In the latest case of a youth being punished for what used to be considered innocuous child’s play, a second grader at Driver Elementary in Virginia has been suspended for two days for making gun noises while pointing a pencil, WAVY-TV reports.

The boy’s father explained: “When I asked him about it, he said, ‘Well I was being a Marine and the other guy was being a bad guy’…It’s as simple as that.”

Paul Marshall, the father of the suspended 7-year-old Christopher Marshall, is a former Marine. 

A spokesperson for Suffolk Public Schools, Bethanne Bradshaw, explained: “A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made.”

NO! It is not a weapon it is a fucking pencil you ignorant fool! A pencil, nothing more! And what is the choice here? The proper choice is to reassure any child “scared” by another kid pointing a pencil by telling them they have nothing to be afraid of because little Billy, or Susan is, say it with me you pathetic hyper-sensitive Liberal tool, PLAYING! Yes, playing, as children do! But do the idiots who run our schools make that choice? Do they use the brain the Good Lord gave them? Of course not. They prefer to punish a child for playing like a normal kid! Again, I want to know who thinks this is anything but child abuse? Yes, it could also be called re-education, indoctrination, or just knuckle dragging stupidity. Call it whatever, but it has to stop!

 

Wounded vet stands up to Nanny State city government

Eddie Colosimo runs Holy Hill’s Bikers for First Amendments Rights restaurant and bar. It’s a non-profit that helps support military veterans.

Colosimo, a wounded Marine Corps vet, is passionate about United States Armed Forces. His granddaughter, grandson, and son-in-law are all serving in different branches of the military. So, Colosimo decided to fly military flags representing all our servicemen and women in front of his the restaurant.

“These flags represent our men and women all over the world for us today!” he said.

These flags have been here every weekend for two years, but just this week, Colosimo received a letter from the city informing him that flying the flags violates a new city code passed in March.

“The fines will start today (Friday) for every day the flags fly,” he told us. “Please don’t try to tell me my Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force flags are flutter signs, and compare them to beer signs. That doesn’t fly!”

The new law requires businesses to apply for a permit to display a temporary sign or banner on their property; however, the American, POW, and state flags are allowed.

Oh I see, if he begs permission from the city, and pays them off, then he will be allowed to fly them on HIS property. My bet is that the city backs down

 

TSA Scum Harass, Humiliate Marine Who Lost Both His Legs In Combat

TSA Agents ‘Humiliated’ Wounded Marine With Aggressive Inspection: Report – Washington Times

Transportation Security Administration inspectors forced a wounded Marine who lost both of his legs in an IED blast and who was in a wheelchair to remove his prosthetic legs at one point, and at another point to stand painfully on his legs while his wheelchair was examined, according to a complaint a congressman has registered with the TSA.

Rep. Duncan Hunter said in his letter Monday that the Marine, who is still on active duty and showed TSA agents his military identification, was still forced to undergo that scrutiny.

“A TSA office asked the Marine to stand and walk to an alternate area, despite the fact that he physically could not stand or walk on his own. With numerous TSA officers sitting and unwilling to assist, an officer then made him remove his legs, then put them back on, only to advance to a secondary screening location where he was asked again to stand, with extraordinary difficult, while his wheelchair was examined for explosives,” Mr. Hunter said.

He also said TSA officers initially directed the Marine to the wrong line, then made him move lines but made no effort to help him. The incident occurred at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport last week, as a group of Marines was returning to San Diego.

Mr. Hunter included two photos of the inspection in his letter that appear to show a TSA agent patting down the Marine’s arm and examining the prosthetic leg.

The congressman asked TSA to detail its procedures to inspecting wounded U.S. troops at airports, and to consider whether agents should show “situational awareness.”

On the Senate floor on Tuesday morning, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid appeared to suggest that military training exercises — like the one that led to the deaths of seven Marines at the Hawthorne Army Depot – are compromised by the automatic sequestration cuts, prompting immediate criticism from Marine officials.

“Mr. President, it’s very important we continue training our military — so important,” Reid said. “But one of the things in the sequester is we need to cut back in training and maintenance. That’s the way sequester was written.”

Of course, the  Marines have a different story

Later in the day on “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC, NBC Pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski indicated that there had been some pushback from Marine officials.

