McRomney? Really?
In 2008, we nominated the “Maverick”, now, some Republicans are saying Romney is the guy we must nominate? NOT SO FAST!
A lot of folks still get their news from the newspapers and the networks. This is sad but true. Sure the headline says the majority distrusts the media, but a lot of folks have nowhere else to get their news.
When its down to Romney, Perry, and Cain (go ahead and call me a racist for listing the black guy last) the MSM will be fluffing Romney big time. The only thing worse than the nominee being a conservative black guy or a Texan is the next POTUS being a conservative black guy or a Texan.
Either is a disaster for the left.
So we hear about electability and being a moderate and appealing to the independents .. just like we did with McCain.
What the conservatives need to be doing to Romney is tying his ass to McCain. We need to beat the drum that Romney is the “establishment pick” … just like McCain. That its Romney’s “turn” .. just like McCain. That Romney is “moderate” … just like McCain. That Romney appeals to the independents .. just like McCain.
Yes, i will work as hard as I can to get him elected IF he is nominated. But, my fellow Republicans, we can do better! Perry is far better, Cain is far better! This is not the time to anoint anyone. It is, rather the time to find out who the best candidate is. And for my money, Romney is not the best hope we have. So, please, let’s ignore the establishment wimps, who are terrified of anyone too Conservative, and those political addicts who want to get a nominee as quickly as possible. AS Steve points out THIS MATTERS!
It is not a time trial folks, relax, we will get there soon enough.
Yes that is a cool pic

Thanks Barack… Up To 20,000 Stolen Surface-To-Air Missiles In Libya May End Up In Al Qaeda Hands
Thousands of surface-to-air missiles were reportedly looted from Libyan Army warehouses as the Khadafy regime folded – and there are fears some could land in the clutches of Al Qaeda.
.
.
As many as 20,000 of the deadly Russian-made weapons disappeared from the unguarded depots, raising fears of terror attacks in the skies, ABC News reported Tuesday.
“I think the probability of Al Qaeda being able to smuggle some of stinger-like missiles out of Libya is pretty high,” said former White House counterterrorism advisor Richard Clarke, now an ABC News consultant.
The missiles are about four- to six-feet in length, and can weigh as little as 55 pounds with a shoulder launcher. Accurate at a range of two miles, they lock onto the heat of a plane’s engines.
Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director for Human Rights Watch, recalled watching pickup trucks loaded with missiles driving away from warehouses six months ago.
“I myself could have removed several hundred if I wanted to, and people can literally drive up with pickup trucks or even 18-wheelers and take away whatever they want,” Bouckaert said.
A National Security Council spokesman says the U.S. has dispatched five specialists to Libya as part of the effort to recover and destroy the missing missiles.
OK, somehow, I doubt this would be a good idea
In fact, it might be the very worst idea I have ever heard.
I’ve been waiting for some sensible talk about politics, and finally, here it is!
“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News and Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.” Perdue said she thinks that temporarily halting elections would allow members of Congress to focus on the economy. “You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things,” Perdue said.
Wow! Down with liberty I guess.

Heckler Interrupts Obama Fundraiser: ‘You’re The Antichrist!’ – The Blaze
A chaotic scene unfolded when a heckler began shouting during a Los Angeles fundraiser for President Barack Obama at the House of Blues on Monday evening.
.
.
The man behind the verbal attack positioned himself in front of the stage and began shouting over Obama’s speech. In response, the president stopped talking, making the man’s comments more than audible. The heckler, who was booed by the crowd, said:
“The Christian God is the only and only true living God. The creator of heaven and the universe.
Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is the son of God!
“You’re the antichrist!”
The crowd’s response? The well-known “four more years” chant was loudly uttered to block out the man’s religious shouts. Security swiftly responded by throwing the man out of the event.
Interestingly, Obama said the following during the awkward experience: “First of all, I agree Jesus Christ is the Lord. I believe in that.” This was yet another example of the president reiterating his Christian faith for the audience.
