Video- Michelle rips Obama’s payback syndrome

Video is at Hot Air. And frankly, it is more of the same Chicago-style cronyism. So much for hope and change folks. Of course, the Left will ignore the facts and the trail of slime, and focus on smearing the GOP.

Fun fact: Olbermann’s segment tonight on Obama’s Copenhagen trip was entitled, I kid you not, “Is the GOP anti-Olympics?”

Anti-Olympics huh? Is that worse or better than being called RAAAAACIST?

Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” OOPS!

He is sorry. YEAH RIGHT!

When idiots put their minds together

They get even more idiotic!

Expensive eco-hysterics take to the Senate floor today. Democrat Sens. Barbara Boxer and John Kerry are set to unveil their “climate change” plan this morning.

The Institute for Energy Research has posted the two advance drafts of the bill and provides helpful analysis.

Read the whole thing folks, it is a classic example of how inane Leftists are.

AP just loves them some Michelle O!

Pundit & Pundette has the latest outbreak of spontaneous Obamagasms

I hope Sam Adams made EXTRA Octoberfest

Sarah Palin book reachers #1, Leftist’s heads spontaneously explode

Thank YOU Sarah! Jimmie has the details

Dear Lord, the left must be in Code Yellow Pants-Wetting Mode right now. Sarah Palin’s book Going Rogue: An American Life is the top seller on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble seven weeks before its release date and barely two days after the release date was announced. Heck, it’s so far from hitting the shelves that there isn’t even a cover available for the book’s page on Amazon yet.

So, if you hear a loud POP, that is just Keith Olbermann’s head exploding, no biggie. It is not like there is much in his head anyway.

Watching the gun grabbers

If you think the Left’s war against your right to self-defense is over, think again! The Classic Liberal is watching them

The California General Assembly has passed legislation to outlaw Internet sales of ammunition. The bill would prevent retailers like Cabelas from selling ammunition over the phone or internet to California residents. The legislation is awaiting Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s veto or signature. He has until October 11th to sign or veto the bill before it becomes law without his signature.

Assembly Bill 962 would require that all sales of ammunition be conducted in face-to-face exchanges. The bill would also require the seller to obtain the buyer’s thumbprint and record the buyer’s driver’s license information.

Update on McCain’s invasion of Kentucky

RS McCain is doing what he does best. Blogging and reporting. Frankly, I think the MSM should be required to read his blog! They would learn some things. like how to not interview Right-Wing Extermists! And how TO interview attractive 20-year-old girls.

Hmmm, perhaps I should follow in his shoes? I think this country needs a blogger to travel, across the country perhaps, to investigate Hooters. Why Hooters you ask? Well, Hooters was the first inductee to my Politically Incorrect Hall of Fame, oddly enough, RS Mccain was my second  inductee. I inducted Hooters because they are offensive to radical feminists afflicted with PBS, Perpetual Bitterness Syndrome, and the prudes at the American Family Association as well. They also offend animal right’s nuts, and likely MADD too.

So, perhaps I should see for myself if Hooters is still a politically incorrect establishment. I have to protect the integrity of my Politically Incorrect Hall of Fame after all.

I am willing to sacrifice my time, and energy, no matter how many wings I have to eat, no matter how many sporting events I must watch, no matter how much cold beer I must drink, and yes, I will even offer to talk to hundreds of attractive Hooters girls. I would do all of that, in the interest of blogging my friends. God I am a selfless bastard!

So, send me some donations, to fund this trip, and I will do my best to serve you, my readers. See how much I love ya’ll?

Blog headline of the day

It is at Three Beers Later Pedophilia… It’s the New Gay!

Another line drawn by Lance Burri

From the Bacon Line, Lance has advanced to defend the Underground Blogging Lair! What is it about Badgers and underground lairs? Hiding from Gators probably.

And what IS behind the door marked “reparations” anyway?

Warner Todd Huston knows and shares the very ugly, radical truth behind those supporting this sham.

If you want to know what the ultimate goal is of those that want reparations for the American slave trade, you have to look no farther than a telling quote that appeared in the Memphis Commercial Appeal on September 25.

For slavery reparation advocates, the ultimate desire is not contrition, no apology will do, no memorial statues or finger wagging in Congress is satisfactory. Nothing less than punitive sanctions against living Americans for an institution that is 150 years dead is what these people want.

The article in question details the efforts of Memphis Congressman Steve Cohen (D, Tenn.) who has been spearheading a resolution that would see Congress launching a commission that would study reparation proposals.

The quote in question comes from Detroit City Council member JoAnne Watson. She said that an apology is just the first step in the reparations process. (my bold)

She said the second step is investigation, the third step is compensation and the fourth step is consequences for wrongdoing… “We are worth it,” Watson said. “We’re not begging. It’s ours.”

Just like every other mission the far left is behind, abortion, gun control, higher taxes, more government regulations, reparations are not about “justice” or ”fairness”. Not in the least. They are about destroying America, and pushing us further from liberty.

ObamaCare summed up nicely

The Washington Rebel nails it!

Video-Michael Steele describes Thomas Friedman to perfection

Weasel Zippers has the clip. Thank you Michael Steele, it is about damn time the GOP leadership started striking back and telling the truth. And, yes, Friedman is a certifiable nutjob! I am sure Michael Medved, David Brooks, and the rest of the Meghan McCain wing of the GOP will be aghast at Steele’s honesty, but who really cares what they think.

You Mislead! Fact-Checking Obama – National Review

It is a good thing that other congressmen did not follow Rep. Joe Wilson’s lead. If they yelled out every time President Obama said something untrue about health care, they would quickly find themselves growing hoarse.

