If the Left REALLY hates violent rhetoric so much………..

………..then they ought to clean THEIR house first shouldn’t they?

H/T Bluegrass Pundit

(Washington Examiner)- While Paul Krugman and other liberal commentators continue to exploit this weekend’s tragedy by making hay out of supposedly extreme rhetoric on the right, perhaps they would do well to examine some of the rhetoric that has come from the left. On October 23, The Scranton Times reported that Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pa., said this about Florida’s new Republican Governor Rick Scott:

“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida. He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

Dangerous rhetoric you say? Hmmmm

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
– Barack Obama

“Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is dead to me now.”
– Daily Kos Kook “BoyBlue”

“Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”
– Barack Obama

‘We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us’
– Barack Obama

I mean if the Left REALLY is troubled by “vitriol” they really need to look at themselves

The progressive “climate of hate:” An illustrated primer, 2000-2010

The Tucson massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand.

They need to be reminded. You need to be reminded.

Confront them. Don’t be cowed into silence.

And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right.

They want to play tu quo que in the middle of a nationaltragedy? They asked for it. They got it.

I. PALIN HATE

Flashback — pointing a fake gun at the head of a Sarah Palin likeness sitting next to a cardboard cutout of her daughter in a museum display:

Getty has since yanked the photo, but as one commenter who saw the photo at Getty’s site before it was yanked noted: “To see that image presented as if it were completely normal and purchasable was shocking.”

Flashback — trendy “ABORT Sarah Palin” stickers:

Flashback — Palin-hating artwork designating her an “M.I.L.P.” (Mother I’d Like to Punch). Hat tip: Edge of Forever:

Flashback — Palin Derangement Syndrome mobsters in Philly: “Let’s stone her, old school”

If cross hairs and “targeting” upset them so much, well then, perhaps the Left ought not to engage in such behavior?

If the Left really believes that criticizing your political opponents leads to violence, then maybe they should STOP saying outrageous things?

I mean, folks, if the Left is serious abo0ut believing that rhetoric leads to violence, then shouldn’t they be looking in the proverbial mirror?

[...] Oh dear, is this woman serious? Is she suffering from another, as yet undiagnosed Liberal Malady? Hypersensitivitis perhaps?? If she wishes to say that rhetoric needs “toning down” then perhaps she should start by talking to many of her fellow democrats! [...]
