Oh good grief! Homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible, get over it!

Of course, many things are sinful, according to the Bible, and EVERYONE, yes EVERYONE is a sinner, according to the New Testament. Even Christians are sinners aren’t they? Like the bumper sticker says, Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. Here is the thing that drives me crazy. If you do not agree with what the Bible says about sin, or Homosexuality, or drunkeness, or gambling to excess, or lying, then by all means do not become a Christian. But honestly, this idiotic notion that we can just change what the Bible says to be more PC is a fool’s errand. Smitty has more on one such fool

Such as O. Wesley Allen Jr.:

But other Bible experts said the Scripture Robertson cited isn’t quite clear about homosexuality.
“A lot of people misread this text because it’s so complicated,” said O. Wesley Allen Jr., an associate professor at Lexington Theological Seminary in Kentucky.
First, scholars say, we have to look at the context surrounding Paul’s letter.
The Christian leader is trying to get the quarreling Corinthians to stop taking each other to civil courts and being judgmental. “The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already,” Paul says.
Things were supposed to be different after they became Christian believers, Paul continues; they were supposed to stop their sinful ways.

There are plenty of areas for conjecture about the Bible, especially the beginning of creation and the apocalyptic end.

But to try to say that the Bible, at any point, is less than clear when it comes to sexuality is a public confession of unreliability. The human form is the human form. The reproductive system is not the digestive system. Sexual activity outside of marriage (which I should not have to state means the heterosexual context, not any of the current ‘novel’ geometries) means falling short of the optimal.

I think that sums it up pretty well. Christianity is a religion, a faith, if you do not like what that faith is about, then go another way, it is that simple.

Gay indoctrination? Some NSFW content

Matt at Conservative Hideout posts this info which will not surprise many of you

I know, this could well be classified under ‘Duh,” but a gay website has fully endorsed and admitted that their goal in education is to indoctrinate children.  Here are some excerpts…

Warning:  Content inappropriate for children!-Matt

Can We Please Just Start Admitting That We Do Actually Want To Indoctrinate Kids?

In response to New York’s recently introduced marriage equality bill, the so-called National Organization for Marriage got a bunch of pictures of black people and some guy who sounds like Foghorn Leghorn to repeat the same lies about indoctrinating schoolchildren that they ran in 2009. They accuse us of exploiting children and in response we say, “NOOO! We’re not gonna make kids learn about homosexuality, we swear! It’s not like we’re trying to recruit your children or anything.”But let’s face it—that’s a lie. We want educators to teach future generations of children to accept queer sexuality. In fact, our very future depends on it.

Why would we push anti-bullying programs or social studies classes that teach kids about the historical contributions of famous queers unless we wanted to deliberately educate children to accept queer sexuality as normal?

Remember, Prop 8 passed along age lines with the very old voting largely in favor of it. The younger generation doesn’t fear homosexuality as much because they’re exposed to fags on TV, online, and at school. And I don’t know a single lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender person who wants that to stop. I for one certainly want tons of school children to learn that it’s OK to be gay, that people of the same-sex should be allowed to legally marry each other, and that anyone can kiss a person of the same-sex without feeling like a freak. And I would very much like for many of these young boys to grow up and start fucking men. I want lots of young ladies to develop into young women who voraciously munch box. I want this just as badly as many parents want their own kids to grow up and rub urinary tracts together to trade proteins and forcefully excrete a baby.

Well, someone has a potty mouth don’t they? It sounds almost like this clown is trying to mock his own Gayness. I have a simple belief about Homosexuality, I do not really care if someone is Gay, that is their business. But, I am turned off by those who want to stick their sex lives in my face. And any effort to indoctrinate kids is despicable. The “tolerance” this person advocates is not true tolerance. Teaching kids not to be cruel, not to bully, etc is OK But that can be done without pushing a political or social agenda.

