Irrespective of the details of the ObamaCare legislation, the ugliness, the kickbacks, the foul propaganda directed against citizens, there is the fact that the spirit of the Constitution has been trampled.
Somebody, say, Fred Thompson, needs to cut a brief ad describing how legitimate legislation works, and how this monstrosity has played out.
The notions in the founding documents need re-emphasis, and the seemingly obvious point that ObamaCare, like the income tax, will not be seen as legitimate by those who’ve sworn “to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic“, until such time as this fundamental alteration in the fabric of the country occurs according to Article V.

Judge Orders Notorious Terrorist Freed From Gitmo – Weekly Standard
According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S. District Court Judge James Robertson has ordered Mohamedou Slahi – a known al Qaeda recruiter who worked for Osama bin Laden – freed from Guantanamo. The Journal’s account does not explain the judge’s reasoning and the decision was not immediately available online. But the decision is inexplicable in light of Slahi’s notorious track record.
There is no doubt that Mohamedou Slahi is one of the worst terrorists held at Gitmo. Among Slahi’s most notorious recruits were four of the September 11 conspirators, all of whom were members of the infamous Hamburg cell. Slahi’s role in recruiting the Hamburg cell for al Qaeda is explained on pages 165 and 166 of the 9/11 Commission’s final report.
Slahi arranged for Ramzi Binalshibh, al Qaeda’s point man for the 9/11 operation, and three of his cohorts to travel from Germany to Afghanistan so that they could train in al Qaeda’s camps and swear allegiance to Osama bin Laden. Binalshibh’s three friends were: Mohammed Atta, Marwan al Shehhi, and Ziad Jarrah – the suicide pilots of American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, and United Airlines Flight 93, respectively.
Along with Binalshibh, Shehhi and Jarrah met with Slahi in late 1999. The three originally wanted to travel to Chechnya to fight, but Slahi convinced them to travel to Afghanistan for training first instead. The 9/11 Commission explained:
Slahi instructed them to obtain Pakistani visas and then return to him for further directions on how to reach Afghanistan. Although Atta did not attend the meeting, he joined in the plan with the other three. After obtaining the necessary visas, they received Slahi’s final instructions on how to travel to Karachi and then Quetta, where they were to contact someone named Umar al Masri at the Taliban office.

Pelosi’s Favorability Rating At 11%, Reid’s At 8% – CBS News
Most Americans don’t have an opinion about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a new CBS News poll finds, even after more than a year of debate over the health care reform bill that put them squarely in the public eye.
Yet those who do have an opinion of the Democratic Congressional leaders don’t seem to have a very good one: Pelosi and Reid are viewed unfavorably by roughly three times as many people as they are viewed favorably.

Woman Told To Take Train To Opposite Platform – Orange News
A wheelchair-bound woman was told to take a train for 30 miles in order to cross to an opposite platform 20 yards away. Julie Cleary, 53, was hoping to use a new £2.8m lift at Staplehurst train station in Kent to get out of the station after a day trip to London, reports the Daily Telegraph.
But she was told she could not use it because of “health and safety” and told to instead to catch a train to Ashford International Station, 15 miles away, and back so she would end up on the right platform.

Man Stabs, Kills 8 Children Outside School In China – Los Angeles Times
At least eight children were slain by a man brandishing a knife outside an elementary school in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian, authorities said Tuesday. The suspect was identified as Zheng Mingsheng, a 41-year-old unemployed doctor who was said to be depressed over personal and professional failings.
He was arrested. The rampage began at 7.20 a.m. as the children were waiting to go to school. According to unconfirmed reports by bloggers, the suspect was stopped by a gym teacher, a jogger and a security guard, one of whom knocked the knife out of his hand with a mop.

Fan Misses Match After 10,000 Mile Flight – Ananova
A football fan flew 10,000 miles to watch his favourite team for the first time – only to miss the game when his train broke down. Will Keegan, 26, paid £700 pounds for flights from Melbourne, Australia, and a ticket for Blackburn Rovers’ Premier League match with Fulham.
He stayed with family in Bromley, Kent, and on the morning of the game set off by train to make what should have been a three-hour trip. But his journey came to a halt near Rugby, Warkwickshire, due to an earlier train having torn down power lines, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Music Can Be Banned If It Even Sounds Religious – WorldNetDaily
A public school has banned performance of an instrumental version of “Ave Maria” at its high-school graduation simply because the superintendent fears it might sound religious – and the U.S. Supreme Court is allowing the ban to stand by refusing to hear the case.
Kathryn Nurre, a former student at Henry M. Jackson High School in Everett, Wash., brought the action against Carol Whitehead, superintendent of Everett School District, alleging that she engaged in unjustified censorship of expression.

