Being able to choose to have an abortion makes for a “stronger America,” he concluded.

Gee I guess making a “mess” of their lives never occurred to them BEFORE they made a baby? But, Hell, consequences are like sooooo inconvenient! I mean how could Toure have ever become the bottom feeding junior race pimp in training if he had to take responsibility for the life he helped create? Bottom line is this. People like Toure are evil, sorry it is true. They place their convenience over the sanctity of human life. Such  moral retardation does not make Toure a thinker or introspective, and it damn sure does not make him a person who respects women. One more point, it is odd that a man so obsessed with his own skin color would go on TV and celebrate the killing of an innocent little Black baby. A baby denied the ultimate right because it was unfortunate enough to be created by two self-absorbed people.

We should all be seriously pissed when a normal five-year-old is ordered to undergo a psych evaluation for the crime of playing like five-year-olds have been playing forever.

This is, folks a symptom of the Leftism in our schools. It is not all in biased textbooks, or biased teachers. It is in the school policies, that are written, seemingly, by Communist indoctrinators. Schools are teaching our kids that violence is always bad, yes, including self-defense. We are teaching them that guns are always evil, that even mentioning the word gun is dangerous, and abnormal. Sort of like we have been teaching them that saying the word Jesus, or God is offensive and unwelcome. In fact, it seems that the agenda is more about erasing every last vestige of American culture, and our history is now deemed offensive, dangerous, and well, to use a word  a little kid might use, icky! This is not what schools ought to be doing, and if that does not upset you, or make you angry, then you ought to re-examine your view of things.

NSDAR is disappointed to learn that false and incorrect information has recently been circulated regarding the 2011 edition of the DAR Ritual and Missal and the use of the name Jesus Christ in prayers and other ceremonial events of the National Society. The purpose of this message is to clarify NSDAR’s position on the matter for anyone who has not previously viewed the blogs written by President General Merry Ann T. Wright.

First, the question was posed by a national media group that if the motto of DAR is God, Home and Country, then “…why is DAR taking out references to God…” in its printed material. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, as currently written, the 113 page Ritual and Missal contains over 300 references to “Almighty God,” “Great God our King” (America hymn), “Our Heavenly Father,” “Heavenly Father,” “God of Hosts,” “God,” “Lord,” “Eternal God,” “Your Holy Spirit,” “Lord your God,” “Gracious Lord,” “Almighty and Everlasting God,” “Gracious Father,” and similar variations.

Second, the allegation has been leveled that Chaplains and others have been told not to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Again, this is an absolute falsehood. Each Chaplain and other officers are strongly encouraged to create their own prayers into which they may insert the name of Jesus Christ as deemed appropriate for the occasion and the audience. It seems a statue of Jesus has caused one Atheist to contract a bad case of GODitis (a severe reaction to any mention of God, Jesus, Christmas, Christmas Trees, Santa Claus, Christmas parades, Christmas ornaments, the colors red and green, Frosty the Snowman, Rudloph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Bibles, crosses, intersections, (they look like crosses), church, Christianity, or manger scenes!)

A lawsuit seeking the removal of a Jesus statue near a Montana ski resort will go on after a national group of atheists and agnostics produced a local member who says he is offended by the religious symbol whenever he swooshes down the slopes.

The Knights of Columbus and four individuals had asked a judge to throw out the legal challenge because the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation had not named anyone actually harmed by the statue on federal land next to Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Without such a person, the Knights of Columbus argued, the foundation had no right to bring the lawsuit.

So the foundation found William Cox, an atheist who lives 15 miles from the northwestern Montana resort. Cox submitted a statement that says he frequently goes to Whitefish and has skied many times past the statue, which he considers religious and offensive.

That was good enough for U.S. District Judge Dana Christensen to deny the Knights of Columbus’ request Tuesday and to proceed with the lawsuit. A trial is scheduled for March.

“I could just say, `Hallelujah,”‘ Annie Laurie Gaylor, co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, said Wednesday. “It was very obliging of the judge to let it proceed.”

Did she just say Hallelujah? Isn’t that hypocritical? Seriously though, what lunacy is this? I apologize for my simple view of such cases but the constitution is very clear on freedom of religion. It says Congress “shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or the free exercise thereof”. That statue was not placed by an act of Congress, that statue does not respect any religious establishment, and NO, there never has been a right NOT to be offended. Because if there is, I should sue the soulless weasels at the Freedom From Religion Foundation because they piss me off! 

