*VIDEO* Reforming Our Universities: The Campaign For An Academic Bill Of Rights
David Horowitz argues that America’s colleges and universities are more interested in promoting leftist ideologies than teaching students and allowing a forum for dissenting voices. Mr. Horowitz presents his Academic Bill of Rights that he contends will protect students who do not wish to partake in what he believes is a university system populated by leftist professors. Mr. Horowitz is president of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and is the author of numerous books including One-Party Classroom and Indoctrination U.
Jindal in 2012?
I have to say, I like Jindal, a lot, and here are some videos from him, and a GREAT QUOTE! Via The BlogProf!
“We used to pay farmers not to grow crops, let’s pay congressmen to stay out of Washington, D.C.,” Jindal said in an interview with Human Events. “Mark Twain said that our liberty, our wallets were safest when the legislature’s not in session.”
Jindal, himself a former congressman, said once elected, many lawmakers become entrenched in Washington and become the very people they once campaigned against.
“Make them part-time, give them term limits,” Jindal said. “Don’t let them become lobbyists. When they have to live under the same rules and laws they pass for the rest of us, maybe you’d see some more common sense coming out of Washington, D.C.”
Amen to that! This is a good, solid message that we need to hear from our next president, whoever that is! I believe we are seeing the development of a very good Republican slate of candidates. Not all will run in 2012, but any of these are FAR better than President Obama! And NO, I do not include Huckaphoney, who is, as I have said before, a used car salesman in a better suit!
Mitt Romney, Sarah Plain, Jim DeMint, Mike Pence, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, to name a few.
And be sure to scope the videos at the link!
EVERY TIME!
Every time I get into doing this blog, something distracts me. I love Theo Spark, and there is a ton of great stuff over there, but, man, the DISTRACTIONS! Like this video
And then, THIS! Tell me how am I supposed to concentrate!

FDR considered
Col. Bunny at The Reb, weighs in on the Red side of FDR, a man I consider to be one of the worst presidents in American history for the damage his social programs did, and continue to do. And YES, read the whole post!
I do not believe in Communism any more than you do, but there is nothing wrong with the Communists in this country. Several of the best friends I have are Communists.[1]
~ Franklin Delano Roosevelt to Rep. Martin Dies (1940).
After quoting the above, William Grigg writes of the FDR Administration’s obstruction of Dies’ efforts “to expose Communist espionage, sabotage, and infiltration of government, academe, the defense industry, and unions,” the press attack on Dies, the IRS’s spurious audit of Dies, and an attempt to bribe Dies with an offer of the vice presidency. FDR also succeeded in getting author John T. Flynn blacklisted by the publishing industry and “relentlessly smeared” Charles Lindbergh as a Nazi sympathizer. His administration also made use of the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee who acted as private spies against groups that were isolationist and patriotic but not anti-Jewish.[2]
People today who obsess about what’s supposedly done in the name of the Patriot Act should read about Roosevelt’s attacks on his critics and those who displeased him. As with a lot of other things we are beginning to look at with fresh eyes, Roosevelt doesn’t come out smelling that pretty. Give me the relatively toothless Patriot Act any day.
A lot of this is news to me given how little I’ve read of the 1930s and wartime America on the home front. I had an uncle who turned beet red when he described FDR as a “traitor to his class.” He and his generation were a lot closer to these facts about him and, anyway, I soon was to become more fixated by the military aspects of WWII and Korea and my own later part in the Vietnam War. After that, the Cold War was something that kept me and a lot of other people looking hard at the Soviet and Chinese threats, my own perspective having been radically changed by reading The Gulag Archipelago, let it be said in passing.
Yep, that is it, enough is enough!
An update on me! I have posted a few times recently about a friend, of mine who was not speaking to me. I have grown to love her like a daughter, and we were close friends once, very recently in fact. However, after trying repeatedly to get her to talk, and tell me what was wrong, why she is upset, and reaching out to her, and trying …to patch things up, something became very clear today.
She would rather hurt me, than talk with me, and sadly, that is not someone I want in my life. This has broken my heart and devastated me frankly, but, what else can I do. If my love, and friendship is not enough, then I can do no more.
What is it about Muslim men and child rape?
Weasel Zippers notices a disturbing trend
(UK) I don’t know why, but for some strange reason, Muslims in the UK seem to have a penchant for having sex with under-age girls. Not only that, but to get these prepubescent children to do tricks these pious followers of Islam have no problem in furnishing the objects of their desire with drugs, alcohol and, of course, their undivided attention. Attention, I should add, if warranted towards good Islamic girls who cover up, would ensure their untimely discharge from this plane of reality.
Unfortunately for Allah’s little paedophiles, having sex with girls as young as 12 is classed as paedophilic rape in the UK, and which is why 9 men (with ages ranging from 24 to 38) today were given custodial sentences. Which is how Abid Mohammed Saddique, 27, Mohammed Romaan Liaqat, 28 and Mohammed Imran Rehman, 26, along with 5 others were jailed today.
