Your reality check of the day- Communism never died

11 Apr

Bob Belvedere speaketh the truth!

Many on the Right [I'm ignoring the Left on this subject because they are all lost causes in matters like this] have been going around for over two decades saying something exactly or near the following statement: ‘When the Soviet Union fell, we defeated Communism’.

What brought this to mind was reading and hearing people use a variation of that phrase these past several days when they were discussing the legacy of Margaret Thatcher. It’s gone something like this: ‘Reagan, Thatcher, and John Paul II together defeated Communism’.

We never ‘defeated Communism’.

We defeated Soviet Communism when The Iron Curtain was lifted and the USSR fell.

Communism still lives and, in some places like Red China, thrives [as much as such an unnatural system can thrive].

The battle against it rages on.

Communism is still a menace.

In fact, it is more of a menace now that the Democratic Party in America has been taken over by Communists.

I have no compunction about using that word because

Since the Progressives began moving into the Party in the late 19th Century and up until the 1960′s, the Leftist Democrats were Fascists — they had no desire to nationalize every industry and no plan to eventually take ownership of all private property. They merely wanted to construct a large regulatory state, where government kept a firm and controlling hand on commerce and took a hands-off approach to what they considered private and personal matters [such as what went on in bedrooms].

This all began to change in the late 1960′s when the, for lack of a better term, New Left [really a collection of Marxists, Maoists, Trotskyites, and all sorts of other -ites] decided to gain power from within the Democratic Party. People like the Socialist Michael Harrington fought with the more violent-minded of their comrades on the Radical Left in favor of adopting the strategy of pursuing this course of action — and they eventually won. The Radical Left took control of the Party in less than two decades. They were aided in this effort by those of their ilk who had invaded other influential institutions, such as think tanks, the Mainstream Media, and education. For years, they all worked behind the scenes, occasionally releasing trial balloons to gauge, via the reaction to them, how far they could now push their Revolutionary Agenda. It was a Creeping, Stealthy Socialism.

Go read it all. Bob nails it! The Left has never stopped believing in Marxism. They might have become more stealthy, using indoctrination, and that slow-moving Socialism Bob talks of. But, in the heart of the Left is still that darkness, that evil, and yes evil IS the proper description of Communism. It was, after all, under the veil of Communism that 110,000,000 people died last century. No, Communism is not dead, and sadly, I do not know if there are enough Americans left who know that.

Today’s Marxist Moron is Dennis Rodman

2 Mar

Donald Douglas highlights Dennis Rodman and his trip to North Korea, where, of course, he played useful idiot

from Jonathan Kay, at the National Post, “A look inside the monstrous North Korean gulag system that Dennis Rodman will never see“:

Dennis Rodman — former basketball player, pro wrestler, cross-dresser, boyfriend to Madonna, B-movie performer and reality-show star — is man who will play to any audience. That apparently includes North Korea’s government, the world’s last truly totalitarian regime.

This week, Rodman was in Pyongyang shooting hoops with local teenagers, and providing state media with propaganda fodder as he made the tour of communist shrines. It is all part of a vaguely defined “basketball diplomacy” TV project, and Rodman is Tweeting the usual bromides expected of celebrities out of their depth, such as “Looking forward to sitting down with [leader] Kim Jong Un. I love the people of North Korea.”

Rodman’s ignorant inanities (another Tweet declared “Maybe I’ll run into the Gangnam Style dude while I’m here”) are especially insulting to victims of North Korea’s gulags — whom Rodman will never meet or see, and whose very existence is denied by the North Korean regime. Just this week, as Rodman was being led around by his North Korean hosts, a new satellite-imagery analysis released by the Committee of Human Rights in North Korea showed that the regime is expanding its gulag network dramatically, even as it struggles to ward off another round of mass national starvation.

The term “gulag” is thrown around liberally in the post-Soviet era to describe any sort of remote prison facility. But the North Korean gulags are the real Siberian-styled deal: sprawling work camps where political prisoners spend years being tortured and worked to death. Only a few dozen former gulag prisoners have made it out of the country, and it is only thanks to their eyewitness reports that we know anything about life in these medieval prison camps.

Communist nations have done this to many idiots, so Rodman is not alone. He is just too stupid to realize  he is being used. Soert of reminds you of Obama voters doesn’t it? Or people like Donna Brazille, who is supposed to be an expert on matters political. Sadly, Brazille, a BIG supporter of Obamacare, is shocked that her insurance premiums are, well, kinda high. Liberals are naive, and easily led astray it seems. See what feeling and emoting your way through life gets you? It gets you addicted to false promises from the Democratic Party. False promises that hurt, rather than help you.

