Since September, they’ve blogged about their expected child at birthornot.com, posting health updates about the mother and the fetus (which will be 17 weeks-old tomorrow), and ultrasound pictures and video. But at the top of the blog is a poll hosted by PollDaddy.com. The question: “Should We Give Birth or Have an Abortion?” “Give Birth” has 46 percent of the vote at the moment, with “Have an Abortion” at 54 percent. The poll closes on December 7th.

Napolitano: The Ball’s In My Court Now – Ann Coulter

After the 9/11 attacks, when 19 Muslim terrorists – 15 from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates and one each from Egypt and Lebanon, 14 with “al” in their names – took over commercial aircraft with box-cutters, the government banned sharp objects from planes.

Airport security began confiscating little old ladies’ knitting needles and breaking the mouse-sized nail files off of passengers’ nail clippers. Surprisingly, no decrease in the number of hijacking attempts by little old ladies and manicurists was noted.

After another Muslim terrorist, Richard Reid, AKA Tariq Raja, AKA Abdel Rahim, AKA Abdul Raheem, AKA Abu Ibrahim, AKA Sammy Cohen (which was only his eHarmony alias), tried to blow up a commercial aircraft with explosive-laden sneakers, the government prohibited more than 3 ounces of liquid from being carried on airplanes.

All passengers were required to take off their shoes for special security screening, which did not thwart a single terrorist attack, but made airport security checkpoints a lot smellier.

After Muslim terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab of Nigeria tried to detonate explosive material in his underwear over Detroit last Christmas, the government began requiring nude body scans at airports.

The machines, which cannot detect chemicals or plastic, would not have caught the diaper bomber. So, again, no hijackers were stopped, but being able to see passengers in the nude boosted the morale of airport security personnel by 22 percent.

After explosives were inserted in two ink cartridges and placed on a plane headed to the United States from the Muslim nation of Yemen, the government banned printer cartridges from all domestic flights, resulting in no improvement in airport security, while requiring ink cartridges who traveled to take Amtrak.

So when the next Muslim terrorist, probably named Abdul Ahmed al Shehri, places explosives in his anal cavity, what is the government going to require then? (If you’re looking for a good investment opportunity, might I suggest rubber gloves?)

Last year, a Muslim attempting to murder Prince Mohammed bin Nayef of Saudi Arabia blew himself up with a bomb stuck up his anus. Fortunately, this didn’t happen near an airport, or Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano would now be requiring full body cavity searches to fly.

You can’t stop a terrorist attack by searching for the explosives any more than you can stop crime by taking away everyone’s guns.

In the 1970s, liberal ideas on crime swept the country. Gun owners were treated like criminals while actual criminals were coddled and released. If only we treated criminals with dignity and respect and showed them the system was fair, liberals told us, criminals would reward us with good behavior.

As is now well known, crime exploded in the ’70s. It took decades of conservative law-and-order policies to get crime back to near-1950s levels.

It’s similarly pointless to treat all Americans as if they’re potential terrorists while trying to find and confiscate anything that could be used as a weapon. We can’t search all passengers for explosives because Muslims stick explosives up their anuses. (Talk about jobs Americans just won’t do.)

You have to search for the terrorists.

Fortunately, that’s the one advantage we have in this war. In a lucky stroke, all the terrorists are swarthy, foreign-born, Muslim males. (Think: “Guys Madonna would date.”)

This would give us a major leg up – if only the country weren’t insane.

Is there any question that we’d be looking for Swedes if the 9/11 terrorists, the shoe bomber, the diaper bomber and the printer cartridge bomber had all been Swedish? If the Irish Republican Army were bombing our planes, wouldn’t we be looking for people with Irish surnames and an Irish appearance?

Only because the terrorists are Muslims do we pretend not to notice who keeps trying to blow up our planes.

It would be harder to find Swedes or Irish boarding commercial airliners in the U.S. than Muslims. Swarthy foreigners stand out like a sore thumb in an airport. The American domestic flying population is remarkably homogenous. An airport is not a Sears department store.

Only about a third of all Americans flew even once in the last year, and only 7 percent took more than four round trips. The majority of airline passengers are middle-aged, middle-class, white businessmen with about a million frequent flier miles. I’d wager that more than 90 percent of domestic air travelers were born in the U.S.

