Before we get to his other multiple fluffs and diplomatic errors, let’s explain what Obama was telling the Japanese people with his absurdly low bow. The sort of bow that Obama made is almost that of a “dogeza” bow. This is a sort of bow that is so low as to be considered a prostrated position. It is seen as an apology, a supplication, not a sign of respect.
The smartest guy in the room huh? Sure, if he is alone. And how about the Liberals fixation on how the rest of the world sees us? How is that working out?

A hero passes

COL (USA, Ret) Lewis L. Millet, Medal of Honor, passed on November 14th, 2009. COL Millet, as a Captain, was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions on February 7, 1951 in Korea:
Capt. Millett, Company E, distinguished himself by conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty in action. While personally leading his company in an attack against a strongly held position he noted that the 1st Platoon was pinned down by small-arms, automatic, and antitank fire. Capt. Millett ordered the 3d Platoon forward, placed himself at the head of the 2 platoons, and, with fixed bayonet, led the assault up the fire-swept hill. In the fierce charge Capt. Millett bayoneted 2 enemy soldiers and boldly continued on, throwing grenades, clubbing and bayoneting the enemy, while urging his men forward by shouting encouragement. Despite vicious opposing fire, the whirlwind hand-to-hand assault carried to the crest of the hill. His dauntless leadership and personal courage so inspired his men that they stormed into the hostile position and used their bayonets with such lethal effect that the enemy fled in wild disorder. During this fierce onslaught Capt. Millett was wounded by grenade fragments but refused evacuation until the objective was taken and firmly secured. The superb leadership, conspicuous courage, and consummate devotion to duty demonstrated by Capt. Millett were directly responsible for the successful accomplishment of a hazardous mission and reflect the highest credit on himself and the heroic traditions of the military service.
Power to the People? Really?
Democrats love to tell us that they are on the side of the working man, and they they are the party of the common folk. It is the Left who always shouts “power to the people!” If all of that rhetoric is accurate then explain why the Democrats are trying to shove a health care bill on us when 56% of the people oppose it.
Fifty-six percent (56%) now oppose President Obama and the Democrats health care reform bills. Thirty-eight percent approve of the legislation. This is the lowest support Rasmussen has recorded for Obamacare. Half of the polling was completed after the Senate vote. The support for health care reform was lower in that sample.
Just 38% of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% now oppose the plan.
Half the survey was conducted before the Senate voted late Saturday to begin debate on its version of the legislation. Support for the plan was slightly lower in the half of the survey conducted after the Senate vote.
Lower and lower all the time. In fact the more the people know, the less they like it! So, the next time a Democrat tells you that they are fighting for you………..

Well, because of asininty such as criticizing Sarah Palin supporters because too many of them are White! YES! White is BAD, according to MSNBS talking head Chris “Crazy Legs” Matthews
Much like mainstream media coverage of this year’s Tea Parties, Matthews and “Hardball” guests Norah O’Donnell and Salon’s Joan Walsh made an issue of how “white” the crowd was at a Palin book signing event in Michigan.
“This is a largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd,” reported MSNBC’s O’Donnell live from the scene.
Matthews reiterated, “Well, they look like a white crowd to me,” later claiming, “I think there is a tribal aspect to this thing, in other words, white vs. other people.”
Walsh added, “I think you`ve got that same kind of paranoid tea party, maybe even birther crowd that talks about the Constitution, without really understanding what they are talking about”
Sooo, White is bad now? White people are bad? Racist? Ignorant? According to Matthews and his fellow “journalists” yes. But, what is odd is this. Lookie what Michelle Malkin has on her blog.

