Obama Administration To N.C. Town: No, You Can’t Have Nonpartisan Elections
Justice Concludes Black Voters Need Democratic Party – Washington Times
Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections, but the Obama administration recently overruled the electorate and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party.
The Justice Department’s ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their “candidates of choice” – identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black.
The department ruled that white voters in Kinston will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats and that therefore the city cannot get rid of party affiliations for local elections because that would violate black voters’ right to elect the candidates they want.
Several federal and local politicians would like the city to challenge the decision in court. They say voter apathy is the largest barrier to black voters’ election of candidates they prefer and that the Justice Department has gone too far in trying to influence election results here.
Stephen LaRoque, a former Republican state lawmaker who led the drive to end partisan local elections, called the Justice Department’s decision “racial as well as partisan.”
“On top of that, you have an unelected bureaucrat in Washington, D.C., overturning a valid election,” he said. “That is un-American.”

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin is on a field trip to Cuba, on a State Department sanctioned expedition, in order to learn about disaster preparedness.
One might think that after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Ray Nagin would know just about all there is to know about how to prepare for a hurricane. Trial by fire, as they say. However, it seems as if Mayor Nagin believes he can learn something from Cuba.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – R&B star Beyonce Knowles has postponed a planned concert in Malaysia, the event’s organizer said Monday, following accusations by Islamic conservatives that the show would be immoral.
Knowles, known for her provocative clothes and choreography, had been scheduled to perform at a Kuala Lumpur stadium Oct. 25. The show “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly,” Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement.

If they tell you that they want single payer “eventually” then they are going to work towards that end. That IS their oft-stated goal. Trust me, they are going to do everything they can to push us towards their utopian health care system. How do I know? Because they keep letting that truth slip out.

Raj Rajaratnam Simultaneously Funds Sri Lanka Terror Group And US Democratic Party – Asian Tribune
The FBI arrested and indicted Sri Lanka born U.S. hedge fund magnate Raj Rajaratnam, according to the details disclosed by the ABC news network, has given more than US $3.5 million to the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) whose assets were frozen by the U.S. Treasury Department in November 2007 because of its alleged ties to Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tigers.
Rajaratnam is the single largest known U.S. contributor to a charity linked to the Tamil Tiger terror group in Sri Lanka, according to the ABCNews.com.
ABC also notes that the TRO fund coordinator Ranjithan’s home was raided by the FBI in 2006 because of his ties to TRO.
Raj Rajaratnam is also known as a big donor to the Democratic Party and to Obama campaign last year.
It turns out arrested hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam — charged in a $20 million insider trading case — has given big to the party in power.
One of the criminal complaints accuses Rajaratnam, 52, considered the richest Sri Lankan in the world, of conspiring with Intel Capital treasury department managing director Rajiv Goel and Anil Kumar, a director of McKinsey & Co. The alleged offenses took place over three years starting in January 2006.
Early on Friday evening, a U.S. magistrate judge in New York said Rajaratnam may be released on a $100 million personal recognizance bond secured by $20 million in cash and property.
In a brief appearance, Rajaratnam sat in court with his arms folded. The judge restricted his travel to a radius of 110 miles from Manhattan and Rajaratnam, a citizen of both Sri Lanka and the United States, surrendered travel documents.
A prosecutor argued that Rajaratnam was a flight risk, but his lawyer Jim Walden said: “A court’s going to learn there’s a lot more to this case. There is no way that this man is going to flee.”

Hillary Clinton Suffers ‘Mis-Speaking’ Relapse With Belfast Bomb Claims – London Times
Hillary Clinton has been caught out “mis-speaking” again in a manner that suggests that she hasn’t learnt from past experiences of her globe-trotting, “lily-gilding” speeches.
The US Secretary of State was exposed during her battle with Barack Obama to become the Democratic presidential nominee over her claims to have landed in Bosnia under sniper fire.
She was even described as “a wee bit silly” for claiming greater credit than was her due for the Irish peace process, having made several visits to Northern Ireland as First Lady.
She was back in Belfast last week, giving a gentle push to politicians dragging their heels over a final piece in the peace process jigsaw.
But according to the Sunday Life newspaper, during a speech she made to the Stormont parliament she said that Belfast’s landmark Europa Hotel was devastated by an explosion when she first stayed there in 1995.
The Europa, where most journalists covering the decades-long conflict stayed, was famed as Europe’s most bombed hotel, earning the moniker “the Hardboard Hotel”.
However, the last Provisional IRA bomb to damage the Europa was detonated in 1993, two years before President Clinton and his wife checked in for the night.
The last time the Europa underwent renovations because of bomb blast damage was in January 1994, 22 months before the presidential entourage booked 110 rooms at the hotel.
Mrs Clinton told assembled politicians at Stormont: “When Bill and I first came to Belfast we stayed at the Europa Hotel… even though then there were sections boarded up because of damage from bombs.”
Obamacare May Be Unconstitutional – News Max
President Obama’s healthcare proposals face serious legal problems and scholars expect at least some provisions will be ruled unconstitutional.
The legal vulnerability of Obamacare – assuming some version of healthcare reform is passed – stems from the unprecedented powers it grants the federal government.
Constitutional challenges could arise on several fronts: the government’s power to regulate interstate commerce; privacy concerns related to doctor-patient interactions that have their origins in Roe v. Wade; constitutional restrictions on the federal government’s authority to levy taxes; and the plan’s numerous clauses promoting racial preferences.
Andrew P. Napolitano, the former New Jersey Superior Court judge and senior judicial analyst at the Fox News Channel, calls Obamacare “unconstitutional at its core.”
Hans Bader, senior counsel for special projects at the Competitive Enterprise Institute think tank, tells Newsmax it is probable that at least some provisions in the evolving legislation will eventually be nixed.
Bader adds courts could also invalidate the entire bill.
GOP Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, recently echoed Bader’s concerns with NewsmaxTV, saying in an exclusive interview that reform marks “the first time in the 225-year history of our country” that the federal government has ordered its citizens to make a purchase – in this case, healthcare coverage under the individual mandate. Citizens who opt not to obtain coverage face tax penalties.
Grassley adds, “I don’t think we’ve ever had this issue before of having to buy something. And a lot of constitutional lawyers are saying it is unconstitutional, or at least a violation of the 10th Amendment. Maybe states can do this – but can the federal government do it? I have my doubts.”
Writing in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Napolitano stated, “What we have here is raw abuse of power by the federal government for political purposes. The president and his colleagues want to reward their supporters with ‘free’ healthcare that the rest of us will end up paying for. The only restraint on their exercise of Commerce Clause power is whatever they can get away with. They aren’t upholding the Constitution – they are evading it.”