Burglar Breaks In, Cooks Dinner – Stuff
Police in an American town say someone broke into a restaurant and cooked a chicken and rice dish before fleeing – leaving behind a pile of dirty dishes. They say the hungry burglar on Saturday broke through an exhaust fan in the back wall of the Matsu Sushi Grill in Hillsdale, a town of 10,000 residents just northwest of New York City.
The burglar got chicken from a freezer and cooked it with rice in a frying pan, according to The Record of Bergen County. Detective Robert Francaviglia says the burglar ignored $US200 in the cash register.

States Move To Block Obamacare’s Unfunded Mandate – News Max
Less than 24 hours after the House gave final approval to a sweeping overhaul of healthcare, attorneys general from several states on Monday said they will sue to block the plan on constitutional grounds.
Republican attorneys general in 11 states warned that lawsuits will be filed to stop the federal government overstepping its constitutional powers and usurping states’ sovereignty.

Former Inmate Gets 15 Years For Breaking Into Jail – Yahoo News
A Florida man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for violating his probation by trying to break into the Brevard County jail. A judged sentenced 25-year-old Sylvester Jiles of Cocoa on Monday. He was convicted in January of trespassing on jail property and resisting an officer.
Authorities say Jiles tried to climb a 12-foot fence at the Brevard County Detention Center in August. He was caught and hospitalized with severe cuts from the barbed wire. He had been released a week earlier after accepting a plea deal on a manslaughter charge.

Avalanche Kills 35 In Afghan Northeast – MSNBC
An avalanche swept through five residential houses killing 35 people, including women and children, in Afghanistan’s northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said Tuesday.
The disaster happened overnight in the Argho Panjkhwa district of the remote and rugged province which borders China, Pakistan and Tajikistan, said Abdul Maroof Rasekh, a spokesman for the provincial governor.

Health Care Bill: Calorie Counts For Big Macs, Vending Machines – Politico
Buried deep in the House health care bill is a provision, likely to raise nanny-state hackles, requiring fast-food chains and vending machine owners to notify customers of calorie counts – by conspicuously posting nutritional information on menus or machines.
The provision – Section 2572 – requires retail food establishments “part of a chain with 20 or more locations” to list calorie counts “on the menu board including a drive-through board,” as is currently required in New York City and other localities.

Democrats To America: Drop Dead – Washington Examiner
Despite more than a year of steadily rising public opposition, manifested in opinion polls and in protest rallies across the country, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally rammed through Obamacare late Sunday when House Democrats gave the bill their imprimatur.
The House vote isn’t the end of the national debate on this issue, however, as the Senate still must accept the House changes in the Senate Obamacare bill. Senate Republicans argue that the House reconciliation bill that makes significant changes in the Senate bill violates the Congressional Budget Act of 1974, maintaining that it should be ruled out of order by the Senate parliamentarian for consideration in the upper chamber. That in turn would mean the only bill the president could legally sign would be the original Senate bill, with its massive funding of abortion and the infamous deals used to buy senators’ votes, including the Cornhusker Kickback. At that point, a constitutional crisis of historic magnitude seems inevitable.
Here’s why: Never before in American history has a measure of such importance been imposed on the country by the majority party over the unanimous opposition of the minority. Democrats have continually sought to create a halo effect for Obamacare by associating it with Social Security and Medicare. But the reality is that both of those landmark programs were approved with strong bipartisan support in both the Senate and House. The Senate vote on Social Security in 1935 was 77-6, with 64 Democrats being joined by 14 Republicans.
In the House, the 373 votes for Social Security included 77 Republicans. When Medicare passed in 1965, the 68-21 Senate vote included 13 Republicans, while 65 Republicans were among the 313 affirmative House votes. Such bipartisan consensus was what the Founders sought with the Constitution. But Democrats made a mockery of bipartisanship by shoving Obamacare down the throats of Republican lawmakers and snubbing the popular majority that opposed it. The Democrats have undercut the credibility of the law they created.
A fast-track challenge to Obamacare’s constitutionality will likely reach the Supreme Court in coming months. The justices will have multiple issues to consider, including the unprecedented federal mandate that all individuals buy approved health insurance, the undeniable inequity of the many corrupt bargains used to buy votes for the measure, and the banana republic parliamentary tactics used by the Democratic congressional leadership. Whatever the high court’s decision, it won’t be nearly as unpleasant as the verdict many Democrats will hear from their constituents in November.