And, if you ever fail to please your Liberal masters? Well, just ask Bob Woodward how that works out

Yesterday’s big story was the release of Bob Woodward’s email communication with Gene Sperling, the top White House advisor who allegedly threatened Woodward if he continued to challenge the administration on the sequester. It turns out that there’s plenty of room of debate on the nature of the “threat,” but the real story isn’t this or that statement about “you will regret this,” but the fanatic response of the administration’s defenders among the mainstream press corps. It’s like a palace guard, and is truly bizarre. I won’t link epic asshole John Cook at Gawker, but that’s his clown Photoshop, via Memeorandum. But here’s Excitable Andy, FWIW, “Bob Woodward, Demonstrable Liar.” And see Michael Stickings’ perfect encapsulation of partisan hackery in his attack on Woodward’s alleged partisan hackery, “The shameless hackery of Bob Woodward.”

Yes, the Left says they care about people, until people cross them, or dare to think for themselves.

Does the Left REALLY care about victims of gun violence? Or do they care about exploiting them?

21 Feb

Matt at Conservative Hideout lays it out very clearly.

In yet another example of self defence using a firearm, a man used a gun to defend himself, and his toddler son from home invaders.  Yet, the national media chose to take a pass on covering it.

Funny how these stories NEVER make it to national news isn’t it? Media bias anyone? But Matt has more thoughts

My last post about guns and self-defense caused a big stink on some sites, where people took issue with the comment that the liberals would prefer people to be dead, as it is better for the narrative. Allow me to expand a bit: Democrats, liberals, regressives (whatever you want to call them) will not stop at taking ugly guns-they want them all.  So, at some point, their desire is to have a 100% disarmed populace.  When considering that, any example of the lawful use of firearms is detrimental to the confiscation narrative.  However, dead civilians, and especially dead children, are easily exploitable-they are convenient emotional justifications to ban guns.  However, if they ever did get all the guns, and only criminals had them, there would be even more dead children.  But, I would wager that those dead children would no longer be worth covering.  Dead children only have propaganda value in certain contexts

I hate to say it, but I believe Matt is correct. I have seen and heard too many Liberals dismiss self-defense, mock the very idea that self-defense is even possible, and even question if self-defense with a gun is moral. For the left, the only important thing is destroying the Constitution and replacing it with a Marxist Utopia. Anything that aids that cause is moral in their demented minds.

If the Left says we shouldn’t, then we most likely should

21 Feb

This, of course, applies to almost anything, since the Left is almost always wrong about everything. If you are not sure where to stand on an issue, just go read a Leftist’s take, and take the opposite side. You will be right about 99.8% of the time. At American power, Donald Douglas has a great video explaining one area, one of many, where the Left is wrong

A suggestion for a new mascot for the Democratic Party

I think this is self-explanatory

You can expect Obamacre to be a lot like Obamanomics

5 Feb

That is to say, you can expect it to be worse than anyone ever expected. Moonbattery has the bleak preview. All your medical records belong to us now

Britain gives us another preview of life in a country where government has seized control of the healthcare sector:

GPs [general practitioners] are to be forced to hand over confidential records on all their patients’ drinking habits, waist sizes and illnesses.

The files will be stored in a giant information bank that privacy campaigners say represents the ‘biggest data grab in NHS history’.

They warned the move would end patient confidentiality and hand personal information to third parties.

The data includes weight, cholesterol levels, body mass index, pulse rate, family health history, alcohol consumption and smoking status.

Healthcare is a limited commodity. If it is not to be allocated by price in the free market, but rather be provided by the government, it must be rationed. Knowing who has been smoking, drinking, eating too much, et cetera will be helpful to bureauweenies in deciding who gets healthcare and who does not.

GPs will be required to send monthly updates on their patients to a central database run by the NHS’s Health and Social Care Information Centre.

I am sure many are shaking their heads reading this. They are likely saying “here he goes again with that death panel stuff.” Well, sorry, but that is reality folks. At some point, it will come down to that, and the bigger the government role the more likely it will be a government decision who gets what care. Of course, many folks only hear one word when universal health care is discussed. That word is “free”. Boy, how surprised are they going to be one day when they realize the cost of that ” free” health care.

Update! The Other McCain has some thoughts on the unexpected cost of the greatest lie ever

Everything Democrats say is a lie. Remember what they promisedObamaCare would do, now that we see what it actually does:

Remember when they said it would actually save money for the federal government? Remember when they said nobody would lose their current insurance? Lies, lies, all lies. The Democratic Party is so deliberately dishonest that no decent person would ever vote for any Democrat.

How true, the Democratic Party has devolved into the Lying Party. I often ask how anyone can support an ideology that requires complete dishonesty. Seriously, if you are still a Democrat, then you either like being lied to, enjoy living in complete ignorance, or support the Neo-Marxist direction of the Democrats. So, which is it?

Might President Obama try to bypass Congress and use executive orders to curtail gun rights?

