Juliet Ruffner Bender, 39, and James Albert Mapstone, 45, were jailed Saturday after they allegedly had sex on the front lawn of a pediatrics office while several children watched in horror.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, an employee at the Evening Pediatrics office called police around 8:30 p.m. after several children witnessed Bender and Mapstone “rolling around” having sexual intercourse on the front lawn of the business.
Investigators say the couple cursed and created a disturbance from the moment they arrived at the scene. Police believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident.
According to court records, this is not Bender’s first infraction. In January, she was charged with selling drugs, property damage, and crashing a vehicle.
Bender and Mapstone were booked into jail and charged with disorderly intoxication. They were both released after posting $100 cash bond each.