By our count, the president made more than 20 inaccurate claims in his speech to Congress. We have excluded several comments that are deeply misleading but not outright false. (For example: Obama pledged not to tap the Medicare trust fund to pay for reform. But there is no money in that “trust fund,” anyway, so the pledge is meaningless.) Even so, we may have missed one or more false statements by the president. Our failure to include one of his comments in the following list should not be taken to constitute an endorsement of its accuracy, let alone wisdom.

1. “Buying insurance on your own costs you three times as much as the coverage you get from your employer.” The Congressional Budget Office writes, “Premiums for policies purchased in the individual insurance market are, on average, much lower – about one-third lower for single coverage and one-half lower for family policies.” It is true that individual insurance policies are generally 30 percent less comprehensive than employer-provided insurance, and comparable individual policies are about twice as expensive. But much of the extra cost is a function of the tax penalty on purchasing such insurance and the stunted market that penalty has yielded.

2. “There are now more than 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage.” An outright falsehood, whether you use the president’s noncitizen-free estimate or the standard, questionable estimate of 46 million uninsured residents.

A study prepared for the federal government estimates that 9 million people counted as “uninsured” in the standard estimate are in fact enrolled in Medicaid. The left-leaning Urban Institute estimates that 12 million are eligible but not enrolled, meaning they could get coverage at any time. Health economists Mark Pauly of the University of Pennsylvania and Kate Bundorf of Stanford estimate that one quarter to three quarters of the uninsured can afford to purchase coverage, but choose not to do so.

Public Option Fails In Key Committee Health Vote – Washington Examiner

The Senate Finance Committee gaveled a nail in the coffin of government-run health insurance, with moderate Senate Democrats casting the deciding votes to reject the proposal and sending a strong signal to Democratic leaders that the “public option” will not have enough support to clear the full Senate.

The Finance Committee, which is currently drafting a bill, rejected two amendments that would have created a government-run plan, one tying doctor reimbursement rates to Medicare, the other making those reimbursement rates negotiable.

The latter amendment, by Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., considered more moderate because of the negotiable reimbursement rates, was an important test case for the public option’s chances in the Senate.

Schumer’s amendment was opposed by every Republican and three Democrats, Sens. Kent Conrad, of North Dakota, Blanche Lincoln, of Arkansas and the panel chairman, Sen. Max Baucus, of Montana.

“My goal is get a bill out of committee, a bill that will become law, a bill that can get 60 votes,” Baucus said, explaining his decision, “and I don’t see how a bill with a public option can get 60 votes.”

Nanny State Beer Is Weakest Ever – BDaily

A Scottish brewer criticised for making Britain’s strongest beer is fighting back by launching the weakest – and calling it Nanny State.

BrewDog admits it launched the 1.1% alcohol ale in response to the outcry caused after launching ‘Tokyo’, which has an 18.2% alcohol content.

Health experts said such a high-alcohol percentage could cause as much damage as drinking to excess as one 330ml contains twice the recommended daily alcohol limit.

The new beer, on the other hand, has such a low-alcohol content that the Government does not class it as a beer and it is not subject to beer duty.

BrewDog founder James Watt wrote on his blog: “If logic serves, the same people who witch-hunted and publicly slated us should now offer us heartfelt support and public congratulations. However I fear that this, unfortunately, is an arena devoid of logic and reason.”

Billionaire Clown Heads For Space Station – AP

A spacecraft carrying Canadian circus tycoon Guy Laliberte and two crew mates lifted off from the Kazakh steppe on schedule Wednesday headed for the International Space Station.

The Soyuz capsule carrying the Cirque du Soleil founder, U.S. astronaut Jeffrey Williams and Russian cosmonaut Maxim Surayev shed its rocket stages and entered orbit minutes after shooting up from the Baikonur launch facility atop a tower of flame.

Friends and family on the ground waited anxiously and then burst into cheers when an announcement that the ship was in orbit came over the loudspeaker. There were ecstatic hugs, sobs of relief and chants of “Guy! Guy!” They then broke into a rendition of Elton John’s “Rocket Man.”

“I’m very happy for him. It’s amazing,” said Laliberte’s partner, former model Claudia Barilla, tears streaming down her face as she cradled her youngest son. “Now we know he’s up there.”

Footage from the capsule showed Surayev and Williams strapped in, operating controls and waving occasionally for the camera. A mission control official communicating with the astronauts said they were in excellent spirits, and a NASA TV announcer said they were “safely in orbit.”

The are scheduled to arrive at the International Space Station, orbiting 220 miles (355 kilometers) above Earth, on Friday.

ACORN Gets Million Dollar ‘Fire Prevention’ Grant

FEMA Grant To ACORN Is Offensive – Big Government

Earlier this month and despite the public scrutiny over the voter fraud and felony criminal activity associated with ACORN, the Department of Homeland Security went ahead and granted $997,402 to ACORN under the FY 2008 Fire Prevention and Safety Program.

To most people, the timing and the amount of the grant would seem off base, but when you take into account the fact that DHS awarded ACORN–an organization with no clear expertise in fire safety and prevention–a fire prevention and safety grant, it’s just plain offensive.

With fire departments all over Louisiana – and the rest of the country – struggling to make ends meet and get the equipment and training they need to protect their local communities, the idea of a million dollar grant going to ACORN is unsettling, to say the least.

I’ve had grave reservations about ACORN for some time, and over the past year we’ve seen numerous examples of serious allegations of wrongdoing on the part of this organization and its employees across the country. I simply can’t see the logic behind diverting much needed funding from worthy fire departments to this organization.

So last week, I wrote a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano requesting that she rescind this grant from ACORN. As of today, the Secretary has not responded to my request. This site will post a copy of the letter for you to read and see for yourself.

Rest assured, I’ll keep working to help prevent further ACORN schemes to procure federal money.
