Mehdi Khorasani, commander of police in the Iranian holy city of Qom, which has a great many mosques and seminaries, has announced that police will impound any car whose occupants are not in compliance with the Islamic dress code, as well as cars transporting dogs, and will launch legal proceedings against their owners.
