Lisa “Job Killer” Jackson resigns as EPA head, New Jersey blogger hardest hit

In her almost 4-year tenure we can thank Jackson’s work for the prevention of the Keystone Pipeline, the loss of thousands of Jobs in the coal industry, Punishing Oil Refineries for not using an ingredient that doesn’t exist, preventing the use of our own energy resources and don’t forget her biggest “victory,” declaring human exhalation a pollutant (farting also).

Word is she’s heading home to run for governor of New Jersey. Because we need a real job-killer back in Trenton, and if anyone knows about killing jobs it’s Richard Windsor Lisa Jackson!

I guess Chris is concerned that Jackson might do for Jersey what Governor Granholm did for Michigan, or what Governor Moonbeam is doing for California Taxifornia, and he ought to be concerned. This crew of Leftists is apparently set on destroying American jobs, and any hope for energy independence. Of course, they would tell us they have a better idea, more “green energy”, higher taxes, more regulations, and of course more dependence on government. What could possibly go wrong?

H/T Weasel Zipperrs This is what Team Obama, and all Leftists think about you folks. You are no smarter than a fifth grader according to EPA chief Lisa Jackson. Here is a question for Liberals. You realize she is talking about you too don’t you?

When asked to craft a headline about her tenure at the EPA, chief administrator Lisa Jackson questioned the American public’s ability to read at a fifth-grade level in an interview with the Guardian:

“In accordance with the law, we moved forward with sensible, cost-effective steps at the federal level on climate, using the Clean Air Act.” And I would have a second sentence — see, I can’t write headlines! But it would be something like, ”The progress at state and local levels, combined with the federal level, does not obviate the need” — you can’t use obviate, it’s above fifth-grade level! — “does not obviate the need for federal legislation to address this incredibly important challenge for this and future generations.”

What an elitist snob, and like most elitists, Jackson is none too bright herself, certainly not sharp enough to question anyone else’s intellect. I mean, consider her rock solid belief in global warming, climate change, whatever they are calling it these days. She is either stupid enough to believe in that Green scam, or she thinks that declaring war on domestic energy sources is a good idea, you know, to get America off that foreign oil dependence.

Jackson also said the free market, rather than federal regulation, has reduced coal’s prominence as a source of American energy. She blamed public opposition to EPA policies on the public’s ignorance in the interview.

So in my opinion the problem for coal right now is entirely economic. The natural gas that this country has and is continuing to develop is cheaper right now on average. … It just happens that at the same time, these rules are coming in place that make it clear that you cannot continue to operate a 30-, 40-, or 50-year old plant and not control the pollution that comes with it. …

So, she blames economics for the decline of coal? Yet, it is GOVERNMENT regulations that are going to bankrupt coal producers. Guess what genius, that is not economics, that is big government-run out of control.

The battle today is about who can get the screaming headline out first. Because, unfortunately, the way the media works, the screaming headline lives forever, and then you spend forever trying to get a headline even half as big that says oh, that wasn’t true. So whether it’s climate change and the myriad reports about that, whether it’s people in rural America who’ve been told all manner of untruths about the work we’re doing — whether it’s that we’re going to regulate farm dust further, or that we’re going to regulate spilled milk, no matter how many times we say it, because their main sources of information are not really being truthful in how they’re giving them information, we spend an awful lot of time trying to explain to people what we’re really doing.

Sure, it is the media’s fault, sure. How dare they expose the radical agenda of YOUR EPA Ms. Jackson!

So, how about it Libs? What do you think about being characterized as no brighter than a 10 or 11-year-old? Is that really what you want from government?

Barack Obama: “The Historic Steps We’ve Taken Will Save Tens of Thousands of Lives Each Year & Produce Hundreds of Billions of Dollars of Benefits to the American People”

Oh boy! Is he serious? Of course not, this is another of those claims that Obama throws out. Kind of like his “millions of jobs saved” baloney. This claim, of course, cannot be proved or disproved, can it? No, and Obama hopes it will fool enough of the same sheep that voted for him last election to get him ere-elected.

Empty campaign rhetoric, that is the only thing this president is good at.

According to Reuters, EPA wants farmers to rein in the amount of dust floating in the air in the American countryside.

The EPA plans to issue the regulations in the fall of 2011. Details of those regulations and the method of enforcement remain unknown.

Have any of these EPA idiots ever taken a drive in farm country and understood that dust is an inherent part of farm life? Have any of these EPA idiots ever worked on a farm?

No, these idiots likely have not done anything amounting to anything in their lives. This is the problem with government, and with many businesses as well, idiots are promoted, and given advancement because they are idiots. That is to say, they make their bosses lives easier by never asking questions, or coming up with ideas that actually make sense. And, of course, thinking is never welcomed either. I will give you a personal example. I ran a bar for a well-known nationwide dinner theater. Think knights, horses, etc. My location outperformed all the others in cost efficiency, profit, sales. the reason was I actually ran the bar like, well a bar, rather than like a gift shop that sold booze.

So, the guy in charge of all the locations wanted me to run my location like the others. He would tell me that I certainly knew how to run a bar far better than he did, but, he wanted us to change anyway. So I accommodated him as best I could and still kept the best numbers. Then he decided that having a staff like I did, experienced, well-trained bartenders was not a good idea, again, despite the numbers. He also did not like that I bartended too, again despite the numbers. He wanted me to run my operation like the others bar managers did, I guess he really wanted my numbers to suffer or something.

In the end, I was let go, with some severance pay, and with a complete sense of frustration. I, and my staff  were let go for, being the best in the company basically. And the guy that replaced me, who was “younger” and “shared their vision” lasted about a month before getting canned for multiple incidents of drinking while driving. I wonder how geniuses like the guy who canned me ever get promoted. Stupidity seems to be increasingly desirable. No wonder we are in trouble in this country.

The head of the EPA Lisa Jackson spoke this weekend to the attendees of the global warming conference Power Shift 2011. During her remarks, which can be viewed in full here, she took time to address what she called “environmental justice”. She says the EPA’s new focus on “environmental justice” is one of the things she is most proud of.

Crazed cult leader Charles Manson has broken a 20-year silence in a prison interview coinciding with the 40th anniversary of his conviction for the gruesome Sharon Tate murders – to speak out about global warming.

The infamous killer, who started championing environmental causes from behind bars, bemoaned the ‘bad things’ being done to environment in a rambling phone interview from his Californian jail cell.

‘Everyone’s God and if we don’t wake up to that there’s going to be no weather because our polar caps are melting because we’re doing bad things to the atmosphere.

‘If we don’t change that as rapidly as I’m speaking to you now, if we don’t put the green back on the planet and put the trees back that we’ve butchered, if we don’t go to war against the problem…’ he added, trailing off.

Well, I guess this makes Al Gore the second most nutty climate change nut!

Big government at its worst!

In possibly the worst-timed government announcement ever, Lisa P. Jackson, the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is currently holding a press conference in Washington, D.C. to announce a new mandate for carmakers: all non-round letters in any badge, nameplate, or other signifier are to be phased out by 2012 in an effort to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase fuel efficiency.

“This is an example of science leading the way in car design. We have put every car on the market through extensive wind tunnel testing and come to the conclusion that the low-hanging fruit of logo drag is simply too juicy not to pluck,” said Jackson. “Toyota, BMW, and Lincoln were the worst offenders. The first phase of the mandate will require all Ms, Ws, Ts, and Ls to be removed.” Gains in efficiency of 3-5 percent are expected immediately.