Just to be clear, I find it odd that the FFRF is not aware that they already are “free” from religion, it is right there in the constitution they are actively trying to erode. Maybe they are not aware that one person’s freedom from activity does not mean others have no right to that activity. Many people watch reality shows, and I despise reality shows. So, I do not watch them, simple! I would never seek a court to take those shows from others to protect my sensitivity!

One more note. If you observe those few Atheists that take part in the Fascist campaigns like this one, you will note that they are always screeching about Christians trying to “force” their views on others. Really? I think it is clear who is trying to force their views on others here! That is how thugs are. And yes these are thugs, nothing more.

Her remarks concerning how Republicans talk about religion is way off base as well. Frankly, if she actually LISTENED to Republicans, she might, or should I say WOULD see things differently.

My favorite part of Mila’s spiel is her remarks about a poor person in Georgia being Republican. Mila is shocked that any “poor” person could be Republican. Again, I suppose she thinks all Republicans are “rich”, another common lie repeated constantly by the Left.

All of this leads me to believe that Mila is A- worried about seeming hip and cool, which she thinks will be achieved by bashing Republicans. And B- that she, like most on the Left, is ignorant, and revels in that ignorance. I am sure Mila would tell us how open-minded and tolerant she is. She might even say that Republicans are stupid, or under educated. Poor Mila, she not only does not seem to know much, she doesn’t suspect anything either. Talk about under educated! But look on the bright side Mila, you still have your looks.

Imagine a world in which admitting your attraction to busty women or tall men led to alienation, jail time, or your murder. Older gay men can probably remember such an era, but nowadays most sexual appetites have been mainstreamed to the point of banality. Pedophiles, for obvious reasons, don’t enjoy the same kind of tolerance, and thus it seems as if they may be locked forever in a sexual prison from the moment they’re born….

No, I do not wish to imagine such a world, who the Hell would? Attraction between adults is natural, and normal, and quite necessary for the species to continue. Teens being attracted to each other is normal as well. An adult looking at a teen and saying they are handsome, or pretty, nothing wrong there either. But an adult, looking at a child and wanting to have sex with them? Not normal, not healthy, and no rational person would argue that it is.

The old adage is that the true mark of a society is how it treats the weakest in its ranks. Blacks, women, Latinos, gays and lesbians, and others are still in no way on wholly equal footing in America. But they’re also not nearly as lowly and cursed as men attracted to children. One imagines that if Jesus ever came to Earth, he’d embrace the poor, the blind, the lepers, and, yes, the pedophiles. As a self-professed “progressive,” when I think of the world I’d like to live in, I like to imagine that one day I’d be OK with a man like Terry moving next door to me and my children. I like to think that I could welcome him in for dinner, break bread with him, and offer him the same blessings he’s offered me time and again. And what hurts to admit, even knowing all I know now, is that I’m not positive I could do that.

That last part is what really gets me. What kind of fool would ever allow a pedophile near their children? Frankly, that is simply NOT normal. The normal reaction to such an idea for a parent would be, Hell no! Even if you truly believed that such a person might have changed, the risk to your child would disallow any parent to even weigh the option. There is a line between forgiveness and stupidity, any parent who could pen such gibberish has clearly crossed that line. To be brutally clear here, the author of this piece Cord Jefferson, is so morally retarded that they long for a world where a “reformed” child molester might be welcomed in their home, near their kids? I guess it might be OK if they were truly “reformed” but sorry, some actions are so heinous as to preclude the perpetrator ever being trusted again. Of course, to expect a Liberal to grasp that is beyond hope I guess.

And this means that when Kaitlin Nootbaar, valedictorian at Prague High School— home of the Red Devils— employed the word “hell” in a quote during her valedictory speech, David Smith the principal of Prague High School— home of the Red Devils— decided to hold her diploma hostage until she had composed and submitted a letter of apology.

So, a school with a Red Devil for a mascot has contracted a nasty case of Offendeditis over the word Hell? Sorry, I am sure there will be a few folks who agree with the decision of the principal, but he ought to be fired for this gross abuse of his authority. If I were in the position to do so, I would fire him so fast his head would fall off. Yes, that might seem over the top, but I am long past sick and tired of schools punishing students for nothing, or exacting punishments that are far too severe to fit the behavior of students.

