Texas Governor Rick Perry Says He Will Consider White House Run
Texas Governor Rick Perry Says He Will Consider White House Run – The Statesman
Gov. Rick Perry today gave his strongest indication yet that he may run for president.
“I’m going to think about it” after the legislative session ends Monday, Perry said. He added, “But I think about a lot of things.”
For years, Perry has said that he would not run for president and that he had no interest in the job. He has often said that he has said no to the presidential question in as many ways as he could.
But he and his advisers have inched closer to saying he may run all week, following the announcement that Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels would not enter the GOP field. A couple of days ago, he told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News that a run was tempting.
Many conservatives have called on Perry to enter a field which could have room for a social and fiscal conservative with Perry’s energy and charisma. And, intentionally or not, the governor has set himself up for a run over the last couple of years, making a Texas/Washington contrast the focus of his 2010 re-election and writing a book called “Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America From Washington.”
Perry was asked about the presidency during a press conference to hail a voter-identification law that he has signed into law.
The presidential talk began when a reporter asked Perry for his reaction to the fact that the Hispanic Republican Conference of Texas, a group of state legislators, endorsed him for president on Thursday.
“I don’t make a lot of anything dealing with that until we get past the Monday deadline for this legislative session,” Perry said. “That’s our focus. I appreciate everybody’s interest. All of us know that the work at hand is the most important thing we have to do in getting this balanced budget finalized and passing pieces of legislation like this.”

Pantless Perv In Ski Mask Nabbed After Breaking Into Women’s Abodes And Masturbating In Front Of Them
Ryan Ho, a 33-year-old Pennsylvania man has been jailed after he allegedly entered several college dorms naked, and masturbated before his female victims.
According to police, Ho was arrested on a report that a man wearing a ski mask and no pants slipped into a woman’s apartment, assaulted her and then fled the scene.
Investigators say Ho was apprehended a short time later when officers found him crossing through a field in the opposite direction of the crime scene.
Now Ho, who has been dubbed the ‘Penn State Flasher,’ has been charged with 12 additional cases. Most of the cases involve a man who would enter a single woman’s dorm wearing either a ski mask or a surgical mask. He would then drop his pants and then masturbate in front of them.
…………………………….
The victims, most of which were Asian, stated the attacker would remain absolutely silent.
Police say Ho admitted his involvement in each incident, providing specific details about each case. He told investigators that he gained access to the women’s dorms and apartments by waiting until one of them left. He would then slip into the room before the door closed completely.
The case solves a string of like-crimes that began back in August, 2009.
Ho was booked into the Centre County Jail on 15 counts of burglary, 18 counts of criminal trespass, 17 counts of indecent exposure, 4 counts of indecent assault, 4 counts of loitering, 4 counts of prowling, 3 counts of open lewdness, 4 counts of summary harrassment and one count of attempted burglary. His bail has been set at $100,000.

Dem Leader Clyburn Insists He Never Plays Race Card… Except When He Does – Gateway Pundit
Assistant Minority Leader James Clyburn wrote in a letter to a South Carolina newspaper that he abhorred the word ’racism’ and never used it.
“I have always abhorred the word ’racism,’” Clyburn said in the letter. “I never use it. I believe it is a lethal term, and I am offended that my honest responses to a reporter’s clearly designed agenda would be distorted in such a manner.”
Except, of course, when he does use it, like when he attacked Governor Mark Sanford for his racist policies back in 2009.

No wonder Clyburn is in a leadership position.

Mail Carrier Who Defecated In Yard Gets To Keep Job – KOMO
A mail carrier who was caught using a yard as his personal toilet will not be fired.
The incident happened last month at a home in southeast Portland and a neighbor, Don Derfler, captured the man in the act with his camera.
Derfler had been waiting for his babysitter when he saw his mailman acting odd at his neighbor’s house across the street. The postal worker then pulled down his pants and that’s when Derfler began snapping pictures.
.
.
“We trust people like the postal service and meter readers and people of that nature,” Derfler told us when we interviewed him in April. “To come on to our property and to defecate – it’s just wrong.”
The incident was an embarrassment to the post office and the worker was immediately placed on unpaid leave. Now, a decision has been made to keep the worker but he will be transferred to a different route.
A spokesperson said the administrative action was taken based on a postal service investigation but he did not elaborate. He also did not say which route the mail carrier has been assigned to cover.

Westboro BATSHIT Church: “Thank God For 125 Dead In Joplin” – KSPR
The controversial Westboro BATSHIT Church is planning to protest President Obama’s visit to Joplin, Missouri Sunday.
On its website, the church writes, “Thank God for 125 dead in Joplin.” Church members claim Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has attacked them by promoting laws banning them from protesting at soldiers’ funerals.