9 Jan

I would pray not, but, would it surprise me, given this president’s record of ignoring the will of the people, and the letter of the Constitution, well……

Well, that is what this and several other reports say floating around on the web.  Here’s the Weekly Standard:

Vice President Joe Biden revealed that President Barack Obama might use an executive order to deal with guns.

“The president is going to act,” said Biden, giving some comments to the press before a meeting with victims of gun violence. “There are executives orders, there’s executive action that can be taken. We haven’t decided what that is yet. But we’re compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required.”

Biden said that this is a moral issue and that “it’s critically important that we act.”
Remember this folks, Obama is not worried about reelection now. He is not concerned with what the people say either. We saw how little value he and his fellow Leftists in the Democratic Party had for the will of the people when they shoved Obamacare down our throats. Now, though, unlike during the battle over Obamacare, the Republicans hold the House, so that would not succeed. There is some thought that the Senate might not even support gun registration. But, the threat of executive orders hangs over our heads, it is something I have worried about. Also recall that Obamacare was passed because the Democrats saw a chance to instill a “fundamental change” in America that they had been seeking for a long time. This time they see another opportunity to further alter the direction of America.

Tide rolling some Midwest football team, Stacy McCain living it up

7 Jan

Alabama is beating Notre Dame like a rented mule. And The Other McCain is having a ball

Eddie Lacy ran for nearly 100 yards and scored two touchdowns, while Alabama’s defense manhandled top-ranked Notre Dame as the Crimson Tide took a 21-0 halftime lead over the BCS college football championship game Monday in Miami.

Alabama dominated from the outset, driving 82 yards in six plays for a 20-yard touchdown run for Lacy. The Crimson Tide capitalized on mistakes by a Notre Dame defense that seemed unnerved and unsteady. Lacy continued pounding away on the second ‘Bama TD drive, alternatiing with passes by Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron who capped it with a 3-yard TD pass to Michael Williams.

Notre Dame’s QB Everett Golson and his offense were luckless. Golson completed only 8 of 16 passes for 93 yards in the first half, while the Irish running game amounted to only 31 yards. Alabama dominated time of possession by nearly a 2-to-1 margin, and the Crimson Tide defense limited Notre Dame to just five first downs in the first half.

Alabama drove 80 yards for its third TD of the night on a 1-yard run by freshman T.J. Yeldon, and scored again just before halftime on an 11-yard pass from McCarron to Lacy. McCarron ended the first half 12-for-18 for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Quoting Nick Saban and his advice on how to get rid of Chuck Hagel

Superficial sarcasm is arguably unfair: Accusing Chuck Hagel of “hating” homosexuals or Jews because of policy disagreements? However . . .

Since when did the Left give a damn about fairness in politics?

“By Any Means Necessary” has long been the amoral nihilistic slogan of the radical Left, just like ”they bring a knife, you bring a gun” has always been the ruthless ethos of The Chicago Way.

Democrats are willing to accept Hagel’s alleged homophobia in order to gain a weapon with which to clobber the hated “neoconservatives,” by which they really mean, the Israel Lobby.

Let us pause to point out that there is no real reason to believe that the Bush administration’s ill-fated decision to invade Iraq — and the subsequent “nation-building” folly of a misguided scheme to impose democracy on Mesopotamia at the point of a bayonet — was a Zionist plot. Nevertheless, the exclusion of Old Right types from the high counsels of the Republican Party was an Idea that had Consequences.

Maybe you hate the Ron Paul/Chuck Hagel/Pat Buchanan strand of anti-interventionist America First conservatism, but in hindsight, wouldn’t it have been helpful if there had been at least one person in Dubya’s inner circle who could have said, “Hey, wait a minute here, Chief. Is this really a wise choice? Shouldn’t we be skeptical about this project? Aren’t we obliged to consider the downside risk?”

It’s obviously hard to include such people in the Inner Circle if their doubts about the policy merits of foreign adventurism are automatically condemned as evidence of Jew-hating. So . . .

With those serious caveats in mind, conservatives should not hesitate to roast liberals for the hypocrisy and cynicism inherent in the “Democrats for Hagel” bandwagon. If that vicious bastard Andrew Sullivan supports Hagel, this is reason enough for any patriotic American to oppose the Hagel nomination. And the obverse of this brutal logic is that we must welcome every ally to our cause of defeating Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, in order to inflict maximum embarrassment on the Democrats. They might “win” — Hagel’s nomination may be approved by the Senate — but the conservative strategy must be aimed at making that “win” as damaging as possible to the reputation of the Democratic Party.

If we can’t beat them, at least make sure we hurt them.

I tell ya he is REALLY, pardon the pun, on a ROLL!

Enjoy Mr. McCain

MIchelle Malkin: The Left fears free thinking minorities

20 Dec

BINGO! The Left wants minorities to know their place!

