Stacy McCain, AKA Gramps: You do not have to be a buffoon to write for the NY Times, but it helps

Do Liberals ever tire of bashing the South? Of course not, after all, the South IS the most Conservative part of the country, and the most patriotic. And the Left will never forgive the South for taking a stand against a power hungry federal government. McCain has the scoop

This is just downright bizarre:

[T]he South is once again committed to taking a backward path. By refusing to expand health care for the working poor through Medicaid, which is paid for by the federal government under Obamacare, most of the old Confederacy is committed to keeping millions of its own fellow citizens in poverty and poor health. They are dooming themselves, further, as the Left-Behind States.

Just another historical illiterate who thinks Washington has a grove of money trees or something. McCain eviscerates this tool

Do you believe this? “Free” money from the federal government? Medicaid as a job-creation dynamo? While I have not bothered to dig down on the data here, the basic economics of it is like saying that if you take $5 out of your pants pocket and put it in your coat pocket, you will then have $10. Government has no money of its own to spend. Every cent expended by government must come either from tax revenue or from borrowing, and borrowing — i.e., deficit spending — is ultimately a drag on economic growth, because capital invested in government bonds (which is how deficit spending is financed) is capital not invested in private-sector businesses.

The liberal belief in “free government money” is like one of those quasi-religious magical thinking exercises that Ace discusses here.

To cite X-number of people signing up for “expanded Medicaid” as “success” is simply to say that if you’re giving away the taxpayers’ money, moochers will gladly take their share of the loot.

Is the South doomed to be the “Left-Behind States”? Next time you hear of someone moving from Texas to Detroit, let me know.

An odd fact about the Left

OK, to be perfectly fair, there are many odd things about the Left, but for the purpose of this post, allow me to focus on one, and only one. The Left has many sayings they repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and, well you get the idea, but one of their most grating is saying the “science is settled”. When they throw that out they are referring to global warming er climate change er global cooling, er, whatever they are calling it this week. They also have this quirky, and by quirky I mean obnoxious habit of saying that the Rights “hates science”. But, here is the thing, the odd thing about that, the Left completely ignores other science when it suits them. One example is how medical science has destroyed their argument that an abortion only gets rid of a “clump of cells”. Another example is, well, let me turn you over to Dr. RS McCain

Sex is about reproduction.

Now, before you Liberals start screaming about McCain being weird, and some “fundamentalist”, and how the Right hates sex, allow me to say that we, on the Right LOVE sex, and understand that sometime sex is just for fun, which reminds me I really need to find that hockey mask and fly swatter. Hell, some of us even use different forms of birth control, so no, no, and no again, we do not hate sex! Conservatives DO enjoy sex, yes even with hot Liberal women, ladies you can send your pics and resume to my email, sorry, no Feminists need apply. Now back to Dr. McCain’s lecture

This is the natural function of sex, biologically speaking, and it’s odd how the same liberal fanatics who enjoy endlessly lecturing us about Darwinism and global warming — “The science is settled!” — are so unscientific about sex. Instead, the sexual enthusiasms of liberals tend toward sterile non-procreative acts, while they react with horror at the idea that someone might engage in the normal act of reproduction with the expected result. If they can’t prevent pregnancy, liberals want to kill the resulting baby, apparently believing that motherhood itself is a weapon of patriarchal oppression.

This mentality is what I call “The Contraceptive Culture.” I’ve written about the subject occasionally for years (see “The Pill at 50: Unhappy Un-Birthday,” May 8, 2010) and my emphatic pro-life stance has sometimes led to readers mistaking me for Catholic.

Proudly Protestant, I nevertheless recognize that the encyclical Humane Vitae identified the fundamental problem with artificial contraception: It separates functions that naturally belong together. Whereas love, sex, marriage and parenthood are normally part of the same bundle, The Contraceptive Culture divides them up in a decidedly abnormal way, and once this strange way of thinking takes hold, it becomes difficult for people to understand what’s wrong with it.

