Couple defends themselves with AR-15, media silence is deafening

Where is the news media? Where is David Frum and his smart ass tweets mocking those who defend themselves with guns?? Oh that’s right, they ignore these inconvenient stories. Matt at Conservative Hideout does not though

The much maligned AR-15 was used to defend a couple from a home invader.  The media silence is deafening.  Mr Conservative has the details…

A couple whose names are being withheld by police were outside of their apartment on Friday, when Jasper Brisbon, who they said appeared to be on drugs, walked up and began staring at them. He did this for several minutes as the couple grew increasingly uncomfortable. Eventually, they decided to go inside of their apartment to get away from Brisbon, but he followed them.

At that point, the man grabbed his AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and told Jasper Brisbon to leave. Brisbon refused his request and started moving towards him in a threatening manner. That’s when the man shot him in the chest and sent Brisbon to the ground. Afterwards, the man called police.

“What they did was criminal at best,” Pantaleon said, describing how he frantically reached for a day planner containing his firearm when he heard strange noises at the entrance to his apartment.

“It wasn’t until I saw my landlord in the front of my apartment that I realized they were cops,” said Pantaleon. He then tossed the day planner back on his bed, came out of his bedroom and tried to close the door, when one of the officers pushed past him into the bedroom, picked up the day planner case and opened it. Upon seeing the gun, the police officer instructed the other deputy to “lock him the f*ck up,” Pantaleon claimed.

Police had been called to the apartment by a tenant concerned that the building was not properly heated. Officers demanded access to Pantaleon’s apartment because the boiler was located in it.

“The cop came out of the bedroom and started saying, ‘Oh, you brought a gun, if I only knew. … You are so lucky, they should be wiping your blood off the floor right now,’” Pantaleon said. “I was in shock, and the way these guys were behaving … I was in fear for my life.”

Police went on to thoroughly search his home.

“They had no warrant, they definitely didn’t have my consent, and none of the arresting officers Mirandized me. It wasn’t until I saw a detective from a major crimes unit that he Mirandized me, a little over 15 hours later,” said Pantaleon. “What good are my rights if I’m not allowed to exercise them?”

A group of college students said they are lucky to be alive and they’re thanking the quick-thinking of one of their own. Police said a fellow student shot and killed one of two masked me who burst into an apartment.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Jones met with one of the students to talk about the incident.

“Apparently, his intent was to rape and murder us all,” said student Charles Bailey.

Bailey said he thought it was the end of his life and the lives of the 10 people inside his apartment for a birthday party after two masked men with guns burst in through a patio door.

“They just came in and separated the men from the women and said, ‘Give me your wallets and cell phones,’” said George Williams of the College Park Police Department.

Bailey said the gunmen started counting bullets. “The other guy asked how many (bullets) he had. He said he had enough,” said Bailey.

That’s when one student grabbed a gun out of a backpack and shot at the invader who was watching the men. The gunman ran out of the apartment.

The student then ran to the room where the second gunman, identified by police as 23-year-old Calvin Lavant, was holding the women.

“Apparently the guy was getting ready to rape his girlfriend. So he told the girls to get down and he started shooting. The guy jumped out of the window,” said Bailey.

A 12-year-old Oklahoma girl took extreme measures to protect herself when an unfamiliar man broke into her home last Wednesday. The girl, who was home alone during a day off from school, shot and wounded the home intruder, local NBC affiliate KTEN News reports.

Kendra St. Clair, was home by herself when a man rang the doorbell to her Bryan County, Okla., home. She didn’t answer, so the trespasser walked to the back of the house and kicked open a door. St. Clair called her mother, who advised her to grab the family’s gun and hide, according to an interview she gave to local broadcaster KFOR-TV. Authorities said that the girl found the gun and took shelter in a bathroom closet.

“I was sitting there in the closet, really scared, holding the gun, not knowing what was going to happen,” St. Clair told KFOR-TV.

I want to hear from these gun grabbing zealots on this. You want to ban guns, you want them locked up, so it takes the person, in this case a child, minutes to get the gun unlocked?

 

So, if there is NOT a war on Christmas….

Residents of a senior adult apartment complex in California staged a protest after the management of their building announced a ban on Christmas trees and menorahs in communal areas.

“We’re all angry,” resident Fern Scheel told the Los Angeles Daily News. “We want that tree. Where’s our freedom? This is ridiculous.”

JB Partners Group sent a memorandum to The Willows in Newhall, Calif. ordering them to remove the Christmas tree from the community room because they deemed it a religious symbol, the newspaper reported.

Odd isn’t it? On one hand we often hear Atheists mock Christmas by saying that Christmas trees are from a pagan origin, yet, they just as often seek to remove them because they are symbols of Christmas. How convenient. Also odd is that groups like the one behind this bit of madness will seemingly offend everyone so as to not offend some whiny screwball, who MIGHT get offended!

The truth is that those who scream bloody murder when they see a Christmas tree, or Santa, or a manger scene, or the colors red and green, or hear that kids might be shown A Charlie Brown Christmas are backasswards, intolerant, malcontents who think they are entitled to make everyone else bow to their ways. And those that give in to them are cowards and fools.

 

A man, a couch, a love story or a crime

 

Via Heavy comes the tragic tale of a man’s love for a sofa, some things should stay private

Think your love life is rough? The Anorak reports that Gerard P. Streator of Waukesha, Wisconsin, was recently arrested and is being charged with committing “lewd and lascivious behavior”…for having sex with an old abandoned yellow sofa in public.

Caught in the act by an off-duty police officer out on a jog through the Pebble Valley neighborhood, Streator was spotted thrusting back and forth into the sofa’s cushion to please himself. When the officer called out to him Stanton turned tail and fled, leading the officer to pursue him into an apartment building (and help continue the officer’s proper cardiovascular fitness routine) at which point the off-duty officer called in the case.

I think someone just earned a Sick Freak award!