If the government did nothing more than have a five-minute conversation with the one passenger per flight born outside the U.S., you’d need 90 percent fewer Transportation Security Administration agents and airlines would be far safer than they are now.

Instead, Napolitano just keeps ordering more invasive searches of all passengers, without exception – except members of Congress and government officials, who get VIP treatment, so they never know what she’s doing to the rest of us.

Two weeks ago, Napolitano ordered TSA agents to start groping women’s breasts and all passengers’ genitalia – children, nuns and rape victims, everyone except government officials and members of Congress. (Which is weird because Dennis Kucinich would like it.)

“Please have your genitalia out and ready to be fondled when you approach the security checkpoint.”

This is the punishment for refusing the nude body scan for passengers who don’t want to appear nude on live video or are worried about the skin cancer risk of the machines – risks acknowledged by the very Johns Hopkins study touted by the government.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that we need to keep the government as far away from airport security as possible, and not only because Janet Napolitano did her graduate work in North Korea.

Obama Caves On Civilian Trial For KSM – Andrew C. McCarthy

Let’s review the state of play, shall we? Throughout the 2008 presidential campaign, candidate Barack Obama blasted the Bush administration’s decision to treat al-Qaeda terrorists as enemy combatants and detain them without trial at Guantanamo Bay.

Now, two years into his presidency, Obama has decided to treat al-Qaeda terrorists as enemy combatants and detain them without trial at Guantanamo Bay. The media is reporting that the administration will hold Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other 9/11 plotter indefinitely, granting them neither a civilian nor a military trial.

How To Control Congress – Walter Williams

Let’s assume that each of our 535 congressmen cares about the destructive impact of deficits and debt on the future of our country. Regardless of party, congressmen face enormous lobbying pressures and awards to spend more and little or no pressure and awards to spend less.

The nation’s founders would be horrified by today’s congressional spending that consumes 25 percent of our GDP. Contrast that to the years 1787 to the 1920s when federal government spending never exceeded 4 percent of our GDP except in wartime. Today, federal, state and local government consumes 43 percent of what Americans produce each year.

Natural Is Not Always Better – John Stossel

It’s not what we don’t know that causes us trouble. It’s what we know that isn’t so. Whichever famous writer said that (it’s been attributed to many), what he said carries truth. What are some of the things we know that aren’t so? Here’s one: Grass-fed “free-range” beef cattle are better for the environment – and for you – than factory-farmed corn-fed cattle.

It does seem to make sense that the steer raised in the more “natural” environment would be better for the world. Michael Pollan, the prolific food author and activist, wrote in The New York Times that “what was once a solar-powered ruminant (grass-fed steer) (has been turned) into the very last thing we need: another fossil-fuel machine.” How so?

End Deficit Reduction Commissions – Thomas Sowell

Another deficit-reduction commission has now made its recommendations. My own recommendation for dealing with deficits would include stopping the appointment of deficit-reduction commissions. It is not the amount of money that these commissions cost that is the issue. It is the escape hatch that they provide for big-spending politicians.

Do you go ahead and spend the rent money and the food money – and then ask somebody else to tell you how to escape the consequences? If President Obama or the Congress were serious about keeping the deficit down, they could have had this commission’s recommendations before they spent hundreds of billions of dollars, handing out goodies hither and yon to their pet constituencies.

Where’s My ObamaCare Waiver? – Michelle Malkin

More than one million Americans have escaped the clutches of the Democrats’ destructive federal health care law. Lucky them. Their employers and labor representatives wisely applied for Obamacare waivers earlier this fall and got out while the getting was good.

Now, it’s time for Congress to create a permanent escape hatch for the rest of us. Repeal is the ultimate waiver. As you’ll recall, President Obama promised repeatedly that if Americans liked their health insurance plan, they could keep it. “Nobody is talking about taking that away from you,” the cajoler-in-chief assured.

Millions of us shuffle around, sighing that most of what we hear pounded into our brains is either banal or as untrue as it is dangerous to identify it as such. So we ignore it, we the dead souls who live in the world of unmentionable thoughts.

Here is a daily inanity: “The great majority of Muslims are moderates,” and its ancillary “Only a tiny percentage of Muslims are terrorists.” Both are true, but they have value as admonishments only if there were a widespread Western effort to demonize Islam and persecute Muslims, or we knew that mass destruction required millions of conventional troops. But neither is true.