President Obama is planning to visit the tornado-ravaged city this Sunday. A memorial is also planned that day for the 125 people who lost their lives in the tornado.
Nixon said Wednesday that the community “must come together and seek a higher power’s assistance.” He said it was appropriate the community gather as one on Memorial Day weekend to remember those who have died in the tornado.
The Westboro BATSHIT Church believes tragedies like the tornado are God’s punishment on Americans for accepting homosexuality.

Her Royal Liberal Highness Judge Sumi Strikes Down WI Union Bill Again
Her Royal Liberal Highness Judge Sumi Strikes Down WI Union Bill Again – Gateway Pundit
She’s at it again…
Activist judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order on the Wisconsin Republican union bill in March.

Today she did it again.
Far left activist Judge Maryann Sumi once again struck down the legislative union bill this morning.
The Oshkosh Hub reported:
A Wisconsin judge has struck down a law taking away nearly all collective bargaining rights from most state workers.
Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi ruled Thursday that Republican legislators violated Wisconsin’s open meetings law during the run up to passage. She says that renders the law void.
The law pushed by Gov. Scott Walker takes away all bargaining rights except over base salary for teachers and other public workers.
The decision is not the end of the legal fight. The state Supreme Court has scheduled arguments for June 6 to determine whether it will take the same case.
Lawmakers could also pass the law again in order to nullify open meeting concerns that led to the judge’s ruling Thursday.
As noted previously, Judge Sumi’s son is an AFL-CIO activist.
Saudi Facebook Campaign Calls For Men To Beat Women Drivers
Saudi Facebook Campaign Calls For Men To Beat Women Drivers – Fox News
A campaign on Facebook is calling for Saudi men to beat women who plan to drive cars in a protest next month, AFP reports.
“The Iqal Campaign: June 17 for preventing women from driving” advocates a cord be used to beat women who plan to drive. Women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia.
Some 6,000 people have “liked” the campaign on Facebook.

It was created in response to female activist Manal al-Sharif, who created a page calling for Saudi women to defy the driving ban on June 17.
The Facebook page, called “Teach me how to drive so I can protect myself,” was removed after more than 12,000 people indicated their support. The campaign’s Twitter account also was deactivated.
Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that bans women — both Saudi and foreign — from driving. The prohibition forces families to hire live-in drivers, and those who cannot afford the $300 to $400 a month for a driver must rely on male relatives to drive them to work, school, shopping or the doctor.
The issue is a highly emotional one in the kingdom, where women are also not allowed to vote, or even travel without their husbands’ or fathers’ permission.
About 800 Saudi people have signed a petition urging Saudi King Abdullah to release al-Sherif and to make a clear statement on women’s right to drive.
“We are fed up,” Waleed Aboul Khair, a lawyer and rights activists said. “Be frank,” he said, addressing the country’s rulers. “For the first time in the history of the kingdom, we have hundreds of people calling for the king to be frank.”
“The society has moved. The society is not silent anymore,” Aboul Khair said.
There is no written Saudi law banning women from driving, only fatwas, or religious edicts, by senior clerics that are enforced by police. King Abdullah has promised reforms in the past and has taken some tentative steps to ease restrictions on women. But the Saudi monarchy relies on Wahhabi clerics to give religious legitimacy to its rule and is deeply reluctant to defy their entrenched power.
Fed Gave Banks $80 Billion In Secret Loans… At Rates As Low As 0.01% Interest
Fed Gave Banks $80 Billion In Secret Loans… At Rates As Low As 0.01% Interest – The Blaze
In April, Bloomberg News revealed that foreign banks were the biggest recipients of the Fed’s discount loan program during the height of the financial crisis. And if foreign banks getting emergency cash wasn’t bad enough, Bloomberg has uncovered another absurdity from the recession-era financial markets: it’s now estimated that the Fed dolled out $80 billion in secretive loans to banks, and some locked in interest rates as low as 0.01 percent.

The loan program is called single-tranche open- market operations, or ST OMO. Bloomberg explains what went down:
The $80 billion initiative, called single-tranche open- market operations, or ST OMO, made 28-day loans from March through December 2008, a period in which confidence in global credit markets collapsed after the Sept. 15 bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.
Units of 20 banks were required to bid at auctions for the cash. They paid interest rates as low as 0.01 percent that December, when the Fed’s main lending facility charged 0.5 percent.
Robert A. Eisenbeis, former head of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and now chief monetary economist at Sarasota, Florida-based Cumberland Advisors Inc. told Bloomberg it’s obvious what happened.
“This was a pure subsidy,” he said. “The Fed hasn’t been forthcoming with disclosures overall. Why should this be any different?”
According to Bloomberg, details of the program “weren’t revealed to shareholders, members of Congress or the public.” And it also found that the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul overlooked the program entirely:
Congress overlooked ST OMO when lawmakers required the central bank to publish its emergency lending data last year under the Dodd-Frank law.
“I wasn’t aware of this program until now,” said U.S. Representative Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat who chaired the House Financial Services Committee in 2008 and co- authored the legislation overhauling financial regulation. The law does require the Fed to release details of any open-market operations undertaken after July 2010, after a two-year lag.
Records of the 2008 lending, released in March under court orders, show how the central bank adapted an existing tool for adjusting the U.S. money supply into an emergency source of cash. Zurich-based Credit Suisse borrowed as much as $45 billion, according to bar graphs that appear on 27 of 29,000 pages the central bank provided to media organizations that sued the Fed Board of Governors for public disclosure.
The Fed defends the loans by toeing the government line, mainly claiming that the money given to banks kept the banks above water and secured cash flow for regular Americans.
Jeffrey V. Smith, a spokesman for the New York Fed told Bloomberg that “this program helped alleviate strains in financial markets and support the flow of credit to U.S. households and businesses.”
But John H. Cochrane, a finance professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, says the program was beyond the Fed’s reach.
“The Fed was slamming the pedal to the metal in the lender-of-last-resort category,” he told Bloomberg. “What they did was so far from what we conventionally think of as monetary policy.”