He could have established a monarchy with his charisma and the fact that no provision was in place for the President’s term of service. The people and the Congress as a whole loved him that much. But as was his way, he lead by example; he set down the scepter of power and passed the torch of freedom and guardianship of the Constitution to the trust of God and the next elected caretaker of America’s Constitution.
This was the setting when George Washington, after presiding over the birth of a nation unlike any ever before conceived, addressed the State Governments in his Circular Letter of 1783, his last before he retired from public service. He wrote in part,
“The Citizens of America, placed in the most enviable condition, as the sole Lords and Proprietors of a vast Tract of Continent, comprehending all the various soils and climates of the World, and abounding with all the necessaries and conveniences of life, are now by the late satisfactory pacification, acknowledged to be possessed of absolute freedom and Independency; They are, from this period, to be considered as Actors on a most conspicuous Theater, which seems to be peculiarly designated by Providence for the display of human greatness and felicity.

I read a bit earlier, claims by Rep. John Lewis and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver that Tea Party protesters spat on them and called them Niggers yesterday. I must say, upon reading that my B.S. meter went off. Turns out, my B.S. meter is working like a charm!
Rep. John Lewis and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver claim the crowd outside the House chanted “Nigger, nigger” 15 times and that they were spat upon, even though Capitol police were right there, no arrests were made and the whole non-incident is here on tape in stark contradiction of their claims.
Of course, during the campaign, Lewis also claimed that Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin were the moral equals of the Birmingham church-bombers who killed four black girls in 1962.
Truly despicable. And the saddest part is many people, who have been indoctrinated by race pimps like the NAACP, Je$$e Jack$on, Al Sharpton and others will just blindly believe this. Liberals have, for decades now, done their damnedest to convince Blacks that they are victims of racism. Of course, Conservatives, or anyone else opposed to the Marxist intentions of Democrats, are blamed, often without any evidence of hating Blacks, and women, and every other minority group, the Democrats seek to trick into groupthink. Truth is that the Liberals prefer minorities to be bitter and angry, and locked into eternal victimhood syndrome.
Yes, they say they are fighting for minorities, but in truth, they are fighting to keep them loyal Democratic voters, once they leave that plantation? Well, ask Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, or any other minority that dares question their Liberal masters.

I think it is time that everyone who voted for these Marxists look in the mirror, and punch themselves in the face. Of course, most people who voted for them are too stupid to brush their teeth by themselves, so, they are not even aware of how badly they have screwed America. All they know is that they think they are going to get a huge handout, boy, will they be surprised when they see what will actually happen once ObamaCare passes.

Here we go again. Time for another Let’s Make a Deal Watch in the Era of Hope of Change. As GOP Rep. Paul Ryan noted the other day at the House Budget Committee wreckonciliation shell hearing: “We are not governing here today, we are greasing the skids.”
*Nebraska’s Hospital Helper. Via Rowan Scarborough at the Washington Times:
The Obama administration has delivered another budget plum to Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson and the state of Nebraska, adding more than a half-billion dollars for a new veterans hospital in Omaha.
The move reverses a decision by Mr. Obama’s own Veterans Administration of a year ago, which called for repairing an existing hospital.
The Veterans Administration made the budget switch during internal deliberations in 2009 at a time when the White House was wooing the moderate Democrat to vote for President Obama’s health care overhaul bill.
Mr. Nelson was among the last of the Senate Democrats to sign on to the health bill, deciding to vote “yes” after securing special Medicaid payments for Nebraska in a deal known as the “Cornhusker Kickback.” Health care reform opponents have widely panned that deal.
At the time that deal was being made, Mr. Nelson was getting another boost from the VA as it formulated its next budget.
Jake Thompson, a spokesman for Mr. Nelson, rejected the idea the new hospital was awarded in exchange for the senator’s health care vote.