“Luke [Russert], you opened that segment with a sound bite from Senate Majority Leader Democrat Harry Reid expressing his condolences,” Miklaszewski said . But also during that statement, there was an implication there that under sequestration, when budgets are cut, that we may see more of these — that it may put the Marines and others and soldiers at risk because of the budget cuts.”

“Now I can tell you, Marine Corps officials this afternoon are taking a strong exception to what Harry Reid implied, saying that this this exercise, for example, was planned well in advance, had nothing to do with the budget cuts,” he continued. “There were no corners cut. And if they couldn’t afford to have all the safety precautions into place, they wouldn’t do the exercise. And in fact, one Marine Corps told us just, one Marine Corps official told us a short time ago, he considers this nothing but pure political posturing on the backs of these dead Marines.”

David Codrea has revealed that President Obama has so little regard for the United States Marines risking their lives under his command life that they were forced to dismantle their already empty parade rifles for his second inauguration parade. This is nothing less than aslap in the face of the Corps:

“Didn’t know the Marines had to take the bolts out of their rifles for the Inaugural,” an email forwarded toGun Rights Examiner from a United States Marine Corps source observed. “Wonder if someone can explain why [they] would be marching in the inaugural parade with no bolts in their rifles!”

The email linked to a YouTube video of the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade, embedded in this column, featuring Bravo Company Marines from the Marine Barracks Washington. Sure enough, the observation in the email is confirmed by watching the video, with screen shots provided in the photo and slide show accompanying this article.

This prompted an internet search to see if others had also noticed, and the Blur-Brain blog had.

“The bolts have been removed from the rifles rendering them unable to fire a round,” the post stated. “Apparently Obama’s Secret Service doesn’t trust the USMC. Simply searching each guy to make sure he didn’t have a live round hidden on him wasn’t enough, they had to make sure the guns were inoperable.

Cpl. Joshua Boston, the U.S. Marine who wrote a scathing letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) over proposed new gun control legislation was on FOX and Friends this morning. Feinstein wants to outlaw 120 specifically-named firearms including certain semiautomatic rifles, handguns, and shotguns.

Joshua Boston told FOX and Friends that Feinstein’s defense of her gun banning proposal is absurd.

“The idea that the rights of existing gun owners is strictly limited to hunting and sporting purposes is just absurd and has no basis in the Bill of Rights.”

Boston also said we need to look at the gun free zone laws that leave people defenseless. At the end of the interview Joshua Boston admitted that anti-gun leftists are calling for his death since his letter went viral.

A Marine responds to Dianne Feinstein’s gun ban

Saw this at Victory Girls. It is short, to the point, and written in the spirit of the Founders! If we only had political leaders with this Marine’s character and sense of duty.

Her gun ban legislation has made one person in particular so concerned that he, as an active duty Marine, decided to come out of the shadows and go public with his feelings. His name is Corporal Joshua Boston and he wrote a very polite but direct letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein regarding her gun ban legislation. You can read it below.

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Jon Hammar, Marine Jailed In Mexico, Released From Prison – Fox News

The ordeal for Jon Hammar Jr., who languished under deplorable conditions in a violent Mexican prison for four months, is finally over.

Jon Hammar Sr. has confirmed that his 27-year-old son, a Marine combat veteran, is back on U.S. soil and with him in a rented car in Brownsville, Texas.

Hammar Sr. said his son was released from the notorious CEDES prison at 8 p.m. local time and made it back across the bridge between Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas by around 8:30 p.m.

The ex-Marine, who was arrested at the same border crossing Aug. 13 after attempting to declare an antique shotgun, was suffering from a stomach virus, his father told Fox News as he and his son drove from the border looking for a hotel to spend the night.

“We’re both tired and at our wits end,” Hammar Sr. said. “We’re glad he’s out of there.”

His son declined interviews.

Hammar Sr. said because it was dark he could not get a good look at his son to see how the ordeal affected him physically.

He did express concern for the post-traumatic stress disorder his son has been battling since 2008.

Hammar Sr. said he and his wife heard from their son’s attorney, Eddie Varon-Levy, Thursday night that their son was going to be released from prison today.

He quickly caught a flight and spent the day anxiously waiting for his son’s repatriation.

“It took them all freaking day to process him out,” Hammar Sr. said.

