Liberal logic: gays cannot be truly equal unless we teach pre-schoolers to cross dress

10 Mar

Batshit Crazy!

Homosexuality is a natural facet of mammalian life. It occurs in most species to some extent, but there is a biological reason for it. It occurs within a small minority and the biological reason is one of nature’s ways of  implementing population control.

There is no moral judgement in that. Gays should be entitled to equal rights, be free from all forms of discrimination and Gay marriage can actually be beneficial for society.

But it’s a far cry from that to saying homosexuality, something that occurs in about 2% of the population, is ‘normal’ or that gender is something that can be a choice.

These ideas are part of the idiocy fostered in places like the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where some programs are comprised of majority Gay students and staff, and by their willing accomplices at Ontario’s Ministry of Education and by the ridiculous leadership of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

Among the latest absurd attempts at social engineering, the TDSB wants to encourage cross-dressing in children as young as pre-school.

Pre-school?

Among the books recommended to kids in pre-school to Grade 3 by the TDSB’sPositive Spaces Resources is a book called My Princess Boy, the protagonist of which is a young boy who wears dresses and a tiara.

Evidently being Gay-positive isn’t enough for the TDSB, it now wants, at the youngest age, to encourage boys to be flaming queens.

In a system where most children can’t name all Canada’s provinces and provincial capitals, it’s heartening to know that they spend so much time emphasising  `gender choices.“

It`s hardly any wonder that so many university professors are noticing that students entering post-secondary studies don`t even know how to properly punctuate a sentence.

But at least Toronto`s public schools are giving them a head-start on learning how to accessorize.

Remember folks what the Left calls education, is actually indoctrination.

Wacky college students in Berkeley want Salvation Army banned from campus

6 Dec

Once again, the far Left exposes just how discriminatory, and ignorant they are

The student government at the University of California-Berkeley (CAL) passed a resolution last month that would ban Salvation Army bell ringers and their iconic red kettles from campus this Christmas because of the Christian organization’s alleged bias against homosexuality.

In other words, because the Salvation Army dares to be a Christian charity, that helps anyone who needs it by the way, thy must be prevented from raising funds to help the needy. Odd, as much as the Left throws around the charge of extremism against anyone they disagree with, it is the Left that is truly extreme.

The resolution, cleared on November 14, accuses the charity of openly discriminating against gay individuals.

“Salvation Army church services, including charity services, are available only to people ‘who accept and abide by the Salvation Army’s doctrine and discipline,’ which excludes homosexuality,” reads the bill, SB 176.

This charge is patently false. it would seem that ignorance, gross ignorance in this case is part of the Left’s bigotry.

“Allowing the Salvation Army to collect donations on campus is a form of financial assistance that empowers the organization to spend the money it raises here in order to discriminate and advocate discrimination against queer people,” it adds.

In a statement to Campus Reform, the Salvation Army adamantly denied these charges, saying the allegations are based solely on “internet rumors.”

“The notion that we require those we help to ‘accept and abide by the Salvation Army’s doctrine and discipline which excludes homosexuality’ to receive assistance is totally false,” wrote Kathy Lovin, a spokeswoman for the Salvation Army.

She added that “the only requirement for service from The Salvation Army is demonstrated need and our ability to meet it.”

So, in fact, the Salvation Army helps anyone regardless of who they do the Horizontal Bop with. Of course the willingness to believe the charges the student government of Cal make are part of the Left’s problem. Leftism, and Liberalism are ideologies of pessimism. Largely, Liberals and especially leftists are very pessimistic people. They seem to enjoy hearing that climate change will kill us all, Try telling one of them that the ice caps in the South pole are growing sometime. Not only will they not believe you, they will get angry at you. Of course, the Left also is addicted, or so it would seem, to being, or at least feeling like a victim. So, their pessimistic view of life is fed by internet rumors that anyone ought to see as bogus. It also explains why they are so easily fed the propaganda that the Democratic Party dishes out.

Look, someone did a study and found out what they should have known to start with

12 Jun

Some studies are simply unneeded it seems to me. Take this study that Chris Wysocki is blogging about. It would seem rather obvious that kids raised in traditional homes, that is homes with a mother and a father would do better than kids, in other types of homes.