My wife and I have six children, so we’ve heard all the anti-”breeder” jokes that are common to The Contraceptive Culture. Sometimes, however, you encounter truly hateful expressions of the anti-natal mindset, as when someone posted a photo of the Duggar family’s appearance at a Ken Cuccinelli gubernatorial campaign event in Virginia:

Head over to The Other McCain to read the nasty Tweets the nasty Leftists wrote about the Duggars, here is just one example

  1. Worst rally ever? RT @washingtonpost: The Duggar family is campaigning for Cuccinelli today http://wapo.st/1gl37Nu  pic.twitter.com/vzmDwDr3nX

@robdelaney Mom looks surprisingly good, for a puppy mill.

And trust me kids, they get worse. What a nasty bunch of miscreants the Left is comprised of. They call that nasty streak “tolerance”.

John McCain Useful Idiot

I suppose it never dawned on Senator Maverick that the Jihadists might lie to him.

Via Daily Caller:

Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain hotly disputed a study claiming that at least half of Syria’s rebels are radical jihadis, repeatedly exclaiming “Not true, not true!”

“Frankly, I just disagree,”McCain told the Council on Foreign Relations audience, challenging the contention by defense consultancy IHS Jane’s that “the insurgency is now dominated by groups with at least an Islamist viewpoint of the conflict.”

“There’s about 70 percent still who are Free Syrian Army,” McCain said, flipping on its head the consulting firm’s research showing that just 30 percent are fighting for secular values.

McCain has frequently called for an increase in arms shipments to rebels groups fighting the Assad regime, and on Tuesday evening he sought to diminish concerns that these arms may one day be turned against the United States or its allies.

“The point, I think, that you and others are missing,” he told the questioner, “[is that] Syria is a moderate nation. Syria has the highest literacy rate of any nation in the Middle East. They are not going to submit to a jihadis or al-Qaida group governing them. They will not.”

“That’s a really a convenient cop-out to say, ‘Oh, we don’t know who they are,’” he continued angrily. “I know who they are. I was in Syria and I met them.”

Yep, you met them, and I am sure they were completely open and honest right Senator? I mean they would most assuredly never just tell you what you wanted to hear.

Researcher Whose Findings Were Cited By Kerry And McCain To Support War In Syria Is Fired For Fraud

Controversial Syria Researcher Fired Over Doctorate Claim – BuzzFeed

A young researcher whose opinions on Syria were cited by both Senator McCain and Secretary of State John Kerry in congressional testimony last week has been fired from the Institute for the Study of War for allegedly faking her academic credentials.

.

The institute issued a statement on its website concerning the researcher, Elizabeth O’Bagy:

The Institute for the Study of War has learned and confirmed that, contrary to her representations, Ms. Elizabeth O’Bagy does not in fact have a Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University. ISW has accordingly terminated Ms. O’Bagy’s employment, effective immediately.

O’Bagy and her op-ed drew scrutiny last week when the Wall Street Journal failed to disclose O’Bagy’s ties to an advocacy group backing the Syrian opposition and lobbying the US government to intervene in Syria. The Journal was forced to post a clarification that “in addition to her role at the Institute for the Study of War, Ms. O’Bagy is affiliated with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit operating as a 501(c)(3) pending IRS approval that subcontracts with the U.S. and British governments to provide aid to the Syrian opposition.”

O’Bagy wrote in an email this Wednesday morning: “I was just fired from ISW and I’m no longer legally allowed to discuss my employment with them or affiliate it any way.”

In an interview conducted before O’Bagy was fired from ISW, she rejected claims that her research was compromised by her affiliation to the advocacy group, the Syrian Emergency Task Force.

“My research is completely separate” she said. “Every journalist and every researcher goes into the conflict with their own background and their own ideas.”

“Elizabeth is one of the best experts on Syria and her field work inside Syria along with her extensive networks on the ground makes her one of few people that can help inform policy makers on the reality on the ground,” said Mouaz Moustafa, the executive director of the Syrian Emergency Task Force.

Maybe The Other McCain should start an advice column?

I mean someone needs to answer those tough questions about dating, politics, drinking heavily, cheap sex, and, other important stuff right? Like this question  about etiquette. Dear Other McCain how long SHOULD I wait until I say talk badly about a dead Jew-hating old hag? Confused in Columbus

Dear Confused in Columbus,

There are occasions when good taste requires that polite people say absolutely nothing about the latest news. Just in case such an occasion should ever occur (he says, in an entirely random and coincidental way), you should be prepared. It is important never to say the name of the recently deceased Jew-hating liberal hag, because that would not be polite. So I must sharply admonish Jeff Dunetz, who seems to have forgotten the requirements of decorum and propriety, and who also posted this memorably tasteless video:

One should always be polite and respectful, and never mention the name of evil Jew-hating liberal bitches who rot in Hell

See? Solid advice, what person could not use that?