Interestingly, the anti-Christ has been making his way into the headlines. On Monday, Matthew Avery Sutton wrote the following in a New York Times piece called, “Why the Antichrist Matters in Politics”:
For some evangelicals, President Obama is troubling. The specious theories about his place of birth, his internationalist tendencies, his measured support for Israel and his Nobel Peace Prize fit their long-held expectations about the Antichrist. So does his commitment to expanding the reach of government in areas like health care.
In 2008, the campaign of Senator John McCain, the Republican nominee, presciently tapped into evangelicals’ apocalyptic fears by producing an ad, “The One,” that sarcastically heralded Mr. Obama as a messiah. Mr. McCain was onto something. Not since Roosevelt have we had a president of charisma and global popularity, who so perfectly fits the evangelicals’ Antichrist mold.
Below, watch MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explore these issues in detail:

Lawsuit: Obama Visit Caused $676K In Airport Damage; Feds Refuse To Pay
Lawsuit: Obama Visit Caused $676K In Airport Damage – Boston Business Journal
President Barack Obama’s entourage for a 2010 visit to Massachusetts caused $676,048 in damage to Marlborough Airport – and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has refused to compensate the company that runs the field, a suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court alleges.
……………………….
Obama landed at the field on April 1, 2010, so Obama could visit an emergency bunker in the state.
Marlborough Airport Properties Inc. states in its complaint that prior to the visit, the squadron that runs the Marine One helicopter – the designation given to any helicopter carrying the president – established that the aircraft would not damage the tarmac. Indeed, the suit states, the helicopter “did not cause any property damage to the runway.”
“However,” the suit continues, “ground vehicles brought onto the airport by or under the Secret Service, such as, but not limited to, a ‘foam truck,’ which weighs approximately 44,000 pounds, (were) negligently driven onto the airport and proximately caused property damage in an amount of $676,048.13.”
“Turf or grassed-in areas” also were “significantly damaged,” the suit states.
“As to ground vehicles, there was no clearance in advance,” the suit states.
The suit says the company asked the government for compensation and was denied.
“They stated we haven’t shown or proven any negligence,” Evans J. Carter, the lawyer for the airport operator, said in a telephone interview.
Marlborough Airport Properties is seeking a jury trial.
Obama has returned to the state several times since then.
Teacher Pulled Out Special Needs Pupil’s Hair And Wrapped It Round Voodoo Doll In Front Of Horrified Children
A teacher who told a special needs pupil she had put a voodoo curse on him and that she could drown him has been banned from teaching for four years.
Roslyn Holloway, 49, pulled out some of a child’s hair and wrapped it around a voodoo doll before telling her horrified students that if she dropped the doll in water the pupil would drown,
The teacher also yanked out clumps of a child’s hair when he wouldn’t stop talking and told another she would never kiss him because he was a ‘big hairy frog’ a General Teaching Council panel heard.
……………………….
Banned from the classroom: Roslyn Holloway told a special needs pupil she had put a voodoo curse on him and that she could drown him, a disciplinary hearing heard
Holloway, who taught at the Lord Silkin Trust School in Telford, Shropshire between 2003 and January 28 2010, called one student ‘ginge’ and referred to two others as ‘pepsi max’ and ‘black boy’.
Anne Lyons, Deputy Head Teacher of the Lord Silkin School, described Holloway as ‘outspoken’.
She told the panel: ‘She felt this was the kinds of names she used as a matter of course. I don’t think she was sorry about it at all.’
The panel heard that after the name calling, Holloway went on to discuss inappropriate subject matters with her pupils – in particular black magic, voodoo and sticking pins in dolls.
During one Humanities lesson, Holloway pulled out some of a student’s hair, wrapped it around the leg of a keyring voodoo doll, and told him that if she dropped it his leg would hurt.
She then went on to say that if she put the doll in water he would drown.
Then days after the voodoo incident, she threatened to pull out some of another student’s hair if he did not stop talking – and followed through with the threat when he would not be quiet, before threatening to put a voodoo curse on him.
The teacher was formally cautioned by the police for battery following the incidents – but allegedly kept the caution secret from her employers.
Ms Holloway has now moved from Shropshire to Yell, Shetland, after being dismissed from Lord Silkin Trust School.
At the GTC hearing yesterday she was given a four year prohibition order banning her from teaching.