Children who grow up in a stable household with a mother and a father generally turn out better than kids who don’t. Hardly a controversial statement, right?

Wrong. Because it challenges homosexual orthodoxy, and therefore it must be discredited. Never mind that the research is statistically sound and has been rigorously and objectively peer-reviewed. It’s anti-gay, and thus de facto evidence of a right-wing plot.

“I know children of gay parents and they’re perfectly well-adjusted!” seems to be a common refrain.(Obviously they’re not talking about the little boys Frank Lombard and his homosexual partner adopted though.) And I know the child of a lesbian couple who’s a total mess. Nevermind the heterosexual families which couldn’t be mistaken for The Brady Bunch.

So what. Anecdotes aren’t particularly relevent. And they’re not useful for promulgating public policy. Just because you can drive home after drinking two bottles of wine doesn’t necessarily mean everyone can.

As Chris notes, not EVERY child in a two-parent home will do well, some parents suck! And some kids raised by Gay parents, or single parents, or maybe even by wolves, will turn out great! There are exceptions to every rule. Well except for the rule that there are exceptions to every rule, there are no exceptions to that one. So, I suppose the saying out to go, there are exceptions to every rule but one, but I digress.

The fact is that nature, not me, nature provides a certain formula for the human species. Man + Woman=Kids and Family. And who am I, or you to argue with nature? Now, personally, I have no great issue with Gay marriage, sorry, I just don’t, it ought to be up to the individual states, with federal law protecting those states choices. Gay adoptions? Well, I think the FIRST choice ought to be a married couple, again, if you think that is not the best option, take it up with nature. But, kids need families, and love, and if a married couple is not found, I have no issue with a committed Gay couple adopting, or a single person who has the means adopting. I do draw the line at wolves however. Here is a little known, and even less discussed family secret. I have a cousin who was raised by wolves, she turned out OK, but still likes to howl and eat raw meat during full moons. The good news is she is a great watchdog though, so there are advantages.

Will Smith Gay Basher?

19 May

I wonder how the media will handle this.

Will Smith get a pass? Likely so, the media would have a field day if a Conservative had done this, but a Hollywood actor? Nah. This does point out the hypocrisy of the “Gay rights” activists though. Smith is more likely to catch grief than, say, his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith would if she had smacked a reporter who groped and tried to kiss her. Back in the early 1990′s I had a heated debate, in a bar with two pretty girls over “Homophobia”. How we got on the topic I forget, but at one point they asked me what I would do if a Gay man tried to kiss me. I believe my response was “knock him on his ass” or words to that affect. They accused me of being afraid of Gay people, an accusation they thought would shut me up. Instead of being silenced, I asked them what they would do if a man they did not know tried to kiss them. Without blinking, they said they would slap him, shove him away. Then you are Heterophobes I shot back. That gave them pause, until they came back with a typical Liberal response that there was no such things a Heterophobes.

As I have said before, Liberalism is largely an ideology of convenience. To these girls, one of whom I ended up dating for a few months, yes it was strictly physical, it was morally righteous to have such a blatant double standard. They wanted, or they thought, equal rights for Homosexuals, but they did not want to hold Homosexuals to equal expectations. To them, somehow, it was OK to hold straight guys to a higher moral standard than Gay guys. I suppose they never realized  that by imposing lower standards of decency upon Gay men, they were actually demeaning those men. But, again, Liberalism is an ideology of convenience. And, it would have been inconvenient for these girls to actually expect “equality” to include equality of behavioral standards.

Once again government puts politics over kids

31 Oct

Warner Todd Huston has the sad details of how PC is being given more sway than kids that need families!

Earlier this year, the state of Illinois moved to force religious-based children’s services to break their religious principles and give children in their charge to homosexual couples. Organizations such as Catholic Charities have been told by the state that they either break their religious principles or face being shut down by the state. So, pursuant to that agenda, the state has determined that all children currently in the hands of religious adoption agencies need to be removed immediately.

So, the State will uproot kids, and treat them as pawns in a game of PC?

So what was so bad that the State of Illinois felt it necessary to take all children away from religious-based organizations? Have there been cases of abuse? Perhaps children’s services from religious-based groups have been rated lowly? Have adopting parents complained?

