Heaven’s newest hero!
God bless this rancher! He is the ver embodiment of courgae! H/T Paco
When Mexican Marines arrived at the San Jose Ranch, 15 kilometers from Victoria, Tamaulipas, the scene was bleak: The austere main house was practically destroyed by grenades and heavy gunfire. Outside of the home, they found four bodies. Cautiously, and with their weapons drawn, the troops continued inspecting the exterior and found two more gunmen, wounded and unconscious, but alive.
Inside the house only one body was found, riddled with bullets and with two weapons by it’s side. The body was identified as Don Alejo Garza Tamez, the owner of the ranch and a highly respected businessman in Nuevo Leon.
Upon further inspection of the interior, marines found weapons and ammunition at every window and door. This allowed them to reconstruct how, just hours prior, the battle had played out.
Marines searched for more bodies inside the house, but none were to be found. It seemed hard to believe that one person, armed only with hunting rifles, had caused so many casualties on the attackers.
Dozens of spent shells and the smell of gunpowder gave proof of the tenacity of the man who fought to the end in defense, of not only his ranch, but his dignity.
In the end, it was deduced the man had created his own defense strategy to fight alone, placing weapons at every door and window.
The story began in the morning of Saturday November 13, when a group of armed gunmen went to deliver an ultimatum to Don Alejo Garza Tamez: He had 24 hours to turn over his property or suffer the consequences.
Using the diplomacy he had acquired over nearly eight decades of life, Don Alejo flatly announced that not only would he not be surrendering his property, but that he’d be waiting for them.
Hell freezes over! I am going to defend yodeling!
Yodeling, along with barbershop quartets, and rap, is one of the most annoying sounds to me. BUT,if it offends overly sensitive Muslims in Austria? YODEL AWAY!
You know authoritarian dhimmitude has gotten out of hand when Austrians aren’t even allowed to yodel lest it “offend” Muslim colonists.
An Austrian has been fined for yodelling while mowing his lawn, according to a report.
The Kronen Zeitung newspaper claims Helmut G. was told by a court in Graz, Styria, that his yodelling offended his next-door Muslim neighbours.
Yep! I like this Jindal guy better all the time
Jindal 2012? Folks watch this video from Gateway Pundit and tell me he doesn’t get it! Governor Jindal GETS IT!
Tavis Smiley may be the perfect example of Leftist stupidity
Just watch this fool claim that Christians are more terrorist than Muslims.
Daily Benefactor News – Smithsonian Christmas-Season Exhibit Features Ant-Covered Jesus, Naked Brothers Kissing, Genitalia, And Ellen DeGeneres Grabbing Her Breasts

The federally funded National Portrait Gallery, one of the museums of the Smithsonian Institution, is currently showing an exhibition that features images of an ant-covered Jesus, male genitals, naked brothers kissing, men in chains, Ellen DeGeneres grabbing her breasts, and a painting the Smithsonian itself describes in the show’s catalog as “homoerotic.”
The exhibit, “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture,” opened on Oct. 30 and will run throughout the Christmas Season, closing on Feb. 13.
“This is an exhibition that displays masterpieces of American portraiture and we wanted to illustrate how questions of biography and identity went into the making of images that are canonical,” David C. Ward, a National Portrait Gallery (NGP) historian who is also co-curator of the exhibit, told CNSNews.com.
A plaque fixed to the wall at the entrance to the exhibit says that the National Portrait Gallery is “committed to showing how a major theme in American history has been the struggle for justice so that people and groups can claim their full inheritance in America’s promise of equality, inclusion, and social dignity. As America’s museum of national biography, the NPG is also vitally interested in the art of portrayal and how portraiture reflects our ideas about ourselves and others.
“These themes, historic and artistic, come together in ‘Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture,’ the first major exhibition to examine the influence of gay and lesbian artists in creating modern American portraiture,” says the plaque. “‘Hide/Seek’ chronicles how, as outsiders, gay and lesbian artists occupied a position that turned to their advantage, making essential contributions to both the art of portraiture and to the creation of modern American culture.”
The Smithsonian Institution has an annual budget of $761 million, 65 percent of which comes from the federal government, according to Linda St. Thomas, the Smithsonian’s chief spokesperson. The National Portrait Gallery itself received $5.8 million in federal funding in fiscal year 2010, according to St. Thomas. It also received $5.8 million in federal funding in fiscal 2009, according to the museum’s annual report. The gallery’s overall funding in that year was $8 million.

St. Thomas told CNSNews.com that federal funds are not used to pay for Smithsonian exhibits themselves, including the “Hide/Seek” exhibit. The federal funds received by the Smithsonian, she said, pay for the buildings, the care of collections exhibited at Smithsonian venues, and museum staff, including the salaries for curators of exhibits. The exhibits presented at Smithsonian museums, including “Hide/Seek,” are funded by donations from individuals or institutions. Among the donors who provided support for the “Hide/Seek” exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery are The Calamus Foundation, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, The John Burton Harter Charitable Foundation, and The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation.
Chris Edwards, director of tax policy studies at the Cato Institute and a former senior economist on the congressional Joint Economic Committee, told CNSNews.com, “If the Smithsonian didn’t have the taxpayer-funded building, they would have no space to present the exhibit, right? In my own view, if someone takes taxpayer money, then I think the taxpayers have every right to question the institutions where the money’s going.”
“Think about the Washington Post,” he said. “They don’t have to publish every op-ed that they get, right? They own the platform. In this case [the Smithsonian Institution], the taxpayers own the platform and so the taxpayers should decide what is presented on that platform.”
Gary Scott, an economist who is a senior research fellow at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, had a similar view.
“Leaving aside the merit or lack of it in the exhibit itself, the notion that taxpayers don’t fund it is unpersuasive,” said Scott. “First, most of the overall budget derives from tax monies for the facility, and maintenance and staff. Second, the exhibit appears inside and is monitored by staff. Finally, if it was funded only by outside funding the exhibit would be outside in a snowdrift.”
A spokesperson for the gallery’s external affairs office said the cost to mount the “Hide/Seek” exhibit is $750,000, the most expensive exhibition to date at the National Portrait Gallery.
Located just seven blocks from the White House, the National Portrait Gallery is a Washington, D.C., tourist attraction because of its permanent collection of portraits of distinguished American figures. These include iconic pieces such as a version of Charles Willson Peale’s painting of George Washington after the Battle of Princeton and John Trumbull’s portrait of John Adams when he was vice president.