In a written statement read out to the panel in her absence, she admitted in full the allegations and stated she accepted they amounted to unacceptable professional behaviour.
Max Hyde, chair of the panel held in Birmingham, said: ‘Ms Holloway failed to put the well being and progress of the children first.
‘Her actions made some vulnerable children believe this behaviour to be appropriate.
‘It was particularly poor to legitimise this behaviour in a school setting that cares for vulnerable pupils.
……………………….
Holloway, who taught at the Lord Silkin Trust School in Telford, Shropshire (pictured) called one student ‘ginge’ and referred to two others as ‘pepsi max’ and ‘black boy’
‘Two pupils’ parents came into the school after their children were left distressed following the incidents.
‘Furthermore, she did not change her behaviour despite support from line managers on how to do so.
‘Her continued poor conduct shows a deep seated attitude and personal problem.
‘Her comments such as calling children Pepsi Max, ginge and black boy were in full breach of the code of conduct.
‘She was not new to teaching and she would have been aware that this was unacceptable behaviour.’
Summing up, Hyde added: ‘The panel has taken into account that Ms Holloway has not appeared before a GTC tribunal before, and that she admitted the factual particulars in full.
‘We therefore find them proven. We have decided on a prohibition order to be imposed to protect pupils and the reputation of the profession.’
Billboard About President Asshat Gets People Talking In Alabama
Controversial Billboard Stirs Conversation – WHNT
The corner of Capshaw and East Limestone Road hardly qualifies as a bustling intersection, but a nearby billboard has been getting the area attention.
The billboard reads, “If you voted for our current president in 2008 to prove you weren’t a racist, please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot. Thank you… Concerned Citizens of America.”
……………………….![]()
But they aren’t the only citizens that are concerned.
Local resident Lee Daniels says, “To make the statement that a vote for 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot, well that was saying, in my opinion, that whoever voted for him in ’08 was an idiot, and that’s just really inflammatory.”
Not everyone takes the billboard so seriously though.
Area resident Brandon Fall fall says, “I think it’s hilarious. I agree with every bit of it, and it makes my day every time I drive by it.”
So who put up the billboard?
The owner of the ad space tells WHNT News 19 the concerned citizens paid for the billboard with cash up front. He could not pass along contact info.
The mysterious group leaves people with a lot of questions.
Daniels asks, “Who are they? Are they part of the tea party? Are they Republicans? Are they disappointed Democrats? Or are they just a large group of upset citizens who don’t like the way the economy or the presidency has been run so far?”
They also have different motivations for finding them.
Fall says they are, “Pretty elusive, I guess, but I’d be in that group, if I knew where it was.”
It doesn’t matter what side you take on the billboard; it’s hard to ignore.

EPA Wants To Kill Off 183,000 Private Sector Jobs A Year With New Regs
EPA Wants To Kill Off 183,000 Private Sector Jobs A Year With New Regs – Gateway Pundit
Good grief. The far left has completely lost it.
The Obama team’s latest EPA plan will kill off 183,000 private sector jobs a year.
……………………….
New EPA regulations will kill at least 183,000 private sector jobs per year.
Penn Energy reported:
As the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to vote on the TRAIN Act, the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, released a comprehensive analysis conducted by National Economic Research Associates (NERA) showing that several of EPA’s new and proposed regulations would lead to 183,000 lost jobs per year and significant increases in the price of electricity and natural gas.
“America’s coal-fueled electric industry has invested nearly $100 billion, so far, to achieve impressive reductions in air pollution. Now is the wrong time for EPA to blindly push ahead without even pausing long enough to understand how all of these rules could hurt American jobs and consumers,” said Steve Miller, president and CEO of ACCCE.
The analysis, done on behalf of ACCCE by NERA, relies on state-of-the-art modeling tools, as well as government data for almost all of its assumptions. NERA’s analysis projects that EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and proposed Maximum Achievable Control Technology, coal combustion residuals, and cooling water intake requirements for power plants would, over the 2012-2020 period:
** Cost the power industry $21 billion per year;
** Cause an average loss of 183,000 jobs per year;
** Increase electricity costs by double digits in many regions of the U.S.;
** Cost consumers over $50 billion more for natural gas; and
** Reduce the disposable income of the average American family by $270 a year.
At the same time, the EPA says it will need another 230,000 new bureaucrats to implement their disastrous job killing policies.
