Your Marxist Morons of the Day are……….

Washington State. Yes, the entire state. Why you Ask? Well, for banning words like penmanship, and fisherman among other words deemed “sexist”

The war on the English language from gender-neutrality advocates has reached new lows in Washington state, where the governor signed a new piece of legislation dictating that the terms “fisherman,” “freshman,” and “penmanship” all be replaced because of alleged sexism. “Fisherman” will now be “fisher”; “freshman” will now be “first-year student”; “penmanship” will now be “handwriting.”

The idiot who sponsored this bill, shared her complete lack of common sense

“This was a much larger effort than I had envisioned. Mankind means man and woman,” said Democratic state Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles of Seattle.

The new gender-neutral references, for example, include “journey-level plumber” instead of “journeyman plumber,” “handwriting” in place of “penmanship,” and “signal operator” for “signalman.”

“There’s no good reason for keeping our legal terms anachronistic and with words that do not respect our current contemporary times,” Kohl-Welles, the 475-page bill’s sponsor, told Reuters.

Several words, however, aren’t easy to replace, said Kyle Thiessen, the state’s code reviser, who heads up the 40-staff Washington Code Reviser’s Office agency.

The state likely won’t change the words “airmen” and “seaman,” for example, because of objections by the state’s Washington Military Department, he said.

Civil engineering terms such as “man hole” and “man lock,” also will not be changed because no common-sense substitutes could easily be found, Thiessen said.

Nearly 3,500 Washington state code sections, out of a total of about 40,000 have been tediously scrubbed of gender bias, although most involve adding pronouns “she” and “her” to augment the existing “he” and “his,” Thiessen said.

The bill passed the Democrat-controlled state House 70-22 on April 9 and unanimously cleared the state Senate on February 8 before being signed by Democratic Governor Jay Inslee.

Got that kids? Out of 92 state representatives 70 voted for this excursion into stupidity! Dear Lord how stupid are these people? They actually think this is the proper role of government? I think the Pit of Liberal Stupidity just got a tad deeper

Grab your ankles, because our “representatives” are going to ram an immigration bill through, WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THE FUCK IS IN THE BILL!

Via The Daily Caller:

The “Gang of Eight” senators will release their immigration bill on Tuesday, just one day before the only scheduled hearing, according to news reports, bolstering GOP charges that advocates are planning to rush the controversial bill through the Senate before the public knows what is in it.

The bill is to be released April 16, according to a Friday report by The Associated Press.

The next day, before other senators have time to understand what is in the complex bill, Vermont Democratic Sen. Pat Leahy is slated to hold an April 17 hearing with one witness, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano.

There is no evidence that Democrats plan to hold additional hearings that would help senators — and Americans — to get testimony from immigration, police and wage experts about the workability and impact of the bill, which reportedly includes more than 1,000 pages.

The Democrats’ blitz has prompted protests and requests for additional hearings from GOP Senators, including Alabama Sen. Jess [ed.- they mean Jeff] Sessions, the ranking chairman of the Senate’s budget committee.

Every Senator in the Gang of Eight Ass Hats should be forced to resign like the disgraces they are. And do not give me that “but it is a bi-partisan bill” crap either! A bad bill is a bad bill, no matter who votes for it. And yes, any bill that the people cannot have time to read and digest is a bad bill!

So, what are the Republican Senators up to?

11 Apr

16 Republicans voted against a filibuster over the gun bill. Bob Owens wonders if they are setting a political trap

I was a little surprised that the Republicans skipped out on the gun control bill filibuster, allowing it to move forward to debate by a vote of 68-31. 16 Republicans crossing the aisle to allow it to go forward including Burr, who had been set to join the filibuster.

While it is merely speculation, I think several things are going on here:

  • Republicans have decided to give Obama the “up or down vote” he’s badgered and waved the blood shirt for, in order to give the appearance of compromising.
  • Republicans are figuring that they’re now turning the tables on Red State Democrats and moderate Republicans, forcing them to come out and record an up or down vote.
  • Republicans have plotted to fill the legislation—whatever it turns out to be—with “poison pill amendments” that will either force Harry Reid to pull the bill, or force Democrats to vote against it, OR put enough pro-gun legislation in there to more than offset any background check compromise.