I could write for hours about how many kids have been hurt by “zero tolerance” rules. Kids punished in one fashion or other for, and this is just a short list, having a GI Joe doll, drawing a picture of a soldier, playing cops and robbers, pointing their finger, and in one case a chicken tender and saying “bang”, having Midol, having a water pistol, talking about hunting, hugging, mentioning Jesus, or God in graduation speeches, kissing a girl on the cheek, and the little boy who called his teacher, brace yourself, pretty!

Simply unfathomable that such morons are allowed anywhere near kids.

The danger of too much “tolerance”

Tolerance, genuine tolerance that is, is not a negative thing. It is, rather, a positive thing that we all ought to practice. The Liberal version of tolerance, however, is not about true tolerance. Instead, it is about silencing those that embrace views that are not Liberal-Approved. It is also about a pursuit of absurd definitions of sensitivity, and equality, that rewards whiners and malcontents while stripping away individual freedom of expression. A Grade 12 student in Nova Scotia has been suspended for wearing a T-shirt publicizing his religious beliefs.

The South Shore Regional School Board suspended William Swinimer from Forest Heights Community School in Chester Basin for five days for wearing a shirt emblazoned with the words, “Life is wasted without Jesus.”

School board Supt. Nancy Pynch-Worthylake said the wording on the shirt is problematic because it is directed at the beliefs of others.

“If I have an expression that says ‘My life is enhanced with Jesus,’ then there’s no issue with that, everybody is able to quickly understand that that’s my opinion about my own belief,” she said.

“If the shirt were to say ‘Without Jesus, your life is a complete waste,’ then that’s clear that it is an opinion aimed at somebody else’s belief.”

Yes, I can see how that shirt could offend, perhaps it could be worded better, but that is not the point. The point is that, in life, some things you see, read, hear, and experience will, hold your breath now, offend you! The Liberal doctrine of tolerance seeks to create a human right, at least for those on the Left, to never be offended. There could be no more foolhardy or inane venture to undertake.

The cold, hard fact is that EVERYTHING offends someone. Face it, offense goes hand in hand with freedom of speech. Yes, stunning isn’t it? Anytime anyone expresses an opinion on any subject, from sports, to religion, to politics, they risk offending someone. To quote our vice-president big f@#*ing deal! I have been offended hundreds of times, so has everyone else, as I said earlier it is part of life.

The danger of pursuing the course the political correctors have charted for us all is this. Any effort to curb offensive things will automatically curb freedom of expression as well. That, in my view is the Left’s goal. They would love to over sensitive us all to a point where we are all afraid of speaking our minds. At that point, it would not matter if we had freedom of speech would it? Sure, we would have the freedom, but we would be too “tolerant” to ever use it. 

We would too scared that we would be called  a bigot, or racist, or insensitive, or whatever. And, folks, look around, that is the reality we are starting to see. Think of all the people who have lost jobs, or had their reputations, or political careers ruined over some “intolerant” remarks. The Left’s vision is creeping into our reality, that must stop.

Of course, there will be those that call me all kinds of names, simply because I defended the right to speak our minds. But, frankly, I could not care less about them or their backasswards view of the world. Yes, their views offend me to the very core, but so what? I will never seek to silence their views. I can take any offensive words, what I cannot take is losing my voice to the false prophets of tolerance!

And, if anything I wrote here offended anyone, then all I can say is TOUGH! Deal with it!

 A Christian prayer by a city councillor at a City of Saskatoon volunteer appreciation dinner discriminated against non-Christians, says a volunteer who intends to complain to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.

Ashu Solo, a member of the city’s cultural diversity and race relations committee, was among the guests at the dinner Wednesday, where Coun. Randy Donauer said a blessing over the food in which he mentioned Jesus and ended with “amen.”

“It made me feel like a second-class citizen. It makes you feel excluded,” said Solo, who is an atheist.

“It’s ironic that I’ve now become a victim of religious bigotry and discrimination at this banquet that was supposed to be an appreciation banquet for the service of volunteers like me.”

No Ashu, you are a victim of your own over-inflated sense of self-importance and your own love of playing the victim! People like you deserve to spend a month in a country that REALLY discriminates and oppresses people. Then you might appreciate what freedom REALLY is!

