I like David Dewhurst, although some of his campaign tactics have turned me off. Overall he is a good man, and would likely make a very good Senator. However, Ted Cruz will make a better Senator in my view, so he will get my vote against Dewhurst next month. And, yes, of course, I will fully and actively support either candidate for that Senate seat! Here is a good video from Roderic Deane

Cruz gets my vote as well! IMHO Dewhurst will be another KBH, a go along get along moderate.
Ted Cruz is a great speaker and a great attorney, but he is a form over substance candidate.
Republicans have for years crowed that the Democrats elect vapid candidates, who have form but no substance – Clinton, Obama and Pelosi to name a few. These are dogmatic candidates, who spew sound bites but can’t get laws passed that bring about the reforms they talk about. Cruz, at best, would be a back-bench smarty pants who gets trotted out to make the dramatic plea at the dias right before a majority of senators kill his bill.
Cruz, who has been a government employee for more years than he’s been in the private sector. He’s never run a business. He’s never been in an accountable position to voters, investors or constituents. He’s never held elected office, though he’s run two campaigns to get elected in Texas.
As a staffer, he carried out orders. It is telling that his Attorney General boss won’t endorse him – probably because Cruz is publicly taking credit for the Attorney General’s work. As a private sector attorney, Cruz record is not well known. Yes, he’s written amicus briefs but anyone can do that.
Dewhurst has a record – a legislative record and a campaign record of accountability to voters. Cruz is form over substance – all talk and no record of experience. He’s a paper tiger and I’m getting tired of conservatives voting for these kind of guys and wondering why they change their stripes when they get to Washington!
Texas voters have no idea how Cruz will act in the Senate. Will he work for Texas, or will he work for Club for Growth and the other special interests that are so keen to have Cruz in Washington?
Form over substance gets America no where, no matter which party you’re talking about. I urge you to vote for David Dewhurst in the runoff in Texas.
