Not One Red Cent!

This is the name of a new blog Launched recently by Stacy McCain to protest the NRSC’s endorsement of Charlie Crist, the less-than-Conservative governor of Florida in his run for the Senate against Conservative candidate Marco Rubio.

Frankly, the NRSC is as out of touch as the rest of the GOP leadership. Despite the fact that being Conservative wins elections, the NRSC is enndorsing the RINO, AGAIN, and trying to shut out the young Conservative candidate.

Are they addicted to losing? Do they really want to relegate the GOP to second-class stature? Their continued refusal to wake up and change course is exactly what the Democratic Party wants. The moderate Republican strategy fails every time, and it will continue to fail. No one wants to support a party that is afraid to stand for anything, and yet the NRSC seems intent on following the path of spinelessness that has lost the last two elections.

The honeymoon ends

Oh, how we all thought this was true love. But, alas, all good things must come to an end. Code Pinkos vs The Obamassiah and this one, like many romances gone wrong, is going to get ugly!

The shocking truth about Pedlosi

Did Nancy Pelosi lie about knowledge of waterboarding. She really was struggling in a Thursday press conference with her facts it seemed.

Well, my friends, the Troglo Pundit, Lance Burri, has solved the mystery of Pelosi’s memory issues. So go find out the truth for yourself.

Obama’s defense cuts cost the Gateway City 30,000 jobs

That is not going to help the economy now is it? Hope and change anyone?

Thousands of jobs could be in jeopardy at St. Louis’ second largest employer: Boeing. The aerospace company announced the government’s planned defense budget cutbacks will slow production of two locally-built planes and eliminate the jobs of the employees who make them. Michael Moran has helped build hundreds, if not thousands, of C-17 cargo planes.

“We make a good product and we’re proud of it,” Moran said.

But production could soon hit a standstill. In his proposed budget for next year, Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced he has no plans to order any new C-17 planes.

“The working man on the floor, what’s he supposed to think?” Moran said. “We’ve done our job. We’ve given them a quality product. And we know it’s not our fault.”

Panetta: The CIA told Pelosi the truth

A stinging rebuke of Pelosi from CIA head Leon Panetta.

Panetta’s note was sent to reporters via the CIA press office. Here’s the key graph:

“Let me be clear: It is not our policy or practice to mislead Congress. That is against our laws and our values. As the Agency indicated previously in response to Congressional inquiries, our contemporaneous records from September 2002 indicate that CIA officers briefed truthfully on the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, describing “the enhanced techniques that had been employed.” Ultimately, it is up to Congress to evaluate all the evidence and reach its own conclusions about what happened.”

Pelosi’s office has responded, changing her story once again. Now she claims she was blaming guess who?

“We all share great respect for the dedicated men and women of the intelligence community who are deeply committed to the safety and security of the American people. My criticism of the manner in which the Bush Administration did not appropriately inform Congress is separate from my respect for those in the intelligence community who work to keep our country safe. What is important now is to be united in our commitment to ensuring the security of our country; that, and how Congress exercises its oversight responsibilities, will continue to be my focus as we move forward.”

The video of Pelosi’s presser from yesterday is up at Fausta’s watch it and decide for yourself if Pelosi said the CIA lied to Congress. She clearly does! This woman has caught herself in so many various lies now that she sounds like a babbling fool frankly.

I wonder if Pelosi will, at some point, get to meet the underside of Obama’s magic bus? She is obviously lying, and is quickly becoming a walking punch line. It might soon be decided that she is hurting the Democrats, and then……

Update! Hot Air has video of Senator Kit Bond who gives another reason to think Pelosi a liar. She has repeatedly said that the CIA held a briefing and said they were NOT using waterboarding. Bond has been to CIA briefings and says that the CIA does not hold briefings to discuss techniques they DON’T USE!

Video_ Matthews flips on torture!

Odd how Liberals change positions isn’t it? Matthews has been beating the “we don’t torture” horse for years now. All of a sudden he says sure he wants the president to break the rules in the national interst. Hmmmm, is this change due to the evidence that Pelosi, and other leading Democrats no doubt KNEW about “torture” and went along with it?

I mean Matthews really cannot keep bashing Bush if Pelosi, a Liberal hero, was right there with Bush on “torture” can he? So now, as ED Morrissey rightly points out Matthews has to go into verbal gymnastics mode.

