Bloggers unite to defend scums reputation
Because no one and no substance, even scum deserves to be compared to Alan Grayson. Bob, Stacy, Carol, and Ed and I, have joined together to say that of all life forms, scum is low, bu Alan Grayson is a few eons of evolution from being as worthwhile as scum is. And, it seems that the voters are with us.

Actually, justice would be too strong of a word. Justice, in this case, would be Alan Grayson falling 27 points behind Dan Webster after the smears that the Democrat from Florida has conducted in his desperate bid to cling to power. But take heart; the latest Sunshine State Poll
was conducted mainly before the smear in the “Taliban Dan” ad was exposed and widely condemned, which means Grayson may still be hurtling downward:
In one of the most closely watched U.S. House races in the nation, Republican Daniel Webster now holds a 7-point lead over Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson in Central Florida’s 8th Congressional District, according to a new Sunshine State News Poll.
Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27. TEA (“Taxed Enough Already”) Party candidate Peg Dunmire drew 6 percent and NPA hopeful George Metcalfe garnered 3 percent, while 9 percent remained undecided (2 percent cited “other” and 1 percent refused to state).Digging deeper, the numbers look even worse for Grayson as 51 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of the Orlando-area congressman.
Yeah, but how is Grayson doing with women voters? Uh, oh! Turns out that they despise him. I mean they really, really do not like him a LOT. Too bad.
So I wonder what Grayson will do after he is shown the door in November? My bet, a show, or at least a slot as a political analyst on MSNBS will be offered to him. That, of course, might unseat Keith Olbermann as the “Biggest Douchebag” on MSNBS but, oh well.

Something about Meg Whitman’s “illegal, abused” maid stinks like Gloria Allred!
The timing of the allegations against Whitman stinks. The presence of bottom feeding attorney Gloria Allred stinks most of all. Allred has less credibility than just about anyone else on earth frankly, she is to gender pimping what Al Sharpton is to race pimping.
It stinks of BS as Hugh Hewiit points out.

I just got though reading about Meg Whitman’s alleged ”illegal alien maid” problem and I have to say something doesn’t pass the smell test.
The maid is basically claiming that work at Meg’s was a living hell (a $23 per hour living hell) and that Whitman knew she was illegal. The maid also claims she was kicked to the curb last year when Whitman decided to run for governor. Whitman has fired back saying the maid is “full of it” and has released the maid’s application and documentation (SS card and Calif driver’s license).
The maid’s (Nicky Diaz Santillan) story reads like it was written for maximum effect. Even the sob story about the extra chores she had to do.
Never mind that on her application the extra chores she complains about are checked as things she would do.
ONLY the government could be THIS stupid!

New York Daily News: The city will change the lettering on every single street sign – at an estimated cost of about $27.5 million – because the feds don’t like the font.
Street names will change from all capital letters to a combination of upper and lower case on roads across the country thanks to the pricey federal regulation, officials said Wednesday.
By 2018, MADISON AVE. will become Madison Ave. and will be printed in a font called Clearview, the city Department of Transportation says.
The Federal Highway Administration says the switch will improve safety because drivers identify the words more quickly when they’re displayed that way – and can sooner return their eyes to the road.
Still, several city residents were OUTRAGED.
The city has about 250,000 signs, and it costs about $110 to replace one, the DOT says. Officials said the new signs will have improved reflectivity and clarity for nighttime drivers. […]
The changes are among many in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices that regularly changes to improve road safety, highway administration spokesman Doug Hecox said. The mixed upper- and lowercase rule was adopted in 2003, but municipalities were given until 2018 to comply completely, Hecox said.