Michelle Malkin was on with Megyn Kelly today to discuss the response of the New York Times and academic liberal Adolph L. Reed Jr., to the appointment of Tim Scott in the Senate to replace Jim DeMint, calling Scott a ‘cynical token’. Michelle Malkin points out that this is born out of the idea that minorities should be Democrats which is prominent in the “festering cesspools of academia” and it leads them to “denigrate, mock and insult minority conservatives.”

But she asks “who is doing the tokenizing here?” because it’s the left who preaches celebrating diversity, celebration that Malkin says is always just “skin deep.” She says that minority conservatives are really a threat to the left because “there is nothing more dangerous to liberals than the liberated mind of a minority conservative.”

This is part of the Left’s war on intellectual diversity, the only diversity that really matters frankly, folks. They want every minority to be brainwashed into the group think of identity politics.

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (I) Imbecile embarrasses herself on Cavuto

13 Dec

Johnson is my Representative, and a crook, who the morons that live in my district reelected even though she had just been exposed as a crook. Here on Cavuto, she can’t even answer a simple question. One big issue today is that politicians cannot give a simple, principled answer anymore. I guess they prefer looking like stammering, double-talking fools, to actually taking a stand!By the way, Cavuto should have not apologized.

R.S. McCain: The economy sucks like a rabid vacuum cleaner

15 Nov

Or words to that effect anyway. Funny how Obamanomics slow descent into economic hell has sped up dramatically since last Tuesday isn’t it? Recession, Inflation, and unemployment, Oh My!

None of this is exactly news to anyone who was really paying attention. Unfortunately, about 62.6 million Americans weren’t paying attention Nov. 6, so that the cause of this non-news – the disastrous failure of Obamanomics — will now be extended by four years. Danielle Saul comments:

[W]e as a country have conceded to the entitlement mentality, and it is already beginning to destroy our country. Jobless claims have risen 78k since the election pushing unemployment to 439k, the highest level since April 2011.

Danielle provides an extensive list of announced layoffs. Looks like it’s going to be an un-Merry Christmas for lots of folks. And even the 1% will have a little less holiday cheer: The Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost more than 700 points since Obama was re-elected.

Maybe all those stupid young “Vagina Voters” can find some way to trade in their free contraceptives for cash.

That is the bad news, the worse news is that Democrats STILL are calling for more deficit spending to reduce the deficit

Senate Democrats, feeling confident from their net gain of two seats in last week’s election, say any deficit-reduction package negotiated in the coming weeks must include stimulus measures.

They have yet to decide which prime-the-pump measures to push, but are mulling options such as new infrastructure spending and an extension of the payroll tax holiday.

Ah yes, infrastructure spending. Funny, I thought much of the original stimulus was going to go to infrastructure. But, I guess by the time Obama’s cronies got their pet projects funded, and we gave billions and billions to “green” energy companies that went bust, well, the money was gone.

Your post-post debate wrap up! UPDATED! Obama camp worried about Ohio?

23 Oct

Here is my take, Obama was rude, condescending, looked petty, and rude with his consistent interruptions. Romney looked, and certainly acted far more presidential than Obama did. The best line Obama had, apparently was attacking Romney, and playing that tired class warfare card. To me, it is simple, Romney won, on both style and substance. The president glared at Romney, trying his angry face out I suppose. The most troubling aspect of the night was how brazenly Obama lied, flat out lied about Romney, it is truly pathetic, but this is the state of your modern Democratic Party. Others, of course weighed in, and here is a round up of what others are saying…….

Nice Deb, has a great round up herself, and a video of Krauthammer calling the debate decisively for Romney

The Lonely Conservative agrees with me that Obama got a whoopin she also saw the anger in Obama

I think Mitt Romney won tonight’s foreign policy debate. President Obama looked peeved and angry when he wasn’t laughing. He interrupted Romney numerous times. Romney seemed calm, cool and unflappable. He certainly didn’t come off as some sort of warmonger the Democrats want you to believe he is.

I was tweeting during the entire debate. You can read the tweets here, at least for a while. I also did a few posts on Sulia.

The Split Screen Was Not Obama’s Friend Tonight

Is Obama This Condescending To Foreign Leaders?

Obama Keeps Interrupting

Romney: Attacking Me Is Not Foreign Policy

Romney has momentum at this point, and I doubt tonight’s debate did anything to change that. I don’t care what theWashington Post says about Obama putting Romney on his heels. All anyone had to do was look at the split screen to see who was on his heels. It certainly wasn’t Romney, if it was he might have been the one doing all of the interrupting.

