Mayor Nanny thinks he runs Chicago too

Mayor Nanny is throwing his money around to defeat a Chicago Democrat that is not far Left enough to suit him

A Chicagoland special House election to replace disgraced former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has suddenly become Ground Zero of the national gun control debate, courtesy of anti-gun crusader Mike Bloomberg.

The billionaire New York City mayor’s super PAC is poised to dump at least $2 million into the race, sources told POLITICO — a staggering sum for a single House race that’s meant to thwart a National Rifle Association-aligned Democrat who was cruising along as the frontrunner until a barrage of Bloomberg-financed attack ads hit the airwaves.

Well, clearly Bloomberg is engaging in a war on women

The bulk of Bloomberg’s cash has financed an air war against Debbie Halvorson, a former one-term congresswoman and longtime ex-state legislator with an “A” rating from the NRA. The lone white candidate in the Democratic field, she’s hoping that her base of suburban and rural voters in the southern outskirts of the district — who by and large favor gun rights — will be enough to give her the small plurality it will take to win.

Bloomberg is a boil on the ass of America

You know, if Websters ever decides to change the definition of loser……

These douchebags are great candidates! How sweet it is!

Hotline- Where the DCCC didn’t spend money is as indicative as where it did. With two weeks to go, Democrats are using their checkbooks as acknowledgement that nearly a dozen members are beyond saving. The DCCC did not spend money on behalf of Reps. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Ohio), Debbie Halvorson (D-Ill.), Betsy Markey (D-Colo.), Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), Suzanne Kosmas (D-Fla.), Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.) and Steve Kagen (D-Wis.), the filings show. Republicans believe those seven seats are all but guaranteed to fall their way.

Another hunky Republican challenges a Democrat

The whole “hunky” reference comes from Cassy Fiano, not me. Cassy seems to think GOP women might soon be swooning over Adam Kinzinger

He’s an officer in the Air Force Reserves, and is a hero on and off the battlefield. Check out his bio:

In 2003, Adam joined the United States Air Force. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in November 2003 and later awarded his pilot wings. Captain Kinzinger has served in the Air Force Special Ops, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and Air National Guard.

Captain Kinzinger has been recognized for his efforts both in an out of uniform. In 2007, he received the United States Air Force Airman’s Medal for saving the life of a young woman who was violently attacked. Despite the likelihood that he too would be stabbed, Adam wrestled the knife away from the attacker and pinned him to the ground until the police arrived. He was also awarded the National Guard’s Valley Forge Cross for Heroism and was selected as the Southeastern Wisconsin American Red Cross Hero of the Year.

He’s done five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s also done missions on the southern border in the war on drugs. He’s a fiscal conservative who believes in free-market capitalism and small government. He’s advocating a freeze on all non-defense spending immediately. He’s also pro-life and a member of the NRA.

Cassy has a couple of photos, and info on contributing to his campaign to escort current Democratic Representative Debbie Halvorson out of the House. Sounds like another step in the right direction to me.
