Remember the massive protests in Iran? Our president was silent during those, and was criticized by the Right for that silence. So, now, when protests, largely stirred up by The Muslim Brotherhood began, our president could not wait to jump in and offer encouragement. So, am I loony to ponder why the very different reactions from this president? Would I be nutty to note that he was quick to support protests that may, indeed, help install the Muslim Brotherhood in a leadership role in Egypt? Would I be way off base to also note, again, his silence during the Iran protests against an evil Islamic regime?
HMMMMMMMMMMMM
I don’t believe you’re inferring that The Current Occupant changed his policy – silence at massive protests in certain countries – as a result of the outrage from the Right. He’s certainly never shown an inclination to do anything ELSE We The People might find important.
I’m guessing it’s those involved and their purpose that have changed his policy. And it DOES bother me.
I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. It seemed that many attributed the difference in his response was due to the widespread criticism during the Iran protests, including complaints coming from the left. However, had that been a “non-radical-muslim-regime”, no doubt he would have taken a stand. With Egypt, he gets a do-over, but one with the possibility of results that pleases him.
