That exclusive Leftist Inclusion deal can be damned tricky

7 Feb

You see, only be EXCLUDING certain people, based on their gender, religion, heritage,, sexual orientation, or race can we ever truly be INCLUSIVE! Confused? You should be. But just allow Fleece Me explain

What got me thinking about this inclusiveness was an interesting commercial my son was telling me about.  The commercial was for a Black only online dating service.  He thought it was stupid, and I couldn’t agree more.  But it got me thinking on more exclusive groups in our world.

Like the NAACP, La Raza, CAIR, NOW, GLAAD, the Congressional Black Caucus, UNCF, BIG (Blacks in Government), IHRAAM (International Human Rights Association of American Minorities), JAFA (Japan African-American Friendship Association), the National Association of Black Journalists, National Black Child Development Institute, National Urban League, Organization of Black Airline Pilots, Organization of Black Designers, NACOPRW (National Council of Puerto Rican Women), Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Hispanic National Bar Association, ILGA (International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association), National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, etc.

You get the idea right?  All these progressive organizations are based on the concept of excluding people, not including them.  This list is by no means exhaustive, there are 100’s I could have added.  So how come the team that brags about their tolerance and their urge to be inclusive is host to the most exclusive clubs in the world?

Because the ability to exclude is a source of power.  Kids learn this in kindergarten when they start forming their little cliques, and it continues on from their.  But there is one problem in regards to power with excluding people based off race, religion or national heritage – people generally can’t change these things.  The power to exclude is so much more effective if by wielding said power you can make people want to join your group.  As it stands, I ignore black only organizations because I could never make myself black, no matter how hard I desire to be.  But, if the organization allowed anyone to join, assuming you fit their stringent qualifications, then power can most definitely be wielded.

Be sure to read it all!

You nailed it. My middle-schooler was admonished for using the word “ghetto” because a young woman of color took noisy offense, saying she was offended because she lived in a ghetto, which is BS because we have no ghettos in this town. Regardless, the little drama queen got my son in trouble while playing the victim. Mission accomplished.

I explained to my kids to avoid racial discussions at all costs. Aggrieved minorities (which is a very small subset of the overall minority population) own the issue. It’s best to just avoid the whole thing and not fall victim to the histrionic agitprop.

      So sad isn’t it?