Interesting theory there. I wonder if they are that smart, given some of the names among those 16 Repubs, I have my doubts. I just pray they are not suffering from Weak Spine Syndrome.

Does Anthony Weiner have a hard on for a political return? UPDATED! First Weiner campaign video added

7 Apr

Anthony Weiner might be seeking the New York Mayor’s office next election. Will he run as a Democrat? Will the party support him? Or perhaps he might start a new party? The Trouser Snake Party? or the One-Eyed Monster Party? Or perhaps the Perverts Party?

Via NY Post:

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner is laying the groundwork for a political comeback, possibly as a startling addition to this year’s mayoral race, sources said yesterday.

Political insiders were abuzz at news that Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, had granted a lengthy magazine interview for the first time since his resignation in an embarrassing sexting scandal in 2011.

“The magazine piece is step one of a two-step process for him to run citywide this year,” said one Democratic Party source.

“He’s looking at public advocate and comptroller, but he really thinks he can use this to get back in and run for mayor.”

Weiner issued a terse “no comment” when asked about his plans.

Weiner has $4.3 million left in his campaign account, including $248,710 that would be matched 6-to-1 under the public-financing system.

Here is a possible campaign them song

UPDATE! This might be the model for the first campaign ad

The Feinstein Assault Weapons Ban is DOA

19 Mar

Dream on Senator Gun Grabber

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday that he will not include California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban in his gun control legislation.

Reid said that an assault weapons ban, which would be able to pass with a simple majority, would have less than 40 votes in the Senate.

Democrats control 53 Senate seats and also count independents Bernie Sanders and Angus King in their caucus, meaning that at least 15 members of the Democratic caucus did not get on board with the assault weapons ban.

Heartache for a Leftist

Keith Ellison (Douche Nozzle) makes a complete ass of himself on Hannity

27 Feb

Donald Douglas calls this a meltdown. I would call it a Democrat showing his true colors

Ellison is a grade A tool, a bully, and a disgrace to this nation. watch his mannerisms during this debate, which is not a debate of course because Ellison simply rants like a thug. Ellison is a thug, watch Ellison’s face. He is acting like some punk trying to start a fight. That is what the Democratic party has become, a party of thugs.

When Democrats say “by ANY means necessary”…..

26 Feb

They bloody well mean it!

The important thing to understand about the Democrat Party is that they have no moral or philosophical principles of any kind. The Democrat Party is about power for its own sake, and everything that Democrats claim to stand for is negotiable, subject to change if necessary to win elections. For example, if racism will win election for Democrats, then they will use racism to win elections:

Go read what the miscreants are up to now

Oh no, not MORE Offendeditis!

26 Feb

Yep, Michelle Malkin dared to make a video mocking Democrats, the media, and Michelle Obama. Of course, the Left now has the vapors!

Personally, I thought the Bob Menendez Dance was the best one. And Michelle Malkin is definitely a lot easier on the eyes, love that wig, than the FLOTUS!

Maybe the New Republic should change its name

14 Feb

The New Leftist maybe, or The New Statist? frankly they ought to do something because their Liberal mask has slipped off and the ugly face of unbridled Leftism is showing. But don’t take that from me, listen to the former publisher

The New Republic has abandoned its liberal but heterodox tradition and embraced a leftist outlook as predictable as that ofMother Jones or the Nation.”

– Marty Peretz, former publisher of The New Republic

After Facebook zillionaire Chris Hughes purchased The New Republic, he proclaimed that the magazine, which has long since lost the prestige it enjoyed in the 1980s and ’90s, would “strive to be free of party ideology or partisan bias.” This proclamation was instantly falsified by the magazine’s first print cover story under the new publisher, a smear of the Republican Party by Sam Tanenhaus.

Yes, they are non-partisan like MSNBS is. Stacy McCain has some fun at the expense of TNR

That inspired a memorable Twitter beatdown of Chris Hughes by Ace of Spades — if you haven’t seen it, you simply must — who pointed out that, despite its partisan heckling of Republicans as “The Party of White People,” The New Republic‘s editorial staff is a monochromatic swath of vanilla honkydom. What is true of The New Republic is, of course, true of liberalism in general. The folks who were most eager to brand the Tea Party movement “racist” were white liberals, and this tells you something about what Shelby Steele called the White Guilt mentality of liberals: “Vote Democrat, cracker, in order to signify your moral righteousness on race issues.”

