The difference between a hooker and a politician?

21 May

The hooker will at least let you screw her after she gets your money, politicians just screw you after TAKING your money!

I seem to remember some politicians promising us that newly legalized immigrants would not be able to receive welfare benefits. I must have been mistaken, seeing that a Senate panel just approved welfare payments for those they want to legalize. But on the bright side, if any of the formerly illegal aliens is convicted of drunk driving three times they can be deported. (Not that this administration would do so. They regularly ignore laws, or parts of laws, that don’t jibe with their agenda.)

The SenateJudiciary Committee voted Monday to allow illegal immigrants who get legal status to begin collecting tax-welfare payments, as the panel spent a fourth day working through amendments to the massive immigration bill and party-line splits began to emerge.

In one major change, the committee voted 17-1 to make a third drunken-driving conviction a deportable offense for the newly legalized immigrants if at least one of those offenses occurs after they are approved for legal status….

Overall, the committee continued to maintain the delicate balance struck by the “Gang of Eight” senators who negotiated the 867-page bill: Quick legal status for illegal immigrants, but delaying citizenship rights until after the administration spends more money on border security, puts in place a new electronic verification system to check workers’ status, and enacts an entry-exit system to check visas at airports and seaports.

In previous days’ action, two Republican members of the Gang of Eight — Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jeff Flake of Arizona — joined with Democrats to block a series of GOP amendments to stiffen the bill’s security.

Any Republican that works with Democrats on this is a fool. The Democrats intend one thing. To get more Democratic voters into the nation. And what better way than to make government benefits available to these new immigrants. And while I know that these immigrants will not be able to vote, legally, I wonder something. If they do not have to show ID, because that would be RAAAAACIST, well, what is there to stop them from voting. And what is to stop Democrats from trying to grant them the right to vote? Patriotism? Yeah, that is a good one.

Lastly, anyone with any common sense knows that no immigration reform will ever work unless the border is secured FIRST! And we already know the Congress has no real interest in doing that. Any plan passed now will only further bloat our national debt, empower Democrats, and further weaken our national sovereignty. And if you disagree then you are a Tea Partier who wears fur and shows ID when you vote.

Remember the Name Bruce Carroll, South Carolina

Smitty opines on the question of supporting a Gay Republican

Props to Bruce Carroll:

I felt it best to resign from GOProud in advance of the CPAC conference this week so that my position in GOProud would not be a distraction from my serious deliberations regarding my potential future plans in South Carolina public service.

I wish only the best to my colleagues and fellow supporters of GOProud moving forward and I’ll always do what I can to be helpful from the crowd.

Over the next few weeks, I will be studying the resources, time and effort it would take to do my part in holding Lindsey Graham accountable for his voting record and his attitude toward the voters in South Carolina.

Feel free to disagree with me on the point, but I’m not holding anything against Carroll, sexual or otherwise. Hopefully we’ve the liberty to support great candidates without that translating into 100% endorsement of all that candidate’s personal choices, fashion or otherwise.

Some might disagree with Smitty. I will not be counted among them. I could not care less about Carroll’s love life. I care about his Conservative creds, period.

I have an interesting thought. Will Karl Rove support this “more diverse candidate” over the establishment guy, Lindsey Graham?

Confirmed! Milwaukee Police Chief is a political tool, does not speak for real cops

6 Mar

I posted a video of  Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn carrying the water for gun control groups a few days ago, and, as I said then, he is a political mouthpiece, nothing more. Now Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke has submitted a letter to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) accusing Flynn of being a ”mouthpiece for the Mayors Against Guns group.” I love being right

In his letter, Clarke criticized the way Flynn “shamefully” interrupted Graham when the Senator was making points or asking questions with which Flynn disagreed. Clarke also described Flynn as a man who holds an appointed position and therefore doesn’t have to answer to “a constituency of his own.”

Because of this, Clarke said Flynn is nothing more than a “mouthpiece for the Mayors Against Group that has made no secret of their desire to obliterate the Second Amendment.”

Added Clarke: “[Flynn's] viewpoint does not represent either my view on gun control nor countless other law-abiding citizens and gun owners in Milwaukee County.”

Flynn, and other “police officials” siding with radical groups like Mayors Against Guns are just yes men, seeking political favor. Liberals use them to show how law enforcement “support”s gun control. Never forget that fact.

