Fairness? From the government? In my paycheck? OH SHIT!
OH NO! Something tells me this is not going to go well.
Uh oh — Obama and the Democrats are talking about “fairness” again, which means we’re all on the brink of being screwed, but more fairly than ever:
WASHINGTON — President Obama plans to press Congress today to pass pay-equity legislation that would make it easier for women to sue employers who pay them less than their male counterparts, the White House said Monday.
“Women deserve equal pay,” White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said in an interview, citing government statistics that show women earn 77 cents for every dollar men earn. “It’s a very fundamental right.”
Obama will announce his support for the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill that has languished in Congress for several years. In 2007, President Bush warned he would veto the bill, and it has been stalled by opposition from some Republicans and business groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Ya know, this is scary, BUT, hey, at least the ACLU has not endorsed it, so….OH SHIT!
The American Civil Liberties Union, which urges Congress to pass the law, says the measure would provide needed updates to the Equal Pay Act of 1963, which included only limited enforcement provisions.

Unlike the Bush administration, which allowed greedy offshore porn producers to compete for Labor Department contracts:
Contractors must now prove that any Russian pornography used in fulfilling U.S. government orders was made without children.
That’s the bizarre message that U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration sent out this week when its Labor Department placed Russian pornography on a blacklist of products that “might have been mined, produced or manufactured by forced or indentured child labor.”
The 29-item list, published on the Labor Department’s web site on Monday, “is designed to make sure that federal agencies do not buy products made with forced or indentured child labor,” according to a fact sheet on the department’s web site. . . .
“[The blacklist] requires federal contractors who furnish such a product to make certifications designed to help ensure that forced or indentured child labor was not, in fact, used to make the product,” the fact sheet says.
It was not clear Tuesday when and why the U.S. government might require contractors to provide pornography from Russia or any other country.

I mean when is the last time you heard of 100 or so Christians attacking and destroying a mosque? You have not heard of such stories have you? No, you haven’t, THAT is the point! Christianity is a lot more tolerant, and a lot less radical than Islam.
You see, you could actually argue with radical Christians without feeling that you had to be heavily armed. Radical Muslims? Not so much!

Soros-Funded Terrorist, ACORN Pushed Felon Vote – WorldNetDaily
A federal bill that seeks to restore voting rights in national elections to felons released from prison has been a pet project of one of the most dangerous members of Bill Ayers’ Weather Underground domestic terrorist group, WND has learned.
Linda Evans, who herself served 15 years of a 40-year federal sentence, pushed the plan of registering convicted felons along with the radical Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She is a recipient of the Soros Justice Fellowship, bestowed by philanthropist George Soros.
Evans was arrested in 1985 transporting 740 pounds of explosives which she acknowledged was slated for use by the Weather Underground in bombings of U.S. government buildings. Targets of herterrorist group’s activities included the U.S. Capitol building, the National War College, the Navy Yard Computer Center and Navy Yard Officers Club, and the New York Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.
At a conference for Ayers’ Students for a Democratic Society in late August 1969, Evans famously described being shown a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun which she said she had cradled in her arms while stating she had wished for an American airplane to fly overhead. She reportedly closed with an emotional speech about being a communist, according to unclassified FBI files on Ayers’ group.
President Clinton pardoned Evans in January 2001.
President Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, reportedly was instrumental in securing Evans pardon. As Deputy Attorney General under Clinton, the Washington Post credited him with being “the gatekeeper for presidential pardons.” Holder reportedly was a key figure entrusted with the task of vetting Clinton’s 176 last-minute pardons that included Evans.
After leaving prison, Evans became co-director of the San Francisco-based non-profit All of Us or None, a Saul Alinsky-style national organizing initiative of prisoners, former prisoners and felons. The organization claims it is seeking to combat “the many forms of discrimination” faced by the prison community.
Evans since has been at the center of voter registration drives for former prisoners, including drives organized alongside ACORN.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, for example, Evans’ group sponsored chapters throughout California that held drives in Alameda, Sacramento, Orange, San Mateo, Los Angeles and San Diego counties.
“Laws that directly affect inmates will be decided this November, so please share this information and encourage them to vote,” Evans was quoted as telling the San Francisco Bay View at the time.
In one August 2008 drive, Evans’ group provided voter information in visitor lines at San Diego Central Jail as a joint effort with ACORN. The two organizations worked together on a slew of othervoter registration drives.

Police have arrested a man who they say punched another man who refused to hug him. Iowa City police responded to a report of someone being aggressive and punching cars Sunday night.

61 Killed As Two Trains Crash In East India – Washington Post
The 22-year-old was asleep on the overnight train, headed to his distant job at a call center, when an enormous jolt awakened him and his coach flipped. He lay with his leg broken for five hours, crushed under the dead bodies of other passengers as he waited for help.
The powerful crash between two express trains at a station in eastern India early Monday morning killed 61 people and injured scores more. The force of the crash was so intense the roof of one car was thrust onto an overpass above the tracks.
Accidents are relatively common on India’s sprawling rail network, which is one of the world’s largest but lacks modern signaling and communication systems. Most crashes are blamed on poor maintenance and human error.
It was the second major train crash in West Bengal state in two months. On May 28, a passenger train derailed and was hit by an cargo train, killing 145 people. Authorities blamed sabotage by Maoist rebels for that crash.
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee rushed to the site of Monday’s crash and raised the possibility it was another case of sabotage. But there no immediate indication that rebels were to blame, and railway officials said the cause of the crash was unclear.
A handful of accidents in north India in January killed at least a dozen people and were blamed on heavy winter fog that impaired visibility. Other fatal crashes happened when rickety rail bridges give way. However, accidents as deadly as Monday’s crash are rare.
It happened about 2 a.m. when the fast-moving Uttarbanga Express slammed into the Vananchal Express as it was leaving the platform at Sainthia station, about 125 miles (200 kilometers) north of Calcutta.
Two passenger cars and a luggage car of the Vananchal Express were destroyed, leaving a tangle of twisted metal. The passenger cars were reserved for those on the cheapest tickets and such carriages are usually packed to capacity.

A man sporting horns, tatooed eyebrows and earlobe implants has allegedly attempted to run over his landlord. 28-year-old Jesse Thornhill from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been arrested and spent the night in jail before being released on bail of $10,000, reports Metro.

Police: Pa. Teacher Faked Inoperable Brain Tumor – Yahoo News
Police in Pennsylvania say a middle school teacher lied for years about having an inoperable brain tumor. 51-year-old Leslie Herneisey is accused of faking documents to take sick leave.
She faces 12 counts of forgery. Police say Herneisey missed work at Middletown Middle School over the years for treatment of a purported tumor. But her lack of symptoms made officials suspicious.