The scenario that Matthews spins sounds pretty reminiscent of what the US faced in 2002, when the EITs were used.  We had just seen al-Qaeda vaporize thousands of Americans in the space of 90 minutes, and we had received all kinds of intelligence that another attack may be on its way at any moment. We capture three high-ranking AQ leaders, and we need to find out what they know as quickly as possible, because we don’t know squat and the attack could come at any time.  According to Chris Matthews in this clip, and Chuck Schumer in 2004, start pulling toenails, baby!

We can have a debate over what techniques work and what cross the line, which is the honest debate to have, as long as we have all of the information on what was done, what was gleaned, and what was stopped as a result.  Matthews isn’t interested in honest debate.  He’s parsing madly to keep as much blame as possible on Bush for doing less than Matthews suggests here, while absolving Democrats for their participation.  It’s not just hopeless bias, it’s hackery of the lowest order.

Ah, yes, the Liberal Inconsistency bug strikes yet again. Instead of going after Pelosi as he went after Bush, Matthews goes into nuance mode.

Chris Matthews proves what a prick he is again

Watch the video at Hot Air and ask yourself if Chris Matthews really thinks his show is worth watching for anyone with an IQ above Daily Kos level?

An exit question would everyone else love to sit Matthews and Palin down, and ask them questions about a wide range of topics. I would love to see who really is brighter. Matthews, like Olbermann thinks he is brilliant, but if you really listen to him, you see a lack of intellectual depth frankly.

Sweden approves gender-based abortions

The bottom of the pit of moral retardation!

Sweden has approved gender-specific abortions, allowing parents to rid themselves of an unwanted daughter in a closely-watched ethics case:

Dear God, are these people serious? What kind of parasite looks at a sonogram and says DAMN! A girl! Get rid of it, I want a boy! There is a special place in Hell!

Oh no! Offendeditis outbreak!

History is INSENSITIVE. Heritage is racist, well certain heritages anyway, and thus not fit to be included in our new “inclusive” era!

OK, let’s all get out our super-sensitive inclusive history erasers and just erase those certain parts that offend, or might offend anyone. Well, except those people deeply hurt by erasing those parts of history, or those hurt by the trashing of their heritage! But SCREW THEM! They do not deserve inclusion or sensitivity.

In fact, let’s just pretend the War Between the States never even happened at all! Lets plant our heads fimly up our asses and all agree to be ignorant and uneducated, surely THAT is preferrable to possibly hurting someone’s over-sensitive feelings!

Where “free” health care leads

Nothing is free, anyone with a lick of sense realizes this. Yesterday I told y’all that the Nanny Staters were looking to tax sodas to help pay for health care. I also made a prediction in that post

OK, sure soda taxes, then what? Since that tax will only begin to pay for Nanny Care, what else needs taxing? What other legal product can they tax? What other behavior can they punish? Extra taxes on beef? Candy? Ice Cream? Hamburgers? BBQ? Anything that they deem to high in fat, salt, sugar, calories, etc?

Well, sometimes being right is great, sometimes you wish you hadvnot been right. This is such a case. Today Q and O brings us news that there are HUNDREDS of things the Nany Staters are dreaming of targeting ”for our own good”

The beverage-tax proposal would apply to drinks that many Americans don’t consider unhealthy — such as PepsiCo’s Gatorade and Kraft’s Capri Sun — based on their calorie content.

Health advocates are floating other so-called sin tax proposals and food regulations as part of the government’s health-care overhaul. Mr. Jacobson also plans to propose Tuesday that the government sharply raise taxes on alcohol, move to largely eliminate artificial trans fat from food and move to reduce the sodium content in packaged and restaurant food.

The beverage tax is just one of hundreds of ideas that lawmakers are weighing to finance the health-care plans. They’re expected to narrow the list in coming weeks.

Free? No, nothing is free, there is ALWAYS a price attached ALWAYS! The question is what price are you willing to pay? How muc of your life are you willing to allow Statists to micro-manage?