Weasel Zippers has a great line from Romney that made my ears perk up. Dennis Prager also mentioned this on his show today, although, I am not sure how many Americans will get the context

Despite what they say, Leftists think Romney won too, Twitchy has some of the death threats the tolerant Leftists Tweeted last night. And yes, some of the miscreants are still talking riots!

If those threatened riots happen, maybe we should blame Ohio, which Ace says is a state that Team Obama is fretting over

Via Instapundit, Obama’s firewall may be on fire.

[E]ven if Obama loses Ohio, his campaign sees another pathway to the presidency by nailing New Hampshire, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado.

The first rule of Losing Ohio Club is you don’t talk about Losing Ohio Club.

By the way, it will be very hard for Obama to win three of those states (NH, IA, and CO). Colorado, especially, leans to Romney now.

The others are tossups… for now.

Why would Obama be talking about alternate routes to victory not including Ohio?

Obviously, I think, they don’t think Ohio is safe. And to talk about losing it… I think they think they’re behind.

And then there is North Carolina, which Team Obama might have given up on already

No debate coverage would be complete without checking in with The Other McCain who sums up how we all feel

Thank God, tonight’s debate is the last of this presidential campaign. Republicans endured 20 debates during the primary campaign, and we’re ready to stop debating and start stabbing out Chris Matthews’ eyeballs with sharp sticks voting.

Any way you slice it, Team Obama is deeply worried, and it is showing. Donald Douglas makes an important point about that here

That’s why Mitt Romney killed this debate. He’s optimistic and looking toward the future. He affirms America’s greatness, with no apologies. He’s hopeful and not stuck on bemoaning the “policies that got us into to this mess in the first place,” like a bleedin’ crybaby, unable to lead. Romney’s championing the policies that will get us out of it. The election can’t come to soon. The American people are going to send O on a long golfing retirement.

I have made the point in the past that Conservatives are far more optimistic than Liberals. And it shows on Obama’s face and rings out in his rhetoric, oh, yes, it shows in polls too and face it, when Obama loses Rob Schneider….. And Obama makes gaffes about bayonets… You see Mr. President, there these soldiers called Marines, and they use these things called bayonets

Last night Barack Obama mocked the use of horses and bayonets in the military.

Today Bayonet Inc. told Obama to “get educated.”
TMZ reported:

TMZ spoke with multiple people in the bayonet industry who tell us they were shocked and even offended when Obama brought up the weapon during last night’s debate.

According to the official U.S. Marine Corps website, every Marine is STILL required to complete a bayonet training program … because “the weapon becomes just as effective [as a rifle] in close combat situations.

We spoke with Dan Riker from Bayonet Inc. — a leading military surplus outlet that specializes in bayonets — who tells us he believes Obama’s comment was “ignorant … because our soldiers still use bayonets.”

He adds, “[Bayonets] are still distributed to the military all the time — he should get educated on it.”

OUCH! The biggest problem for Obama? He lies I will give Chris at Wyblog the last word

Halfway through last night’s debate I thought to myself, “I’m missing Monday Night Football for this?

Another debate, another glimpse of a shell of a party we used to call Democrats

12 Oct

Last night, I watched the debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan. No doubt Biden was better than Obama in the Denver debate. Biden at least appeared to be engaged. He was feisty some might say, he was assertive others might say. To me, and, according to those I watched the debate with, he was rude, condescending, and acted like a bully. Biden did not make any glaring gaffes, but, how he conducted himself might have been more damaging. His over the top smiles, really creepy smiles to be honest, his constant interruptions, which the moderator did nothing to stop, and his other facial gymnastics made him look like a man with nothing to say. Nothing of any substance anyway. Biden dished out the same old talking points, the same old fear and smear, and the same bold class warfare rhetoric we have come to expect from the Democratic Party, which I am thinking of re-branding the Hollow Party.

Some, I am sure, loved Biden, and his ass hat act. Democrats loved it, and the Liberal base loved it, but I have serious doubts whether or not the undecided voters were digging Joe Biden’s deplorable behavior. Maybe Biden was trying to be like Romney and dominate his opponent. If that was his strategy, he failed. Romney debated Obama with class, he was not rude, he did not make faces, or interrupt continuously. Romney used substance, and shined. Biden played the role of a thug, and that showed big time.

Others also watched, and rated the two debaters, Big Government pointed out that the media observers, the ones  who are honest anyway, were not impressed with Biden’s Joker act Among the best tweets were  Piers Morgan who tweeted Joe, seriously, STOP SMIRKING. This is serious stuff. Be Vice-Presidential. Erik Wemple of the Washington Post added this Biden really pushing it with his interruptions. And Phillip Klein summed up my feelings quite well If Biden’s strategy was to come off like a complete jerk, he’s succeeding brilliantly.

