Democrats salivating over taxing you over, and over, and…..
Democrats LOVE THEM SOME TAXES!
As the old saying goes, you can pick your poison. But now matter how you slice it, taking over health care and creating a government-run plan is going to be very expensive. Charlie Rangel and the Democrats might start by taxing Medicare for $344 billion in new taxes, then adding a new tax on soda for $112 billion, a new alcohol tax for $61 billion, and a new tax on employer-provided health care for $200 billion – but that still leaves them more than $3 trillion short.
Nevertheless, they are gamely going at it – studying all the possible ways they can think of to gouge you for the privilege of ruining your health care:

However, Republicans (and the Palin family) tried to twist this quip into a joke about Letterman wanting to rape their underage daughter, which was subsequently followed by phony outrage.
I’m sorry “fellow Republicans”… But when will we get a clue? Before Reagan, we were seen as the party that couldn’t take a joke. The Gipper fixed that one for us. Now, however, because of silly Conservatives using political correctness as a fulcrum for political gain, we find ourselves right back at square one.
One of my goals in life is to watch political correctness shrivel up and die (as it should be for any true Conservative). I can’t do that however, if Republicans insist on resuscitating it back to life every time they want to act “offended.” Do we really want to be the person at the party around which everyone has to tiptoe around for fear of offending our sensibilities? Come on… We’re not supposed to be “that guy.” Leave that kind of crap to the Sean Penn pansies of the world.
I do understand the Palin’s getting upset, but crap like this? And this? Yeah THAT is the Conservative way! Let’s all say screw the important issues and become as whiny as the Left! We can go around just looking to have an onset of Offendeditis, and then we can seek, as the Left does, to win the war of ideals, not with IDEAS, but with thuggish intimidation.
Yep! That is what America needs, a country where the Right, joins the Left in the effort to scare everyone into silence. Hell, let’s all just act like hypersensitive people who seem only to be happy when we are offended.
Yes, I know lots of folks I tend to agree with are on the other side of this, but that is OK. My respect for them has not changed because I disagree on this. And I am damned sure not going to be afraid of speaking up and defending the Conservative way of handling this. And let me say, again, whining and engaging in fake outrage after Letterman has apologized, and the Palin’s have accepted will gain us nothing!
Political correctness should be the target of Conservatives, not our new strategy.

What’s going to happen?, you ask. Nobody knows, even the major actors. The regime has the guns, and the opposition has the numbers. The question is whether the numbers can be successfully organized into a disciplined force that demands the downfall of the regime. Yes, I know that there have been calls for a new election, or a runoff between Mousavi and Ahmadinezhad. But I don’t think that’s very likely now. The tens of millions of Iranians whose pent-up rage has driven them to risk life and limb against their oppressors are not likely to settle for a mere change in personnel at this point. And the mullahs surely know that if they lose, many of them will face a very nasty and very brief future.
If the disciplined force comes into being, the regime will fall. If not, the regime will survive. Can Mousavi lead such a force? If anyone had said, even a few days ago, that Mousavi would lead a nation-wide insurrection, he’d have been laughed out of the room. Very few foresaw anything like the current situation, although I will claim credit for predicting that neither side in the electoral circus would accept the official verdict.
Does Mousavi even want to change the system? I think he does, and in any event, I think that’s the wrong question. He is not a revolutionary leader, he is a leader who has been made into a revolutionary by a movement that grew up around him. The real revolutionary is his wife, Zahra Rahnavard. And the real question, the key question in all of this, is: why did Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei permit her to become such a charismatic figure? How could he have made such a colossal blunder? It should have been obvious that the very existence of such a woman threatened the dark heart of the Islamic Republic, based as it is on the disgusting misogyny of its founder, the Ayatollah Khomeini

The Congressional Budget Office has tried crunching the numbers on Barack Obama’s plan to reform health care, which Obama says will save money and protect the uninsured. The CBO director on his official blog says, “Wrong!” — on both counts. The reform plan will cost more than a trillion dollars over the next decade, and while it will put 39 million people on insurance plans, it will drive off more than 23 million more from their existing plans. The cost doesn’t include Obama’s public plan option, either:

Yes, Mr. President Islamofascim is very real.
Very real indeed! Now, what sir, shall you, as the most powerful man on earth do? Will you lead a charge for freedom? Or will you, remain tragically silent?
The Obama administration’s response to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s fraudulent election victory is cowardly, lily-livered and wrong. The White House’s refusal to officially question the result or even condemn the brutal suppression of opposition protestors, is undermining America’s standing as a global power, and is little more than a face-saving, cynical exercise in appeasement that will all end in tears.
Vice President Joe Biden, while expressing “some real doubt” about the election, summed up the administration’s position on Sunday’s Meet the Press – “we’re going to withhold comment… I mean we’re just waiting to see.” Waiting to see what Mr. Biden? More savage beatings of opposition supporters including women? The further arrest of hundreds of opposition leaders? Even greater suppression of the press and free speech?
Well Mr. President? The world is waiting, and watching This is no time for teleprompters, or carefully scripted orations sir, it is time for you to be the President of the United State of America and LEAD! You like change Mr. President? And Hope? Well, Mr. President the people of Iran love those things too. They desire only to have their votes count. Breitbart reported:President Barack Obama says he believes supreme leader Ayatollah ali Khamenei has deep concerns about the civil unrest that has followed the hotly contested presidential election there.
Obama repeated Tuesday at a news conference his “deep concerns” about the disputed balloting. He said he believes the ayatollah’s decision to order an investigation “indicates he understands the Iranian people have deep concerns.”
But at the same time, Obama said it would not be helpful if the United States was seen by the world as “meddling” in the issue.

Safer, less violent knives!
The first “anti-stab” knife is to go on sale in Britain, designed to work as normal in the kitchen but to be ineffective as a weapon.
The knife has a rounded edge instead of a point and will snag on clothing and skin to make it more difficult to stab someone.
It was invented by industrial designer John Cornock, who was inspired by a documentary in which doctors advocated banning traditional knives.
Mr Cornock, 42, from Swindon, said that the knife will cut vegetables, but will make it almost impossible to stab someone to death and will reduce the risk of accidental injuries.

Letterman apologizes to the Palins
On his show last night, David Letterman said he was sorry for his stupid, confusing, offensive joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter(s).
Some on the right, are not satisfied with his apology. My take is this, he likely was not truly sorry. Most public figures apologies over offensive remarks are not sincere.
While many of these “outrages” that end up in some fake, scripted apology are completely baseless, think about the apologies that race pimps like Je$$e Jackson demand over siome offense that they, more than anyone else created or fabricated. I can appreciate that Sarah Palin wanted an apology, I can also appreciate the Right coming to the defense of her and her daughters. I could completely understand if Todd Palin decked Letterman over his remarks. In fact, I might pay to watch that.
For those demanding Letterman be fired though, a word of warning. How many times has some Liberal group, played this card? Think about it. Do we REALLY want to be like them? Do we really want to further this PC idea that anyone making an offensive remark should be out of a job?
Yes, what Letterman “joked” about was offensive and he ought to be ashamed, but a comedian putting his foot in his mouth is nothing new. He apologized, and I see no benefit in seeking to destroy him over this.
Leave the Liberals to their thin-skinned carping and whining. Let us move on to reclaiming our Conservative principles, and thus majorities in the House and Senate. Let us fight like Hell to ward off Obamacare, and cap and trade, and the rest of Obama’s radical agenda.
Let us waste no more energy on Letterman, no one watches his dried up show anyway.