Remember when you were a kid and finding out you had a snow day was the best news you could get? When you gathered with all of your friends at the nearest hill for sledding and snowball fights and basically all the fun you could have?
Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans was something like that for the New England Patriots.
The offense racked up over 600 total yards, the defense forced five turnovers, and the Pats basically did what they wanted in a 59-0 pasting of the pitiful Titans under a steady snowfall.
“It was a really fun day to be out there,” Tom Brady said.
In all, the Patriots broke or tied 10 team records in the game, including points scored, margin of victory, most points in a half (45), most points in a quarter (35 in the second), and total net yards (619).
The win ties the mark for the largest shutout victory and largest margin of victory since the AFL-NFL merger; on Dec. 4, 1976, the Los Angeles Rams beat Atlanta by the same 59-0 score.
Tennessee came into the game without a win in its first five games, but both Bill Belichick and the New England players insisted all week that its opponent wasn’t nearly as bad as their record would indicate.
While that may be true, on Sunday afternoon they were terrible.
The earliest moments of the game did not foretell a blowout: the Titans went three-and-out on their first drive, but New England missed its first chance to get on the scoreboard when Stephen Gostkowski pushed a 39-yard field goal attempt wide right.
It wasn’t long after that, however, that things began getting out of hand.
Dead Man Slumped On Balcony Mistaken For Halloween Decoration – Los Angeles Times
A 75-year-old dead man sat decomposing on his Marina del Rey balcony for days because neighbors thought the body was part of a Halloween display and didn’t call police.
Mostafa Mahmoud Zayed had apparently been dead since Monday with a single gunshot wound to one eye. He was slumped over a chair on the third-floor balcony of his apartment on Bora Bora Way, said cameraman Austin Raishbrook, who owns RMG News and was on scene Thursday when authorities found the body.
Neighbors on the 13900 block of Bora Bora Way told Raishbrook that they noticed the body Monday “but didn’t bother calling authorities because it looked like a Halloween dummy,” he said.
“The body was in plain view of the entire apartment complex [and] they all didn’t do anything,” Raishbrook said. “It’s very strange. It did look unreal, to be honest.”
Hell’s Kitchen! Angry Chef Pulls Gun On Waitresses – NBC
You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet, but one chef decided he would crack a few skulls if he had to make one more dish of mozzarella Caprese.
Chef Mark DeCraepeo was arrested Wednesday night after he pulled a gun on two waitresses at his restaurant because he was tired of seeing orders for the appetizer, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
“If you hang one more f—- ticket for mozzarella Caprese, I swear to God I’ll shoot you in the forehead,” witnesses at Pizza Time said he shouted.
Usually, if you are getting a lot of orders for a dish, that’s a compliment to the chef. Not to DeCraepeo.
To make sure his threat was heeded, the chef and manager slammed his pistol on the counter.
“Now you see I’m f—– serious, I’ll put a bullet right in your forehead,” he shouted, the police report said.
The waitresses later filed a complaint with police and now the angry chef is in jail facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges.

Grass-roots social conservatives are battling radical abortion and gay marriage policies. You have been asking movement conservatives to give you money to fight the ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, tax-and-spend, radical Democrats. Then you use their money to try and elect Dede Scozzafava, an ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, tax-and-spend radical Republican. And you use that money to fight Doug Hoffman, a viable, bona fide conservative candidate in the race who is closing the gap in the polls.
Watch your campaign coffers dry up, NRCC.