Democrats unveiling revisions Thursday to their health-care overhaul bill decided to kill the extra $100 million in Medicaid funds for Nebraska that has become a symbol of backdoor deal making. But the 153 pages of changes to the package include an additional $99 million in 2012 and 2013 for Tennessee hospitals that treat many poor people.
Retiring Rep. Bart Gordon, D-Tenn., has fought for the funds for years to bring the state’s aid up to par with the rest of the country, spokeswoman Emily Phelps said. She said their inclusion had nothing to do with his announcement Thursday that he will vote for the final health legislation after opposing an earlier version in November.

*North Dakota’s Student Loan Loophole. With a sick stomach, Scott Johnson at Power Line reports:
Although the package nationalizes the student loan system, one bank — the state-owned Bank of North Dakota — would be allowed to continue making student loans. Such a deal for North Dakota’s Democratic congressional delegation facing massive opposition to Obamacare back home.
North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan has already announced his retirement rather than try to defend Obamacare to his constituents. Kent Conrad — North Dakota’s other Democratic senator — is employing the full Nelson, declining the bribe. Referring to “an overly heated partisan environment,” he asked the House to remove the buyoff from the legislation.
We await word from Rep. Earl Pomeroy, the state’s lone member of the House. Before the package was announced, Pomeroy was an enthusiastic advocate of the buyoff. “We want what’s taking place in North Dakota protected,” Pomeroy said. It is not clear whether Pomeroy shares Conrad’s second thoughts
And Congress will now expressly fund racial discrimination in higher education:
The new package also promises new aid for colleges serving minority students, using money the government is supposed to save by no longer paying banks to make student loans. Included are annual payments of $100 million for schools with large numbers of Hispanic students, the same amount for colleges with many black students, and millions more for schools with large numbers of native Americans and other minorities.
Newspapers running stories on these deals such as the Washington Post’s “Cornhusker Kickback gets the boot in health bill” really ought to provide nausea warnings and motion sickness bags.
*The La Raza Lollilop. Open-borders congressional reps made a show of protesting the phony immigration enforcement provisions in Demcare. But purported opponents of the bill led by Illinois Democrat Rep. Luis Guiterrez are falling in line. Just as the congressional Hispanic Caucus announced it support of Demcare, Obama announced his vow of support for their new shamnesty push.
Michelle has MUCH, MUCH more, and it will sicken you. These bastards give not one damn about representing their constituents, unless, of course it can help fatten their wallets. the Democrats, the Party of the People, greed and corruption. They are unfit to serve, every one of them MUST be sent packing in November! And we must resolve to fight to our last breath to stop the Marxist abomination that is ObamaCare!

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster says he and Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum are ready to file a federal lawsuit if health care reform legislation passes. The U.S. House plans to vote on the plan Sunday.
McMaster said Friday that he expects attorneys general to join the lawsuit. He and other GOP counterparts have denounced the legislation.
McMaster says he wants to challenge an exemption that would keep Nebraska from paying for Medicaid costs.
He says even if that provision is dropped, he will sue over the requirement for everyone to buy health insurance. McMaster says both provisions violate state sovereignty.

Communism, and all of the other bastard miscreant children of Marxism is, simply put, evil. Where it is allowed to take root, it soon leads to despair, suffering, and ultimately the enslavement of the people. It’s sworn enemy is you, me, the individual, for individualism is not allowed under any form of Marxism.
Individualism leads men to question the folly of Marxism. Individualism leads men to seek control of their own lives, fortunes, and courses. Such is not allowed under Communism. The individual is placed under the collective in all forms of Marxism. Thus the individual is only afforded those rights that the elites deem to be beneficial to the collective, the “community”.
In all forms of Marxism, the individual is oppressed, beaten into submission in one manner or the other. And, again, understand EVERY right that God gave you, that our Constitution protects, EVERY right that our Founding Fathers understood and honored, will be, first restricted, than rationed, and in the end, crushed should we ever allow the evil of Communism to gain power here.
Your right to private property? Only if it suits the elites.
Your parental right s to raise your children as you see fit? Only if it pleases the elites, who must ensure every child is properly indoctrinated.
You right to worship as you choose? Again, only approved choices will be tolerated. The same goes for your right to speak, associate, and assemble. Again, the elites will know best for all of us.
A right to keep arms? To defend yourself? Surely such things cannot be allowed, after all, they might interfere with the “common good”, which, of course will be determined by the elites.
Don’t think these things could ever happen? Ask yourself this. Did you ever believe our Congress and President would pass massive legislation that the majority of Americans have made clear they DO NOT WANT? Did you ever believe one political party would go to such lengths to pass legislation that violates the Constitution, and use procedures that are clearly not Constitutional?
They say, never say, well you know the rest don’t you? You are watching our government seek to usurp YOUR power, and YOUR rights. Power over YOU, power over YOUR wealth, your health, your children’s health, and wealth. These tyrants seek to shake their fists at you, and your liberties. They shake their fists at the Constitution, and at God, who created us with the rights they are trying to steal from us.
Will your children have liberty, or will they suffer their lives as slaves to an out of control government that will tell them how much money they may make, how much they may keep, what type of medical treatments they may receive, and tell them one day, that prolonging their lives is, not beneficial for the common good? Will you, and I, allow such a treacherous fate to befall this great nation?