Bob Belvedere: Blogging Genius?
That is likely what it says on his business card! Who else but a genius could devise the ultimate weapon to ward off the ravages of Traffic Suckage Season? That weapon? Sofia Vergara attacked by Closet Lesbian
In a reverse of the shocking story we first broke in July, sources tell us that Miss Vergara was not — repeat not — attacked by a closeted woman of the Lesbianic persuasion. Through her spokesman, Major Leeg Yabows, Sophia told Rule 5 News that she has no comment on the non-incident at this time. Because of this and because we are in the midst of Holiday Traffic Suckage Season, The TCOTS Rule 5 Compliance Committee, in consultation with Robert Stacy McCain’s inner being, has decided to present the following pictures and links:
Bob you evil bastard! And, since the sincerest form of flattery is you know what…..

Ah, so that is how he stays sane
I always pondered how Stacy McCain retains his sanity, and now, his secret has been revealed. He does not listen to presidential speeches. Be sure to read his great piece on this at The American Spectator. Likewise, I tend to ignore most speeches by most politicians. I do so because they contain on average about 90% “talking points”, and I have an increasingly low tolerance for “talking points”, which is, of course, politicalese for bullshit! Talking points are basically sales pitches, and generally speaking bad sales pitches, designed to BS the American people. “talking points” are used to “stay on message”, in other words do not say anything that might be used against your party later. Talking points are just another part of the dumbing down of all things in America. Both parties use them, and to me, they are the biggest beatings to listen to, right up there with Marv Albert doing NBA games, and Bob Costas saying anything.
You know them when you hear them. Democrats, for instance, give us the “tax-cuts for the rich” talking point about every 1.2 seconds. Republicans respond with things like “fiscal responsibility” about every 1.6 seconds. To me, it does not even matter if I agree with the politician or talking head and their particular talking point. I am just burned out on the same people spewing the same things. I crave originality, sincerity, and BS-free speeches and debate.
This is why I prefer blogs to talk radio for the most part. Sure there are Dennis Prager and Rush, who are great, and their shows are NOT the usual three hours of “talking points”, but, face it, most talk radio is, well repetitious and monotonous. Blogs, though, are real, and original, well, at least most Conservative blogs are anyway. Blogs are, for the most part, good because they are NOT run by the talking head types, they are done by average folks, who are not part of the DC insiders club. Frankly, political shows, would be far better if they featured more bloggers as guests.
So, if you are tired of politicalese, and talking points, read this blog more, or check out my blogroll, lots of fine blogs are there. Want originality? Want fear-free political discourse and commentary? You are at the right place!

What do I really think of Mike Huckabee?
I have said he is a used car salesman in a better suit. So, here you go, here is what I think of Huckabee

Another Republican who I could support
John Bolton? Not a bad choice at all I would think~!
Another Republican has voiced interest in challenging President Obama for the White House in 2012. John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said Sunday he’s “considering” a run.
“Yes, I am considering it,” Bolton told conservative radio show host Aaron Klein’s on WABC in New York. “If I did run, and I haven’t made a decision, I have never run for office one way or the other, so it would be a pretty big decision to do it.”
Bolton, who serves as a Fox News commentator, said he’s concerned that the national discourse does not include talk of foreign policy.
I really am not familiar with Bolton’s stance on domestic issues, fiscal ideals etc. But I think he is rock solid on foreign policy. And, as I have said before, I think there are several excellent Republicans, no, not YOU Huckaphoney, or YOU NEWT, who would make great presidents.
Oh look kids, the Anti-Christmas assholes are out already!
PC run amok! The newest threat to the very existence of mankind? Red and Green, because they MIGHT, POSSIBLY, offend someone!
Teachers at Heathrow Elementary School have been ordered to banish images of Santa Claus from classrooms — along with traditional Christmas colors like red and green.
“You can’t use red and green,” one outraged parent told WESH. “It’s ridiculous.”
The parent, who serves as a volunteer room mother, said she was recently given a list of guidelines that listed the holiday restrictions.
She said the basic theme of the letter was, “We don’t want to offend anyone who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or the Christian beliefs.”
The Seminole County School Board has a policy that demands employees must be neutral on religious issues. Schools are not allowed to observe or promote holidays as religious events.
The school district says they celebrate the season with a winter theme.
WEll, what if Winter offends someone? Maybe they are always sick in colder months? What of their delicate sensitivities? Here is the deal folks, the vast majority of Americans celebrate CHRISTMAS, yes, I said CHRISTMAS! Folks who do not celebrate it have to DEAL with that fact! They have no right to demand everyone else bend over backwards to appease them. NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER!