Never mind, of course, whether the policies of the Democrat Party actually result in any genuine improvement in the quality of life for African-Americans: When all that matters is your bien pensant good intentions toward black people, the efficacy of policy can be ignored as a trivial concern. Skepticism toward liberal policies becomes evidence ofmala fides — for example, you’re a racist if you take seriously the “mismatch” critique of affirmative action – and intelligent examination of alternatives is thereby rendered impossible.

Essential to this way of thinking is the demonization of Republicans as representative of negative values: Racist, sexist, homophobic, greedy, redneck, theocratic, clueless, rich people.

Rhetoric about ideological liberalism thus ignores the unthinking partisanship — the enthusiastic cheerleading mentality that views the success of the Democratic Party as necessary to the good of the American people — which is the genuine nature of “bias” in 21st-century political journalism. The press corps is nowadays overcrowded by propagandists who think of every story in terms of startling simplicity: How will this help Democrats or hurt Republicans?

That is about as honest a depiction as I can recall reading. Basically, the Left’s moral compass points one of two ways. What is good for Democrats, is moral, period. Just look at the Left’s soft-pedaling of Chris Dorner. Sue he killed innocent people in cold blood, but he decried racism, and supports gun control, AND he likes Michelle Obama’s new bangs so he can’t be all bad can he? The Left’s moral compass does the opposite for Republicans. The Tea Party? Why they are all RAAAAACIST, sexist, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, rednecks, bible thumpers, and they wear fur coats when they flush kittens down toilets!  Certainly the treatment they get on MSNBS, or any other Lefty blog or station will be far worse than the treatment given Dorner. But, again, that is the morality of the Left.

Democrats to rub our noses in illegal immigration during the SOTU speech

12 Feb

Good people can debate what to do about the 11 plus million illegals in this nation. But, as with most other issues, Liberals do not want to debate, they want their way, and they want to shove it in our faces. Five Democrats, including Michelle Obama, are bringing illegal aliens to the SOTU tonight. That shows how serious they are about enforcing any immigration law. Democrats see one thing when they look at illegal immigration. They see a voting block that they feel will cement their future electoral success. Who cares about laws, or sovereignty, or national security when there are voters to be brought in to keep Democrats in control?

Senator John McAmnesty said last month that we “can’t have 11 million people living in the shadows.” However, I wouldn’t necessarily define the State of the Union speech as “the shadows”:

A number of Democrats, including First Lady Michelle Obama, are bringing illegal immigrants as guests to the State of the Union on Tuesday.

But a spokeswoman with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency declined to comment to The Daily Caller on Tuesday about whether the agency approves of this occurring at the Capitol, where Obama is set to give his annual address on Tuesday night.

“I don’t have any comment for you on this,” Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said after TheDC inquired whether the agency was aware of this and whether it was possible the guests could be arrested.

At least five Democrats are bringing illegal immigrants to the State of the Union, according to reports.

The answer is because he is a Democrat

10 Feb

If this were Jeopardy, you would ring in and answer with the question. In this case Lonely Conservative asks the right question. Why is Bob Menendez still a US Senator?

Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) is no stranger to scandal, but the latest allegations against him would have meant the end of his political career if he had an R next to his name rather than a D. Not only is he under an ethics investigation for accepting the gift of chartered flights to the Dominican Republic, there are also charges that the chairman of the foreign relations committee was having sex with underage prostitutes while in that foreign country. So, why is he still a senator? Because, he’s a Democrat from New Jersey.

The sad truth is this. Powerful politicians from both parties do bad things. Politicians from both parties get caught. But, it seems, for the most part, only Republicans have the decency to resign. This is true in part because the media makes far more of Republican scandals than Democrat scandals. It is also true that Republicans have more of a sense of what is right, even when they do wrong. And, sadly, it is true because Democrats care about power more than morality, or decency. And yes, that applies to Democratic voters as well, except that rather than placing power over morals, Democratic voters place their own sense of entitlement, as in entitled to some of everyone else’s money, above morals.

