OK, so when did calling somone attractive become offensive?

9 Jul

An aide to Tim Pawlenty says that Michele Bachman has sex appeal, and it causes a controversy? Good grief people, the man did not insult Bachman, or use vulgar language, this is pathetic! And Pawlenty plays the part of Mr. PC? That, to me is by far more offensive than what his aide said.

And even more disturbing is the apology the aide issued for daring to compliment someone!

“I made a mistake that was disrespectful to my friend Congresswoman Bachmann,” Weber said. “I’ve been a Bachmann supporter in her Congressional bids and I apologize. I was not speaking on behalf of Governor Pawlenty’s campaign but nevertheless, it was inappropriate and I’m sorry.”

Again, I ask, what in the Blue Hell is “disrespectful” about saying someone is attractive? Have we really sunk this far into the demented world of hypersensitivity? Seriously, how long will it be until we are afraid to say anything to anyone, about anything without running by a lawyer first? For God’s sake folks come on!

I guess it depends on the way you say it.
