My first thought when someone mentions Joe Scarborough is………..

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough says the senators who voted against expanded background checks for gun buyers on Wednesday are providing “the opportunity for terrorists, for gang members, for criminals, for violent rapists” to purchase firearms. 

“I got to say just really quickly, I know we got to go to break, but Mark Halperin, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, voting against background checks for terrorists, voting against background checks for violent rapists, voting against background checks for gang members — I don’t know that she really helped her cause in New Hampshire for re-election, did she?”

The former Florida congressman then declared the Republican Party is “moving toward extinction.”

So, is Scarborough actually saying that terrorists, rapists, and gang members do not have to go through background checks now? Of course not Joe, and this bill would not have forced them to go through background checks either. I will say this slowly Joe. Terrorists, gang members and violent felons do not obey laws. they get guns ILLEGALLY now, and no new law will suddenly force these evil beasts to transform into law-abiding citizens.

On today’s Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough said that a Senior Fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum testifying in favor of assault rifles looked “like a jackass.”

Gayle Trotter, who holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia and is the co-founder of a D.C. law firm, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday.  She argued that having an assault rifle could help a woman defend herself and her children against intruders. Immediately after playing a clip of her testimony, Scarborough said: “if you go out and try to defend assault weapons, then you end up looking like a jackass.” Mika Brezezinski agreed: “I’m sorry, but that’s true.”

A jackass Joe? Really, I would say a jackass is someone who, on national TV uses a term, “assault weapon” that was not even in existence until 1989, when gun control zealots invented it to stir up fear. I would say a jackass is someone who mocks a woman for having an opinion. And I would say a jackass is someone who refuses to defend Trotter’s main point which is that a weapon like an AR-15 CAN be a very good one for a woman in defending her home. I would hope that Joe would at least offer to shed some reality on the subject. Of course, I would also say jackass applies to your co-host Mika, who laughs, as if what Trotter says is just the most ridiculous things she has ever heard. Mika, of course is a special case, a woman who simply lives in her own little bubble world where things like reality do not apply. She is a hateful woman, and there is Scarborough, licking her feet everyday, looking very much like the poster boy for wimpy men every day. I bet Joe owns LOTS of sweater vests, just sayin’.

 

Could Scarborough possibly be a bigger tool?

The former Republican Congressman sneered at the National Rifle Association, suggesting that the gun group is promoting the “big lie” that government will come after most guns.

Scarborough insisted the “the big lie has worked for years.” He added, “…If they take away your military-style assault weapons, take away the AR-15, they’re going to take your hunting rifle, they’re gonna take your handgun, which of course is a big lie.”

It’s like this, you schmuck: while the destruction of liberty continues ‘at a medium pace’, no rational observers doubt that this is what is going on. Scarborough, your Neville Chamberlain-esque reassurances excite no one, with the possible exception of Chris Matthews.

Scarborough is a fraud, he sounds different far different from the mid 1990′s when he serve in the House. Now, he is simply a “Republican” in permanent token status at MSNBS. He is gutless.

Apparently working at MSNBS has destroyed Morning Joe’s ability to think

“People in the White House understand this; they’re going to have to go to Hollywood — their base — and say, ‘You guys are a part of this too. You’re going to have to come to the table and you either enforce yourselves, or we may have to take some steps.”

Good grief! What is it some people. They cannot grasp reality. Some psycho goes on a rampage, and people try to blame everything but the psycho! It is not guns, they are inanimate objects, and they are more often used by Americans to stop, or prevent the attempt of a crime, than they are to commit crimes. It is not movies, or video games either. The movies and games some try to blame are played, or viewed by millions of people who never act anything out. It is the SICK mind that causes these types of murder sprees. Blaming a book, or movie, or gun, or game is asinine. If those things “caused” mass killings, we would see mass killings every hour frankly.

Scarborough doubles down on stupid though, advocating the government determine take charge. Has Joe become a Statist? He sounds like one here. Looking for the government to use censorship to end school killings like the one in Newtown? Gee I wonder what video game Cain was playing before he snapped and killed Abel?

 

A note to Joe Scarborough

 

Joe, Joe, Joe, you ignorant ass. Let’s see if we can get this straight. Your network, MSNBS, has quite the history of being dishonest in their reporting, even doctoring video and audio at times. YOU got busted doing that, and now you are throwing a hissy fit at those bloggers that are exposing your BS? I saw at Dan Riehl’s blog some comments you made

If that’s what he wants, we should give it to him.

