The video of the attack has apparently gone viral, you can click the link if you choose, I prefer not to see the attack. Here is the story
An 85-pound Argentine mastiff dog dramatically rescued a day earlier from an icy lake was impounded Wednesday after viciously biting a Denver television news anchor on her face during a live in-studio segment. WATCH THE ICE RESCUE VIDEO HERE: http://bit.ly/z04oVW
Kyle Dyer was conducting an interview on the rescue of Gladiator Maximus, also known as Max, after the dog fell into a frigid Lakewood lake Tuesday while chasing a coyote. The live segment was aimed at reuniting firefighter Tyler Sugaski, who rescued the animal, and Michael Robinson, the dog’s owner.
According to KUSA-TV , firefighters, paramedics and animal control were called to the station after the attack.
I hope the woman is OK, she put her face right in the dog’s, never a good idea if you are not familiar with the dog for sure.
He didn’t exactly “maul” the woman. It was more of a nip and a warning. He was obviously stressed and she kept “rubbing him the wrong way”, (pulling on his ears and running her hands backwards and up and sown in a manner dogs don’t usually like,, etc) Finally she stuck her face right in his face. Not wise…
Very good points, dogs are not people, despite what we try to convince ourselves…………
up and “down”
In the first place, Dogs – like people – are generally not pleased with strangers who behave in overly familiar ways.
Secondly, when a dog is placed in unfamiliar surroundings, he tends to get nervous and is, therefor, more likely to behave unpredictably than he otherwise would be.
Lastly, nobody likes reporters, and if some nosey journalist stuck her face in mine for no apparent reason, I’d have to fight the urge to take a chunk out of her myself.
Somebody throw that mutt a bone!
True, although there are some anchor ladies I would not mind nibbling on, their necks anyway