Neighbor says Zimmerman looked “banged up”

TAMPA – One of George Zimmerman’s neighbors is speaking out, saying looks can be deceiving.

Despite booking video from the Sanford Police Department that many say shows George Zimmerman largely unscathed from his encounter with Trayvon Martin, the neighbor said he saw Zimmerman with obvious injuries.

The neighbor is talking for the first time about what he saw on George Zimmerman’s face less than 24-hours after Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin.

“I saw George. He was banged up. His head had two big bandages, that weren’t flat, had a bump on them,” the neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said.

He described where the injuries were.

“I seen him have a big bandage on his nose and his nose swollen. On the side, where his eyes were at, it was swollen,” he said.

He points out exactly where on a picture.

“I seen the bandage right here, and this side of his nose and this side of his nose was swollen.

The surveillance video was released by Sanford police of Zimmerman when he was brought in for questioning after the shooting. Bruises and bandages aren’t visible, but you can see an officer looking at the back of his head.

“Once you get into a fight you don’t show bruises that day, it shows the next day,” he said

That is often true isn’t it? Some might question why the neighbor chose not to be identified. Well, maybe they do not want the Black Panthers looking for them, or maybe they do not want Spike Lee tweeting their address. Just a thought

In the following clip, Barker did not hedge in explaining why he found the nativity scene so offensive, saying it represented “an insult to human nature that we are all doomed and damned,” before being interrupted by a defensive, though polite Bolling, who tried to get the conversation back to the much less interesting discussion of how different local municipalities govern and free speech.

But Barker seemed eager to insult Christianity, saying again “what an insult that we are degraded to be praising the exact Jesus created a place of hell.” Bolling quickly interjected, reminding his guest that it was “his show” and that he would not abide having a guest denigrate the name of Jesus Christ on his show. Something about love thy enemy?

It is well past time that people stopped being polite or accommodating to Statists like Dan Barker. They are no better than the Klan, or any other hate group, and are intent on forcing their will on everyone else.

(The Hill) — Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) said Thursday morning that government spending cuts will end up hurting African Americans disproportionately.

In comments on the House floor, Rangel warned blacks would be disproportionately hurt because many African Americans have sought work in the public sector for reasons related to job security.

“And so many African-Americans, for reasons that I do not have to go into, have sought public service as a way of life because of the security that’s involved in it,” Rangel said on the House floor. “And so, when we talk about cutting the budget and cutting the services that are provided, we’re talking about a larger number of minorities that would be losing their jobs as a result of budget cutting.”

When will Blacks stop buying the loads of BS that race pimps like Rangel constantly dish out? I think it is safe to say that more and more Blacks are abandoning the victim pimping the Democrats engage in. And nothing could be better for them than to abandon the Democratic ranks in droves.

Local veterans and volunteer groups are accusing Department of Veterans Affairs officials of censoring religious speech — including banning the word “God” — at Houston National Cemetery.

In one example cited in documents filed this week in federal court, cemetery director Arleen Ocasio reportedly told volunteers with the National Memorial Ladies that they had to stop telling the families, “God bless you,” at funerals and that they had to remove the words “God bless” from condolence cards.

There was a time when this type if thing just did not happen, then the “tolerant Left” began to get some influence and sway, and now? Now it is amazing just how intolerant the “tolerant Left” is

According to court documents, Ocasio banned members of the groups from using certain religious words such as “God” or “Jesus,” censored the content of prayer, and forbade the use of religious messages in burial rituals unless the deceased’s family submitted the text to her for prior approval.

Court documents also describe the closure of the cemetery’s chapel after Ocasio’s appointment as director two years ago.

“The doors remain locked during Houston National Cemetery operating hours, the cross and the Bible have been removed, and the Chapel bells, which tolled at least twice a day, are now inoperative,” the complaint reads. “Director Ocasio only unlocks the Chapel doors when meetings or training sessions are held at the building. Furthermore it is no longer called a ‘chapel’ but a ‘meeting facility.’”

So, a veterans cemetery is banning the word God? In essence this is akin to spitting on all of those graves.

My sweet, nephew, Logan Alexander Meyer, passed away today suddenly, he was only 3 months old and my entire family is in shock. I am not sure how this will impact my blogging, right now, The fact is, this blog and then regular visitors and those I link often are, in  away, like family, and Lord knows I need all the friends I can get right now. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea. And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