Bomb Case Blows Up In Feds’ Face – New York Post

In a stunning setback to President Obama’s approach to trying terrorism suspects, the first Guantanamo detainee to be prosecuted in civilian court nearly walked free when a jury found him not guilty on all but one of 285 terror-related counts yesterday.

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, a Tanzanian, beat weighty charges such as conspiracy to kill US nationals and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction in the 1998 attacks on US embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which claimed 224 lives.

He was convicted only on Count 5, a minor charge of conspiracy to damage or destroy US property with explosives.

But that count includes a subsection that asks jurors if the defendant’s conduct caused death of persons other than his co-conspirators – and the jury said “yes.”

That lone guilty verdict is enough to send the terrorist to jail for at least 20 years under federal sentencing guidelines, and maybe for the rest of his life.

Ghailani, 36, smiled during the eight minutes it took to read all the charges.

“We respect the jury’s verdict and are pleased that Ahmed Ghailani now faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a potential life sentence,” the Justice Department said in a statement.

The failure to pin more serious convictions on Ghailani is likely to be seen as a setback for Obama’s plans to close Guantanamo and try 174 terrorism suspects in civilian courts.

The detainees at Guantanamo include Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks.

While the feds obtained a conviction, it was not on the more serious charges they needed to set a precedent for future prosecutions.

The major problem was prosecutors’ inability to establish how much Ghailani knew about the attacks or his involvement in the bombings.

Defense attorneys were elated at the jury’s conclusion, and said they plan to appeal the single conviction.

“This verdict is a reaffirmation that this nation’s judicial system is the greatest ever devised. It is truly a system of laws and not men,” said defense lawyer Peter Quijano.

Ghailani was transferred from Guantanamo Bay to New York in June 2009.

Following several tense days of deliberations, prosecutors were lucky to get even the one conviction, after seeing their case nearly implode in a mistrial.

The panel, which deliberated for a week, reached its decision two days after one juror asked to be excused, saying she was being “attacked” for her dissenting opinion.

But the jurors went back to work and reached the single unanimous verdict.

“You have reason to feel proud,” said Judge Lewis Kaplan. “You have all done your duty. Our nation is a better place. I and everyone else have been struck by the way you did your duty. You reviewed the evidence with great care.”

The government accused Ghailani of buying seven gas cylinders used in the bombs and the truck used to transport them.

Raw foods! Simply unbelievable! EITHER WE ARE FREE OR WE ARE NOT!

Raw milk raids are happening all over the United States. The Food and Drug Administration warns that raw milk consumption can cause health problems, but a growing community of raw foods enthusiasts are ignoring government recommendations and claiming that they are getting tastier, more nutritious food by going raw.

Reason.tv visited Rawesome to examine the circumstances of the raid and discovered that this particular raw foods case stretches across county lines and involves at least five separate government agencies, despite the fact that not a single member of Rawesome has complained or been harmed by the raw foods. In fact, members have to sign a contract stating that they understand and accept the risks of consuming raw foods before they are allowed to step inside.

If members of a private club sign a waiver stating that they want to drink a certain type of milk, why is the government getting involved? As Jarel Winterhawk, a manager at Rawesome, puts it, “This is America. How are you going to tell me what I can and cannot eat?”

This is very simple. We have, as a nation, sadly accepted a premise that the government has a right to protect us from ourselves. This is where acceptance of such a premise leads. Once you allow government to control things about your personal life they have no right to control, the flood gates of tyranny open!

The only casualty: The man’s television.

Dane County prosecutors have charged Steven N. Cowan with second-degree reckless endangerment in the incident that made his wife worry that he would shoot her, according to a criminal complaint.[...]

As Bristol Palin danced on the screen, Cowan raged.

“The (expletive) politics,” he yelled, according to the complaint. Cowan, a Town of Vermont supervisor, was upset that a political figure’s daughter was on the show when he didn’t consider her a good dancer, his wife told authorities.[...]

Protesters In Haiti Attack UN Peacekeepers In Cholera Backlash – The Guardian

Protesters in Haiti have attacked UN peacekeepers over a suspicion that Nepalese soldiers brought the cholera epidemic which has swept the country and killed 1,000 people.

Crowds in two northern towns hurled rocks, set up burning barricades and blocked roads to protest against the foreign troops and the government’s response to the crisis, rattling authorities and the UN in the runup to a 28 November election.