Last Friday FBI agents raided the homes of far left activists in Chicago and Minneapolis who are linked to the Marxist FARC terrorists and Islamic radicals as part of a terrorism investigation. The home of radical Hatem Abudayyeh was among them.
Hatem Abudayyeh is the executive director of the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). Hatem Abudayyeh has been with the Arab American Action Network (AAAN) since 1999, and was appointed Executive Director in 2003. The Arab American Action Network was founded by former PLO operative and close Obama family friend Rashid Khalidi. Obama was a director of the Woods Fund from 1994 through 2001, when the board approved a $40,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network.
In 2003 Barack Obama was an honored guest at a dinner sponsored by the AAAN for former PLO-operative Rashid Khalidi. During the dinner a video was taken that shows Barack Obama celebrating with members of this Palestinian group who are openly hostile towards Israel. Barack Obama even gave a toast to a Rashid Khalidi at this going away party. The LA Times will not release the video from this Jew-bashing dinner.
Not only was Hatem Abudayyeh’s radical organization given $40,000 by Barack Obama and the Woods Fund but his organization also collected nearly half a million in taxpayer money.
ABC Local reported: When FBI agents raided the Chicago home of Hatem Abudayyeh last Friday, they took his laptop computer and paper records, anything with the word “Palestine” on it, according to the man’s attorney.
Federal search warrants indicate that authorities are looking for connections between terrorist organizations in the Middle East and South America and certain anti-war leaders and organizations in the U.S.
As executive director of the Arab American Action Network in Chicago, Mr. Abudayyeh is a well-known advocate for immigrant rights. When federal officers raided his North Side home last week, along with residences in Minneapolis, they were looking for funding links between Abudayyeh and the radical Islamic group Hamas that took power in the Gaza Strip three years ago.
Even as Abudayyeh is under investigation by a federal grand jury, city of Chicago records obtained by the ABC7 I-Team show that his Arab American Action Network has received thousands of dollars in city grants: as much as $457,000 since 1998. According to city officials, the money was intended for an after-school program for high-risk students who struggle with English.
So how did that happen? And would someone in the Obama Administration explain what Abudayyeh was doing in the White House this year?

Former Bexar County Democrat Party Treasurer Dwayne Eugene Adams was indicted Wednesday on charges that he embezzled and misused about $202,000 of party funds.
Adams, 55, could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of theft between $100,000 and $200,000 and misapplication by a fiduciary between $100,000 and $200,000. Each charge is a second-degree felony.

Rape Suspect Confesses To 1,000 Sex Offences – The Local
An alleged serial rapist admitted before a Dusseldorf court on Monday to having committed more than 1,000 sex offences over two decades, usually luring his victims by faking a disability.
The 46-year-old father from the Altenahr district in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, identified as Jorg P., confessed to committing 20 rapes and more than 1,000 other crimes, mostly indecent exposure.

The number of people killed in a series of mudslides in southern Mexico has climbed to 30, officials said on Thursday, as a punishing rainy season continued to sow misery in the region.

There isn’t a monarch that a Prime Minister needs to kneel before, asking for permission on how to form the government. The vote is our single most important tool that we can use to help shape this Republic.
So when voter fraud happens, it’s not just canceling out your vote but its stealing your voice in how you want the country to be ran.
And it looks like it’s up to “We The People” to do something about it:
When Catherine Engelbrecht and her friends sat down and started talking politics several years ago, they soon agreed that talking wasn’t enough. They wanted to do more. So when the 2008 election came around, “about 50” of her friends volunteered to work at Houston’s polling places.
“What we saw shocked us,” she said. “There was no one checking IDs, judges would vote for people that asked for help. It was fraud, and we watched like deer in the headlights.”
Their shared experience, she says, created “True the Vote,” a citizen-based grassroots organization that began collecting publicly available voting data to prove that what they saw in their day at the polls was, indeed, happening — and that it was happening everywhere.

“The first thing we started to do was look at houses with more than six voters in them” Engelbrecht said, because those houses were the most likely to have fraudulent registrations attached to them. “Most voting districts had 1,800 if they were Republican and 2,400 of these houses if they were Democratic . . .“But we came across one with 24,000, and that was where we started looking.”

The group called for help and quickly got 30 donated computers and “tens of thousands of hours” of volunteer work. And then the questions started to arise.“Vacant lots had several voters registered on them. An eight-bed halfway house had more than 40 voters registered at its address,” Engelbrecht said. “We then decided to look at who was registering the voters.”

Most of the findings focused on a group called Houston Votes, a voter registration group headed by Sean Caddle, who also worked for the Service Employees International Union before coming to Houston. Among the findings were that only 1,793 of the 25,000 registrations the group submitted appeared to be valid.

In a shameful course of action that would make notorious Catilline blush, Murkowski’s Palin-hating henchmen John Bitney and Andrew Halco first sought to get her the Libertarian Party nomination. Rebuffed by the Libertarians, the Bitney/Halco faction then promoted Murkowski as a write-in candidate. Despite Murkowski’s perfidy, in a secret meeting last week, Senate Republicans declined to strip her of her status as ranking member of the Energy Committee. And now National Review is asking the important question: Which GOP Senators are protecting Murkowski, enabling her to tell Alaska voters that her Senate seniority is an asset worth retaining?