If anyone is guilty of “McCarthyism”……..

18 Feb

….it would be Crazy legs Matthews and the rest of the gang of ass hats at MSNBS. They are the ones constantly throwing accusations of racism around, trying to demonize Conservatives. They just can’t help it I guess. People often accuse others of what they themselves are guilty of. Read what Matthews says about Sen. Ted Cruz and tell me he is not deflecting.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Lindsey Graham, and so was John McCain, not on this program but this week. It’s about tactics. Let’s take it back. I don’t know the man’s personality. I know he’s got an interesting background, he’s a brilliant gay in many ways, but the tactics. You know, I watched him in those hearings and I saw Joe McCarthy, I saw the way he was prosecuting the case, the way he was putting up evidence, innuendo, guilt by association. If some spokesperson, some flack for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, says he thinks we can do business with this guy more than some hawkish neo-con, is that indictment against him? But it turned into an indictment. I think it’s really being unfair and I think the Senate is going to circle the wagons and say this guy’s going in.

Maybe we should start calling him Chris “McCarthy” Matthews?

Selective Memory Syndrome strikes noted buffoon Chuck Hagel

17 Feb

Poor Chuck, his pathetic testimony before Congress is not his fault, he just cannot remember anything!

, U.S. Senator from Nebraska.

I might have said what I do not remember saying, but if I did, I did not mean it, I think.

Via Politico:

Chuck Hagel is disavowing a comment he reportedly made six years ago tying the State Department to Israel, according to South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Graham announced on “Fox News Sunday” that Hagel sent him a letter, saying that he did not recall making the remark in a 2007 speech at Rutgers University. In that speech, the former Republican senator from Nebraska reportedly said the State Department was an adjunct of the Israeli foreign minister’s office. Graham, also a Republican, called that alleged remark “disturbing,” as critics said it was part of a pattern where President Barack Obama’s nominee to be the next secretary of defense has taken stances seen as hostile to Israel.

But Hagel has furiously sought to rebut criticism over Israel and appears to have done so in his letter to Graham, who had sought clarification.

“He did not recall saying that,” Graham said of Hagel’s letter. “He disavows saying that. … If that’s true, that would end that matter.”

“I will take him at his word,” Graham said, “until something else comes along.”

Come on Lindsey! Wake up! He is LYING. Good Freaking Grief, just when I was ready to say some good things about the Senator Graham he reverts back to Wimp Mode!

Video: The president sinks further into the quagmire that is Benghazi! Watch the House Benghazi Hearings here

15 Nov

Lot on this video from Hannity. First, Obama admits that Susan Rice went on those five Sunday shows armed with White House talking points blaming a YouTube video for what happened in Benghazi. This also clearly proves that Obama LIED about the video being the cause of the Benghazi attacks. Then there is Senator Lindsey Graham, who is clearly angry, as we all should be, over Benghazi. Graham has been criticized by Conservatives, including me, often for being too soft on Conservative principles. But, to his credit, Graham is at his best here!  He lays the ultimate blame where it obviously lies, at the feet of President Obama.

Third, there is the tragedy of how the media covered this presser. They asked nothing substantive, preferring to lob softball questions.

Back to Susan Rice for a moment. She may become the Secretary of State, if Obama gets his wish. How is she qualified exactly? She lied on those Sunday shows, KNOWING she lied. We know she lied because we know the intelligence she had screamed terror attack, not a flash mob response to a video. So, she either lied on her own, or she went and lied at the request of the White House. Should we be promoting people who possess so low character as this? Donald Douglas has a video of Krauthammer talking about Susan Rice

Fox News is streaming the House Benghazi Hearing you can check that out here

And yes, OF COURSE the Left has pulled out their tattered old Race Cards

*AUDIO* Mark Steyn: ‘I Think Lindsey Graham Is Unfit For Office’

9 Apr

Now why didn’t I think of calling Lindsey Graham a wretched buffoon?

4 Apr

Mark Steyn beat me to it!

I was waiting for Mark Steyn’s response to Lindsey Graham’s “free speech is a good idea but . . .” remark, and here it is.

I have no expectations of Harry Reid or the New York Times, but I have nothing but total contempt for the wretched buffoon Graham.