This brings me to another answer, to a question I have asked quite a bit. Given the lack of character, the lack of respect for the Constitution, and the lack of interest in the will of the people most Democrats openly display, why would anyone be a Democrat? The answer? Because they know Democrats will keep the handouts coming. And if that offends you as a Democrat, do not blame me. The truth hurts, so, instead of attacking me go take  a long look in the mirror.

From the Department of Redundancy Department

7 Feb

Stacy McCain ponders the redundancy of the term corrupt Democrat.

William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection reports on a congressional ethics investigation that has found “there is substantial reason to believe that Representative Owens accepted payment of travel expenses for an officially connected trip to Taiwan from an impermissible source, resulting in an impermissible gift, in violation of federal law and House Rules.”

Maybe a better question is was there any banging of underage hookers going on?

Short answer: Hell to the yes!

Two FBI sources have told The Daily Caller that the bureau’s inquiry into  Democratic New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez is now based in New Jersey, not  Miami. One added that pressure is mounting from the highest levels of the  Justice Department to pursue the investigation.
The change of focus away from the bureau’s Miami field office indicates that  the government is focused primarily on Sen. Menendez — and not on his longtime  donor Dr. Salomon Melgen, as political observers have speculated.
Menendez is embroiled in a scandal sparked by allegations that he slept with  underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.

(Hat-tip: Viral Read.) There are rumors that powerful Democrats are now working to hasten the downfall of Menendez.

See ya Bob, good luck getting those underage hookers after you are gone from the Senate. Because after that, Bob, you will not be a powerful United States Senator. You will just be an undesirable 59-year-old pervert. One more thought, I think we all can agree that the only way the Bob Menendez/Underage hookers story could be worse would be if a sex tape surfaced. Bob Menendez sex tape? UGH!

The Democratic Party defined?

17 Jan

A certain blogger, infamous for his love of bad beer, cool hats, driving Liberals crazy, and who likes to yell ROLL TIDE at inappropriate times, sums up the Democrats like this

The Filthy Rotten Party of Corruption, Treason, Fraud, Sodomy and Abortion

Now, personally, I would have left the whole sodomy thing out, what consenting adults do tends to be something I do not care about. Well, OK, I admit, Salma Hayek wrestling Alyssa Milano in baby oil MIGHT pique my interest, but that is beside the point. The real point is that as Stacy McCain writes, the problem is that there is a hate deficit between Democrats and Republicans

In a Twitter colloquy with Susan Cloud, producer of the Mark Davis radio show, I found myself compelled to explain and defend my previous criticisms of National Review. The problem, really, is that Republicans just don’t hate Democrats the way Democrats hate Republicans.

Most Republicans are born and raised Republicans, and are spiritually attuned to the sentiments of bourgeois respectability that are core values to the decent, honest people the GOP represents. By contrast, Democrats owe their power to the vilest dregs of humanity — corrupt union goons, Marxist academics, criminals, drug addicts, sexual perverts and race hustlers — who have no respect for the values of decent, honest people.

In politics, this represents a tremendous advantage to Democrats, who elect to high office vicious thieves like Charlie Rangel without any sense of embarrassment, and then applaud Rangel’s lies without shame. The Democrats are a gang of brazen criminals who have contempt for their victims — you, the respectable citizens who vote Republican.

Having been born and raised a Democrat, I was never taught to be embarrassed of my politics the way most Republican children seem to be taught. And these nice Republican types who grew up groveling and apologizing — “Please, Professor, don’t give me a bad grade for disagreeing with you!” — are the weak link in the chain, the essential cause of the Republican Party’s feebleness.

Nailed it! We are too nice, too timid, too afraid of causing offense. Of course, niceness is a virtue, but, many Republicans do take that too far. Our “leadership” seems to suffer from this timidity far more than the Conservative base does. what they do not get is this, the media, and the Left will label us extremists no matter what we say. So, we ought to accept that confidence, knowledge, and deeply held values expressed with conviction, and defended with passion are going to appeal to many Americans. I keep hearing Republicans ask how we can better deliver our message. the first step, I would think, is to BELIEVE in our message first, that tends to help the delivery greatly!