Cap-Haitien, the country’s second city, was this morning cut off from the rest of Haiti after a day of rioting shut its roads and airport and left more than a dozen people wounded. Clashes in the town of Hinche injured seven Nepalese peacekeepers, according to local radio.

The flare-ups followed mounting anger and fear over a disease which many blame on effluent from a base used by Nepalese troops in the Artibonite valley, where the outbreak began three weeks ago.

The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention found that the strain, which has infected more than 15,000 people and reached all 10 departments, resembled one from south Asia. Haiti’s first epidemic in living memory began in the valley a week after the Nepalese arrived.

UN officials have admitted problems with the base’s sanitation but denied its soldiers brought the disease, which is spread by contaminated faeces. No official investigation into the epidemic’s origin has been launched despite appeals from Haitian leaders and foreign epidemiologists.

“In Haiti most of the population believes it came from the Nepalese and that the UN will do its best to hide it,” said Prospery Raymond, country director of the UK-based NGO Christian Aid. “If it is confirmed to be from them this will be damaging for the UN and their peacekeeping all over the world.”

The outbreak has flooded clinics and hospitals with vomiting, diarrhea-stricken patients. Experts say more than 200,000 could become infected in coming months.

With no previous knowlege of cholera many Haitians are unsure how to avoid contagion. Experts say washing hands with soap, especially after going to the toilet, is the best prevention. Treatment – usually an IV drip and rehydration – is relatively simple and fast and saves the vast majority of those infected.

Even so, emergency teams are worried. “If it keeps accelerating we will not be able to keep up,” said Francois Servranckx, spokesperson for Doctors Without Borders, a non-governmental organisation which has treated 10,000 patients at improvised tent clinics.

Donors credit the UN peacekeeping force, known as Minustah, with keeping the Caribbean nation relatively stable in recent years despite food price riots, hurricanes and January’s earthquake. Many Haitians however brand the blue helmets an expensive and useless occupation force.

Haitians are also critical of their government for letting the disease spread from the Artibonite valley to cities where millions live in slums, rubble and tents. “Now it’s here and they’re wringing their hands. Not good enough!” said Alfred Roberts, a father of two in the capital Port-au-Prince.

The outbreak has put a question mark over whether presidential and legislative elections, already troubled by logistical and political problems, will go ahead on schedule later this month.

Awesome!

TSA goes after man who dared defy their ultimate autority!

This story has everyone talking, and rightfully so. John Tyner refused to go through the “nude body scanner” and refused to go through a “groin check” and now, is being targeted by the TSA for leaving the security area.

Michael J. Aguilar, chief of the TSA office in San Diego, called a press conference at the airport Monday afternoon to announce the probe. The investigation could lead to prosecution and “civil penalties” of up to $11,000, he said.

TSA agents told John Tyner on Saturday that he could be fined up to $10,000.

“That’s the old fine,” said Aguilar. “It has been increased.”

Penalties for what?

“The requirement for all the passengers is that once they enter the screening area and submit themselves to the screening process, to complete the screening,” said Aguilar. “This passenger took exception.”

At question is how far the TSA can intrude upon our persons to allow us to board an airliner, and if the invasive body checks, and nude scanners are a threat to our liberties. And of course, who knows where the images of our naked bodies will end up? Certainly, one could easily see how images of a famous person might bring a healthy price tag.

One way or another this story will end up changing the manner in which Americans are screened at airports. Here is a roundup of what other bloggers are saying and reporting.

Donald Douglas has some updates and a video of Tyner on Fox News

Clifton asks the obvious question about payback. And sees a unlikely union joining forces to fight this battle.

Tyner was given a choice, submit to a search he found offensive or not fly.  He chose the latter and now they are going to investigate him for making that choice?  I don’t understand how he could have left without permission when he was escorted out by security.  I think TSA is looking to make an example out of Tyner so that no one else thinks to stand up for themselves. The whole thing reeks of Big Brother throwing its weight around.
I must say, the left was correct on this issue.  You will recall back in the days shortly after 9/11 many on the left squawked about trading rights for higher security.  Meanwhile many of us on the right were willing to make the trade.  Ten years later as TSA starts to push its weight around, we are starting to see the light.  Perhaps now that the left and right are on the same page, we can come together to demand the effective security we all deserve.
Bluegrass Pundit wonders if the TSA would be worse if they went the union route. One guess as to how he answers his own question
As if Americans didn’t have enough complaints about the TSA, the Federal Labor Relations Authority has decided they can unionize. Instead of letting them unionize, we need to fire them all and disband the TSA.