Useful Idiot of the Month at Conservative Hideout

Yep, it is the end of another month, which means Matt needs your help to pick a Useful Idiot

The people have spoken, and we now have the nominees for the Useful Idiot of the Month Poll.  Unforeseen events prevented me from posting the poll until today, so we will leave it up until Midnight Sunday PST.  Here are your nominees…

Adam Levine:  Nominated by our own contributor Don.

I nominate Adam Levine for saying he hates his country:

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/05/29/adam-levine-says-hate-this-country-on-voice/

He did issue an apology, but only after getting all pissy on twitter, instead of offering an apology or even an explanation, he posted definitions of: “joke,” “misunderstanding,” and “humor less.”

Chris (soon to announce that he’s really a Democrat) Christie:  Made by our VRWC mate, Chris Wysocki of Wyblog fame.

Chris Christie, for his encore Brokeback Boardwalkperformance with Dear Leader.

Eric Holder: Nominated by our contributor and all aroumd good guy, of Asylum Watch.

I’m going with Eric Holder for attacking Obama’s watercarriers.

John McCain:  Tagged by both Bunkerville, and our very own Manahattan Infidel.

I will go with McCain. The fool is doing his best to be just that. And the fool just might get some Americans killed.

McCain, a founding RINO, all the way.

Then, your humble editor feels compelled to add  one more:  the#FreeKate supporters, because nothing says cultural Marxism like legalizing pedophilia!

Ugly and stupid is no way to go through life son

Burkely_Hermann_Occupy_Socialist_Troll

That would be my advice to the douche nozzle with the Twitter handle @BurkelyH. The Other McCain is slightly tougher on the stupid Communist starter kit

Burkely Hermann describes himself:

#Socialist, citizen of the world and college student who fights for global justice and works to challenge the powers that be.

In other words he an idiot who has never picked up a serious history book, or studied the evils of Marxism. If he had, he would understand that there is no “justice” in Marxism, only oppression. suffering and death. McCain sums him up pretty well as I would

Burkely Hermann is neither honest nor intelligent, however, and yet supposes himself both intellectually and morally superior to anyone who calls attention to the obvious facts about Zinn.

This is how it always is with leftist punks: They imagine that their ideology confers on them a special insight, providing them with access to esoteric truths which no one outside the Cult of the Enlightened can understand, so that if you disagree with them, the very fact of your disagreement is proof (to them) that you are “ignorant,” etc.

Facts and logic that contradict their arguments are dismissed as somehow tainted because they don’t come from reliable (i.e., leftist) sources, whereas any specimen of counter-factual lunacy is acceptable to them, so long as it supports their anti-social worldview. There is therefore no point in trying to reason with such fools.

You can go over to The Other McCain and read it all, but, Burkley, do yourself a favor. Educate yourself, read some history, read how Communism has done nothing but slaughter and imprison hundreds of millions of people. No one who seeks to fight for “justice” would ever embrace Totalitarianism Burkley. Go study the men who founded this nation and their wisdom. Study our founding principles. Those embrace liberty, and equality of opportunity, because you can not enforce equal outcomes Burkley. Study Thomas Sowell, Dennis Prager, and Walter Williams writings. Better yourself son, learn to think outside the Leftist indoctrination that has stunted your intellectual growth.

Amanda Marcotte is to crazy what Bloomberg is to Nannyism

Stacy McCain notes the woman, or beast with bangs, if you prefer, has driven onto the Crazy Highway and is accelerating rapidly

Just briefly noted last night that The Beast Who Wears Bangs had made an obnoxious fool of herself blaming pro-lifers for the heinous crimes of Kermit Gosnell, but even I didn’t really expect that she would be so eager to double down on bloodthirsty stupidity:

Man, the feeding frenzy over Gosnell is a sobering reminder of how much hatred there is out there towards women.
– @AmandaMarcotte, April 13

In this rhetorical formulation, the normal and expected reaction to pregnancy is to seek an abortion, so that “women” exist only insofar as they are defined by their right to abortion choice.