Obama, Clinton Fundraiser Admits $292 Million Fraud – Reuters
A wealthy businessman who raised money for leading Democratic Party politicians, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, pleaded guilty on Thursday to defrauding three major banks out of $292.2 million in loan transactions.
Hassan Nemazee, 60, who once ran a private equity firm, admitted in Manhattan federal court to defrauding Bank of America Corp of more than $142 million, Citigroup Inc of $74.9 million and HSBC Holdings Plc of $74.9 million to pay his debt to Citigroup.

Man Used Penis To Assault Female Police Officer – BBC News
A man who assaulted a female police officer with his penis has been fined. Marium Varinauskas, 28, tried to strike the officer on the head with his penis when she was called out to his flat, but she got out of the way.
Lithuanian Varinauskas admitted a charge of assault at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and was fined £600. The court heard he had been drinking heavily and could not remember committing the offence at his home in Aberdeen.

The Maricopa County sheriff’s office launched a two-day crime and immigration sweep throughout metropolitan Phoenix on Thursday, marking the 14th such patrol by Sheriff Joe Arpaio within the last two years.
Four hundred deputies and volunteer posse members were fanning out in communities in patrols that Arpaio said would target drug traffickers and the stash houses and vehicles used by immigrant smugglers.

Sleeping Man Shocked After Cold Man Jumps Into Bed – My Way
Police said a man broke into a Pittsburgh home and climbed into bed with its owner, apparently because he was drunk and cold following a rap concert. Homeowner Frank Fontana says he was in bed when the man climbed in about 5:30 Wednesday morning.
Fontana says he asked whether it was a woman who has keys to his home – and he grabbed a baseball bat when a deep male voice answered, “No, it’s not.” Police said Fontana kept the man at bay until police arrived but didn’t hit him with the bat.

Crash-And-Dash Robbers Steal Empty ATM – WFTV
For a group of robbers in California, crime didn’t pay. Police said robbers crashed a van into a Hayward food mart and stole the mart’s ATM — but that ATM was empty, KTVU-TV in San Jose reported. Hayward police released video footage of the crash-and-dash heist late Wednesday and announced that they had found the van used in the robbery.
Authorities said the robbery took place at around 6 a.m. at the closed food mart. Officers who arrived at the scene found a gaping hole in the front of the store where the robbers had driven the van through the front doors.

Computer Snafu Behind At Least 50 ‘Raids’ On Brooklyn Couple’s Home – New York Daily News
Blame it on a computer. Embarrassed cops on Thursday cited a “computer glitch” as the reason police targeted the home of an elderly, law-abiding couple more than 50 times in futile hunts for bad guys.
Apparently, the address of Walter and Rose Martin’s Brooklyn home was used to test a department-wide computer system in 2002. What followed was years of cops appearing at the Martins’ door looking for murderers, robbers and rapists – as often as three times a week.

Man Found With Stolen Property After Hailing Police Cruiser With Middle Finger – CBC
An Edmonton man who used his middle finger to flag down a cruiser in northern Ontario has been charged with stolen property offences. The cruiser with the Kenora detachment stopped after officers noticed the not-so-polite gesture, and the man asked if he could get a ride to the nearest town.
Officers found the man had two-stolen credit cards, a stolen GPS, an iPod charger and a BlackBerry. Police allege the accused had picked up the items during his travels through Winnipeg. Dragutin Cabor, 19, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