How in the Hell does this doddering fool get elected?

13 Dec

Weasel Zippers has video of Rep Hank Johnson apologizing for using the “M-Word” that word being midget. Watch it, or if you feel too much pain from listening to this imbecile, click the link for the transcript

Who votes for this man? Seriously? Who votes for a man this stupid? He will not say midget, but saying abnormally small people is acceptable? Yeah, because that is far more sensitive. Honestly, this sounds like a SNL sketch. Of course, Johnson has a history of being incredibly stupid

If it is “job-killing tax” why did these Democrats vote for it!

11 Dec

Such an obvious question about 16 Democrat Senators that are asking for the delay of an Obamcare tax on medical devices

Sixteen Democratic senators who voted for the Affordable Care Act are asking that one of its fundraising mechanisms, a 2.3 percent tax on medical devices scheduled to take effect January 1, be delayed.  Echoing arguments made by Republicans against Obamacare, the Democratic senators say the levy will cost jobs — in a statement Monday, Sen. Al Franken called it a “job-killing tax” — and also impair American competitiveness in the medical device field.

The senators, who made the request in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, are Franken, Richard Durbin, Charles Schumer, Patty Murray, John Kerry, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Joseph Lieberman, Ben Nelson, Robert Casey, Debbie Stabenow, Barbara Mikulski, Kay Hagan, Herb Kohl, Jeanne Shaheen, and Richard Blumenthal.  All voted for Obamacare.

Two other Democrats, senators-elect Joe Donnelly and Elizabeth Warren, also signed the letter.  Donnelly voted for Obamacare as a member of the House.  Warren was not in Congress at the time.

“The medical technology industry directly employs over 400,000 people in the United States and is responsible for a total of two million skilled manufacturing jobs,” the senators wrote in a December 4 letter to Reid.  “We must do all we can to ensure that our country maintains its global leadership position in the medical technology industry and keeps good jobs here at home.

Could such rank stupidity come from anywhere else but our government?

Obama cares SO much about working Americans?

6 Dec

That was part of his rhetoric, yet, unemployment has risen sharply, AGAIN it stands at over 8%. And, thanks to the walking brain donors who vote with their hands out, we have four more years of this!

Stacy McCain has the “unexpected” news

Can we endure four more years of this?

U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, was 7.8% for the month of November, up significantly from 7.0% for October. Gallup’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 8.3%, nearly a one-point increase over October’s rate.

Ed Morrissey comments:

The economy is shedding jobs at roughly the same rate as we’ve seen for [the past 18 months], and it’s not generating jobs quickly enough to give those workers enough options other than unemployment.

Given the continuing misery, why did Americans re-elect Obama?

Why? So many reasons, most revolving around the lack of an understanding of what American principles are about. Start with an education system that spends far more than it should to NOT teach about the Constitution! Add a news media that shills for Obama, and the rest of the Democrats. Add a growing sense of entitlement from so many Americans. Add a detachment from politics and things political by most of us. And of those who do try to be informed, many just skim headlines, so they end up misinformed rather than informed. Add the Americans who want to be “understood” and “related to”. Good grief we are so sensitive now. Finally, add the fact that style and not substance matters to most voters.

Are you infected with RINOitis?

3 Dec

If you are a Republican, RINOitis can cripple you ability to stand on principle, and lead to a bad case of Bipartisnship Disorder. Smitty, at The Other McCain is offering help diagnosing these maladies

Already we are told to blame the Tea Party movement for not taking back the Senate, even though more “moderate” Republicans lost their races than Tea Party supporters.

Two words in response to this tripe from the Establishment, the second of which is ‘You!’.

Here in Virginia, we had to watch George Allen, who is a Nice Guy, get his T. Coddington Van Voorhees VII schtick applied to him in the suppository fashion. Why was I subjected to televised debates of a brace of ex-Governors, one animated, the other not? Because Virginia’s open primaries permitted the Democrats to pick their poison, and that was the one they’d tossed under the bus in 2006.

Props to Tim Kaine; for a statist throne sniffer, he’s an excellent salesman. Door knocking for the GOP ticket, I encountered people happy enough to vote for Mitt, but planning to throw George under the bus. Perhaps Jaime Radtke would not have beaten Kaine in November, but she’d have been more than a 6’2″ wad of cotton candy in a suit, I reckon.