I would bet that, despite what Queerty claims, that most Gay people really do not want to indoctrinate anyone. And, I must ask here, if Gay people are “born Gay” why would any indoctrination be necessary? Most Gay folks likely want to live and be left alone. That is the problem with activists, they become obsessed with the issue they are advocating, and forget that most folks do not care about their obsession. That and most activists eventually become complete assholes consumed with their race, or sexual persuasion, or religion or whatever. And that turns most folks off.

This post brought to mind a gal I met back in 1993. We met at the bar at Ruby Tuesday in University Mall in Temple Terrace, Florida. This was before Ruby Tuesday was ruined by corporate douche bags that eventually ruin every good restaurant concept, but that is another post for another time. I lived within walking distance of the mall and went there quite a bit to watch football, drink a few beers, and meet friends. Anyway, one Sunday night, I was having a conversation about politics with some buddies, and our conversation turned to the born Gay or choose to be Gay question.

After a few minutes this girl, Julie, interrupted our conversation. She was obviously a Liberal, and thought she could get me to change my views by calling me on my “Homophobia”. Since I was always up for a debate, and since she looked very nice in a tight sweater, I took the bait and accepted her challenge. She first asked me what I would do if a guy sat beside me and put his hand on my thigh. I said “knock him on his ass” or words to that effect. She said “see, you are Homophobic!” I quickly asked her what she would do if a guy did the same to her. “Slap him” she said. Smiling I shot back, “well, that makes you a Heteraphobe then.” She sat there stunned for a second then said, “No, that is different”. “How so” I asked her “If I am wrong for rebuffing a sexual advance then so are you.” She did not know what to say. In her mind she wanted to argue, but she really couldn’t could she?

Julie, being a Liberal, could not stop there though. She tried to shift the conversation. She next asked me how many Gay people I thought there were. “Maybe 1 or 2 %” I answered. She, of course though that number much higher. She told me that simple having a fantasy, or a dream about a member of the same sex makes a person Gay or Lesbian. I thought for a second and looked at Julie. “So, if a Gay person has a dream about, or a fantasy about a Straight person, then they are Straight right?” Again, she was struck silent. No one had ever forced her to apply logic to her rhetoric before. Her feelings had never been challenged.

After a few more minutes, I offered to buy Julie a cocktail, which she accepted, she drank Amaretto sours if you must know. We talked about things non-political for a bit, then I decided to prod Julie a bit as I said goodnight. Looking deeply into her eyes, they were green, I said, “Julie, you are a pretty girl, let me take you out sometime.” Julie smiled, then said “Girl is a sexist word, I am a woman!” Now it was me who smiled “Julie, how dare you be insensitive to my culture?” She looked confused then I said “I am a Southerner, and we Southerners refer to young women as girls. it part of who we are.” Again, she did not know what to say. Having her “tolerance” turned against her was not something she was used to.

I dated Julie for about three months, much of that time we spend debating, and doing other things unmentionable here. In the end the relationship went stale, great sex, did I mention Julie had a variety of scented oils, costumes (the schoolgirl outfit was my favorite), and man could that girl tie some knots. But great sex by itself is not enough to sustain a relationship. I think about Julie sometimes, wondering what her ideology is today. I would bet she left her Liberal days behind, she was a smart girl, with a good heart. And, if Julie happens to read this, let me say thanks for the memories.

By the way, the hints as to our sex life might or might not be true. I just added them to be funny, and to piss off any Feminists or overly Social Conservatives who might read this. Offending them is one of my guilty pleasures.

Air Force Master Sergeant Relieved Of Duty Over Religious Views On Homosexuality

Thought Police Get Military Man Fired – WorldNetDaily

The U.S. military is on a “slippery slope” toward becoming thought police, charges an attorney defending an Air Force airman who claims he was fired for his religious beliefs about homosexuality.

.

“It’s now reaching the point it’s not acceptable to think something,” attorney Mike Berry of Liberty Institute told WND on Monday.

Berry is defending Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk, who says he was “relieved of my position because I don’t agree with my commander’s position on gay marriage,” reported Todd Starnes of Fox News Radio.