A mob of deranged ululating blood-lusting head-hackers slaughter Norwegian female aid-workers and Nepalese guards — and we’re the ones with the problem?

I agree with the Instaprof: Lindsey Graham is unfit for office. The good news is there’s no need for the excitable lads of Mazar e-Sharif to chop his head off because he’s already walking around with nothing up there. And, as for his halfwitted analogy with World War II, he’s too ignorant to realize it but he’s singing the dhimmi remake of an ancient Noel Coward satire.

In my defense, I WAS the first to call Lindsey Graham the Lindsay Lohan of the GOP!

A brilliant piece on blaming everyone else for radical Islam EXCEPT Radical Islamists!

4 Apr

Daniel Greenfield hits this out of the park!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wants an investigation into Koran burning. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer suggested that this form of free speech could be banned. Senator Lindsey Graham is also looking for ways to limit free speech, saying, “Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war”.

Free speech is more than a great idea, it’s a fundamental freedom untouchable by legislators. But all it takes is a few Muslim murders– and Reid, Breyer and Graham eagerly hold up their lighters to the Constitution. Free speech has been curtailed before in the United States during a time of war– but only free speech sympathetic to the enemy. During WW1 a suspected German propagandist filmmaker was jailed. But could anyone have imagined anti-German propagandists being jailed? The Wilson administration was behaving unconstitutionally, but not insanely.

Today we aren’t jailing filmmakers who traffic in anti-American propaganda in wartime. If we did that half of Hollywood would be  behind bars. Instead Democratic and Republican Senators are discussing banning speech offensive to the enemy. Because even though they’re killing us already– we had better not provoke them or who knows how much worse it will become.

Traditionally it’s the victors who give their laws to the defeated. But massive immigration at home and nation building occupations abroad mean that the defeated of failed states are imposing their Sharia law on us. We’re asked to trade in our Constitutional freedoms out of fear of Muslim violence. And so the murderers impose the terms of peace on us. And then don’t abide by them.

Violence in the Muslim world is a constant. We have been fighting Muslim violence since George Washington’s time. And we have been subject to it even longer. Whether it’s Muslims killing Hindus, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians or any and every religion under the sun– there is a pattern here. It’s a story as old as time. And it’s not one that we can stop by ladling out honeyed words of appeasement.

Senator Graham warns us to shut up in a time of war– but is there any foreseeable future in which we won’t be fighting in a Muslim country? Democrats elected the most anti-war candidate of the bunch only to see him begin his 2012 reelection campaign by bombing another Muslim country. And what’s surprising about that. Most of the trouble spots in the world that directly or indirectly affect us are located in Muslim countries. The major threat to the United States comes from the Muslim world. And that means we’re going to be tied up dealing with the Muslim world in one way or another, whether as soldiers, diplomats or aid workers. And even if we weren’t– there are hundreds of thousands of Americans still living and working in Muslim countries. Hostages to the latest Muslim temper tantrum.

As Muslim terror has gotten worse, we have started treating the Muslim world like a ticking bomb– tiptoeing around them to avoid setting them off. Whatever they don’t like about us, we’re willing to change. The paradigm of the angry dog or the ticking bomb means that we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Whatever you do, the dog mauls you and the bomb blows up. But by pretending that you control the situation, you can feel better about your role in the outcome.

When a man teases a dog on the other side of a chain link fence– we blame the man for provoking the dog, not the dog for being provoked. Animals have less of everything that makes for accountability. And so don’t hold them accountable. Instead we divide them into categories of dangerous and harmless, and treat them accordingly.

Our response to Muslim violence in Afghanistan, supposedly touched off by a Koran burning in Florida, uses that same canine logic. The Muslims are dangerous and violent, so whoever provokes them is held accountable for what they do. Don’t tease a doberman on the other side of a chain link fence and don’t tease Muslims on the other side of the border or the world. That’s the takeaway from our elected and unelected officials.

Man, this is an incredible piece, please make sue top read it all!

Pat Austin: It is not just any crap sandwich!

15 Dec

It is a crap sandwich made with real bipartisan crap!

