Obama and his Socialist background

Great info that I have posted about before. The Bluegrass Pundit is here to remind all of us that many of Obama’s “friends” and close associates are, indeed, Marxist, or at least sympthetic to Marxism.  Be sure to read the entire piece.

Who is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen? Tough call that one. I mean there are a few that are really in their own class of beauty.

Halle Berry, Emma Smms, Salma Hayek, Vanessa Williams all come to mind. But if I was going to pick one woman as the most incredible I have ever seen, it would have to be Lisa Marie Scott, she is smply beyond description to me.

Where ObamaCare leads?

To some TOUGH choices!

Let’s back up for a minute. I noted some time ago Jay Rockefeller went on record to say that at some point the government has to decide whether or not you are allowed to receive any more medical benefits if the cost outweighs the potential benefits.

As Mickey Kaus has noted, both Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias are on record agreeing. Kaus writes:

Democratic blogger Ezra Klein appears to be positioning Dem health care reforms as a way to cut costs, on the grounds that a reformed system will be able to make “hard choices” and “rational” coverage decisions, by which Klein seems to mean “not providing” treatments that are unproven or too expensive–when “a person’s life, or health, is not worth the price.” Matthew Yglesias’ recent post seems to be saying the same thing, though clarity isn’t its strong suit.

Folks, this is the road ObamaCare will take us down. Is that what you want for this great nation? Is it? Do you want the government deciding who gets treatment? Who is “worth” saving? And yes, in he end deciding who lives and who dies.

There are, of course, other troubling aspects to ObamaCare. Take a gander at this piece

PRESIDENT Obama promises that “if you like your health plan, you can keep it,” even after he reforms our health-care system. That’s untrue. The bills now before Congress would force you to switch to a managed-care plan with limits on your access to specialists and tests.

Two main bills are being rushed through Congress with the goal of combining them into a finished product by August. Under either, a new government bureaucracy will select health plans that it considers in your best interest, and you will have to enroll in one of these “qualified plans.” If you now get your plan through work, your employer has a five-year “grace period” to switch you into a qualified plan. If you buy your own insurance, you’ll have less time.

And as soon as anything changes in your contract — such as a change in copays or deductibles, which many insurers change every year — you’ll have to move into a qualified plan instead (House bill, p. 16-17).

When you file your taxes, if you can’t prove to the IRS that you are in a qualified plan, you’ll be fined thousands of dollars — as much as the average cost of a health plan for your family size — and then automatically enrolled in a randomly selected plan (House bill, p. 167-168).

It’s one thing to require that people getting government assistance tolerate managed care, but the legislation limits you to a managed-care plan even if you and your employer are footing the bill (Senate bill, p. 57-58). The goal is to reduce everyone’s consumption of health care and to ensure that people have the same health-care experience, regardless of ability to pay.

See, you can keep your insurance, for a while anyway, as long as it meets certain criteria.

Again,is this liberty? Or is it slavery?

More transparency from Team Obama!

Weasel Zippers brings us the latest bit of transparency from this administration of hope. Personally, I wonder how soon this guy’s approval rating seriously tank. The economy is bad, and getting worse. No wonder Obama is trying to hide just how bad the economic news is.

The saddest oart is that if this president KNOWS how bad it is, and is trying to hide it just to pass his health care plan, then he must know how negatively this will effect the economy. If that is true, WHY is he pushing buttons he knows will hurt the country.

Maybe this is more than just not wasting a good crisis. Maybe this is about creating more cisis to “fundamentally change” our nation.

YES! I have made the headlines of the world’s most infamous blogger again! But look ast the headline.

DALEY GATOR: If either Stacy McCain’s wife or Jesse Malkin is reading this blog, it’s important to understand that Doug is just joking. Ha. Haha. Hahaha. He’s a barrel of laughs, that Doug, I tellya . . .

This is in responsde to my post entitled

Robert Stacy McCain loves Michelle Malkin! where I noted how much Stacy loves Michelle’s new book. I also noted that in my opinion

Hey, every Conservative guy has a crush on Michelle….

Which, of course, is true. So, let me reassure Stacy, his lovely wife, and Michelle’s hubby that I meant that as a compliment. So, please do not hurt Stacy MaCain, he is a good guy. I mean he links my blog quite a bit, so,obviously he is OK!

New Blog alert!

Go have alook it has promise! Lance is taking a look too. One bit of advice for Noah, link the DaleyGator! ALL the cool bloggers are doing it!

