Illegal Alien Serial Rapist Nabbed In Massachusetts – Boston Herald
A 22-year-old man charged in three sexual assaults in Somerville and Medford is an illegal alien from El Salvador, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed yesterday.
ICE has placed a detainer on Alfredo Romero Posada, who was living in an apartment in Somerville, according to court records.
After local charges are adjudicated, Posada will be turned over to ICE and placed in removal proceedings, an ICE official said.

Posada was ordered held without bail last week after pleading not guilty to three counts of assault with intent to rape and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older. He faces a dangerousness hearing Nov. 29 in Somerville District Court, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said yesterday.
Posada was picked out by the alleged victims from a lineup of six men, according to police.
The first incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 10, when Posada is accused of assaulting a 25-year-old woman on Wallace Street in Somerville.
Two weeks later a female Tufts University student walking on College Avenue in Somerville between 11 p.m. and midnight told police she was sexually assaulted.
The third sexual assault occurred Oct. 22, when a 24-year-old Tufts graduate student was tackled while walking near Professors’ Row in Medford shortly after 1 a.m.
Posada told authorities he is being treated for schizophrenia. Police are investigating whether Posada is involved in other sexual assaults in the area.

Today, Barack Obama’s close friend and felon Tony Rezko was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison.
The Sun Times reported:
A federal judge sentenced Tony Rezko to 10 1/2 years in prison Tuesday, describing his actions under Rod Blagojevich’s tenure as “selfish and corrupt.”
Rezko, 56, has already served about 44 months. His daughter burst into tears at hearing the sentence.
U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve said she found it offensive that Rezko put at risk the Teachers’ Retirement System by scheming for kickbacks with a board member in 2004.
“You put their retirements at risk for your own greed and your own thirst for power,” St. Eve said.
A pale, thin Rezko gave a brief statement before he learned his sentence, saying “there are no words to describe the pain and regret,” he carries and the amount of suffering his family has endured. He apologized to the court and to his family.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Chris Niewoehner said Rezko’s conduct was severe and included scheming with former Gov. Rod Blagojevich and others to control state deals so they could make money off of it.
“That’s about as bad as it can get in a political corruption case,” he said. “Illinois was for sale at the very top levels of our government.” Rezko’s attorney, Joseph Duffy, said his client would never commit a crime again.

As much as $1.2 billion or more in customer funds is missing from former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine’s bankrupt financial firm MF Global, according to a report on Monday.
Court-appointed bankruptcy trustee James Giddens said in a statement that it is likely $1.2 billion – double previous estimates – is gone from clients accounts, the Associated Press reported. It was earlier reported that about $700 million in customer money couldn’t be found.

Giddens noted the $1.2 billion figure was preliminary and subject to change.
These new figures come in the wake of MF Global sacking all of its 1,066 employees on Nov. 11, as the company completely shuts down and processes its bankruptcy claims.
Corzine resigned as chair and CEO of MF Global in early November. Federal regulators are currently investigating his firm to see if it used customer money as it was collapsing, which would be a violation of securities rules, the AP reported.
Corzine, who lost the 2009 gubernatorial election to Chris Christie even after President Barack Obama stumped for him, previously served as a Goldman Sachs co-chair and later a U.S. senator.

About 50 people simultaneously shoplifted from a Silver Spring, Md., 7-Eleven Saturday night.
Officers arriving at the store in the 12200 block of Tech Road after 11:20 p.m. saw several people gathered in surrounding parking lots and on side streets, police said. They began to disperse when police arrived.
The shoplifters – described as teens and young adults – took items including snacks and drinks, police said.

Police stopped a group of six people ages 16-18 near Tech Road and Broadbirch Drive. Each had items from the 7-Eleven but no receipts, police said.
Detectives are investigating whether the shoplifters had attended a birthday party in the area, police said.
In August, a flash mob of dozens of young people entered a 7-Eleven in Germantown and took items without paying, police said.
Flash mob crime in the county has prompted lawmakers to consider teen loitering legislation and a teen curfew.

