Brett Favre a Viking?
The source says Favre and the Vikings have come to a contractual agreement with heavy incentives.
On Sunday, Bus Cook, Favre’s agent, denied the report saying the two sides had reached an agreement.
The source also says the Vikings equipment manager has already ordered number 4purple jerseys with Favre’s name on the back.

The latest on Iran
Well, my back is tolerable, at least for a few minutes, so, let’s see what the latest from Iran is.
Donald Douglas is all over the bloodbath in Ieran, and what he calls Obama’s lack of leadership.
Wolf Howling has a great post up, included there is a link to a story about a boy tortured by Iranian thugs, and testimony of a medical student at an Iranian hospital.
I only want to speak about what I have witnessed. I am a medical student. There was chaos at the trauma section in one of our main hospitals. Although by decree, all riot-related injuries were supposed to be sent to military hospitals, all other hospitals were filled to the rim. Last night, nine people died at our hospital and another 28 had gunshot wounds. All hospital employees were crying till dawn. They (government) removed the dead bodies on back of trucks, before we were even able to get their names or other information. What can you even say to the people who don’t even respect the dead. No one was allowed to speak to the wounded or get any information from them. This morning the faculty and the students protested by gathering at the lobby of the hospital where they were confronted by plain cloths anti-riot militia, who in turn closed off the hospital and imprisoned the staff.
The extent of injuries are so grave, that despite being one of the most staffed emergency rooms, they’ve asked everyone to stay and help–I’m sure it will even be worst tonight. What can anyone say in face of all these atrocities? What can you say to the family of the 13 year-old boy who died from gunshots and whose dead body then disappeared?
This issue is not about cheating (election) anymore. This is not about stealing votes anymore. The issue is about a vast injustice inflected on the people. They’ve put a baton in the hand of every 13-14 year old to smash the faces of “the bunches who are less than dirt” (government is calling the people who are uprising dried-up torn and weeds). This is what sickens me from dealing with these issues. And from those who shut their eyes and close their ears and claim the riots are in opposition of the government and presidency!! No! The people’s complaint is against the egregious injustices committed against the people.

Security forces wielding clubs and firing weapons beat back demonstrators who flocked to a Tehran square Wednesday to continue protests, with one witness saying security forces beat people like “animals.” At least two trusted sources described wild and violent conditions at a part of Tehran where protesters had planned to demonstrate.
“They were waiting for us,” the source said. “They all have guns and riot uniforms. It was like a mouse trap.”
“I see many people with broken arms, legs, heads — blood everywhere — pepper gas like war,” the source said.
Around “500 thugs” with clubs came out of a mosque and attacked people in the square, another source said.
The security forces were “”beating women madly” and “killing people like hell,” the source said.
“They beat up a woman so bad she was all bloody,” the source said in a description that underscores the growing and central role of women in the uprising.

My back is bad, and today is really bad, and I am struggling to even sit without pain, so, I will try to get going later. North Korea Threatens To ‘Wipe Out’ U.S.
North Korea threatened Wednesday to wipe the United States off the map as Washington and its allies watched for signs the regime will launch a series of missiles in the coming days.
Off China’s coast, a U.S. destroyer was tailing a North Korean ship suspected of transporting illicit weapons to Burma in what could be the first test of U.N. sanctions passed to punish the nation for an underground nuclear test last month.
The Kang Nam left the North Korean port of Nampo a week ago with the USS John S. McCain close behind. The ship, accused of transporting banned goods in the past, is believed bound for Burma, according to South Korean and U.S. officials.
The new U.N. Security Council resolution requires member states to seek permission to inspect suspicious cargo. North Korea has said it would consider interception a declaration of war and on Wednesday accused the U.S. of seeking to provoke another Korean War.
“If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will… wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all,” the official Korean Central News Agency said.

Obama Website To Compile Health Care Horror Stories For Propaganda Purposes
President Obama has launched an online “health care story bank” that allows citizens to share real-life medical horror stories and stimulate support for his health care plans for the nation.
The blog, located at Obama’s Organizing for America website, is titled “Health Care Stories for America.” It asks visitors to read stories from people across the country and “see the common thread in a crisis that affects us all.”
When a user is moved by a particular story – one that inspires them to act and “reminds us all of the human cost of the status quo” – they may vote to “amplify” the listing by clicking on a megaphone icon or flag it as inappropriate. Clicking the amplify option makes the listing more prominent.
In its terms of service, the story bank notifies users that moderators have the right to “edit, refuse to post or remove any material submitted to or posted on our Website …”
Oscar-Winning Composer ‘Raped 11 Women Using Craigslist To Lure Victims With Promise Of Film Role’
The Oscar-winning composer behind ‘You Light Up My Life’ raped 11 women he lured to his apartment with the promise of a starring role in a movie, prosecutors said today.
The women read an online ad placed by director, Joseph Brooks, applied for the audition ‘and thought this was their chance to become a big star,’ prosecutor Lisa Friel said.
Instead, once the women were in Brooks’ Manhattan apartment, he plied them with wine and forcibly raped them or used threats and coercive behavior to make them have sex with him, prosecutors said.

But, that isn’t what he said last year.
Last year he told a reporter with The San Francisco Chronicle that his cap and trade energy plan would cause electricity rates to skyrocket:
“Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers.”
So, I guess we know that if this cap and trade nonsencse passes we will all be “paying polluters!” Or maybe we shuld be called Paylluters?

Curious? Why is saying an armed people will naturally be LESS opressed than a disarmed people? History has shown this to be true over and again. Still some people, like the newest winner of my Marxist Moron Award just do not get reality I guess.
Senate candidate Marco Rubio is the latest to make his own curious comparison drawn from the Iranian demonstrations — that the protesters would have more success if they had a constitutional right to bear arms.
“I have a feeling the situation in Iran would be a little different if they had a 2nd amendment like ours,” Rubio tweeted on Sunday.
Again I ask, THAT is a curious statement?

No matter who eventually prevails, the Iranian government will still continue their drive to build nuclear weapons. They will still fund terrorists. They will still train terrorists in their country to kill civilians in Israel. They will still train terrorists to kill American soldiers in Iraq.
Well, I do not agree that Iran will always be a threat and supporter of terrorists., If the right type of government were elected, and allowed to grow, Iran could, indeed become a great, free nation.