Working together, and taking Smitty’s advice, we CAN beat RINOitis in our time!

Does Stacy McCain mean the silence is weird, or the media is weird?

30 Nov

Or maybe he means the obvious, George Soros, and anything he touches is weird, and corrupt

The Free Beacon’s Matthew Continetti observes how little attention was paid to the recent meeting of the Democracy Alliance, a left-wing fundraising network backed by billionaire George Soros:

More likely the media simply ignore data that complicate their preferred narrative. When it comes to the fraught relationship between money and politics, that narrative is as follows: Money in politics is corrupting only because rich businessmen trade campaign donations to Republicans for low taxes and fewer environmental regulations.

Continetti points out a little-noted development:

Earlier this year the Democracy Alliance scraped away groups that were not affixed like barnacles to the hull of the Democratic Party and left alone the groups that were.

The media is loath to dig in and actually investigate stories like this. If the question is why, just consider one word as the answer IDEOLOGY! Certainly the media has no qualms about looking into the connection between Republicans and rich people while totally ignoring all the rich Democrats. And make no mistake, the media bias factor IS a big advantage. Yes new media has made inroads, but the gap is still very significant. This, naturally explains why the left has always been eager to apply “fairness” to talk radio, and to marginalize blogs. they are not looking to compete, they are looking for one party, one ideology rule!

Nancy Pelosi (D)eranged. No deal on fiscal cliff without tax rate increases

18 Nov

Oh but of course

WASHINGTON — House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says she’s hopeful lawmakers can come to a deal to avoid a year-end “fiscal cliff” but any agreement has to include tax rate increases for the wealthy.

She tells ABC’s “This Week” that she can’t accept a deal that caps deductions and closes some loopholes but does not alter current tax rates for the wealthy.

The California Democrat says “just to close loopholes is far too little money” and other ideas have to be considered. Republicans have suggested they are open to finding more revenues.

Just so we all understand here, raising rates without reducing deductions and loopholes will not raise much “revenue” at all. What Democrats want is to keep a complicated tax code, so they can play political games with their class warfare rhetoric. If they were to simplify the tax codes, that might actually be a workable and effective solution. And, the ones that will be hurt by raising rates will not be big business, it will be smaller businesses.

What the media, and you, should be focusing on after last Tuesday

13 Nov

Ever since last week’s elections, the media, in predictable fashion, has been focused on what the election mean for Republicans, and whether or not Democrats, especially the president have a mandate now. Republicans are running around shouting their theories of what went wrong and how to fix it, and Democrats are running out of footballs to spike. But, there is something else that has become obvious that this election exposed, something the media will miss, probably deliberately miss. That something else is this, the face of the Democratic Party is becoming more radicalized, seemingly by the day. Donald Douglas has a perfect example, in newly elected U.S. Rep Kyrsten Sinema

Kyrsten Sinema, you should at least know that she’s a far left-wing radical, so she’ll be right at home with the Israel-hating Democrat Caucus in the Jew-bashing Democrat Party of President Barack Obama.

See: “Kyrsten Sinema, Bisexual Israel-Hating Antiwar Radical, is Face of Today’s Democrat Party.”

And see Weasel Zippers, “Radical Anti-Israel Democrat Declared Winner In Arizona U.S. House Race…

On election night, all we heard about Sinema was that she would be the first openly bi-sexual member of Congress. The Left, of course was so excited, but, I noted that all they talked about was her sexual preferences, NOT her ideology. Now, you can chalk that up to typical democratic identity politics, but maybe they were not so willing to discuss her radical side?

Sinema has advocated against what she calls the “Israeli occupation” and helped create several groups that oppose the U.S.-Israel alliance.

“She’s trying to scrub a 10-year record of radicalism on all aspects, and she doesn’t realize you can’t erase things you’ve said and done for the sake of running for office,” said one Democratic Arizona lawmaker who has worked with Sinema. “For us [Democrats] it’s a very scary situation because we don’t want our reputation to be diminished by one ambitious politician. Many of us pro-Israel politicians don’t want to see her win because it will diminish our positions on Israel.”

