I wonder how long I will have to wait to see………….
The media jump all over THESE threatening calls to Republican Congressmen?
Republican Congresswoman Jean Schmidt is receiving threatening calls over her health care position. Republicans John Boehner and Mitch McConnell were also mentioned in the message.
The Hill reported:U.S. Capitol Police are investigating a threatening voicemail left in the office of Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio), her chief of staff said Thursday.
Schmidt’s office was left a voicemail late Wednesday night in what appears to be the first instance of a Republican lawmaker being targeted for their healthcare vote.
The voicemail features a caller who talks of wishing the congresswoman had broken her back in a 2008, according to a recording send to the media by Schmidt’s chief of staff, Barry Bennett.
The voicemail makes reference to Schmidt, as well as Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House GOP Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), calling them and the Republican Party racist.
I just know that MSNBS, and CNN, and the rest will be featuring stories on these threats very soon.
UPDATE!! JWF has more on the message to Schmidt
Here’s a transcript of the message left for Rep. Schmidt.
Yes, uh. Yeah, I’m glad, uh. the president passed healthcare, yeah. Funky-ass, racist-ass Republicans hate that, don’t you? Jean [sic] Smith, when you got hit by that car or when you fell or whatever, you should’ve broke your back, b***h. You, and Boehner motherf***er, that Mitch McConnell — all you racist f***ing Republicans. Why don’t you just change y’all’s party name to “racist”? ‘Cause if one of those little f***ing Teabaggers would’ve spit on me, I would have socked them in the f***ing face with my f***ing .09 mm. F*** all you racist motherf***ers.
Ya know, that tone sounds VERY familiar, Rahmbo? Is that you?
JWF also noted earlier this month that Jim Bunning had received threats too
Also, Eric Cantor has had someone take some shots at his campaign office
Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor said Thursday that his Richmond campaign office has been shot at and that he’s received “threatening e-mails” — but at the same time the House minority whip accused top Democrats of trying to exploit the threats they’ve been receiving for “political gain.”
Cantor said “a bullet was shot through the window” of his campaign office. The incident happened Monday, Fox News has learned, the latest in a rash of apparent threats and acts of intimidation against members of Congress. Most of the threats so far have been reported by Democrats, but Cantor — the No. 2 Republican in the House — is one of about 10 lawmakers who has asked for increased security protection, Fox News has learned.
I am sure Keith Olbermann will be condemning these very soon.
Isn’t comparing Bart Stupak to cheap crack whores a bit over the top?
Bob Belvedere has been taking great pleasure in comparing Bart Stupak to a cheap crack whore ever since he sold his vote on ObamaCare. Iwonder if that might be just a tad insensitive. I mean do cheap crack whores REALLY deserve to be compared to Stupak? Shouldn’t they be offended at being lumped in the same category as a Stupak?
Approval rating for ObamaCare high, among Marxist dictators
What is a SURE sign that your president’s policies are decidedly Leftist? Marxists praising them! Castro loves him some ObamaCare!
It perhaps was not the endorsement President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress were looking for. Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.
“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,” Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and “mercenaries.”
But the Cuban leader also used the lengthy piece to criticize the American president for his lack of leadership on climate change and immigration reform, and for his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, among many other things.
In other words Fidel loves the Marxism Obama HAS implemented, but wishes he would hurry up and dig America deeper into a Marxist cesspool. Let us hope Castro never starts praising Obama’s policies on dissenting Americans though, that would be, well, bad for a lot of us bloggers.
Daily Benefactor News – Top Story – Coward Russ Carnahan Pushes Bogus Tea Party Lie To Media – More

——————————————— TOP STORY ———————————————
Remember as you read this: There is nothing the democratic-media complex will not do to lie about the tea party patriots or to prop up these horrid leftists who are transforming our country into some kind of quasi-socialist state.
On Sunday night several members of the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition held a prayer vigil at Russ Carnahan’s office for the millions of babies that will be slaughtered under the democrat’s pro-abortion health care bill. We also prayed for the handicapped and the elderly who will be turned away as they face the death panels created by this bill. And, as we stood outside his office in the rain, we prayed for our country and for the democrats in Washington DC who were stealing away our freedom at that very moment.