Sure, they tell us that they will tax “bad things” so that we will be less inclined to engage in those “bad things”. OK, but they also tell us they must tax these things to pay for health care. Now, if the money to pay for care is dependent upon our buying those “bad things”. What happens if we stop buying them? Where will the money to pay come from then? Other things will have to be taxed, tax rates will have to be raised to pay for what we were told was a right. The other alternative will be to cut costs in other ways. In this case health care will have to be rationed. The government will have to decide what treatments you can receive. Think about where this leads. Really think about it.

Now, think again about how much this “free” care that is our “right” will cost us all? Money? Freedom? Our very lives ultimately?

Stunner of the day! Andy Sullivan freaking out again

It seems that little Andy is convinced that Obama is a Neocon! And is losing his lunch that Obama is not going to release photos of what Sullivan just knows was rampant abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib. Apparently Sullivan is foaming at the mouth to prove that our military is just a collection of abusers and thugs.

Sullivan is also going ballistic that Obama is going to adopt a winning strategy in Afghanistan rather than trying to pursue the trumped up, and baseless torture witch hunts. It seems to me Little Andy is more obsessed with smearing our troops than letting them do their job by killing terrorists.

In the end, I must conclude that Sullivan is nothing more than a mentally deranged America basher. Facts? He does not want them. He only wants to prove his deluded fantasies are reality, which of course will never ever happen. Andrew Sullivan needs serious mental health help and soon.

Yes, once again, let it be said, Pelosi KNEW about waterboarding

No matter how many times she changes her story, the fact is this Pelosi knew that waterboarding was used, and she was no doubt, not the only high-ranking Democrat to know. Pelosi lied

A source close to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now confirms that Pelosi was told in February 2003 by her intelligence aide, Michael Sheehy, that waterboarding was actually used on CIA detainee Abu Zubaydah.

This appears to contradict Pelosi’s account that she was never told waterboarding actually happened, only that the administration was considering using it.

Sheehy attended a briefing in which waterboarding was discussed in February 2003, with Rep. Jane Harman, D-California, who took over Pelosi’s spot as the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

This source says Pelosi didn’t object when she learned that waterboarding was being used because she had not been personally briefed about it — only her aide had been told.

I am patiently awaiting the Liberal outrage and calls for Pelosi to be tried. Wonder how long my wait will be?

Cap & Trade? Yes, it will make energy prices skyrrocket

So says a White House memo!

Criticism in an interagency memo of potential government regulation of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act (CAA) — saying it will hurt the economy, and questioning whether such a “precautionary” move would too expansively open up the door for government regulation — was written by a holdover from the Bush administration, an Obama administration official said today.

“Making the decision to regulate CO2 under the CAA for the first time is likely to have serious economic consequences for regulated entities throughout the U.S. economy, including small businesses and small communities,” states one comment in the memo, which were collected and officially sent by the White House’s Office of Management and Budget. “Should EPA later extend this finding to stationary sources, small businesses and institutions would be subject to costly regulatory programs such as New Source Review.”

The comments drew attention from the media (including this blog) when they were posted in an Obama administration interagency review responding to the Environmental Protection Agency finding on greenhouse gases.

An administration official says the comments were written by a Bush holdover in the Office of Advocacy in the Small Business Administration, but did not identify the individual.

H/T Hot Air where Ed Morrissey adds these thoughts that ought to scare everyone about where cap & trade would take our economy and energy prices

The White House may not have officially decided to go ahead with the finding, but they’ve sent every possible hint that they will.  When asked, the White House responds that they want Congress to act via legislation as their first choice, but that hardly closes the door on EPA action by fiat.  If the treatment of Chrysler senior creditors proves anything, it’s that this administration will not hesitate to use any power, legitimate or not, to pursue its policy options and desire for directed outcomes.

This memo destroys the argument made by Obama often over the last two years that cap-and-trade would wind up being an economic boon.  Obama had argued that a renewed emphasis on green energy production would be akin to landing on the moon, a big government program that boosted employment in pursuit of an ambitious goal.  The difference between the two is that the space program didn’t impose massive burdens on the airline industry to pay for it, or on the auto industry, or Amtrak.

And remember that EVERYTHING would cost more if this is adopted. Groceries, electricity, gas, clothes, you name it. Higher energy prices through carbon taxes, will hit the energy companies, but guess what kids? You know what rolls downhill don’t ya? No not that! Taxes on energy companies.