Democrats do not want THEIR OWN health care plan?

Oh, they want it for us, whether we desire it or not. But, for them? not so much~

Obamacare is good enough for Americans but not good enough for the Senate.

“On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan. Yet all Democrats — with the exceptions of acting chairman Chris Dodd, Barbara Mikulski and Ted Kennedy via proxy — voted nay.”

Things that make you see how hypoctical Democrasts, or most of them, are

Hats off to The Other McCain

Two Million hits? Congrats!

Your Sunday dose of Prager

I am a big fan of Dennis Prager, so, when I saw this video posted at Moonbattery I just had to post it for my readers, yes, all six of you.

Video of ESPN’s Erin Andrews nude?

Apparently so, Donald Douglas is using this info to test the famed Hot Babes Google Bomb theory ESPN is testing it’s how fast can our lawyers nail a pervert theory!

Seriously, this was a sick trick to pull, I hope Erin gets a chance to kick the guy in the nuts! Repeatedly! Seriously, this is a deplorable act that deserves, and shall receive some painful punishment.

Andrews, is a lovely woman, but, is also a hard working sports journalist that has never, to my knowledge, used her looks to advance her place at ESPN.

There is some debate among Conservative bloggers whether or not this type of story should be posted about. Why wouldn’t it be? It is news after all, and that is what bloggers do, we post news, comment on it, and there you go.

On a personal note, I am aware that Erin IS a graduate of the University of Florida, so, I would relish the opportunity to punch the punk who victimized her in his face! Or, maybe we just sentence hin to 15 minutes of being run over by Tim Tebow? Yes! I like that!

The Other McCain weighs in with a similar take in the “outrage” some are showing over Donald Douglas blogging about this.

Criminal voyeurism isn’t sexy. Nevertheless, crime is news, and the fact that so many people felt the need to comment on it just goes to show why the most famous headline in history was the New York Post’s “HEADLESS BODY IN TOPLESS BAR.” Or, as Hunter S. Thompson observed in Hell’s Angels, “Every editor loves a good rape.”

Maybe this is another example of how New Media helps demystify what Old Media has been doing for years. Dr. Douglas shows you the strings in the puppet show — “Look, I’m shamefully exploiting prurient interest!” — and you say, “That’s disgusting!”

OK, so next time Greta Van Sustern flies off to a tropical island to search for the missing blonde teenager . . .

Very well said, Now if someone praises this act then yes, they deserve scorn, but simply posting about it? And the whole accusation that Douglas was only posting it to get hits? No other blogger EVER did that did they? No other blogger ever posted about anything unpleasant, or despicable, or came up with a headline to get traffic? Riiiiiiiight!

Obama: Socialized medicine will save you money! CBO: Not so much

Via Sister Toldjah! Obama has vowed that his health care plan will save Americans money! Hell, that is better than FREE! However, the non-partisan, nothing but the facts Congressional Budget Office has the ugly truth!

Answering questions from Democrat Kent Conrad of North Dakota at a hearing of the Senate Budget Committee today, Elmendorf said CBO does not see health care cost savings in either of the partisan Democratic bills currently in Congress.

Conrad:  Dr. Elmendorf, I am going to really put you on the spot because we are in the middle of this health care debate, but it is critically important that we get this right.  Everyone has said, virtually everyone, that bending the cost curve over time is critically important and one of the key goals of this entire effort.  From what you have seen from the products of the committees that have reported, do you see a successful effort being mounted to bend the long-term cost curve?

Elmendorf:  No, Mr. Chairman.  In the legislation that has been reported we do not see the sort of fundamental changes that would be necessary to reduce the trajectory of federal health spending by a significant amount.  And on the contrary, the legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs.

Conrad:  So the cost curve in your judgement is being bent, but it is being bent the wrong way.  Is that correct?

Elmendorf:  The way I would put it is that the curve is being raised, so there is a justifiable focus on growth rates because of course it is the compounding of growth rates faster than the economy that leads to these unsustainable paths.  But it is very hard to look out over a very long term and say very accurate things about growth rates.  So most health experts that we talk with focus particularly on what is happening over the next 10 or 20 years, still a pretty long time period for projections, but focus on the next 10 or 20 years and look at whether efforts are being made that are bringing costs down or pushing costs up over that period.