We brought a coffin with us to represent the millions of Americans who will suffer from inadequate treatment and perish under Obamacare.
Local reporters from KSDK News Channel 5 showed up to interview myself and others after our prayer service.

KSDK put together this report on our peaceful protest:
In St. Louis, people on both sides of the issue gathered to watch the vote. Those in favor of healthcare reform came to celebrate, those opposed came to mourn.
For the Tea Party protesters, it was a somber night. Jim Hoft says, “We’re sad about what s going on tonight in Washington D.C.”
And so complete with candles and casket, they held a funeral, grieving over the heathcare changes to come.
Hoft says, “We believe they’re taking away our freedom and this represents death to part of what we’ve grown up with.”
And the tears here were very real. Cynthia Rice says, “It’ll change everything for us.”
After our prayer service we took our coffin and went and prayed on the sidewalk outside of Russ Carnahan’s home.
We prayed for Russ Carnahan. We prayed that God would forgive him for taking away our freedom. We prayed for the babies who will never feel the warmth of the sun or a gentle spring rain. We prayed for the elderly who will die waiting for care because they couldn’t make it past the Obama death panels.

DEMS REJECT AMENDMENT TO BAN VIAGRA FOR SEX OFFENDERS – POLITICO
Democrats killed an amendment by Republican Sen. Tom Coburn to prevent the newly created insurance exchanges from using federal money to cover Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for rapists, pedophiles and other sex offenders. The amendment failed 57-42.
“The vast majority of Americans don’t want their taxpayer dollars paying for this kind of drug for those kind of people,” Coburn said.

CASTRO: OBAMACARE PASSAGE IS “A MIRACLE” – TOWNHALL
President Obama’s health care overhaul plan may be unpopular with the American people, but he can rest assured that Fidel Castro is still a big fan.
Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.

Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight committee, told CBS News Wednesday that he will call for a special prosecutor to investigate the White House if it does not address Rep. Joe Sestak’s claim that he was offered a federal job in exchange for dropping out of the Pennsylvania Senate primary.
“If the public doesn’t receive a satisfactory answer, the next step would be to call for a special prosecutor, which is well within the statute,” Issa told Hotsheet.

JUDGE STRIKES DOWN ORDINANCE BANNING ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM RENTING APARTMENTS – KXAS
A federal judge has ruled that a Farmers Branch ordinance banning illegal immigrants from renting apartments is unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle of Dallas ruled Wednesday that the ordinance was an attempt to enforce U.S. immigration laws, something only the federal government can do.

PRAYING IN PARK PUTS MAN IN JAIL FOR 9 DAYS – WORLDNETDAILY
A Christian who prayed in a public park with six other people is serving a nine-day jail sentence for disorderly conduct even though his case is under appeal and charges against the others were dismissed or overturned.
Julian Raven of Elmira, N.Y., said he was “surprised by police at his office,” handcuffed and taken into custody this week, according to the Alliance Defense Fund, which is defending Raven.

TRANSPORTATION SEC: NEW POLICIES TO ‘COERCE PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR CARS’ – DAKOTA VOICE
President Barack Obama and his politbureau of central planners are up to it again. They are busy working on that vision of “remaking America” into his vision of a glorious socialist utopia.
This time it’s coming from Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and his asinine announcement that transportation policy will no longer favor “motorized” transportation.
Something to make you think
Near as I can figure it, the Democrat Party is actively working to destroy the American civil society. It appears to serve the interests of only the union bosses, the trial lawyers, government bureaucrats, illegal immigrants and felons. In other words, the dregs of society.the President’s bizarre remarks last year regarding internal national security?
And, in the context of recent events, is it worth reconsidering
America must balance and integrate all elements of our national power. We can not continue to push the burden onto our military alone, or leave dormant any aspect of the arsenal of American capability. That’s why my administration is committed to renewing diplomacy as a tool of American power and developing our civilian national security capabilities.
This was not the first time Obama expressed a desire for a powerful internal national security force. As a candidate in July 2008, Obama first enunciated the need.