The conflict began when Monk objected to the plans of his commander at Lackland Air Force Base to severely punish a supervised staff sergeant who expressed religious objections to homosexuality to trainees.

During their conversation, the commander ordered Monk to reveal his personal views on homosexuality. Monk claims he then was relieved of his position because his views differed from the commander’s.

Monk had told Starnes that the commander expressed concern about the chaplain who was to deliver the benediction at her promotion ceremony. She called him a “bigot” who “preached that homosexuality is a sin.”

Berry said the Air Force later claimed that Monk’s statements were false, and an investigation is under way. Berry said he’s not sure of when the results of the probe will be available, but he contends the case should serve as a warning.

“We don’t have sergeants one year shy of retirement risking their career [to make up statements],” he said.

Berry said that throughout the U.S. military’s history, people have not been punished for what they think.

“You cannot criminalize somebody’s thoughts. You criminalize actions, not thoughts,” he said. “Within the military never before have we reached that status.”

But that’s changed recently, he said.

“We’re now at this juncture… if you don’t believe, or think in a particular manner, that’s going to be held against you,” said Berry.

Last week, as WND reported, an Army trainer in Mississippi told soldiers that the pro-family American Family Association was a “hate group.”

The contention apparently was based on AFA’s support for traditional marriage. However, the resulting uproar prompted the Pentagon to issue a statement disavowing the trainer’s statements.

Berry told WND the attitude in the Mississippi was similar to that of the Monk case.

“He had to agree with her beliefs, and if he wasn’t able to do that, he was deemed unfit to hold that position,” Berry said. “This is a dangerous and slippery slope… that somehow the government is going to be delving into your thoughts.”

Starnes reported it is possible Monk, a 19-year veteran with a “spotless record,” could be dismissed from the military because of his Christian beliefs.

But he’s not the only Christian at Lackland Air Force Base facing reprisal for opposing same-sex marriage.

Village Parkway Baptist Church pastor Steve Branson told Starnes half a dozen members of his church are facing reprisal on the base because of their faith.

“Anyone who doesn’t hold to the right view on homosexuality is having a very difficult time,” he told Fox News Radio.

“I’m raising the warning,” Branson told Starnes. “It’s not a good situation out here. The military’s job is not to fight these kinds of battles. Christians are having to walk so carefully. I hear it every Sunday at church.”

Shortly after Barack Obama took office, federal hate-crimes legislation was adopted and signed into law.

Under the law, anyone determined to have a bias-related motive in the commission of a crime, such as an assault, is given harsher penalties if convicted.

In deliberations on the law, members of Congress were told it would provide protections for a homosexual in a dispute that would not be available to a Christian pastor in a related scenario.

The Matthew Shephard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act lists “sexual orientation” as a protected class; however, it does not define the term.

While it was being deliberated, Republicans attempted to add an amendment specifying that “pedophilia is not covered as an orientation.” However, the amendment was defeated by Democrats in Congress.

Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., stated that all alternative sexual lifestyles should be protected under the law.

“This bill addresses our resolve to end violence based on prejudice and to guarantee that all Americans regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability or all of these ‘philias’ and fetishes and ‘isms’ that were put forward need not live in fear because of who they are.”

The real problem with the Gay marriage issue

I have said before that the issue of Gay marriage should be a state by state decision, and that those state decisions ought to be respected by both sides. And, in theory, such a state of affairs would work out well. Ah, but you see, the driving forces behind the Gay marriage push, do not want to live and let live. They will never be satisfied with true equality, their definition of equality being far removed from the actual definition, they will use this issue to force others to bow to them. Donald Douglas declares that the war on religion, yes ALL religion, not just Christianity, is under way, and links to this piece at All the Right Snark

As Ben Shapiro wrote today at Breitbart, this ruling by the Supreme Court has opened the door to the IRS revoking tax-exempt status to any church that would refuse to permit two homosexuals to hold their “wedding” within its walls.

Don’t think that will happen?