Another Democratic insider in Arizona described Sinema’s past deeds as “albatrosses hanging around her neck.”

Sinema’s foray into anti-Israel activism began in the early 2000s when she organized for the Arizona Alliance for Peace and Justice (AAPJ), a group whose members have denounced Israel’s “disproportionate” use of  “violence and oppression.”

The group also decried U.S. military aid to Israel as well as the expansion of Israeli settlements “into Palestinian lands.”

Sinema later urged supporters of the AAPJ to deluge the phone lines of a radio show hosted by “an unapologetic unconditional supporter of Israeli policy.”

To this day, AAPJ continues to take a hardline stance against Israel, aligning itself with the far left Occupy AIPAC movement and sponsoring various speeches “against the Israeli occupation.”

Another of Sinema’s progeny is Local to Global Justice, a grassroots advocacy group that has positioned itself as one of Arizona’s leading critics of the Jewish state.

What is so troubling about Sinema’s views is not restricted to their radical bent. The most troubling part is that this IS what the Democratic party increasingly represents. Not too many years ago, such views would not have been tolerated by the Democratic  Party, today, they are closer to defining that same party than ever, and that radicalism is one thing we must focus on and expose. The media, could, if they chose to, easily expose candidates like Sinema. But, as we know, they are more likely to talk about whether Mitt Romney should release tax returns, or what was painted on a rock that Rick Perry might have seen, or if Herman Cain flosses between meals, or whatever asinine charges they can “investigate” about Republicans. So, it is up to us, isn’t it? Yes, it is. It is up to the bloggers, talk radio, Facebookers, Tweeters, etc to tell the stories the media will not.

We know that one problem the GOP faces is that many Americans, and not, not all of them are Liberal, have a false perception about our party. That perception is fed by Democrats, and spread by media bias. The Democratic party has become a party not of ideas, but of empty rhetoric, smear, and hyperbole. Unfortunately though, many Americans buy into that type of thing. I hear a lot of conversations every day, and you would be stunned at two things. First, how many Americans are Conservative, which is great. But, you would be stunned at how little many of us know about politics, current events, or the real stories behind latest headline in your local paper. Many of us buy into those Democrat talking points. Yes, those people are misinformed, and yes,m they are ignorant of the facts, and yes, the media is feeding that ignorance. So, what can you do? What can the GOP do?

Well, first off, the GOP has to understand something. Giving in and playing Democrats non-partisan game is never going to work. There is no appeasing the Left, we must beat them. Too many in the GOP leadership are addicted to the notion that if we “work with Democrats”, they will say nice things of us, that they will see we are not too radical, and we can heal the “partisan” divide. That of course is wrong, the Democrats believe certain things, Republicans believe certain things, those things are rarely the same, hence the divide. So, first of all, we must accept that this is a political war, and that the Democrats are dedicated to winning it, and that they will do most anything to achieve that victory.

Second, we must realize that no matter what we do, the Left will attack and demonize us, so, curbing our message will never dissuade the Left from calling us radicals, racists, sexists, greedy, mean, etc.

Third, when delivering our message, we must be CLEAR, and part of being clear demands that we not use weasel words, or try to avoid saying something that Democrats will blow out of proportion to paint us as bad people. If we are CLEAR, in our message, then we have nothing to worry about. The ideals of Conservatism did not lose last week. If anything that lack of clarity on what those ideals are cost us. Again, when we allow Democrats to paint our image, we lose. We must not fear bringing the message of Conservatism to the people. The message of Conservatism is hopeful, and optimistic, it is rooted in undeniable truths. It will never appeal to all, but, if expressed and defined, let me say again, CLEARLY, it will appeal to most of this nation.

Fourth, and finally, we must attract a broader base, everyone likely agrees there. But, how do we reach out to single women, Blacks, Hispanics, Gays, Lesbians? As best I can tell, too often Republicans try to reach out to these groups by either pandering to some degree, or we go in almost apologizing for our Conservative principles. In other words, we go in with an aura of weakness, and trepidation. Again, we must believe in our own principles, and be able to define those clearly. And we must present our case thinking that most that hear it will embrace at least a healthy portion of it.