In Barack Obama’s July 2, 2008 speech calling America to national service, Obama proposed “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as our military… This has prompted some in the blogosphere to raise the specter of a huge new domestic paramilitary organization. Others suggest that he may have been talking about our “current non-military security agencies…
He said: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
How power-hungry are the Democrats? Think about it, November 2010 might be, as a truly brilliant man points out, the point of no return
With the passage of the legislation allowing the federal government to take control of the medical care system of the United States, a major turning point has been reached in the dismantling of the values and institutions of America.
Even the massive transfer of crucial decisions from millions of doctors and patients to Washington bureaucrats and advisory panels– as momentous as that is– does not measure the full impact of this largely unread and certainly unscrutinized legislation.
If the current legislation does not entail the transmission of all our individual medical records to Washington, it will take only an administrative regulation or, at most, an Executive Order of the President, to do that.
With politicians now having not only access to our most confidential records, and having the power of granting or withholding medical care needed to sustain ourselves or our loved ones, how many people will be bold enough to criticize our public servants, who will in fact have become our public masters?
Extremely frightening stuff to contemplate isn’t it?
How lame is Stupak?
Da Tech Guy points out that Stupak is sooooooooooooo lame that even Kathleen Parker can see through him. Now THAT, my friends is lame!
Q: How transparent was the betrayal of the pro life cause by Bart “I’m a faithful Catholic, Really!” Stupak?
When Kathleen Parker isn’t willing to spin for you the game is over:
Stupak, too, knew that the executive order was merely political cover for him and his pro-life colleagues. He knew it because several members of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops explained it to him, according to sources. The only way to prevent public funding for abortion was for his amendment to be added to the Senate bill.
Clearly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the president didn’t want that. What they did want was the abortion funding that the Senate bill allowed.
Thus, the health care bill passed because of a mutually understood deception — a pretense masquerading as virtue. No wonder Stupak locked his doors and turned off his phones Sunday, according to several pro-life lobbyists who camped outside his office.
Quick. hide Carol’s baseball bat
I have always found Carol, of the Closet to be a gentle woman, not prone to violence at all. But, apparently Rino-like behavior is starting to grate on her last nerve.
In the last few weeks the Republicans in the House have made me proud to be a Republican again. Because of their actions I am re-energized, re-focused and ready to fight. Then I see this at RedState:
Senate GOP Trying To Scuttle “Repeal It” Amendment
Senate sources confirm to me this evening that Senator Mitch McConnell and his leadership team are trying to scuttle Republican efforts to force a vote on repeal of the entire health care legislation during the reconciliation process. I’m told reliably that moderate Republican senators who voted against Obamacare in December do not want to vote against it again because it would just be “symbolic”. McConnell agrees and is not inclined to push Republicans to go along with any effort to force a vote on repeal during reconciliation, despite David Vitter offering up an amendment to do just that and separate stand alone legislation being offered by Senator Jim DeMint with a host of Republican co-sponsors.
It makes me want to walk up to McConnell and palm-smack him right in the forehead. And don’t even get me started on Chuckles Grassley. What planet have these dolts been parked on lately? On top of everything else, Sen. Lindsay Graham is still working on a wildly unpopular immigration bill that could make millions of illegals eligible for ObamaCare.
If there is one thing the rank and file American is tired of, it is the scripted, politics as usual crap that seems to flow out of the mouths of politicians on both sides. An increasing number of us want HONESTY! We desire a genuine dialogue, not the same old worn out BS! The House Republicans gave us that, and dammit the Republican Party ought to realize that sticking to principles should be their strategy.
No, I am no political strategist, or policy wonk, I am not a talking head either! Neither is Bob or Carol. Maybe that is why we see this so clearly. We think, not as spin doctors think, instead we think about right, wrong, and are, unlike too many Republicans, confident that our message IS right, and WILL win, if it just delivered.
Still waiting………..
I am still waiting anyone to offer proof that protsters yelled racist words at, or spat upon Black Congressmen at Saturday’s Kill the Bill protest. Clifton is waiting as well
Unfortunately last Saturday I was unable to blog about the big Kill The Bill protest. I was particularly sorry I did not blog about those Congressional Black Caucus members with their stories about racial slurs and being spat upon. When first heard about it, I kind of suspected that this was another incident of the Raaaaacism Industrial Complex at work, because things weren’t adding up.
