…help me.”

There is a time and a place for everything. What is there about one’s prayer in public that disturbs you? Is it the power of prayer.

I would rather have a president who prays in public…Lincoln, Washington..the list is long. What did they have that Obama does not have?
People do not learn from the past. Christians pray for you everyday.

Do you pray. Or prey.

The two go together. Work without faith and belief….or unbelief..
When did you last clothe the naked….

Work alone is not what Christ taught. That which you word…does not include the whole story.

Why praise a good work…if there is no substance….no other outward appearance.
Did the president pray on his make one world government trip…he did bow to one who is against us. Because he was so short? The
Queen is much shorter….and there was no…even slight…bow to her…which is the custom.
He bowed to acknowledge he was subservient to that Prince.
Is that an act for you. Better for an American president to lead than to hide. The swearing in….no Bible… Then a private swearing in…which book… The Constitutional requirments regarding the inauguration were not followed. Is he really inaugurated?
The term is only beginning…..and we shall see just who he answers to.

I would engage you in a battle of wits….only I never attack an unarmed man.

To be correct …there was a Bible….Obama rushed ahead of the Justice…and the wording was not as required.
Then in private a remark was made…we don’t need a
Bible…when they were looking for one.

Reality. Why do you think the
Secret Service and other have to swear complete silence about what they see and hear? Find one…and have a talk.
What did Pelosi know about torture….and when did she know?
Just an example of how politics works.