As we wrote in our letter to you and Senator Gregg, the creation of a new subsidy for health insurance, which is a critical part of expanding health insurance coverage in our judgement, would by itself increase the federal responsibility for health care that raises federal spending on health care.  It raises the amount of activity that is growing at this unsustainable rate and to offset that there has to be very substantial reductions in other parts of the federal commitment to health care, either on the tax revenue side through changes in the tax exclusion or on the spending side through reforms in Medicare and Medicaid.  Certainly reforms of that sort are included in some of the packages, and we are still analyzing the reforms in the House package.  Legislation was only released as you know two days ago.  But changes we have looked at so far do not represent the fundamental change on the order of magnitude that would be necessary to offset the direct increase in federal health costs from the insurance coverage proposals.

Folks, let us use our common sense here. Congress has been talking over and again about finding money to PAY for the Marxist bill. The president today said they STILL have to find the money, what do you think that means? TAXES, TAXES, and TAXES! If everyone is paying new taxes, higher taxes, then how in the Blue Hell could ObamaCare possibly  save anyone money?

Really, this is not difficult, just think about it!

Senator Sessions Announces His Intention To Do Crack Cocaine

Somebody Give This Kid A Cookie!

A ten-year-old boy left home alone with his sister used his mother’s gun to shoot an intruder in the face, police said.

Late Tuesday, West Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies received a call to a Port Allen apartment complex after several shots rang out from inside one of the apartments. “You are out here trying to work and for someone to come and do that and invade your home is very hard,” the children’s mother said. She asked to not be identified.

Deputies say Dean Favron and Roderick Porter knocked several times on the apartment door. The two young children, a ten-year-old boy and eight-year-old girl, stood on the other side, terrified. “He told his sister to be quiet and seconds later, they started kicking on the door and finally kicked the door in,” said Sheriff Mike Cazes. The two children ran to their mother’s bedroom closet.

In a panic, the ten-year-old grabbed his mother’s gun for protection. “He did what I told him to do. I never told him to get the gun, but thank God he did,” she said. Once the two suspects opened the door, threatening the kids, deputies say the boy fired a bullet into the lip of Roderick Porter. The two men were taken to the hospital, where they were later arrested.

Keeping Granny In The Freezer Is Perfectly Legal – Baltimore Sun

Anne Arundel County prosecutors said it is legal to not report a death and to put the body in a freezer – as was discovered in a Glen Burnie apartment over the weekend – leading legislators in the county’s delegation to consider a new round of efforts to make it against the law.

On Friday night, police were called to an apartment in the 7400 block of Furnace Branch Road because the body of Doris Lea Cooke, 83, who had been ailing and bedridden for years, was in the freezer.

Police were told that the grandmother died several weeks ago in the apartment she shared with family members and that they stored her body in the freezer.

State law requires health care and other professionals to report a death. The legislature rebuffed efforts to have that requirement apply to individuals a decade ago.

We are going to see if we can do something about it,” said Del. Theodore J. Sophocleus, a lawmaker from Linthicum. “I am going to introduce it again.”

ATMs Defend Themselves With Pepper Spray – Guardian

Cash machines offer an ever-growing menu of services beyond merely dispensing money. For tampering criminals, this now includes a squirt of pepper spray in the face.

The extreme measure is the latest in South Africa’s escalating war against armed robbers who target banks and cash delivery vans. The number of cash machines blown up with explosives has risen from 54 in 2006 to 387 in 2007 and nearly 500 last year.

The technology uses cameras to detect people tampering with the card slots. Another machine then ejects pepper spray to stun the culprit while police response teams race to the scene.

But the mechanism backfired in one incident last week when pepper spray was inadvertently inhaled by three technicians who required treatment from paramedics.

Obama’s Gay Men’s Cars!

R.S. McCain has the details AND a catchy new slogan for Chevy

I’m thinking Chevrolet needs a new slogan: “We’re here! We’re queer! We’re driving Chevy!”

Hmmm, not too bad. Although he could go with something more cutting edge I guess. Something like ads featuring Bruno talking about all the room for large packages in the back seat? Or “Try Chevy’s new rear-entry hatchback, the all new Chevy San Francisco.”

No author is an island. Robert Stacy McCain, fellow ink-stained wretch-turned blogger and co-author of the essential Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party, provided invaluable writerly advice and counsel (every bit of which I took except . . .

Like I said, no shock that he loves her new book, and it does not stun me that he gets mentioned in her book. Although I am a tad jealous. What does surprise me is that RS McCain can read! Next thing you know, someone will tell me that Lance Burri can read!