Think again.

As it is, homosexual couples are suing bakeries, florists and other businesses for refusing to provide them with the trappings of their upcoming nuptials.

You don’t think homosexual couples won’t pursue lawsuits against churches for refusing to “marry” them?

Really?

Come on.

We’re living in Obama’s America — where in the name of “fairness” it’s open season on anyone you don’t like.

And if you think that the “Take that bitches” crowd will be respectful of those who disagree on religious grounds with homosexuals “marrying,” then, think again.

The United States Supreme Court didn’t nullify an unconstitutional law yesterday. They nullified the will of the people. The nullified the Separation of Powers. They nullified the religious freedom in this country.

Five unelected individuals in a nation of over three hundred million just paved the way for state-approved HATRED against anyone who recognizes marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Five unelected individuals believe that opposition to homosexual “marriage” is motivated by frothing-at-the-mouth hatred. Therefore, supporters of homosexual “marriage” can go to town!!

That lays it out pretty well. As I said, I would be fine with live and let live, but the Gay marriage activists are not OK with that. They despise religion, again ALL religion, and will not stop until everyone is forced to support gay marriage. This is not about equality, or rights. What of the rights of the florist, caterer, or photographer to say no to doing a Gay wedding? And yes, eventually, churches and other houses of worship will be targeted if they say no to having a gay wedding in their sanctuary.

So, it is with regret that I say to those Gays and Lesbians who really JUST want equality, and who do not wish to force anything on any business or church, that they have allowed haters and totalitarians to take over their cause. It is sad because, I have nothing against Gay people, frankly, you could scarcely find anyone who cares less about what people do in their bedrooms than me. But, I cannot abide activists destroying the religious freedoms, and the rights of businesses. If you want equality then great, but if you want to steamroll freedom of thought, then  I do not say no, I say HELL NO!

Liberal logic: gays cannot be truly equal unless we teach pre-schoolers to cross dress

Batshit Crazy!

Homosexuality is a natural facet of mammalian life. It occurs in most species to some extent, but there is a biological reason for it. It occurs within a small minority and the biological reason is one of nature’s ways of  implementing population control.

There is no moral judgement in that. Gays should be entitled to equal rights, be free from all forms of discrimination and Gay marriage can actually be beneficial for society.

But it’s a far cry from that to saying homosexuality, something that occurs in about 2% of the population, is ‘normal’ or that gender is something that can be a choice.

These ideas are part of the idiocy fostered in places like the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where some programs are comprised of majority Gay students and staff, and by their willing accomplices at Ontario’s Ministry of Education and by the ridiculous leadership of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

Among the latest absurd attempts at social engineering, the TDSB wants to encourage cross-dressing in children as young as pre-school.

Pre-school?

Among the books recommended to kids in pre-school to Grade 3 by the TDSB’sPositive Spaces Resources is a book called My Princess Boy, the protagonist of which is a young boy who wears dresses and a tiara.

Evidently being Gay-positive isn’t enough for the TDSB, it now wants, at the youngest age, to encourage boys to be flaming queens.

In a system where most children can’t name all Canada’s provinces and provincial capitals, it’s heartening to know that they spend so much time emphasising  `gender choices.“

It`s hardly any wonder that so many university professors are noticing that students entering post-secondary studies don`t even know how to properly punctuate a sentence.

But at least Toronto`s public schools are giving them a head-start on learning how to accessorize.

Remember folks what the Left calls education, is actually indoctrination.

Wacky college students in Berkeley want Salvation Army banned from campus

Once again, the far Left exposes just how discriminatory, and ignorant they are

The student government at the University of California-Berkeley (CAL) passed a resolution last month that would ban Salvation Army bell ringers and their iconic red kettles from campus this Christmas because of the Christian organization’s alleged bias against homosexuality.

In other words, because the Salvation Army dares to be a Christian charity, that helps anyone who needs it by the way, thy must be prevented from raising funds to help the needy. Odd, as much as the Left throws around the charge of extremism against anyone they disagree with, it is the Left that is truly extreme.

