Interesting list here. Thoughts? My take is that putting Favre and Fouts on the list is just stupid, no defense for those calls at all. I do completely agree with Joe Namath being #1 though.
The NFL’s Most Overrated Quarterbacks | Bleache…, posted with vodpod
Nobody is hyping Tony Romo as one of the great QB’s so why is he on the list? I agree that Namath had maybe two great seasons and after that it was nothing but hype. Fouts was a terrific QB who played on a team that did not play defense. You can say the same thing about Dan Marino. The first three Super Bowls that he played in, John Elway was awful (but that was more due to his undersized teams who got beat up on). As for Favre, In big games he threw big interceptions. Eli Manning did not deserve MVP in the Super Bowl, Justin Tuck did. Peyton Manning has one Super Bowl win played against a mediocre Bears team. The difference between Joe Montana and Tom Brady? Montana will get you a game winning TD while Brady will put you in position for a game winning Field Goal. Pardon my ramblings.
Great thoughts, put Marino, or Fouts, or Moon on the 1980′s Niners and they would have numerous rings
Joe Namath *overrated*??? Coming from the same guys who said my boys wouldn’t make the playouffs last year? What is this ,the official “I Hate The Jets” blog of the interwebs?
I’m offended! I demand a recount! And really, shouldn’t Kurt Warner be on that list? Yeah, put him at #1! Except, and you know this is true, Donovan McNabb has got the #1 most overrated QB of all time liifetime under-achievement award all wrapped up.
Chris all, I can say is I am sorry, Mark Sanchez is the most overrated,r maybe Richard Todd? Ken O’Brien?
If you ask me, the minute Brett Favre put on a purple uniform, he became the worst human being in the history of the NFL. Therefore, whether or not he’s overrated as a quarterback is irrelevant.