The Washington Post reported:

In a significant victory for federal employee unions, the Federal Labor Relations Authority decided Friday that Transportation Security Administration staffers will be allowed to vote on union representation. The decision clears the way for a campaign by the government’s two largest labor organizations, the American Federation of Government Employees and the National Treasury Employees Union, to represent some 50,000 transportation security officers.

Cubachi, shares some news that might offer a solution, airports, can, but will they choose to opt-out?

The TSA screenings and pat downs have become the biggest topic of conversation across the country. Even in Europe, the Germans are upset about this and are demonstrating their frustration with these invasive searches by protesting in “flesh mobs” in German airports. All of us are aware of the invasion of privacy and incredibly uncomfortable nature of these pat downs, not to mention the amount of radiation these screenings produce. Just today, news came out of 100 naked body scan pictures were leaked online.

However, did you know that local airports can opt out of TSA screeners at checkpoints?

Byron York has more:

The 2001 law creating the TSA gave airports the right to opt out of the TSA program in favor of private screeners after a two-year period. Now, with the TSA engulfed in controversy and hated by millions of weary and sometimes humiliated travelers, Rep. John Mica, the Republican who will soon be chairman of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, is reminding airports that they have a choice.

Mica, one of the authors of the original TSA bill, has recently written to the heads of more than 150 airports nationwide suggesting they opt out of TSA screening. “When the TSA was established, it was never envisioned that it would become a huge, unwieldy bureaucracy which was soon to grow to 67,000 employees,” Mica writes. “As TSA has grown larger, more impersonal, and administratively top-heavy, I believe it is important that airports across the country consider utilizing the opt-out provision provided by law.”

Of course,a s we all know, and as Doug Powers points out, we are so obsessed with NOT PROFILING,that accosting toddlers is OK. Jim Hoft points out that the Fourth Amendment has become the latest victim of this perverse fixation on political correctness!

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air looks at what else our Big Brothers are looking into controlling, for our own damned good of course!

Remember, in Hopenchange, everything not expressly permitted will be outlawed.  In an attempt to deal with the supposed epidemic of distracted drivers, especially younger drivers, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced that the Obama administration will review its options in blocking cell phone use in cars:

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said using a cell phone while driving is so dangerous that devices may soon be installed in cars to forcibly stop drivers — and potentially anyone else in the vehicle — from using them.

“There’s a lot of technology out there now that can disable phones and we’re looking at that,” said LaHood on MSNBC. LaHood said the cellphone scramblers were one way, and also stressed the importance of “personal responsibility.”

Moonbattery has news that a “certain religion” might mot have to endure such indinities though. Any guess which faith that is?

Nuns who don’t want to pose naked for sniggering bureaucrats are left with the option of a public groping, but the Muslims who instigate this insanity with their terror attacks can’t be expected to endure such indignities. They’re special, after all.

William Teach asks about the whereabouts of a certain four-letter group?

Leave it to the ACLU to ignore an issue that has Americans, both Left and Right, up in arms. Have you ever noticed that the ACLU tends to ignore the real issues 90% of the time? And the other 10% of the time, they usually do the right thing for the wrong reason(s). Witness the national ACLU

The ACLU said, “[During] the new standard pat-down, a screener of the same sex will examine your head, shirt collar area, and waistband, and may use either the front or back of his or her hands to feel your body, including buttocks, around breasts, and between the legs, feeling up to the top of the thigh. Women in tight skirts that don’t allow an agent to feel the thigh area may be asked to remove the skirt in a private screening area and will be given a gown or towel to put on.”

If you search the ACLU website, there is zip. Nada. Zilch. Nor any complaints from the national ACLU in the news about people getting groped and abused. A few State ACLU chapters have chimed in, but, they don’t seem all that concerned, either.

Jill ponders whether or not these searches are actually useful, or perhaps just a cheap thrill?

Pilots and flight attendants also object, and one pilot has filed suit:

Although he has a libertarian streak, Roberts’ objection to the procedure goes beyond personal privacy and political philosophy. He says the screening just doesn’t work. It doesn’t improve passenger safety or deter terrorism. It’s just another example of the federal government closing the barn door after the horse gets out, and violating the rights of the innocent to make it look like the government is doing something about security.