Daily Benefactor News – Supreme Court OKs Arizona’s Business Immigration Law

Supreme Court OKs Arizona’s Business Immigration Law – Washington Times
The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that requires all businesses to check to make sure their employees are in the country legally – upholding a state’s effort to enhance federal immigration laws.
Though the decision does not address Arizona’s other law, which granted police broader powers to check illegal immigrants’ status, it suggested a majority of the court is willing to give states a little room to experiment on immigration issues.
In the 5-3 ruling the majority said that while federal law says the national government can’t make electronic checks of employees’ work-eligibility mandatory, the law does not bar states from doing so. And since Arizona’s law deals with business licensing – an area states are allowed to control – it does not impinge on the federal government.
“Arizona’s procedures simply implement the sanctions that Congress expressly allowed the States to pursue through licensing laws,” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. said in his opinion. “Given that Congress specifically preserved such authority for the States, it stands to reason that Congress did not intend to prevent the States from using appropriate tools to exercise that authority.”
E-Verify has been a controversial tool since Congress first authorized it in 1996, when it was known as the “Basic Pilot Program.” The voluntary program allowed businesses to register with the government and gain access to a database that instantly checks job applicants’ Social Security numbers to make sure they are eligible to work.
In the beginning, illegal-alien-rights advocates complained that it rejected too many eligible workers, but U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which runs R-Verify, has made improvements and brought the erroneous non-confirmation rate down significantly.

Dissenting in the case were leftwing activist Justices Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Elena Kagan did not take part in the case.
Breyer, in his dissent, said allowing states to make rulings based on E-Verify increases the chances for errors, and said the system itself is already too error-prone.
“Either directly or through the uncertainty that it creates, the Arizona statute will impose additional burdens upon lawful employers and consequently lead those employers to erect ever stronger safeguards against the hiring of unauthorized aliens – without counterbalancing protection against unlawful discrimination,” he said.
The ruling is bound to reignite the immigration debate on Capitol Hill.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, Texas Republican, said Thursday he’ll introduce legislation to make E-Verify use mandatory across the country, and praised the court for upholding Arizona’s law.
“Not only is this law constitutional, it is commonsense,” he said. “American jobs should be preserved for Americans and legal workers.”
Obama administration officials have said they support making E-Verify mandatory for national use, but only as part of a total overhaul of the immigration system that would include legalization and new programs to bring in foreign workers.
In the meantime, Arizona has been joined by other states that have made the program’s use mandatory either for all businesses or for certain classes of businesses.
Arizona last year passed another contentious law that gave police more powers to check the identity of illegal immigrants. That law has been blocked by the leftist courts, and Gov. Jan Brewer has said they will appeal those rulings to the Supreme Court.

Noted blogger interviews Christina Hendricks breasts
So, there I was, sitting at my computer, drinking an ice-cold brew, a Tap Room No. 21 Amber Ale, and I started to ponder what in the world Bob Belvedere has been up to. Turns out that Bob snagged an interview with some famous breasts The burning question, apparently was the realness of her, you know…………..
No man who believes in God could think otherwise, my dear.
The lovely lady talked with Linda Das of The London Daily Mail. A highlight:
It was reported this year that there had been a sharp rise in breast augmentation in the UK because British women were longing to look more like Christina, though she says: ‘I hope I’m not encouraging that. If there’s anything to be learned from me it’s that I’m learning to celebrate what I was born with, even though it’s sometimes been inconvenient. Having larger breasts has made it harder for me to shop throughout the years, but I’ve learnt to love it. It’s so bizarre that people are constantly asking if my breasts are real or fake,’ she adds. ‘They’re so obviously real that anyone who’s ever seen or touched a breast would know.’

Bob also critiqued the First Lady’s Hair which, may or may not be real, but it is not as spectacular as Hendricks breasts
