Sometimes a news story just makes you want to smile!

But in America, getting shot by a home owner is a distinct possibility, as this man realized when he was caught showering in a home he didn’t own:

The suspect, Timothy James Chapek, was in the bathroom taking a shower when the homeowner returned to the house Monday night, Portland police said in a statement.

Accompanied by two German shepherds, the homeowner asked Chapek what he was doing in the house.

Chapek locked himself in the bathroom and made an emergency call, police said. He said he had broken into the house, the owner had come home, and that he was concerned the owner might have a gun.

Another piece of evidence that concealed carry laws are effective. The gun grabbers will never tell you that the gun is not even fired in the vast majority of defensive gun uses. In this case the gun was not even in existence, but the CHANCE it might be was enough.
