One is the car our government wants us to buy, and one is the car that the government buys for itself.
Can you guess which is which?
You got it America, we’re supposed to suck it up and buy fuel-efficient, “green” cars.
But the Obama Administration wants limousines. Lots and lots of limousines.
A new report from a watchdog group shows that the number of limousines owned by the federal government rose by 73 percent during the first two years of President Obama’s administration. The State Department was the recipient of the most new luxury vehicles.
See, Obama and his administration ARE about being one of the people. As long as “the people” ride in limos of course. I wonder if all those tires on all those Caddies are properly inflated? Hmmmm

I had some updates on my original post, but I wanted to update everyone on what is happening today.
CNN is reporting that Rep. Weiner is refusing to answer the question on why he is not asking for an investigation. More revealing, he is refusing to answer the question whether the lewd picture is of him or not.

As of today, the Capitol police have not been notified by police about the “hacker” that Weiner claims to have hacked into his account. Many leftwing bloggers are attacking the twitterer that retweeted the tweet, Dan Wolfe. Wolfe, for his part, has offered cooperation with any investigation, including access to his computer, but there is no investigation. Weiner clearly has an obligation to prove this was a hacker. He needs to report it to the police and FBI for an investigation to take place to either indict or clear those being accused. Somehow, I don’t think that will happen. But again, if it is proven I am wrong, I will eat crow. All the speculation from both sides mean nothing unless an investigation takes place. Also, Weiner spokesman Dave Arnold has been asked four times whether the photo is of Weiner. He has not responded. Why not just say, “no?”

Update2: More details here. I’d like to point out that I do not believe that the girl who was tweeted the picture has a relationship with Weiner. For some perverted reason, some men like to send pics like this to women who like to receive them. It’s a perv’s way of “flirting.” That’s what I believe this was.
Update3: It looks as if Weiner just wants this to go away. I bet he does. Bottom line, if this was a hacker, as Weiner claimed, and he doesn’t ask for an investigation, then we will know that it was indeed him. Innocent men want the light to shine on truth. Guilty men want it all to go away.
Will the mainstream media let Weiner get away with this the way they certainly wouldn’t if it were a Republican congressmen? Probably. Although I am shocked and grateful that CNN is asking the right questions.
It seems my original feelings about this was spot on.

It’s official. The worst jobs president since the Great Depression is now overseeing the worst housing downturn since the Great Depression.
The New York Times reported:
Housing prices fell in March to their lowest point since the downturn began, erasing the last little bit of recovery from the depths plumbed two years ago, according to data released Tuesday.
The Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index for 20 large cities fell 0.8 percent from February, the eighth drop in a row. Prices are now down 33.1 percent from the July 2006 peak.
“Home prices continue on their downward spiral with no relief in sight,” said David M. Blitzer, chairman of the S.& P. index committee.
Housing is in persistent trouble, industry analysts say, not only because so many people are blocked from the market – being unemployed, in foreclosure or trapped in homes that are worth less than the mortgage – but because even those who are solvent are opting out.
The desire to own your own home, long a bedrock of the American Dream, is fast becoming a casualty of the worst housing downturn since the Great Depression.
That’s not all… The New York Times added this on the grim economic news.
A month ago, when an initial gauge of first-quarter economic growth came in surprisingly weak, many policy makers and economists expected the bad news to prove fleeting. But when revised data were released last week, the growth estimate remained stuck at an annual rate of 1.8 percent, compared with 3.1 percent at the end of last year.
More troubling in the latest figures, consumer spending – the largest component of the economy – was especially slow. Stagnant wages and higher prices for gas and food are squeezing family budgets, while falling home equity hurts consumer confidence. That suggests more bad news to come.
When consumers are constrained, so is hiring, because without customers, employers are hard pressed to retain workers or make new hires. A recent Labor Department report showed a greater-than-expected rise in the number of people claiming jobless benefits even as private-sector economic forecasts are being revised downward – both very bad omens for continued job growth.