Jim Picht of the Washington Times wrote this scathing indictment

Biden maintained a feral grin throughout, often laughing and smirking when Ryan spoke. His intent may have been to intimidate Ryan or to make him look like a mere boy, but his demeanor was more Joker than vice-presidential. He went back and forth between contemptuous and deranged in a performance that, combined with his frequent interruptions of Ryan (over 80 according to one TV pundit), was both fascinating and slightly disturbing.

Biden displayed a certain command of the issues, but he laced his arguments with red herrings. His performance carried more than a whiff of the “Chewbacca Defense”: “Look at me. I’m the vice president defending a failed administration, and I’m talkin’ about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you’re in that voting booth deliberatin’ and conjugatin’ the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must reelect Barack Obama! Thank you.”

Lots more media reaction at Politico

The Other McCain was pretty happy with what he calls a “Crushing Ryan Victory”

Matt at Conservative Hideout scored the debate issue by issue and concludes Ryan won, but wonders if undecideds will be swayed

All in all, knowing the issues, I think Ryan won.  But, the debate is really all about convincing the previously unconvinced, so did they go to Ryan’s fact based presentation, or was Biden’s more emotional, yet inaccurate portrayal the best sell?

Allahpundit wondered how the angry old dude was last night

I expected “table-pounding atmospherics” from Biden but I didn’t expect him to act like a total jackhole for fully 90 minutes. Give him credit for knowing his target audience, though: His task tonight was to get the left excited again after Obama fell into a semi-coma in Denver, and evincing utter disdain for Ryan — grimacing, shouting, laughing inappropriately, constantly interrupting, the total jackhole experience — is just what the doctor ordered. He might have irritated independents and undecideds, but probably not so much that it’ll change people’s votes. The Democrats needed someone to go out there and clown for liberals, and if there’s one thing this guy knows, it’s clowning.

I had the same thoughts. Democrats will eat Joe’s antics up, independents and undecideds not so much. I do think, though, that Biden’s antics will be enough to turn a number of those voters away

Here is one voter who summed up Biden perfectly

The RNC jumped on Biden’s behavior with this ad, which I think is very effective

Some poll numbers that show that Biden did nothing except excite his base

BREAKING: CNN-ORC post-debate poll of Registered Voters: 48% said Ryan won. 44% said Biden won. Sampling error: +-5%.

CNN/ORC POLL October 3 DEBATE WATCHERS Who Was More In Touch With Problems of People Like You? Ryan 51%, Biden 44%

What happens when a political party runs out of ideas?

4 Oct

The Democrats have a big problem. Their ideological tank is on fumes, they have no ideas, they have nothing to offer, nothing to campaign on except race baiting, class warfare, and of course recycled ideas that have failed miserably in the past. This has been apparent to Conservatives for a very long time now, but, Democrats have been able to hide this ugly truth, until last night. Last night, President Obama had to run away from, or spin his economic record, and his energy policies because he has failed so miserably that he cannot defend either. the president spent as much, if not more time, looking down like some school boy being scolded, or gazing at the debate moderator than he did debating. Maybe he was wishing it was still 2008.

In 2008, Obama could hide, and, with the economy turning, and President Bush taking the flack for it, Obama could run a campaign based on empty promises, and baseless rhetoric. He, and his party had all the cards in their hands back then. But, then, something terrible happened to the Democrats, they won both houses and the White House. Swept into power, they had to govern. They had to lead, and even worse for them, they had to keep their promises to the American people. That is when the seeds for the 2010 elections were planted.

The Democrats, after bemoaning the “partisan politics” of the GOP, engaged in the most bitterly partisan politicking in recent memory. Instead of tackling job losses, they instead dove head first into taking over the nation’s health care, which poll after poll showed the nation did not want. Democrats could have insured their party majorities for years to come, but they let their power blind them. Obama ignored Republican plans to fix healthcare, and accused Republicans of not cooperating. They forced the health care bill through, showing their disdain for the people, and for the Constitution. President Obama’s promises to run a transparent administration, and to close Gitmo, and to not allow lobbyists access to his White House all melted away under the glare of Liberal power grabs. And the economy, got worse, and worse, and the discontent of Americans grew worse, and worse.

Then, the policies began to take effect. Obama, unable to pass cap-and-trade, bypassed Congress ordering his EPA to do what Congress would not. Obama used the BP oils spill to further hamstring drilling in the Gulf, he closed large areas to exploration. His policies have put more effort into increasing the food stamp rolls than into creating jobs. And the people have noticed. Last night, President Obama had to wear that suit of clothes for tens of millions of Americans to see. He could not use empty slogans, or hide behind the message of 2008. He could not blame bad economics on someone else, even though he tried. What last night forced Obama to do was to look into the mirror with America watching.

And your Nanny Statist of the Day is………….