First we have Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Missouri) claiming a Tea Party protester spat upon him. Cleaver said he would not press charges. But how does someone press charges when Capitol Police say no one was arrested? Then we have George Lewis (D-Georgia) claiming that Tea Party protesters were dropping the N-Bomb big time on him and several other CBC members. From McClatchy News:
The protesters also shouted obscenities at other members of the Congressional Black Caucus , lawmakers said.
“They were shouting, sort of harassing,” Lewis said. “But, it’s okay, I’ve faced this before. It reminded me of the 60s. It was a lot of downright hate and anger and people being downright mean.”
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver , D- Mo. , said he was a few yards behind Lewis and distinctly heard “nigger.”
“It was a chorus,” Cleaver said. “In a way, I feel sorry for those people who are doing this nasty stuff – they’re being whipped up. I decided I wouldn’t be angry with any of them.”
However there are these short video clips showing the CBC members as they walked past the protesters with no racial slurs to be heard. Instead we hear “boos” and “kill the bill”.
Hmm, cameras everywhere, and yet, no evidence. Odd don’t ya think?
Yet another Nanny Stater trying to micromanage your life
Carol has another example of how far some are willing to go to regulate everything in our lives.
But in the land of the perpetual nanny state, California, one lawmaker no longer trusts parents to supervise their own children’s meals:
In an effort to combat the nation’s epidemic of childhood obesity, Supervisor Yeager is proposing Santa Clara County create an ordinance regulating fast food restaurants’ ability to offer toys or other incentives with kids’ meals.
“Ten out of 12 meals that are associated with the promotional toys are the high-caloric, high-fat, high-sodium meals,” said Yeager.
You don’t need parenting classes, or the government, to know that a steady diet of fast food isn’t the best choice for children. You don’t have to be a genius to know that children ask for the fast food meal because of the toy. However, children are not in charge of what the family eats, and if they are, the family has bigger problems than food issues.
They just are going to keep going until we cannot take a piss without some government Nanny Stater regulating it.
Another stupid law to “save the children”
Chris looks at a new law that will do absolutely nothing of any value.
Starting May 1st (how appropriate, “May Day”) the NJ Nanny State will require every vehicle driven by a person under age 21 to display a big bright red sticker.
The Motor Vehicle Commission is unveiling red decals that motorists under the age of 21 must display on their license plates. The reflective red stickers will help police identify drivers in order to enforce restrictions on passenger limits and 11 p.m. curfews.
This new law will not only do anything to save any teen, but, as Chris points out, will likely help bad guys.
A big red reflective sticker which says “I’m under 21 and I’m alone”. Yes folks, two other new laws championed by this meddlesome mother restrict under 21 drivers to one passenger and prohibit them from having a cell phone while driving.
She may as well just give out the names and addresses of every teenager in the state to all the perverts, criminals, and gang-bangers. It’ll save them the trouble of running the Scarlet Letter cars off the road first before they take advantage of a defenseless teen.
The Nanny State. Taking away your freedom, and now endangering your children’s lives under the guise of “protecting” them.
This is what happens when knee-jerk reations to a tragedy, become law. No matter how well-intended such laws may be, often times, the unitended consequences end up being as bad, or worse than the “tragedy” the law makers were trying to fix. Face it, there are simply some problems that government cannot fix.
Wow! ObamaCare already killing people
What do we expect when we allow a moron who has wrecked everything he has touched to handle health care? Public Secrets has the first casualty
Kiss off 1600 jobs, thanks to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:
The people at Zoll Medical Corporation saw a ray of hope in January when Scott Brown was elected senator from Massachusetts. Located in Chelmsford, 30 miles outside Boston, Zoll is the nation’s leading manufacturer of heart defibrillators, which save thousands of heart attack victims each year. Back in January, as the Senate race was raging, both House and Senate Democrats wanted to impose a crippling new tax on the makers of medical devices, Zoll included, to help pay for Obamacare.
The total tax on the industry would be about $2 billion a year, or $20 billion over the next decade. Companies watched nervously as lawmakers pushed ahead, first the House and then the Senate. But then Brown was elected on the promise to be the crucial Republican vote to stop health care reform. For Zoll, things were looking up.
Not anymore. The bill passed by the House Sunday night contains a particularly damaging version of the $20 billion hit for the medical device industry, meaning Zoll and other medical device makers could well be headed for hard times.