I’ll be perusing the Ever-Loving-Crap-Sandwich-Lobotomy-Inducing-Piece-of-Bovine-Excrement Omnibus bill throughout the day, as many others will be doing, and as I do, I’d like to point out that it’s not just Democrats, of course, who have loaded this piece of junk with earmarks.

Several “Republicans” had added their two cents worth as well, including Mitch McConnell who has included a request for “$650,000 for a genetic technology center at the University of Kentucky.”  Sen. Lindsey Graham “has a $379,000 earmark to study port dredging in Charleston.”

Hollywood has Lindsay Lohan, the GOP has Lindsey Graham

5 Dec

Lindsey Graham, Republican Senator from South Carolina, continues to illustrate why he is nothing but a bimbo, and should not be taken seriously, ever!

So Senator Lindsey Graham is now trying to educate the Tea Party that their choices in candidates are not up to par with what he considers appropriate choices.

“The House had a dramatic election. We picked up seats in the Senate. Some of us thought, maybe we could pick up two or three more, but we made some pretty poor choices when it came to candidates.”

C-Span has the video.

Oh of course, those darned Tea Party people screwed up the eletions for the GOP! I suppose they should have listened to the likes of Sen. Graham? I  mean, it certainly was not the shenanigans of lily livered RIBNOs like Graham that hurt the GOP in 2006 and 2008 was it?

Did I hear someone say Lindsay Graham was a joke?

14 Apr

Not the kind of joke that makes you laugh, the kind that is so awful, you just kind of stand there, shaking your head in absolute disgust!

Lindsey Graham has a plan sure to please that 3%, and his Senate Democrat friends are happy to have him along for the ride:

Leading voices in the Senate are considering a new tax on gasoline, as part of an effort to win Republican and oil industry support for the energy and climate bill now idling in Congress.

The tax, which according to early estimates would be in the range of 15 cents a gallon, was conceived with the input of several oil companies, including Shell, BP and Conoco Phillips, and is being championed by Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

It is shaping up as a critical but controversial piece in the efforts by Graham, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) to write a climate bill that moderate Republicans could support. Along those lines, the bill will also include an expansion of offshore oil drilling and major new incentives for nuclear power plant construction.

Lindsey Graham, the Forrest Gump of the GOP!

Is Lindsey Graham the most useless Republican?

10 Mar

It is a question I have been pondering lately. It seems that every time you turn around there is Lindsey, trying to stick a knife in your back. The Classic Liberal has a good post up today that illustrates the uselessness of Sen. Graham.

The federal government just can’t quench its thirst for power and control.

Now, under the false flag of immigration reform, Lindsey Graham and his fellow progressive Chuck Schumer, want to force all Americans to carry a biometric ID card!

Ah, Senator Gramnesty strikes again. Comprehensive immigration reform is a sham, and amnesty. Graham obviously holds no interest in protecting national sovereignty, or securing our borders, and this idea of a “National ID Card” ought to give any sane person pause.

As Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are working on a Senate version of comprehensive immigration reform and it includes a very controversial idea. There is a provision in the draft bill to force all Americans to possess a biometric ID card. Sources on Capitol Hill confirm to Big Government that the idea of a national ID card is part of the comprehensive immigration reform bill being negotiated between Graham and Schumer.

For those who mistrust big government and treasure freedom, this idea should be revolting and a shocking example of a bad idea run wild. American citizens’ freedoms have been eroding over the past few years, yet this idea is much more than an erosion of rights. It is an all out assault on the idea that Americans have a natural right to be free of government monitoring

Absolutely correct. This is about Big Brother, and Graham, ought to know better. and, sadly, he likely does, which is why he is the most useless of all the Republicans. He is a Republican addicted to acting like a Liberal. Every time you think Lindsey has turned the corner, he put on his Liberal hat and starts getting freaky with Liberal asshats like Schumer.

Michelle has a tidy run down of Senator Useless’s Dances with Democrats act.

He’s holding hands with John Kerry to push carbon caps and unrepentant global warming cultism.

He’s collaborating with the White House to close down Gitmo.

And he’s schmoozing with Chuckie Schumer on another illegal alien amnesty campaign — an effort that has been in the works for months.

See my friends. With Republicans like this, fighting against us, who needs Democrats?