Criminals are criminals, no matter their faith, color, or whatever, and of course most Muslims do not rape children. But, as is pointed out by
*VIDEO* Woman Forced By TSA To Remove Nipple Rings With Pliers
The Parable Of The Shot TV
Did you know that if you voted for Bristol Palin on Dancing With the Stars, you helped to improve the economy?
It’s true.
As she progressed week after week in the contest, people became further and further incensed at her. Enough to where one Steven Cowan picked up his gun and shot his TV.
You might think that he might be a little off his rocker. He may have misread his medication as “6 pills every 2 hours” instead of the other way around. He may have thought that it would have impressed Brook Burke. Who knows?
But here’s what I think happened. He was looking to stimulate the economy.
Really.
He went Elvis on the TV and ended up in a 15 hour stand off with the police. The police do not work for free. They’ll be getting extra pay in their checks for the overtime and hazard duty*. Then there is the cost for the courts and lawyers. Those attorneys need someway to pay for the big ad on the back of the phone book.
Not to mention that Cowan’s wife will buy a new TV. She’ll have more disposable income as well because she won’t be supporting his TV viewing habits. . . His diet of Natty Light. . . His PPV bill. . . This is the proverbial finding a dollar in the gutter for her. Maybe she can now afford a divorce attorney?
All because you voted for Bristol, the economy was stimulated.
With any luck, she will win. That means more TVs will be shot and more stimulus for the economy.
*Not sure if police get hazard pay or not. But it sounded good for the posting so I left it in.

Well, now, that was not bad at all
I believe that I predicted that the GOP would gain 65 seats in the House, and well, they gained 63. Not bad! Consider that three seats are still undecided…..
Down goes another far left progressive liberal Marxist! Ann Marie Buerkle is officially the winner of New York’s 25th congressional district as far left crank Dan Maffei has finally conceded! This district, once considered safe for Democrats, and even rated as “Leans Dem” by Real Clear Politics on election night is yet another slap in the face of the far left loons who continue their power grab in America. Oh, and Buerkle was also endorsed by Sarah Palin too. All those left-wing media hacks who thought this would hurt Buerkle even more in a district like this have gotten their own slap in the face. The official win of this seat now puts the GOP at a 63 seat gain in the 2010 midterm elections, with about three seats still undecided
Not that I am bragging of course!
Tragic idiocy, PC, and the TSA!
Great post at Doug Ross! There is a lot to read there, and please go do so, but this bit of common sense struck me. Why can’t our “leaders” think this clearly?
Here’s a really tough question: what prevents the TSA from simply pre-screening the vast majority of American airline passengers who represent no threat whatsoever?
• The family of four traveling to Orlando for their sixth vacation in six years?
• The frequent flier who has 100 segments piled up over the last 18 months?
• The DOD contractor with a Top Secret security clearance?
• The grandparents who fly to Florida each fall and back to Michigan every spring?
• The 18 cheerleaders flying to San Antonio for a competition? The list goes on and on. These are the same big government addicts who want to control your physical well-being and ration health care using a vast database of electronic health records and a panel of advisers who recommend treatments.
Yet they can’t figure out that Joe Fubar is a cleared defense contractor working on the F-22 Raptor. Or that Mrs. Beasley is headed to Phoenix for the 12th year in a row to visit her best friend.
So they end up giving each air traveler the colonoscopy they will routinely deny to seniors because of the “Complete Lives” formula. These Democrats are a freaking joke. A sad joke, to be sure, but a joke all the same.
How true that is. How sad that bureaucrats always seem so inept at pretty much everything they attempt to do.
Penn & Teller expose the climate change hoax!
Love their show Bullshit, and this one is a classic!

North Korea fires on South Korea
The North is testing our president’s resolve here, what will Obama do? Will. he be strong, or vacillating in his response. I hold no real hope that he is capable of taking a tough stance, none at all. But, time will tell. Donald Douglas agrees with my take
WSJ, “North Korea Aggression Sets Major Test for President Obama“:
When America wakes up this morning the world will look to Washington and weigh President Obama’s words. For all China’s growing power, and its status as North Korea’s principal supporter, in an international crisis the U.S. president is still in the hot seat. The situation demands a clear-throated response and a robust commitment to support South Korea that the North Korean government and the Chinese hear properly. The alternative, a load of waffling, won’t be taken seriously by the aggressor.
Well, I’m not holding my breath.
Sadly, he is right I fear. Obama just does not have the testicles.
The TSA Versus Your Balls
I’m not a politician, although some of my friends have told me I should consider running for public office. That will never happen though, primarily because I’m not wealthy, and secondarily because I’m not mentally impaired. Of course, if I should ever win the lottery and then sustain a blunt force head trauma, Senator Susan Collins just might have an electoral fight on her hands.
That having been said, if I were a politician today, I’d be spending all my time speaking out against the so called “enhanced” pat-downs that they’re undertaking at American airports of late.