I expect him to come here and be a valuable team player the moment he gets here . . . We want to stay focused on them, not us.
Let me try to understand the “Wisdom” of the RINO here. Murkowski, like other “valuable” establishment Republicans like Charlie Crist and Mike Castle, have done their damnedest to cost the Republican Party seats in Delaware, Alaska and Florida after Republican voters rejected them in state primaries. And for THIS, we should continue to accept and embrace them?

Which reminds me of something. I like Sean Hannity well enough, but one thing I detest about his shows, radio and TV, is the frequency that Blowhard Beckel ia a guest. What exactly does he offer anyone? He is nothing more than a walk behind ass kisser parroting the Democratic Party lies. I doubt the guy has ever had an original thought in his life. I also would not be shocked to learn that the only time this bag of puss takes a dump is when the DNC grants him permission.
Seriously, reading a cereal box offers more mental stimulation than listening to Beckel regurgitate the same talking points. Beckel is a classic example of what is wrong with political debate today, he, like most talking heads sounds like a robot, rather than a person arguing for his ideals.
Which is why I often ignore talking head shows. There is no “there” there. Hint to Hannity, and the rest, try giving people with a voice some slots. Donald Douglas, Stacy McCain, Bob Belevedere, and several more bloggers I could name are FAR more deserving than retreads like Beckel, or Carville, or Peggy Noonan, Newt Gingrich, Karl Rove, Etc. It is originality, and sincerity that we crave. Where is it?

Vice President Biden renewed his warning on Tuesday that the administration’s agenda would come to a “screeching halt” if Republicans win control of Congress.
Biden said he was right to warn that the administration’s work would be scuttled if the GOP manages to pick up enough seats in this fall’s elections to win back the House, or possibly, the Senate.
“If these guys win, and I got in trouble for saying this early in the campaign,” Biden explained at a rally at Penn State University, “if the Republicans take back the House and Senate, our entire agenda will come to a screeching halt.”
“I was right then and I’m right now,” the vice president added. “They’re being straightforward about it; they’re not hiding the ball.”

European Unions Stage Day Of Action Over Spending Cuts – CNN
Unions planned a day of demonstrations across Europe on Wednesday to express anger at austerity measures being adopted around the continent and to demand plans for more jobs and growth.
The day of action was being organized by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), which includes trade unions from 36 European countries and says it has a total of 60 million members.
“Cutting in a recession is crazy, and we must fight it,” said John Monks, ETUC’s general secretary. He said he expected 100,000 people to turn out for a demonstration Wednesday in Brussels, Belgium.
Rallies were also planned in Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Serbia, Romania, Poland, Ireland and France. The protests coincide with a general strike in Spain, which analysts said could have a huge impact if unions disrupt commuter trains and subways used by millions of Spaniards.
Unions and officials have discussed minimum services for rail transport, but massive traffic jams are expected as people try to get to work. They had already disrupted rail transport in the country’s capital Wednesday morning. And CNN affiliate CNN+ reported that a protester was hit by a bus and injured in Barcelona.
Spain’s labor minister told reporters that, overall, the day had gotten off to a peaceful start throughout the country. But he noted that the government would do what was necessary to ensure the rights of all citizens.
“We understand that the union pickets have a purpose of informing people, and they can exercise this right. We don’t have anything against that,” Labor Minister Celestino Corbacho Chaves said. “But we think that another right is just as important, that any citizen who wants to go to work can do so in a normal fashion.”
Corbacho declined to give a figure for the strike turnout. Unions were claiming initial success.
“This is the worst economic crisis in the post-war history of Western Europe,” Monks said earlier this week. “We call for a rethink and a change – in Spain and in Europe – on September 29. We are mobilizing; they will have to listen to us.”
In Spain, unions are upset with the government’s labor reforms, which freeze pensions and cut the salaries of government workers. The government says the changes will ease Spain’s deficit and recession and make for a more competitive economy. Unions, however, say the reforms will lead to more temporary and low-paying jobs.
What led Spanish unions to call for a strike Wednesday was that the reforms make it easier for companies to lay off workers, especially higher-paid ones.

The latest Sunshine State/VSS poll shows controversial Democrat incumbent Alan Grayson trailing former state Senator Dan Webster by seven points, 43 percent to 36 percent.
A majority of respondents – 51 percent – disapprove of the job that Grayson is doing. Independents have an unfavorable view of him as well, by a 36/47 margin. RCP currently rates the race as Leans Republican.