What CAN Congress Do?
My newest column is up at What Would the Founding Fathers Do? Please link to it, spread it around, and please add YOUR voices, and those of our Founders to it! This is a struggle we MUST win. Here it is!
The most crucial focus of this debate should be simple. Is it constitutional? Yes, it is important to debate the impact on our economy, and our taxes, and on private insurance options. Will it lead to rationing? Will it deny care based on bureaucratic decision makers? Will it increase costs, waiting times, quality of care, etc. I would argue that this bill is disastrous on all of those fronts.
The main thing, though, is that we ought to demand that the Senate examine the constitutionality of such a bill BEFORE anything else. The Founders wrote our Constitution to set barriers that would prevent government from growing too large, and becoming a master of the people, rather than their servant.
I would argue that we are, as a nation, in deep peril because that founding set of rules, the Constitution, is being largely ignored by the Congress. They have forgotten it is there apparently. Certainly, if we are to endure as a nation that honors and protects the liberties our Founders knew we were endowed with, then we must insist that Congress obeys the Constitution. Without the Constitution, we are without hope. If the boundaries our Founders set for governmental power are not respected and followed then each of our liberties will, sooner or later, be sacrificed upon the altar of Statism.
So, what powers does the Constitution grant to Congress? Here is Article I Section 8 of our Constitution.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
Now, I am sure that Reid and his ilk would tell us that the “general welfare” would include this health care bill. But, what would the Father of the Constitution say? Here are some words from James Madison, whom I dare say knows more about the Constitution than Reid.
With respect to the words general welfare, I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.
Section 8 of our Constitution lists the various powers of Congress, you may read them at the link, and no, Senator Reid, there is no grounds for the action you are seeking to force upon our nation.
Our Founders were very careful to constrain, through the Constitution, the powers of government, they knew how quickly government would, if left unchecked, devour our natural rights. George Washington spoke of the danger of uncontrolled centralized power
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.
Washington also made clear where the power should lie.
The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the republican model of government, are justly considered deeply, perhaps as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.
Thus it is our scared duty to ensure that Congress obeys the Constituition. If we fail, then our country will fail. Congress though, as well as our president, seems to have forgotten Washington’s words. They have embarked on a course to secure all the power in their hands rather than in ours. They have forgotten where the source of our liberty lies. Consider Ben Franklin’s words.
Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and nature
Hmmm, no mention of Congress, or the president there at all is there? Franklin was indeed a wise man. He not only knew the source of liberty, but the dangers of forgetting that source. Jefferson also was a wise man, he understood what could happen should government be unleashed from its constitutional restraints..
We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds…[we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers… And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for[ another]… till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery… And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.
When we consider the multitude of new taxes and bureaucracies in the health care bill, we best heed Jefferson’s warnings. And we must force our government to heed them as well. Liberty and governmetal power are in a constant struggle, let us resolve to ensure liberty prevails.
Another woman who does not know her place gets a dose of Liberal tolerance
Richard McEnroe posted a video the other day of a teenage girl, being interviewed, ambushed, by MSNBS reporter Norah O’Donell while she was at a book signing for Sarah Palin’s new book, Going Rogue.
The girl, Jackie Seal, handled herself very well, and showed herself to be more knowlegeable of the Constitution than Norah O’Donell is. Now, Robert Stacy McCain has found out that Jackie is one of his Twitter buddies, and that she has hew own blog as well. I am adding Jackie to my blogroll after I post this by the way.
McCain found out one other thing. It did not take the “tolerant Left” long too start attacking Jackie for thinking things that are not pre-approved by them.
Oh, yeah, and “progressive” blog-trolls hate her. It’s only a matter of time before she’s denounced by Rachel Maddow. She may even make Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person In The World” list, which is every young conservative’s life-goal nowadays.
Sad, but, sadly, not surprising at all. Jackie, like Palin, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Hannah Giles, and other Conservative women, are not welcomed by the Left. Their perverse and backasswards definition of inclusion and tolerance do not extend to women who think outside the Leftist box.
All I can say is this Jackie. Wear their abuse as a badge of honor! If these miscreants are attacking you, you MUST be doing something right!

Whistleblower Video Reveals SEIU Ballot Fraud – Big Government
Earlier this week, we brought you the story of SEIU’s alleged ballot fraud during a union election in Fresno, CA. SEIU’s fraud wasn’t against political opponents or some evil capitalist. No, SEIU’s fraud was against a brother/sister labor union.
SEIU has been engaged in a fire-fight with the National Union of Health Workers. For SEIU, it isn’t enough that workers are unionized, but they must be unionized AND their dues flow into the purple political machine. The video features SEIU official David Regan, who ran the union’s voting campaign. Keep in mind, again, the “opponents” he mentions aren’t Republicans or businesses, but another labor union.
We hold out no hope that federal labor officials will seriously investigate SEIU’s fraud. Its President, Andy Stern, is, after all, America’s most frequent White House guest.
Still, that doesn’t mean the public shouldn’t be informed of SEIU’s actions. We have a treasure trove of information on SEIU’s fight with its fellow union. It is a story that will unfold here over the coming weeks.