Calling them “Cheetos-eaters living in their mothers basements,” Joe Scarborough, angered by criticism by conservative bloggers of a segment on last weeks Morning Joe, has told them to boycott the show. Via NewsBusters.org.

Unfortunately, the latest ratings don’t provide an air time. If there is anyone out here watching it who isn’t watching a recording  because they’re paid to watch it as a media monitor of some sort,  you could really help out the boycott effort by letting conservatives know what time it actually airs. I’d hate to tune in accidentally while flipping channels, or something, and violate the boycott.

Now Joe, to me boycotting your show is distasteful, for one thing, I do not like boycotts all that much. For another, our network, MSNBS is what I lie to call the Tree of Low-Hanging Blogging Fruit. That means that any blogger can find oodles of content to blog about anytime they check out MSNBS. By the way Joe, those sad ratings you have, I hope you realize WHO is tuning in to your show, and every other show on your network. There are people like me, picking from the Tree of Low-Hanging Blogging Fruit, and then, there are the buffoons that actually believe the lies MSNBS spews everyday. that IS your audience Joe. You have the nut jobs, and you have those that tune in to mock you.

Now, one more thing Joe, I must correct your definition of what bloggers are. Yes some of us DO eat Cheetos, and other snacks, but I rarely do that while blogging. For one reason that orange stuff gums up the keyboard, and for another, I could choke on a Cheeto while laughing at the idiocy that flows from your network. And let’s be honest here. No blogger wants to become a blog headline that reads “Blogger chokes on Cheetos, Morning Joe’s laughable content to blame!” That would be humiliating, sort of like it would be humiliating to be a former Congressman who works for MSNBS. OK, choking on Cheetos is not THAT bad Joe, but you get my point.

And, the comment about getting out of our mother’s basement? Come on Joe! Can’t you be more original? Or here is a better idea, just try being an honest commentator Joe.

Newsbusters has the story of a jealous little man, one Joe Scarborough,who is jealous that Sarah Palin is far more successful than he is. Of course, Joe does have a show on MSNBS, which is like having no show at all of course, but seriously Joe, what is you problem with Sarah Plain?

In his newest Politico column, Joe Scarborough rips Sarah Palin whose “anti-intellectualism” threatens the GOP’s success in 2012. With a scathing indictment of Palin’s presidential aspirations, Scarborough asks Republicans secretly critical of Palin to stand up and voice their opposition to her presidential run.

Scarborough questions former Alaska governor’s basic intelligence for even considering running for the presidency, although he admits later in the article that Palin “is not a stupid woman” but “does not know what she does not know.”

“What man or mouse with a fully functioning human brain and a resume as thin as Palin’s would flirt with a presidential run?” Scarborough asks, discreetly mocking former Delaware Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell (R) for her belief that American scientists have infused human brain cells into mice.
 

Palin’s resume and her actions of the past two years “makes the political biography of Barack Obama look more like Winston Churchill’s” although Obama was a “little more than a glorified state senator before he entered the Oval Office,” the MSNBC host insisted.

Nothing here but petty jealousy if you ask me. Scarborough is a has been who never was, and whatever good sense he had he had to abandon upon joining MSNBS!

MSNBS exec defines unprofessional in an odd way

At least to me, and Da Techguy, and to most people who have an ounce of common sense. But, MSNBS is, well ya know

And while things have been relatively calm lately, there was a bit of a flare-up between two top hosts during the week. Scarborough described a rant by Olbermann on Scott Brown as “reckless” and “sad.” (Last night, Olbermann admitted to being “a little over the top lately. Sorry.”)

Griffin now tells Huffington Post’s Danny Shea that “this week’s issue came right up to the line,” and prompted a memo urging civility among the hosts.

MSNBC is THE place for viewers to get the best political analysis and opinion in today’s vast marketplace of ideas. We don’t tell our hosts what to say. We don’t have talking points. We encourage our talent to voice their opinions strongly and smartly, always rooted in fact. All of this has brought us great success, culminating in last year’s victory over CNN.

Hosts strongly voicing their OWN opinions can no-doubt lead to spirited, substantive disagreements. This debate is encouraged. What we’re doing at MSNBC is something our competition is not. And it is difficult. We have many strong personalities with differing, passionate opinions, but it is important to remember that we are all on the same team. I want to reiterate my long-standing policy: We do not publicly criticize our colleagues. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and will not be tolerated.

As Da Techguy notes, MSNBS has dedicated its’ nightime line up to pandering to the far Left, and I suppose Griffin is more concerned with kissing Leftist ass than having any credibility.