Drunk Woman Crashes Car Into House Then Offers To Help Find Children Lost In Debris… For $1,000
Crystal Leija, a 32-year-old Port Richey woman was jailed Saturday after she allegedly became intoxicated, crashed into a family’s home and then offered to search for the couple’s children for $1,000.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, three adults and four children were asleep in their home around 2:00 a.m. when they were awakened by what sounded like an explosion. When they ran towards the sound, they were shocked by to see their house in shambles, and taillights glowing through a haze of smoke.
Investigators say Leija had driven her 1998 Honda Accord completely through the home, destroying a front hall, the living room, the dining room, and a bedroom where two small children, ages 4 and 10, were sleeping. The home-owner’s brother-in-law was sleeping in the living room on an air mattress. He escaped with cuts and scratches on his face and arms from flying debris.
Leija then stumbled out of the car intoxicated. When she realized that the parents could not find two young children who were sleeping in the bedroom, she offered to help find them the children for $1,000.
The victims told Leija to get back into the car and stay put until police arrived. The children were later found amidst the debris, terrified but relatively unharmed. No serious injuries were reported.
Leija also reportedly hit a parked car as she was leaving the Lane Glo bowling alley, where the incident began. She then ran over two fences and two mailboxes before crashing into the home.
Leija was booked into the Pasco County Jail on charges of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury, DUI causing personal injury, DUI causing damage to property or person, and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage. She is being held in lieu of $6,150 bail.

Straight out of Minority Report a new Homeland Security program would subject Americans to pre-crime interrogations and physiological scans to detect people who are intending to commit a terrorist act at sports stadiums, malls, airports and other public places has moved closer to being implemented after the FAST program passed its first round of testing at an undisclosed location in northeast US.
The system uses a computer program that studies physiological indicators of a person, such as heart rate and the steadiness of a person’s gaze, and then uses the data to make a judgment on whether that individual has “malintent”.

This time it is Chucky Schummer!
Republicans need to come up with their own “throw granny off the cliff” ad. They could use an Obama lookalike, for cutting $500 billion from medicare to pay for ObamaCARE. Or they can use Schmuck Charles Schumer who advocated on NBC today (and as usual got a free pass) rationing health care for sick senior citizens. According to CNSNEWS, Schumer proposed a reform that would ration health care for sick seniors by telling doctors the Medicare system would pay them a single flat fee for treating a particular illness as opposed to paying for the specific services needed to treat a particular patient. Aka, a one size fits all system. The system proposed by Schumer would give health-care providers a financial incentive to withhold care from sick seniors because each and every service or treatment they provided would cut into their profit margin–or cause them to lose money. Where’s the media outrage? Oh that’s right. schmucky Schumer is of course a far left Marxist Democrat, so the media has no problem with this.

The Daily Mail reported:A teenage Muslim girl was stoned to death under ‘Sharia law’ after taking part in a beauty contest in Ukraine.
Katya Koren, 19, was found dead in a village in the Crimea region near her home.
Friends said she liked wearing fashionable clothes and had come seventh in a beauty contest. Her battered body was buried in a forest and was found a week after she disappeared.
Police have opened a murder probe and are investigating claims that three Muslim youths killed her claiming her death was justified under Islam.
One of the three – named as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev – is under arrest and told police she had ‘violated the laws of Sharia’.

Church fined for “improper pruning”

The city of Charlotte, N.C., is levying fines on a local church after it says one landscaping parishioner “improperly” pruned the crape myrtle trees of Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church.
The Charlotte Observer has the details (emphasis mine):
The church was fined $100 per branch cut for excessive pruning, bringing the violation to $4,000.
“I just couldn’t believe it when I heard about it,” Sales said. “We trim our trees back every three years all over our property, and this is the first time we have been fined.”
The fine will be dropped if the church replaces each of the improperly pruned trees, said Tom Johnson, senior urban forester for city of Charlotte Land Development Division. “When they are nonrepairable, when they have been pruned beyond repair, we will ask them to be replaced,” Johnson said. “We do that for a number of reasons but mainly because they are going to come back unhealthy and create a dangerous situation down the road.”

Gennette was not the only young attractive woman who made it on Rep. Weiner’s select list. More than 45,000 people followed Rep. Anthony Weiner on twitter. He followed only 198.