The resolution, cleared on November 14, accuses the charity of openly discriminating against gay individuals.

“Salvation Army church services, including charity services, are available only to people ‘who accept and abide by the Salvation Army’s doctrine and discipline,’ which excludes homosexuality,” reads the bill, SB 176.

This charge is patently false. it would seem that ignorance, gross ignorance in this case is part of the Left’s bigotry.

“Allowing the Salvation Army to collect donations on campus is a form of financial assistance that empowers the organization to spend the money it raises here in order to discriminate and advocate discrimination against queer people,” it adds.

In a statement to Campus Reform, the Salvation Army adamantly denied these charges, saying the allegations are based solely on “internet rumors.”

“The notion that we require those we help to ‘accept and abide by the Salvation Army’s doctrine and discipline which excludes homosexuality’ to receive assistance is totally false,” wrote Kathy Lovin, a spokeswoman for the Salvation Army.

She added that “the only requirement for service from The Salvation Army is demonstrated need and our ability to meet it.”

So, in fact, the Salvation Army helps anyone regardless of who they do the Horizontal Bop with. Of course the willingness to believe the charges the student government of Cal make are part of the Left’s problem. Leftism, and Liberalism are ideologies of pessimism. Largely, Liberals and especially leftists are very pessimistic people. They seem to enjoy hearing that climate change will kill us all, Try telling one of them that the ice caps in the South pole are growing sometime. Not only will they not believe you, they will get angry at you. Of course, the Left also is addicted, or so it would seem, to being, or at least feeling like a victim. So, their pessimistic view of life is fed by internet rumors that anyone ought to see as bogus. It also explains why they are so easily fed the propaganda that the Democratic Party dishes out.

Look, someone did a study and found out what they should have known to start with

Some studies are simply unneeded it seems to me. Take this study that Chris Wysocki is blogging about. It would seem rather obvious that kids raised in traditional homes, that is homes with a mother and a father would do better than kids, in other types of homes.

Children who grow up in a stable household with a mother and a father generally turn out better than kids who don’t. Hardly a controversial statement, right?

Wrong. Because it challenges homosexual orthodoxy, and therefore it must be discredited. Never mind that the research is statistically sound and has been rigorously and objectively peer-reviewed. It’s anti-gay, and thus de facto evidence of a right-wing plot.

“I know children of gay parents and they’re perfectly well-adjusted!” seems to be a common refrain.(Obviously they’re not talking about the little boys Frank Lombard and his homosexual partner adopted though.) And I know the child of a lesbian couple who’s a total mess. Nevermind the heterosexual families which couldn’t be mistaken for The Brady Bunch.

So what. Anecdotes aren’t particularly relevent. And they’re not useful for promulgating public policy. Just because you can drive home after drinking two bottles of wine doesn’t necessarily mean everyone can.

As Chris notes, not EVERY child in a two-parent home will do well, some parents suck! And some kids raised by Gay parents, or single parents, or maybe even by wolves, will turn out great! There are exceptions to every rule. Well except for the rule that there are exceptions to every rule, there are no exceptions to that one. So, I suppose the saying out to go, there are exceptions to every rule but one, but I digress.

The fact is that nature, not me, nature provides a certain formula for the human species. Man + Woman=Kids and Family. And who am I, or you to argue with nature? Now, personally, I have no great issue with Gay marriage, sorry, I just don’t, it ought to be up to the individual states, with federal law protecting those states choices. Gay adoptions? Well, I think the FIRST choice ought to be a married couple, again, if you think that is not the best option, take it up with nature. But, kids need families, and love, and if a married couple is not found, I have no issue with a committed Gay couple adopting, or a single person who has the means adopting. I do draw the line at wolves however. Here is a little known, and even less discussed family secret. I have a cousin who was raised by wolves, she turned out OK, but still likes to howl and eat raw meat during full moons. The good news is she is a great watchdog though, so there are advantages.
