No, Rep. Ellison, people like YOU make us less safe

Can someone explain to me how this fool ever got elected to anything?

By Rep. Keith M. Ellison, CNN:

Recent news that the New York Police Department presented the film “The Third Jihad” to nearly 1,500 officers is only the latest example of anti-Muslim training materials being used in ways that harm our national security.

The film baselessly contends that “the true agenda of much of Islam in America” is to “infiltrate and dominate America,” smearing a religion that has been part of this country since its founding. Incidents like these sound the alarm on the need for greater transparency and oversight of counterterrorism training at all levels of government.

As anyone who pays attention realizes, that IS the goal of many Islamic leaders and many Muslims across the globe.

The NYPD’s use of “The Third Jihad” is disturbing because it leaves officers with the impression that American Muslims are the enemy, not an ally against terrorism. This notion hurts the ability of law enforcement to do its job. No one knows this better than the brave officers who have stood up to such bigotry – it was NYPD officers who objected to the screening of the film, just as it was FBI agents who recently objected to using equally harmful training materials at the bureau.

“The Third Jihad” was produced by the Clarion Fund, a group that lacks national security credentials but is flush with cash. Far-right wing donors gave the Clarion Fund $18 million between 2001 and 2009 to drive their political agenda through Islamophobic films. The group mailed its last film, “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West,” to 28 million swing state voters weeks before the 2008 election.

My only question is this. Is Ellison just a useful idiot for radical Islamists, or does he KNOW and support the radical’s agenda? Either way, Rep. Ellison is not fit to hold office.

I might have to do all my home improvement shopping at Lowes

Lowes chose to stop advertising on a reality show called “All-American Muslim” . Seems simple enough right? Lowes certainly has a right to  not  advertise on a show doesn’t it? Not according to Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN)

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) also said Lowe’s is choosing to disregard the First Amendment.

Hmmm, is he actually saying a company choosing NOT to advertise on a show violates the first amendment? Clearly Ellison has no grasp on what our Constitution says.

“Our nation’s history is full of examples demonstrating how we have repeatedly torn down false divisions hate groups choose to create,” Ellison said in a statement.”But the struggle against bigotry and hatred must continue so we never give in to intolerance like Lowe’s Corporation has done.”

Ellison isn’t the only politician speaking out against Lowe’s. A state senator from Southern California said Sunday he was considering calling for a boycott.

A boycott? Good Grief!, but wait, it gets WORSE, the Left shows its totalitarian streak as well.

Calling the Lowe’s decision “un-American” and “naked religious bigotry,” Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, told The Associated Press he would also consider legislative action if Lowe’s doesn’t apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads. The senator sent a letter outlining his complaints to Lowe’s Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Niblock.

Legislative action? To what? Force a company to advertise where it does not wish to advertise? What is next? Will this Nanny Stater next seek a law that gives government control of where companies advertise? Stalin would be proud.

Some folks seem intent on bowing to radical Islam

A perfect example of this preemptive surrender of our values and principles is right here!

U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Richard Callahan visited the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis last night to address the fears and frustrations of Muslim Americans who worry they are being racially profiled and wiretapped — and to assure them that the Missouri Legislature’s attempts to ban Sharia law from being considered in state courts here could face Constitutional challenges.

Seated in front of a large Muslim audience during a town hall-style meeting at the Ballwin mosque, Callahan anchored a panel that included fellow federal attorneys (one of whom was Muslim American), as well as three members of the FBI.

The tenor of the night was polite and respectful, but several members of the crowd expressed anger over what they perceive to be rising trends of Islamophobia in America over the past couple years, citing people burning the Koran and communities banning mosques as examples.

“There is a worse kind of Muslim hatred recently,” said Adil Imdad, one of the event’s organizers. “Especially in the last two years, Islamophobia and fear-mongering have been spreading like wildfire, and it’s causing a lot of stress for our youth.”

The problem is now hitting a little closer to home, said Imdad, pointing to three bills currently circulating through the state legislature that seek to limit Sharia law (Islamic law) in Missouri courts. Sharia law could come into play in rulings considering child custody or prisoner rights for Muslims. As we’ve reported, the bills have become a source of controversy.

Callahan responded by hinting that, should anti-Sharia legislation get passed by the Missouri Legislature, it could be overturned by the federal courts. “The Department of Justice has a good history of challenging laws passed by state legislatures,” he said. “If some laws are passed, I think you will see challenges by the federal government on the constitutionality of them.”

Exactly what place does religious law have in a court of law in this nation? Where is the ACLU? Wanna bet they would be front and center were this a discussion of using Christian law in courtrooms?

Gee, I wonder who REALLY commits most, as in 80% of US terror attacks?

According to the D.O.J., it is radical Islamists! SHOCKER!

More than 80 percent of all convictions tied to international terrorist groups and homegrown terrorism since 9/11 involve defendants driven by a radical Islamist agenda, a review of Department of Justice statistics shows. Though Muslims represent about 1 percent of the American population, they constitute defendants in 186 of the 228 cases DOJ lists.

On Thursday, the House Homeland Security Committee holds its first hearing into radicalization among Muslim Americans. Critics have taken issue with the focus on one religious minority, but the DOJ list shows that radical Islamists are disproportionately involved in terror-related crimes.

Al-Qaida is involved in the largest number of prosecutions, representing 30 percent of the 228 terror cases involving an identified group. Hizballah-affiliated defendants are involved in 10.5 percent of the cases and Hamas is part of 9 percent. Pakistani-based Lashkar-e-Tayyiba was involved in 6.5 percent of the cases.

The Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka and the Colombian FARC lead the non-Islamist terrorist groups, combining for 14 percent of the total.

Someone might want to share this news with Eric Holder, and President Obama!