Report: Dozens Of U.S. Spies Captured In Lebanon And Iran – Haaretz
Dozens of spies working for the CIA were captured recently in Lebanon and Iran, current and former U.S. officials told The Associated Press and ABC News on Monday.
The CIA’s operations in Lebanon have been badly damaged after Hezbollah identified and captured a number of the U.S. spies, officials told The Associated Press.

Hezbollah’s longtime leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, boasted on television in June that he had rooted out at least two CIA spies who had infiltrated the ranks of Hezbollah, which the U.S. considers a terrorist group closely allied with Iran. Though the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon officially denied the accusation, current and former officials concede that it happened and the damage has spread even further.
According to a report by ABC News, there were two distinct espionage rings targeting Iran and Hezbollah in which spies were recruited by the CIA.
Current and former U.S. officials said the two different spy rings were discovered separately but both caused a significant setback in U.S. efforts to track Iran’s nuclear activities and Hezbollah actions against Israel.
ABC reported that according to U.S. officials, the CIA used the codeword “Pizza” when discussing where to meet with the informants.
Other former officials said CIA case officers met several Lebanese informants at a local Beirut Pizza Hut branch, which helped Hezbollah identify the spies helping the CIA.
U.S. officials, however, deny any allegations that their agents were compromised at Pizza Hut, ABC reported.