None of the above. In fact, there is no substantive reason at all for this attack on religious-based children’s services in the Land of Lincoln. Well, no reason except for a left-wing, pro-homosexual political agenda, that is.

You see, the state received precisely one complaint about Catholic Charities. It was from an activist homosexual who complained that the religious-based adoption agencies in the state would not willingly give children up to homosexual couples.

Personally, I would prefer that a child be adopted by a Gay couple, if that couple were deemed suitable, than for the child to remain without a family. Of course, I think the optimal solution is for a married Hetrasexual couple to be given priority. But regardless of my own feelings, there is no reason for the Sate to act in this manner, none at all.

Once more Liberal ideology has, in the name of doing something “for the children” have completely disregarded the children. Why can’t Liberals just be honest, for once, and say, “it is for political correctness”?

Meet the new Imam, as bad as the old Imam

30 Jan

The new Imam pushing for the Ground Zero Mosque is heralded as a moderate by the Left. But, a closer look shows a very radical man.

The new imam at the Ground Zero mosque and cultural center believes people who are gay were probably abused as children and that people who leave Islam and preach a new religion should be jailed.

Abdallah Adhami’s remarks on homosexuals, religious freedom and other topics have brought renewed criticism of the proposed community center and mosque near the World Trade Center site, which purports to be an inclusive organization.

Adhami, in a lecture on the Web site of his nonprofit, Sakeenah, says being gay is a “painful trial” caused by past trauma.

“An enormously overwhelming percentage of people struggle with homosexual feeling because of some form of violent emotional or sexual abuse at some point in their life,” he says. “A small, tiny percentage of people are born with a natural inclination that they cannot explain. You find this in the animal kingdom at some level as well.”

He says gays must fight this “propensity.”

You might think this would outrage the Left, but alas, they will likely say nothing. Now, if he were a Baptist preacher……………….

Leftist Judge Blocks Parts Of Arizona Illegal Alien Law – Fox News

A federal judge on Wednesday blocked some of the toughest provisions in the Arizona illegal immigration law, putting on hold the state’s attempt to have local police enforce federal immigration policy.

Though the rest of the law is still set to go into effect Thursday, the partial injunction on SB 1070 means Arizona, for the time being, will not be able to require police officers to determine the immigration status of anyone they stop or arrest.

U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton also struck down the section of law that makes it a crime not to carry immigration registration papers and the provision that makes it a crime for an illegal immigrant to seek or perform work.

In all, Bolton struck down four sections of the law, the ones that opponents called the most controversial. Bolton said she was putting those sections on hold until the courts resolve the issues. The ruling said the Obama administration, which sought the injunction, is likely to “succeed on the merits” in showing the above provisions are preempted by federal law.

“The court by no means disregards Arizona’s interests in controlling illegal immigration and addressing the concurrent problems with crime including the trafficking of humans, drugs, guns, and money,” the ruling said. “Even though Arizona’s interests may be consistent with those of the federal government, it is not in the public interest for Arizona to enforce preempted laws.”

A number of provisions will still go into effect as the case is litigated. Arizona will be able to block state officials from so-called “sanctuary city” policies limiting enforcement of federal law; require that state officials work with federal officials on illegal immigration; allow civil suits over sanctuary cities; and make it a crime to pick up day laborers.

The ruling came just as police were making last-minute preparations to begin enforcement of the law and protesters were planning large demonstrations to speak out against the measure. At least one group planned to block access to federal offices, daring officers to ask them about their immigration status.

Supporters of the policy slammed the court’s decision. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., called the ruling “misguided.”

“The federal government has a right and a responsibility to enforce existing laws, but when they fail to meet that responsibility, we should not stand in the way of the states that take action to respond to the very real threat of border violence, drug cartels and human smuggling,” he said in a written statement. “There’s nowhere in the Constitution that says a state is limited to what it absolutely won’t do and can be stopped for what it might do and to exercise a judgment against a state that has passed a law that is consistent with existing federal law is beyond absurd.”

The volume of the protests will likely be turned down a few notches because of the ruling by Bolton, a Clinton appointee who suddenly became a crucial figure in the immigration debate when she was assigned the seven lawsuits filed against the Arizona law.