Now begins the rebuilding process for Jon Hammar Jr., who will make the 22 hour drive with his father back to their Palmetto Bay, Fla. home, to be reunited with his mother Olivia, and to spend Christmas at home.

Can someone please explain America’s fascination with phony apologies?

I have no problem with people apologizing, if they are sorry, truly sorry, it an act, I think, of genuine contrition, and can save relationships. What I have issue with here are the scripted, phony, disingenuous apologies issued every time anyone says something “offensive” or when someone gets caught at something. These faux apologies to me are a gross waste of time and energy. What purpose do they serve? Take Chris Hayes of MSNBS for example. Hayes said he was uncomfortable calling fallen service men and women heroes. And, shockingly, that pissed off most everyone who heard it. So?

Many people all, across the blogging world lit into Hayes, myself included, and that is where is really ought to stop. He said his peace, he was raked over the coals. Yet, there were those who demanded two things I can not understand. First was the calls for MSNBS to fire him. Why? He is a commentator, he commented. Yes, he offended a LOT of people. But, I am sorry, I do not want everyone who says something nutty, or offensive to lose their job every time they cause someone offense. Face it, ANYONE who comments publicly about ANYTHING is going to offend someone. Do we REALLY want to get to a place where no one is willing to offer an opinion on anything? And, personally, let me say, that Hayes, as an MSNBS commentator is a great source of blogging material. Remember when he said the constitution was like, almost 100 years old? Come on! Stupidity that real is rare. Why would I want to lose one of the main branches on what I call The Tree of Low-Hanging Blogging Fruit?

Secondly, there were the demands that he apologize. Again I ask, why? Does anyone who heard his scripted apology really think he meant a damned word of it? Of course not! Does it change what he said? Or why he thinks it? NO! So, what good does it do anyone?

One last thought here, if Hayes is TRULY sorry, then good. If anything anyone wrote or said about his comments help to change his Left-Wing disdain for the military then good! I hope Hayes would re-think his views, and realize that his freedom comes at a cost, and that our servicemen have been paying that price since 1775. Personally, I would like to see Hayes, in his “you go girl” glasses that he borrowed from Rachel Maddow, explain his comments to a battle-hardened Marine. But, that phony apologies he can keep.

You know, I was going to post someting about our troops pissing off CAIR by pissing on dead Jihadis, but….

First let me say whoever took this video exercised extreme stupidity. And uploading it for public view took that stupidity and multiplied by a factor of 100.

That being said. I find it very funny that in our nation we have become so PC that we don’t even think of what is actually happening on the battlefield. You look at that video and the bleeding hearts are a gasp because of a urination bath. Never mind the HOLES in the dead enemy it’s the “Urination” that bothers us… Personally I’d rather see the enemy covered in Bacon and set on fire, but to each is own I guess.

The other thing about the “CAIR” condemnation over the urine bath is this: When did they condemn the torture/beheading/whipping/raping/hanging of folks in the name of Islam? Yeah never. But I guess pissing on a bunch of DEAD goat loving enemy combatants is too much for them…

Think about this for a minute and explain it to me if I’m wrong:
In 2008 Obama promised to close GITMO because the left feels like it’s “Cruel and unusual punishment” to keep combatants in prison. Okay GITMO is still open. How many enemy combatants have been put in GITMO since Obama’s election? ZERO. WHY? because he can’t or he’d be just like Booosh right? So what do we do now? We kill them from above using drones or spec/ops. How is that BETTER than detaining them in GITMO? Killing them is more humane than imprisoning them. I’m good with it I just would like to know how it’s spun to be MORE HUMANE.

One more piece of info that’s missing on this video is the “PRIOR” to urinating on these scum, did a firefight take place? did these Marines lose a brother or two in the fight? Was there communication between the sides with maybe the dead making mention of pissing on the Marines corpses? Did the Marine’s just turn the tables?

Now I agree this is NOT how a civilized nation should conduct themselves but I also understand the enemy. The enemy uses kids, women, target innocent civilians, behead journalists, hang our guys from bridges, attack schools etc… So pissing on them IMO is a waste of piss, but if it pisses CAIR off I’m good with it.. Carry on Marines.

Note to the enemy’s fighting the Marines: IF you don’t want to get pissed on? Don’t die fighting the greatest military force in the world. You don’t want to have your body bathed in PISS? Don’t attack a Marine fire squad. just a little helpful hint…