In recent months, CIA officials have secretly been scrambling to protect their remaining spies – foreign assets or agents working for the agency – before Hezbollah can find them.
To be sure, some deaths are to be expected in shadowy spy wars. It’s an extremely risky business and people get killed. But the damage to the agency’s spy network in Lebanon has been greater than usual, several former and current U.S. officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about security matters.
The Lebanon crisis is the latest mishap involving CIA counterintelligence, the undermining or manipulating of the enemy’s ability to gather information. Former CIA officials have said that once-essential skill has been eroded as the agency shifted from outmaneuvering rival spy agencies to fighting terrorists. In the rush for immediate results, former officers say, tradecraft has suffered.
The most recent high-profile example was the suicide bomber who posed as an informant and killed seven CIA employees and wounded six others in Khost, Afghanistan in December 2009.
Last year, then-CIA director Leon Panetta said the agency had to maintain “a greater awareness of counterintelligence.” But eight months later, Nasrallah let the world know he had bested the CIA, demonstrating that the agency still struggles with this critical aspect of spying and sending a message to those who would betray Hezbollah.
The CIA was well aware the spies were vulnerable in Lebanon. CIA officials were warned, including the chief of the unit that supervises Hezbollah operations from CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., and the head of counterintelligence. It remains unclear whether anyone has been or will be held accountable in the wake of this counterintelligence disaster or whether the incident will affect the CIA’s ability to recruit assets in Lebanon.
In response to AP’s questions about what happened in Lebanon, a U.S. official said Hezbollah is recognized as a complicated enemy responsible for killing more Americans than any other terrorist group before September 2001. The agency does not underestimate the organization, the official said.
The CIA’s toughest adversaries, like Hezbollah and Iran, have for years been improving their ability to hunt spies, relying on patience and guile to exploit counterintelligence holes.
In 2007, for instance, when Ali-Reza Asgari, a brigadier general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran, disappeared in Turkey, it was assumed that he was either killed or defected. In response, the Iranian government began a painstaking review of foreign travel by its citizens, particularly to places like Turkey where Iranians don’t need a visa and could meet with foreign intelligence services.
It didn’t take long, a Western intelligence official told the AP, before the U.S., Britain and Israel began losing contact with some of their Iranian spies.
The State Department last year described Hezbollah as “the most technically capable terrorist group in the world,” and the Defense Department estimates it receives between $100 million and $200 million per year in funding from Iran.
Backed by Iran, Hezbollah has built a professional counterintelligence apparatus that Nasrallah – whom the U.S. government designated an international terrorist a decade ago – proudly describes as the “spy combat unit.” U.S. intelligence officials believe the unit, which is considered formidable and ruthless, went operational in about 2004.
Using the latest commercial software, Nasrallah’s spy-hunters unit began methodically searching for spies in Hezbollah’s midst. To find them, U.S. officials said, Hezbollah examined cellphone data looking for anomalies. The analysis identified cellphones that, for instance, were used rarely or always from specific locations and only for a short period of time. Then it came down to old-fashioned, shoe-leather detective work: Who in that area had information that might be worth selling to the enemy?
The effort took years but eventually Hezbollah, and later the Lebanese government, began making arrests. By one estimate, 100 Israeli assets were apprehended as the news made headlines across the region in 2009. Some of those suspected Israeli spies worked for telecommunications companies and served in the military.
Back at CIA headquarters, the arrests alarmed senior officials. The agency prepared a study on its own vulnerabilities, U.S. officials said, and the results proved to be prescient.
The analysis concluded that the CIA was susceptible to the same analysis that had compromised the Israelis, the officials said.
CIA managers were instructed to be extra careful about handling sources in Lebanon. A U.S. official said recommendations were issued to counter the potential problem.
But it’s unclear what preventive measures were taken by the Hezbollah unit chief or the officer in charge of the Beirut station. Former officials say the Hezbollah unit chief is no stranger to the necessity of counterintelligence and knew the risks. The unit chief has worked overseas in hostile environments like Afghanistan and played an important role in the capture of a top terrorist while stationed in the Persian Gulf region after the attacks of 9/11.
“We’ve lost a lot of people in Beirut over the years, so everyone should know the drill,” said a former Middle East case officer familiar with the situation.
But whatever actions the CIA took, they were not enough. Like the Israelis, bad tradecraft doomed these CIA assets and the agency ultimately failed to protect them, an official said. In some instances, CIA officers fell into predictable patterns when meeting their sources, the official said.
This allowed Hezbollah to identify assets and case officers and unravel at least part of the CIA’s spy network in Lebanon. There was also a reluctance to share cases and some files were put in “restricted handling.” The designation severely limits the number of people who know the identity of the source but also reduces the number of experts who could spot problems that might lead to their discovery, officials said.
Nasrallah’s televised announcement in June was followed by finger-pointing among departments inside the CIA as the spy agency tried figure out what went wrong and contain the damage.
The fate of these CIA assets is unknown. Hezbollah treats spies differently, said Matthew Levitt, a counterterrorism and intelligence expert at the Washington Institute for Near East Studies who’s writing a book about the terrorist organization
“It all depends on who these guys were and what they have to say,” Levitt said. “Hezbollah has disappeared people before. Others they have kept around.”
Who’s responsible for the mess in Lebanon? It’s not clear. The chief of Hezbollah operations at CIA headquarters continues to run the unit that also focuses on Iranians and Palestinians. The CIA’s top counterintelligence officer, who was one of the most senior women in the clandestine service, recently retired after approximately five years in the job. She is credited with some important cases, including the recent arrests of Russian spies who had been living in the U.S. for years.
Officials said the woman was succeeded by a more experienced operations officer. That officer has held important posts in Moscow, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Balkans, important frontlines of the agency’s spy wars with foreign intelligence services and terrorist organizations.

Our involvement in Cambodia is what the Kent State protesters were marching about that day. In part because of the tragic shooting, and the images that spread round the world, we eventually abandoned Vietnam and Cambodia to people like Pol Pot. Forty years later the UN is getting around to trying the communist mass murderers for their unimaginable crimes.
One of the greatest shames is that weak, morally retarded politicians, in the interest of politics, turned their backs on Vietnam and Cambodia. All to appease hippies who actually cheered evil regimes, regimes that slaughtered millions!
I worked with a girl a couple of years ago, Sineath was her name. Such a beautiful girl, she was from Cambodia, and told me stories she had heard from her father, and other relatives about the atrocities. The Khmer Rouge left incredibly detailed records of their butchery. I still remember some of those pictures, and cannot help tearing up when I think of all those innocent people, many of them just children. Tortured, butchered, and thrown away, like yesterday’s trash.
Honestly, every time hear some idealistic Leftist crow about America “losing” in Vietnam, I want so badly to wipe their smile off with the back of my hand. The damned sick, morally perverted fools actually REVEL in the butchery of the Khmer Rouge.