10 Sep

Senator Charles “Chucky” Schumer for this bit of idiocy

At a Sunday press conference calling for stricter rules on concentrated laundry detergent pod packaging that some children have mistaken for candy, New York Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer admitted that even he has felt drawn to down a few detergent pods himself.

“The incidents are skyrocketing,” the New York Daily News reported Schumer said during a joint press conference with medical professionals. “These pods were supposed to make household chores easier, not tempt our children to swallow harmful chemicals. I saw one on my staffer’s desk and I wanted to eat it.”

Well, let me inform Senator Ass Hat of something, little kids want to eat MANY things that they shouldn’t, and if he thinks Congress can suddenly fix that reality, then he is even more idiotic than I think. What is wrong with America? Well many things, but control freaks like Chucky are a big part of our national ills. Just consider this closing argument from Senator Ass Hat

The New York senator — who added, “I don’t know why they make them look so delicious” — called on the Consumer Product Safety Commission to impose tighter regulations on the packaging for the colorful one-time use laundry detergents.

You know, it sounds like he has already feasted on a few of those soap pods. And what regs will solve the problem? None, of course, but I can tell you what WILL happen, the detergent companies will pass the cost of whatever moronic regulations are set in place to the consumers! Will they ever learn?

Sandra Fluke, nor any other Feminut gives a damn about women

2 Sep

The Left’s perversion of Feminism is pretty transparent, all you have to do is compare the talk of Feminists like Sandra Fluke to their walk. It does not match, it never has and never will because it is not women they are fighting for. It is Leftist ideology they are campaigning for. Just as the modern day “civil right’s leaders” do not give a damn about civil rights or equality, modern day Feminists, like modern day civil rights leaders  care only about expanding Leftism, and their own power in America.

Donald Douglas points out the facts about Sandra “Propaganda” Fluke

It turns out that Sandra Fluke was in Tampa, making the political rounds, accompanied by party big-wigs like Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Rockin’ conservative Dana Loesch tried to track her down and get a commitment for a woman-to-woman debate on women’s issues. So far Dana hasn’t heard back. And recall Fluke’s scheduled for a big speech at the Democrat convention next week:

Debate? Liberals never seek debate. they seek opportunities to spread their propaganda, but an open debate? With an exchange of ideals aimed at solving problems? HA! The Left wants to create problems, or at least perceived problems for every minority. That way they can create a mentality of victimization among these minorities, and make them feel totally dependent on Liberals to solve these “problems”. The Left’s leadership is about creating a new slave society. No not actual slaves in chains. Rather they want a nation of people who are mentally chained to government dependence. This gives the Left what they want more than anything else. Control.

Go to the link and get Douglas’ take, which differs slightly from mine. But it is insightful. and no doubt has a lot of merit. Douglas is quite correct when he says this:

But at base Fluke can’t talk to Dana Loesch because she — just like any other ethically bankrupt pro-abort progressive — can’t defend the left’s moral abomination of the abortion holocaust industry. It’s as simple as that. The left is not about “choice.” They are about killing the innocent. It’s the biggest stain on America since the Jim Crow segregation. But that we overcame. Where we had once reached a high point of moral decency in working to desegregate and guarantee equal justice for all, the left has spent four decades expanding the immoral atrocity of abortion, with today’s Democrat Party platform abandoning it’s not-so-long-ago purported commitment to making baby-killing exceedingly rare. Now no one even attempts to cover up left-wing infanticide. It’s late-term abortions all the way, and nothing’s going to stop me! My body. My choice. My dead baby.

I agree. My point is that everything the left is doing in America, and none of it is good, is aimed at “fundamentally changing” America by creating as many dependents on government as possible. It is Collectivism the Left seeks, and crushing Individualism is the only way they will ever achieve that goal. This is why the Left has been at war with our Constitution since the very beginning of our Republic. And that is also why the Right so jealously defends the Constitution.

Obama’s war on America’s economy rages on

19 Jul

Donald Douglas has the latest on a sharp jump in jobless claims

At LAT, “New jobless claims jumped sharply last week to 386,000“:

WASHINGTON — New claims for unemployment benefits rose sharply last week to 386,000, the biggest jump in more than a year as the labor market continued to show signs of struggling amid the weakening recovery.

The increase of 34,000 in initial jobless claims came a week after a dramatic drop to 350,000, the lowest level in more than four years. But that figure now looks like an outlier amid an avalanche of other data that show the economic recovery is stuck in low gear.

It just gets worse and worse. Obama has done nothing to help the economy. What he has done has served to hamstring domestic energy production, his EPA is waging a war on the coal industry, and businesses are afraid to expand because of all the regulations, and uncertainty on what tax rates will soon be. Then, of course, there is the start of  Obamacare looming as well. There are more regs and penalties for small businesses there too. To me the evidence is pretty clear. This is the “fundamental change” Obama kept talking about in the 2008 campaign. He wants Americans to be dependent on the government. That IS the Collectivist dream that Obama, and his fellow Leftists have had for decades upon decades. Think of it like this, the more of us that depend on government, the more of us will feel that we must vote Democrat. Being dependent on government is almost like an addiction isn’t it? Americans will ultimately feel that they will lose their jobs, or benefits if they vote for any candidate that is not a Liberal. We must never allow that to happen.