“We believe that the tax will cost us somewhere between $5 million and $10 million a year,” says Richard Packer, Zoll’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Our profit in 2009 was $9.5 million.”
That would be a devastating blow. Zoll employs about 1,800 people. Roughly 1,600 of them are in the United States, and about 650 of those are in Massachusetts. Once the new tax kicks in, that could all change. “We can’t run this company at a break-even or a negative rate,” says Packer, “so we will be forced to look at alternatives.”
You CANNOT place huge taxes, fees, and penalties on businesses without DIRECTLY harming workers and the economy. Good Freaking Grief a third-grader knows more about economics than the Obamassiah, Speaker Face Lift and Senator Weasel Dick Reid seems to.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Steny Hoyer
My Daley Douchebag, AND Marxist Moron Award winner is Steny Hoyer. Dan Riehl explains why in classic style.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer denounced House Republicans Tuesday for their behavior on the House floor and for inciting protestors outside the U.S. Capitol during the health care debate this weekend. “Members of Congress ought not to act like some people acted in town meetings,” Hoyer told reporters.
Members of Congress ought not act like tyrants. But you did. Now, deal with the consequences, fool.
What arrogance it takes for this prick to question the behavior of anyone, much less patriots. Hoyer took part in screwing over the American people, and now he not only has the unmitigated gall to revel in his deplorable disrespect for the Constitution, but he dares to spit, once more on the people he is supposed to represent?
Mr. Hoyer, you are not fit to serve. You are, as Riehl says, nothing but a thug. You have no honor, no sense of duty, and are a pall upon this nation. And soon, as in November soon, you will be out of the PEOPLE’S House.
Outbreak of Offendeditis strikes breasts in Poland
Wyatt has the story. Read it and ask yourself why “feminuts” are all so pissy and hate anything fun.
Polish feminists are slamming a breast cancer slogan, calling it sexist and inappropriate. Who knew Poland had Feminazis?
WARSAW – Polish feminists have objected to a hospital’s breast cancer prevention slogan which they say encourages workplace harassment, the Gazeta Wyborcza daily said on its website on Monday.
The slogan “I check the breasts of my workers on my own” was devised by a cancer hospital in the southern town of Opole and aimed at convincing employers to encourage their female workers to have their breasts checked regularly for cancer symptoms.
“This is a sexist slogan that obviously brings sexual molestation to mind,” the head of the Feminoteka foundation, Joanna Piotrowska, was quoted on the website as saying.
“This campaign treats women as objects and is not far removed from advertisements in which girls flaunt their breasts over car bonnets. I wonder if this would be equally funny if it were changed to ‘I check the penises of my workers on my own’.”
Actually, yes it would, and men would love the idea frankly. Unless a Feminut tried grabbing us, That might frighten our “little friend” into impotence.
Add your signature to ObamaCare
Russ has a great idea
Today, President Obama signed comprehensive health care reform into law. Supporters now have a chance to add our names as “Co-signers” of this historic legislation — adding our names next to President Obama’s to show our pride in helping bring about this great achievement.
Organizing for America will establish a permanent archive with all the signatures, so that generations to come will have a record of those who stood together in this moment and won this fight for our future.
Now what would YOU like to sign? Russ suggests “No Thanks”, or how about “Hell No!” Get creative
13 AG’s file suit against ObamaCare
Mike has the details. My friends, please pray that these suits bear some fruit.
Thirteen state attorneys general have joined the legal challenge to the landmark health care reform legislation that President Barack Obama signed into law Tuesday, the Associated Press reports. The lawsuit — which names the U.S. departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor — was filed immediately after the president’s signing ceremony Tuesday. Attorneys general from Florida, South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Utah, Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Dakota, Louisiana, Idaho, Washington and Colorado are joining in. Other GOP attorneys general may join the lawsuit later or sue separately.
Of the 13, only one — Buddy Caldwell of Louisiana — is a Democrat, notes David Weigel at the Washington Independent. Weigel also reports that three of the attorneys general are running for governor.
Americans do many things well, and yes, fighting is at the top of that list. This is another front in the war against Marxism. That fight, I feel, will culminate in the Supreme Court. Again, pray for constitutional wisdom for those justices.