Just wrung out after watching my Gators beat a very tough Arkansas team. We made too many mistakes, and let them hang around. That has to change. Our defense was great, save for one fluky TD, and our offense is coming around. Just have to CASH in those drives boys.
All in all though, it is far better to win a game where you are off your game than to lose it.
Barack Obama’s Anti-Semitic Website – Big Government
During the 2008 presidential election, Barack Obama’s website, Organizing for America – over which Obama has editorial control – played host to a series of vile anti-American, Jew-hating posts and pieces. It was overwhelming. There were numerous, heinous calls for Jewish genocide and incitement to hatred. And it is happening again, right now, on the official website of the man who is supposedly the leader of the free world.
The site was and is closely policed. The site moderators remove material that they consider to be “disrespectful to our other users” and to “detract from a welcoming community where all people can engage in positive discourse.” What they find disrespectful can be interesting: once during the campaign a conservative blogger, Bill Levinson, posted a blog on Obama’s website consisting entirely of a series of quotations from Obama’s own book, Dreams of my Father. Obama’s team did not approve of their standard-bearer’s words, and so Levinson’s blog and account were deleted from the Obama site in just under 36 hours. That’s right, Barack Obama’s website banned Obama’s own words. But the most disgusting anti-semitic ravings remained on the site, along with blogs advocating anarchy and the overthrow of the United States Congress.
In April 2008 a typical post appeared, claiming that “Jews owe Africa and Africans everything they have today because if Africa did not shelter them when they were homeless and starving, they would not be here today.” And in July 2008, a piece called “They fear peace” by Kate Smythe-Blake went up on Obama’s site. “The kike filth,” Smythe-Blake ranted, “are trying to steal this election from us. But this is our time. The kike live in fear of peace. They fear happiness. The thought of people living happily in peace without killing each other frightens the horde of kike that runs our government. But when pieces of kike use their kike manipulation tactics to stop Barack, it is time to strike back. There is nothing a kike army can do when faced with progressive people who are determined to achieve peace. We will achieve lasting peace.”
When such things went up on Obama’s website (and often stayed there for long periods), the Jewish lay leadership in this country said nothing, did nothing, and supported this man. Now he is President of the United States, and there is even more ugly Jew hatred and incitement to kill Jews on Obama’s website. It harks back to the Jewish blood libels. Obama’s website has become a hub for Islamic antisemitism.
On October 5, a post went up on Obama’s website entitled “Nazi Israel … Indeed.” It quoted a Princeton professor, Richard Falk, referring to Israel’s “war crimes”, “genocidal tendencies”, “holocaust implications”, and “holocaust-in-the-making.” It spoke about Israel’s “Nazi-like crimes and human rights violation.” It claimed: “Comparing the present-day Israel with Nazi Germany one discovers that the majority of the Israeli policies are the exact copies of the Nazi policies. Nazi Germany had invaded its European neighbors extending from England to Russia. Israel had also invaded all its neighboring countries; Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. It is also heavily involved in the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. Its tentacles had also reached African countries as far as South Africa, Somalia, Sudan, Angola, and Sierra Leone.”
Continuing the lies and blood libels, the post claims: “Worse than the Nazis Israeli forces used to invade peaceful Palestinian towns, execute men, women and children in cold blood everywhere and anywhere they encounter them, dynamite their homes on top of their residents, and finally demolish the whole town making room for new Israeli colonies.” It charges that Israel pursued “a pre-meditated genocidal plan” against the Palestinian Arabs.
Suffice to say that this entry passed muster with Obama’s moderators and is clearly acceptable to Obama for America.
Why hasn’t Obama stopped the terrible hate speech he was hosting on his site? This has been going on for well over a year. And it continues. He knows the anti-semites post these blood libels on his website. So why does he retain the platform as President of the United States? It’s evil. Why does he encourage it with his silence? Is Obama an anti-semite? By his fruits we shall know him, and so we know him
Tea Party Patriots Unite! Go To A Screening Of “Not Evil Just Wrong” On Sunday!
‘Tea Party’ Protesters To Attend Film Screening Sunday – Pilot Online
Irish filmmaker Phelim McAleer couldn’t get Hollywood interested in his conservative answer to Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth,” so he’s trying to promote it a different way – by getting tea party protesters to turn out for thousands of screenings across the country Sunday night.
McAleer is billing the multicity premiere of “Not Evil Just Wrong” as the world’s largest simultaneous film viewing, and he says the “cinematic wing of the tea party movement” is just the ticket for making it work.
“This is tailored-made for the tea party movement,” says McAleer. “A small tea party is like a small theater.”
To promote the film, McAleer dialed in to Wednesday’s weekly conference call for 150 tea party leaders in California. Dawn Wildman, co-coordinator of the California Tea Party Patriots, said the reaction was tremendous.
“I think it is a marvelous idea, in the sense you are actually bringing it to the people,” Wildman said.
In San Diego, Wildman is expecting about 150 people to show up at a veterans’ museum to watch the film. In Newport Beach, she said, a group of 100 is expected to watch the film at a restaurant. And organizers in Bakersfield are planning on showing the movie three separate times.
While Tea Party protests have so far focused more on government spending than environmental issues like global warming or the cap-and-trade bill working through Congress, tea party leaders say it’s time for the movement to branch out.