Roberts notes the progression of this liberty-leeching invasion:

After the shoe-bomber attempt, we had to remove our shoes. After the underpants bomber, we had to be electronically strip searched and groped.

What will happen, he asks, after the first time a terrorist smuggles a bomb on a plane inside his rectum or in a breast implant?

There was a time, not too long ago, when that would have been a comedian’s witty one-liner. Now, it sounds more like the future rushing upon us.

I love this story!

To quote Nelson Muntz… Ha,ha!

Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town Saturday.

Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.

To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.

Euro Under Siege As Now Portugal Hits Panic Button – Montreal Gazette

The euro is facing an unprecedented crisis after another country indicated on Monday night that it was at a “high risk” of requiring an international bail-out.

Portugal became the latest European nation to admit it was on the brink of seeking help from Brussels after Ireland confirmed it had begun preliminary talks over its debt problems.

Greece also disclosed that its economic problems are even worse than previously thought.

Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, raised the spectre of the euro collapsing as she warned: “If the euro fails, then Europe fails.”

European finance ministers will meet in Brussels on Tuesday to begin discussions over a new European stability plan that is expected to result in billions of pounds being offered to Ireland, Portugal and possibly even Spain.

David Cameron said he was thankful that Britain had not joined the euro, but indicated his displeasure that taxpayers in this country face a pounds 7?billion liability in any bail-out package.

The veteran Conservative MP Peter Tapsell warned that the “potential knock-on effect” of the Irish crisis “could pose as great a threat to the world economy as did Lehman Brothers, AIG and Goldman Sachs in September 2008″.

Ireland has resisted growing international pressure to accept EU financial assistance amid concerns that this would lead to a surrender of political and economic sovereignty.

However, the German government is expected to signal that Ireland may have to accept a pounds 77?billion bail-out, along with a loss of economic and political independence, as the price of preserving the euro.

Mrs Merkel said that the single currency was “the glue that holds Europe together”.

Her words came as fellow eurozone members Portugal and Spain rounded on Ireland. They fear that international concerns over the euro will lead to so-called market contagion spreading to them.

Fernando Teixeira dos Santos, the Portuguese finance minister, said: “There is a risk of contagion. The risk is high because we are not facing only a national problem. It is the problems of Greece, Portugal and Ireland. This has to do with the eurozone and the stability of the eurozone, and that is why contagion in this framework is more likely.”

Mr Teixeira dos Santos added: “I would not want to lecture the Irish government on that. I want to believe they will decide to do what is most appropriate together for Ireland and the euro. I want to believe they have the vision to take the right decision.”

He later sought to clarify his comments, insisting that Portugal was not preparing to seek assistance.

Greece had earlier added to the growing uncertainty when it said it would breach the conditions for the bail-out it was granted by the EU earlier in the year. The Greek government said its debt problem was far worse than previous dire forecasts.

California Supreme Court Upholds In-State Tuition For Illegals – Reuters

The California Supreme Court upheld a state law on Monday allowing illegal immigrants who attend high school in California for three years and graduate to pay lower in-state tuition rates at state colleges.

The ruling reverses a lower-court decision siding with opponents of the law who said it unfairly favors illegal aliens over U.S. citizens who live outside California and are charged much higher tuition rates.

Ethics Panel Accepts Case Against Rangel – Financial Times

Charles Rangel, the New York Democratic congressman accused of violating ethics rules, looked likely to face a guilty verdict after a House panel accepted a prosecutor’s case against him on Monday.

The panel retired to deliberate on Mr Rangel’s fate, but analysts said the fact that it had accepted all the evidence presented by the ethics committee’s lawyers meant a guilty finding looked very likely.

Before the midterm election, the open-borders group (funded by Soros, SEIU, and the usual progressive suspects) sent out illegal alien canvassers to drum up Democrat votes in Washington state.

The story isn’t over. My friend and Washington state blogger/watchdog Stefan Sharkansky scoured campaign finance records and found that OAV apparently failed to file as a registered political committee.

The building caved in Monday night. But rescue efforts were slow because ambulances and heavy equipment needed to clear the rubble could not easily navigate the narrow alleys in the congested neighborhood.
