Obama may hold off on health care until February?

Another Black Conservative has the story, via Politico

Politico is reporting that the White House is pushing health care off until after the State of the Union, sometime in February and will make a “very hard pivot” towards jobs instead.  This can only mean that Nancy is having trouble getting her House members to swallow the senate version of the bill.  Why else put off health care?

The public anger is growing by the day. More and more people are learning about the backroom deals and nasty provisions in Reid’s bill. Even people on the left are growing angry. Hmmm, could it be that Obama is trying to ease public concerns? Ease off the gas pedal a bit, move this c0ntentious issue to a back burner? It seems that Reid, Pelosi and the rest are chomping at the bit to ram this through. So, if this does get delayed, perhaps Obama is looking at this politically, and not just ideogically. The Right and the Left increasinlgly hates this bill, and no doubt the Democrats must, at some point, start thinking about keeping control of Congress and re-electing Obama in 2012.

Maybe he is willing to delay passage to score political points? Maybe those plunging approval numbers are driving such a strategic move. Maybe the thought of political suicide is scaring him? That is IF, of course, such a delay is on his mind at all.