The Daily Caller reported:
The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats – at a cost of $21 billion – to attempt to implement the rules.
The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.
A question to ponder
OK kids, here is a question I have been kicking around. We, as Conservatives, have several points of principle we usually agree on. Note, I said PRINCIPLES, not ISSUES, they are different. One of these principles is that we must, as a nation, follow and obey the Constitution.
One of the key principles, of that documents is that only certain and specific powers are given to the federal government. The States, and the people of those States retain the decision-making on most issues.
Now, I think we would agree on the principle that ultimately, the power lies with not the federal government, or even with the States. The real power lies with the PEOPLE! Now, consider two issues that have arisen during the GOP debates. First, Romney Care, the health care bill, that includes mandates, that Romney signed as governor of Massachusetts. Second, there is the Texas bill, that Governor Perry signed into law, allowing children, who were brought here by their parents to attend college in Texas, and to get in-state tuition, as long as they are pursuing citizenship, and have been living in Texas for at least three years.
My question is this, If the people of these states WANTED these bills, and the legislatures of these states acted on behalf of the people. Would these governors have been right ow wrong to veto those bills? Or, were these governors acting in their proper role and doing the will of the people of Texas and Massachusetts?
Now, again, this is not a question that asks how we, as Conservatives feel, about these issues. It is a question about the principle that the power lies with the people.
As to Romney Care, I think the bill has been a failure, and was ill-advised, but was it the right of the people of Massachusetts to have it if they wanted? The same for the Texas in-state tuition bill. I know, that the bill passed the state legislature almost unanimously, and has overwhelming support of the people.
So, what say you? Should a governor sign a bill, as is the will of the people of his state? Even if he disagrees with the bill. Or should he ignore the people, who rightfully possess the power, according to the founding principles, and veto such a bill?

Hallmark Unveils “Layoff Cards” For The Unemployed
Hallmark Unveils “Layoff Cards” For The Unemployed – WTHR
In the business of selling sentiments, there’s a card for everything, from traditional occasions to unique needs: cards with sound, cards for holidays, cards for losing a tooth.
But losing a job?
Yes, now there’s a card for that too.
……………………….
Hallmark recently rolled out a new line of layoff greeting cards. Stores have a specific section for job loss and recession humor, offering words of support and encouragement. With the unemployment rate at nine percent, the company says customers called-in the need.
One card reads “Don’t think of it as losing your job. Think of it as a time out between stupid bosses.”
“Yeah, I mean, that would be clever to give to someone,” said Linda Ralph, Martinsville. “It would have to depend on the person and their situation.”
“That’s a good idea,” said Amanda Smith, Indianapolis. “There’s a lot of people out of work. I have to say they’d sell more in Indiana than anywhere else, absolutely.”
“I’m not sure that I would do that. I don’t know. I think I’d do more to help them find a job than remind them they don’t have one,” said Mishcell Johnson, Indianapolis.
“Very good idea,” said Rose Dick, Greenwood. “I think it’d be sellable. It’s the truth.”
But what about people on the receiving end of these cards? Will the messages really go over well with folks in the unemployment line?
Employees at Work One in Franklin work with the unemployed every day. They say the layoff cards are a good idea.
“Getting a card like that and somebody caring is fabulous,” said Michelle Crowthers-Lunczynski. “The crazy part to think about this is there’s so many people laid off. At least someone’s caring enough to you know, get a card and say, ‘I’m thinking of you’.”
“I think it’s neat that there is a card there that can say what needs to be said in a situation like that, because sometimes it’s just hard to find the words,” added Work One employee Avril Fisher.
“It is sad, though. I mean, it just really…but one in ten people you could be mailing it to, absolutely,” Smith said.
The messages reflecting current culture, customers say, are perhaps just a sign of the times. Local Hallmark stores say the cards are selling well. In fact, they’re getting a shipment of four new styles next week.