South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham is a flop. He pretends to be a conservative, but sells out conservatives and insults them while doing so. He pretends to be effective at reaching across party lines, but the only thing he effectively does is help the other party. He inhabits the Senate seat of Strom Thurmond, legendary for great attention to his South Carolina constituents, but Graham spends most of his time trailing behind John McCain like a valet as McCain criss-crosses the country in pursuit of the presidency. He called Ted Kennedy “one of the most principled men I’ve ever met.” In sum, in the words of conservative movement stalwart Richard Viguerie, “Lindsey Graham is part of the problem.”

What, for example, could possibly have possessed Graham, in April of 2006, to write an essay for Time magazine about the virtues of Hillary Clinton? He called her “a smart, prepared, serious senator.” She is “sought out by her colleagues to form legislative partnerships.” She has managed to “build unusual political alliances with…conservatives.”

He praises liberals, but reserves particular venom for conservatives who disagree with him. The most infamous example came at a speech to the utterly radical Hispanic group La Raza — it was bad enough that he spoke to them, much less what he said — when he described what he would do to opponents of the awful immigration proposal he helped Ted Kennedy craft: “We’re going to tell the bigots to shut up.” The idea that only a bigot could oppose the Kennedy amnesty plan was a recurring theme with Graham: On This Week, he told George Stephanopoulos that opponents were like those in earlier years who put up signs that said “No Catholics, no Jews, no Irish need apply.”

MEANWHILE, GRAHAM deserves every bit of abuse conservatives can heap on him for his record on judicial nominees, which swings back and forth between pathetically ineffective and absolutely counterproductive. Of his leading role in the “Gang of 14,” which saved the Democrats’ unprecedented option of filibustering President Bush’s nominees, Graham clearly thought his gesture of goodwill would win him some chits with Democrats. Think again. Right now his home circuit, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, suffers from the most serious official “judicial emergency” in the country, with only 10 of the 15 seats filled.

Again and again, Graham has stood by helplessly, without seeming to lift a finger in public protest, as Fourth Circuit nominees have been hung out to dry — except for the time (more on this later) when he himself was the enthusiastic hangman. Even though he sits on the Judiciary Committee, he cannot even secure a hearing for his home-state nominee, the superbly qualified, Reagan Administration veteran Steve Matthews, who has been waiting for eight solid months. On the other hand, more aggressive Republicans on the committee have had far more success: For instance, John Cornyn of Texas has effectively shepherded Texans Jennifer Elrod and Catherina Hayes to confirmation since the Democrats re-took the Senate majority — and without once sucking up to the Democrats to do it.

USELESS! Utterly useless! Lindsey Graham is like a screen door in a sub-marine, like an elevator in an outhouse, like tits on a boar, he is a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest, he is, Lindsey Graham, but as far as Conservatism is concerned, he might as well be Lindsay Lohan.

And there goes the RINO alarm!

11 Oct

Cap and Tax? SURE says Lindsey Graham, another ball-lacking RINO, writing an op-ed with buddy John Kerry! As Michelle points out, she told us so! Yep! I think we all kind of wary of getting RINO’D

However, we refuse to accept the argument that the United States cannot lead the world in addressing global climate change. We are also convinced that we have found both a framework for climate legislation to pass Congress and the blueprint for a clean-energy future that will revitalize our economy, protect current jobs and create new ones, safeguard our national security and reduce pollution.

Our partnership represents a fresh attempt to find consensus that adheres to our core principles and leads to both a climate change solution and energy independence. It begins now, not months from now — with a road to 60 votes in the Senate.

It’s true that we come from different parts of the country and represent different constituencies and that we supported different presidential candidates in 2008. We even have different accents. But we speak with one voice in saying that the best way to make America stronger is to work together to address an urgent crisis facing the world.

Address an urgent crisis? What crisis? Shouldn’t we actually agree that there IS a crisis before we solve it? And frankly, when politicians start promising to “revitalize” our economy, I think of all those bailouts and the stimulus packages. Yep, those worked SO WELL!

Oh Lindsey, you are just another idiot politician running around like your head is on fire. Call it DoSomethingitis. Our political leaders become obsessed with their ability to fix everything in life, even a crisis, that might not even exist. And they ignore the protests of those who actually KNOW something about whatever problem the politicians are intent on fixing. And, rest assured, that after the problem is “fixed” it will be worse, and will cost us more money!
