I could not have said it any better myself

Billy Bob at Hell on Earth has some very good comments on people wanting to kill Great White sharks in Australia

Yesterday I read an article about a group in Australia that wants to start killing off Great White sharks. It seems there have been several attacks in recent weeks, the latest a surfer was bitten in half by a monster shark that was over 16 feet long.

 

I feel for the loved ones of the victims, but dang, when you swim, or surf, in the ocean that is the risk you take. Especially when you choose to enter waters that are known to be shark infested. The sharks aren’t attacking these people with any malicious intent, it’s what they do. They are animals. They eat stuff that is in the water.

 

If a Great White shark showed up in my front yard I would shoot the hell out of him. No doubt about it. And since I don’t shoot critters I’m not gonna eat, we would be having shark burgers for dinner.

 

Those guys are the same way. You swim in their house, if you look tasty, they will probably eat you. 

 

This attitude of killing what we don’t understand or can’t control is unsustainable and isn’t real smart…