Now you might not believe that Obama, and the Democrats WANT more people relying on government. But, consider that Obama recently gutted welfare reform. Also consider what Starr Parker has found

And what about those “shovel-ready jobs? You remember, all the jobs the stimulus was going to provide? The Other McCain wonders about all that stimulus money too!

Here is the press release from the Romney campaign:

ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT RELEASES TELEVISION AD, “WHERE DID ALL THE MONEY GO?”

Boston, MA – Today, Romney for President released a new television advertisement titled “Where Did All The Money Go?” President Obama’s time in office has been marked by political payoffs to the donor class and layoffs for the middle class. He showered his friends with stimulus funds and sent millions of taxpayer dollars overseas. If we can’t trust him with our money, why should we trust him for another four years?

Where did it go? Can you say outsourced?

Muslim Congressman: America’s schools should use madrassas as ‘model,’ ‘where the foundation is the Koran’

5 Jul

Someone explain how such a buffoon ever got elected to anything?

Indiana Democratic Rep. Andre Carson claimed in late May that America’s schools should be modeled after Islamic madrassas in video that recently surfaced.

“America will never tap into educational innovation and ingenuity without looking at the model that we have in our madrassas, in our schools, where innovation is encouraged, where the foundation is the Quran,” Carson said in the speech. “And that model that we are pushing in some of our schools meets the multiple needs of students.”

So, a United States Congressman wants our children indoctrinated into Islam? Let us hope he is booted out of office this November

Remember when I said that this election season would be violent?

4 Jun

This is what I meant

The homeowner would not support Democrat judicial candidate Ernestina R. Cruz in Taos.
So they beat him bloody.

Officials with the Taos Police Department say they are still working to get to the bottom of the alleged beating of a Taos landowner over the removal of political signs from in front of his property.

In an interview with The Taos News Friday (May 25), property owner Roy Cunnyngham and his wife Joni recounted the events when they returned home, across from Casa los Córdovas May 1.

“I don’t know how many people hit me,” Cunnyngham said of the incident.

According to the police report filed the same day, Eighth Judicial District Court judge candidate Ernestina Cruz was having a “meet and greet” event at Plaza de Colores. At the same time, across the street, Cunnyngham and his wife were returning home from dinner to find several of Cruz’ campaign signs in front of his property.

As in the police report, Cunnyngham confirmed that three men approached him and demanded that he replace the signs where they’d been staked. Cunnyngham said he resisted.

“We were setting them in the car and we’d planned to call whoever they belonged to,” Cunnyngham said. “I told them I thought it was very distasteful to put these signs in front of my property.”

At that point, a younger man came across the street and again told Cunnyngham to put the signs back. When Cunnyngham refused, the man “pounded me in the chest,” Cunnyngham said.

While Cunnyngham says he knows a few of the people involved, The Taos News’ policy is not to identify alleged offenders until they have been charged or implicated by law enforcement.

At the time of the incident, Cruz denied having any knowledge of anyone involved in the incident, saying that it was “unfortunate” that Cunnyngham removed signs that “did not belong to him.”

What followed was far from a fair fight, the Cunnynghams say. Cunnyngham was later checked out by a doctor who treated him for cuts and bruises, injuries to his mouth and a concussion, Cunnyngham said.

“They just attacked him, all three of them,” Joni Cunnyngham said. “Someone was keeping me and my son from getting to them.”

Get ready, be careful, be smart, and understand that some on the Left ARE desperate enough to get violent

Translating Bidenese?

22 May

Trying to translate, or make sense out of anything that exits Joe Biden’s mouth can be dangerous, but, I think I can do this. Take this clip Duane Lester posted at All-American Blogger listen closely, and see if you can hear what Crazy Uncle Joe is REALLY saying

So, what is Joe REALLY saying there? Well, the Tea Party is made up of Americans, voicing their views and concerns right? And while the Tea Party was a significant part of the 2010 elections, it was more than just the Tea Party “taking over”. That was the voice of the PEOPLE that Biden and the Democrats heard in 2010. And, apparently Joe just sees us the people as a bunch of “obstructionists”. So, it seems clear that Joe is really telling the people to stay out of the way of the Liberal agenda of the Democrats. In other words, Biden, and Obama, and the rest have no interest in listening to, much less heeding the voice of the people. Now, does that sound like people who respect the Constitution? If you said no,then I think it is pretty obvious which party should not get your vote this November!