As if the Solyndra fiasco was not bad enough………..
(IBD) — The Labor Department today announced that it had approved Trade Adjustment Assistance for the former employees of the bankrupt solar panel maker Solyndra.
That means all of the firm’s 1,100 ex-employees are eligible for federal aid packages, including job retraining and income assistance. The department has valued packages at about $13,000 a head.
Taxpayers will have to cough up yet another $14.3 million as a result of Solyndra’s bankruptcy. They are already on the hook for $528 million in federal loan guarantees to the company that are unlikely to ever be paid back.

Should a justice who participated in ObamaCare’s creation recuse herself from the court’s review of that law? Of course. But then a nominee who lies in confirmation hearings shouldn’t be on the court anyway.
If Justice Elena Kagan were a person of character, she would sit out the Supreme Court’s hearing of the challenge to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
But during her confirmation hearings in June of last year, she indicated she would not. And since this Monday, when the court announced it would take the case, she has done nothing to suggest she will recuse herself after all. Nor has the court made any statement about her recusal, a convention it usually follows when a justice takes himself or herself off a case.
Here are the facts on Kagan: She was the administration’s solicitor general when ObamaCare became law last year. She has acknowledged that she was at a meeting in which state litigation against ObamaCare was discussed, though she said she was not involved in any legal responses concerning the states’ litigation.
We also know that Kagan enthusiastically supported ObamaCare. This is made clear in emails released last week by the Justice Department.
“I hear they have the votes, Larry!! Simply amazing,” Kagan wrote on the day ObamaCare passed the House in an email to Laurence Tribe, the Harvard law professor who was working at that time in the Obama Justice Department.
On the same day that note was sent, an associate attorney general emailed Justice Department lawyers to organize a health care litigation meeting. A Kagan deputy later emailed her suggesting that she attend.
Yet, apparently she sees no issue with her ruling on a law she helped create? Hell, why not just let Pelosi or Reid decide, or Obama himself? This is a travesty, and makes a mockery of our constitution and our founding principles. Just like most the manner in which this abomination of a bill was passed in the first place. And, frankly, this type of chicanery suits this administration to a T!
We should not be surprised at this, not in the least. This president has thumbed his nose repeatedly at the constitution, and the will of the people. From all appearances, pretty much everyone appointed by BHO is a shameless, amoral, ideological hack of mediocre skill at best. In the case of ObamaCare, there doesn’t seem to be any obvious way to get enough lift under that pig to make it fly. The discussion, I’m guessing, will revolve around how to reject ObamaCare narrowly enough that the ground remains un-laid for the next obvious step: realizing that the SCOTUS under FDR beclowned itself by not rejecting the New Deal. Progressives have cherished 10th Amendment violations to protect, you see. Commie morons.
Step back though, and let’s consider a post-Progressive era. For surely this noise cannot continue. How in the world do we restore faith and transparency in our institutions after BHO, Holder, and Kagan? We’ve got a collection of people in higher office that don’t seem to understand anything, anything at all, except power. What do we do about that?
Is voting these clowns out, on its own, enough? Or do they leave enough residue of abuse, enough tradition of disregard, even rejection, of the Enlightenment principles that inform our founding documents that this administration completes the ‘mission kill’ of our Constitution by Progressivism?
That’s a hard thought, coming as it does in a context of economic ruin. However, as with calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme, the sooner we face fact that the effect of Progressivism has been an Article V amendment of the Constitution via ‘settled law’, the sooner we can set about unwinding the evil the Progressives wrought.

According to their Facebook page, there are already records set for Largest Gathering of Santas, Largest Gathering of Elves, Largest Secret Santa Gifting Groups, but none for Largest Gathering of Naked Santas.
Here are the rules:
* You have to be naked, but CAN and SHOULD be at least wearing a Santa hat. Boots/boot covers and gloves are also OK. Otherwise, it’s Full Monty or nuthin’
* No Elves, No Reindeer, etc. We LOVE all Santacon revellers, but Guinness will be strict about the “Santa” requirement.
* You’ll have to sign some paperwork with your name, address and email and OK us to take your photo, that’s part of the Guinness rules too.