When I first heard the term ‘enhanced pat-down’, I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant. Initially I had envisioned something on par with the sort of physical contact one might expect if one were ever to meet an overly enthusiastic daytime television starlet at an Emmy awards ceremony; gropey and embarrassing, but not technically felonious in nature.
Once I found out what the Transportation Security Administration actually meant by “enhanced”, it occurred to me that the only time in my life I’d ever allowed a total stranger to touch me in such an intimate fashion, it cost me $60 in advance, and afterward I couldn’t find my watch.
In my opinion, one of the more disquieting aspects of these enhanced friskings is that they don’t even include “happy endings”, at least not in any appreciable sense of the term. I mean, if I wanted to be teased for no good reason, I’d call one of those adult 900 numbers for $4.99 a minute and then hang up before the charges reached ten bucks.
Worst of all, everyone at the tippy-top of the very government that is forcing this appalling diddle-fest on the rest of us, will likely never have to feel the cold, clammy hands of federal fascism upon their elitist jiggly parts unless, of course, they dig that sort of thing.
What I want to know is why our good friends and champions of liberty at the American Civil Liberties Union aren’t frothing at the mouth over these clear abuses of our personal privacy, at least to the degree that they were when they found out that George W. Bush wanted to treat non-uniformed enemy combatants differently than the kid who stole my ceramic lawn trolls last spring. If they are, I haven’t noticed it.
Heck, even the National Center for Transgender Equality now has a page on its official website dedicated to the subject of air travel and TSA regulations, and if anyone asks me how I know that little tidbit of information, I swear I’m gonna punch them right in face.
Suffice it to say that I have my sources, and as soon as I became aware of the fact that the NCTE was informing its membership of the current state of TSA affairs, certain questions began leaping to my mind. Among them were: what if a man who is in the process of becoming a woman is patted down by a TSA agent, and the agent discovers that the “woman” has something dangling from “her” groin area? Can an unexpected penis be considered a concealed weapon? Beyond that, are two TSA agents needed for the task of frisking a pre-op tranny – a female agent for the top parts and a male for the bottom – or do we have to start hiring transgender airport security officers now? Oh, and if a transexual airline passenger is a burqa-clad Muslim, will he/she be exempted from the pat-down process entirely, or will only half of him/her get a pass?
And speaking of Muslims, I met one just the other day at the checkout counter of my local supermarket. I noticed that she was buying nothing but fruits and vegetables, and asked her if she was a vegetarian. She informed me that she was, and upon hearing that I remarked: so, I guess that makes yours a true religion of peas. At that point she declared a fatwa on my family.
But I digress.
Perhaps the ACLU actually is up in arms over this whole TSA screening business, and I’m just a clueless hack with no real journalistic credibility… wait…
Still, I read up on these sorts of things regularly… okay, maybe not “regularly” but certainly as often as the editor of the New York Times does. And even though his may not be the highest fact-finding standard to which my own may be compared, at least I’m not asking for a government bailout to support my journalistic endeavors.
Now, where was I?
Oh yes, I was talking about the seeming outrage deficiency of the ACLU concerning the invasive and obviously unconstitutional passenger screening procedures of the Transportation Security Administration. And as disappointing as that state of affairs might be, it pales in comparison to the complete lack of righteous indignation exhibited by the average American citizen in this regard.
I don’t know what you ladies think about all this, but if you ask me, any adult male who would allow him self to be fondled by some high school dropout with a badge in front of dozens of gawking airline passengers, deserves the beating that he should have given his federally-sanctioned fondler as soon as the family jewels became the object of an unwelcomed jangling.
Congressman Barney Frank may consider that sort of behavior to be conducive with just another Saturday night out with the boys, but to heterosexual men like myself, having our genitals examined by other guys is something we only expect to experience in a doctor’s office, or if we’re ever arrested and thrown into county lock-up with several tattoo-embellished gang members.
And what’s the deal with those TSA zombies feeling up our pre-pubescent children? If you’re willing to sit idly by and watch as your 10-year-old daughter is molested by someone who – for all you know – gets off on “screening” little girls, then congratulations, you’ve just joined the ranks of the pathetic American sheeple class.
I would say that modern American males are sorely lacking in balls, but ever since I saw those full-body scan images posted on the internet, I know that’s simply not true. Then again, maybe the men (if you can still call them that) of this great country have traded in their forefathers’ brass cojones for happy-sacks full of cowardly compliance and a pair of shriveled, government-approved chickpeas.
By any means, at times like these it’s relevant to ask the question: what would General George S. Patton do? And while I cannot speak for the man in the sort of overreaching, faux-authoritative way that Harvard professors do about the “brilliant economic policies” of FDR, I do know one thing about “old blood and guts”. That thing is that he never, EVER would have allowed his “junk” to be grabbed – or even discussed in public – by the likes of your average TSA agent.
And if that concept doesn’t induce you to perform remarkable acts of civil disobedience the next time you attempt to board a commercial airplane, then you’re as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle.