This conveniently defines out of existence any woman who is pro-life: To be a woman is to be pro-abortionchoice.

In this bizarre Manichean dualism, there are only (a) people who share Amanda Marcotte’s gruesome death-fetish for maximizing the number of abortions, and (b) people who hate women.

McCain opines that Marcotte is trying desperately to rationalize the grotesque brutality that Kermit Gosnell committed somehow. Gosnell is not really to blame in Marcotte’s warped world. No, it is pro-lifers who are to blame somehow. I find it revealing in a way. Marcotte is deeply indoctrinated in radical Feminism that she cannot even make a reasonable moral judgement anymore. She is so eaten up with bitterness and hatred that she has lost all abilities to look at evil and identify it as evil.

Meghan McCain gets a reality show, America’s collective IQ hardest hit

I hate reality TV. To me it is basically scripted, staged, stupid and mind numbing, and tends to feature some of the least likable people. Which of course makes reality TV a great place for America’s most clueless Republican, Meghan McCain. As Zip at Weasel Zippers wonders

What kind of deranged psychopath would watch a reality show based around McRINO’s talentless hack offspring?

Well, this is where we are isn’t it? Talent? Intellect? Who wants those? America apparently craves people who are related to famous people to people who actually have something of value to share.

So, what kind  of show will this be? What can viewers expect?

McCain’s show, “Raising McCain,” will follow her as she hits the road interviewing both experts and average Joe’s alike. So far the network has ordered 10 half-hour episodes that will begin airing on August 1.

Participant Media, which owns pivot, created the channel as a way to reach out to Millennials. Pivot will air a mix of narrative films, documentaries, comedies and dramas, including a show co-hosted by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt of “3rd Rock from the Sun” fame. So far, the network plans to have a reach of 40 million cable subscribers when it launches in August. The network also plans to run a broadband-only feed of the channel for a monthly fee.

“We’re told … that young people can’t have news because we’re just tweeting all the time, and that’s just bullsh**,” McCain said during the presentation for the launch of Pilot TV.

Oh, I cannot wait. But, of course, there is some good news here. Think of McCain’s show as yet another Tree of Low-Hanging Blogging Fruit. The inanities expressed on this show are bound to produce bushels of clips to share, and yes, mock right here.

What an asshole I am! An apology to a blogging friend

Sometimes we make mistakes, yes, even me, and recently, I screwed the pooch by NOT congratulating Stacy McCain for getting a new, and well deserved gig at Viral Read.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Veteran journalist Robert Stacy McCain will be joining the staff of ViralRead.com as editor in chief, the New Media site’s publisher announced Wednesday. “While we’re quietly building out ViralRead for its official launch, I’m sure we just sent a loud signal,” said Ali A. Akbar, president of Viral Read’s parent company, Pundit Syndication LLC. “Robert Stacy McCain’s experience is going to firm our foundation as we creep closer to our official launch.”
Akbar, an influential young digital strategist and entrepreneur, emphasized the value of McCain’s 27 years of experience in both traditional and online media to ViralRead, a site that made its online debut last year, though will it officially launch at the beginning of spring.
“What first attracted us in acquiring Stacy’s online property was his unique ability to monetize his blog,” said Akbar, who will host a ViralRead party Saturday at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “This is only the beginning.” . . .

Fact is, when I heard, I meant  post something, then got caught up in something else, so sorry there Stacy, I should have made sure I posted that. And, congrats!

It happens every time!

We Conservatives cannot catch a break on global warming, er climate change can we? We are accused of not believing in science, even though we do. We also cannot catch a break on immigration reform. Take this post from Reaganite Republican for example. He puts up a post about Mexican women, namely smoking hot Mexican Weather Girls. Stacy MccAin then suggests we allow these immihrants to move to the head of the line to get into America. A suggestion I fully support by the way.

Years ago, I propounded Rule 5 — “Everybody Loves a Pretty Girl” — as one of the secrets of blogging success. And I have also stipulated that, despite my somewhere-to-the-right-of-Tom-Tancredo stance against illegal immigration, I’m firmly opposed to a crackdown on beauty queens who have overstayed their visas: Bring me your tired, your poor, your Miss Universe contestants yearning to breathe free.

To this very charitable suggestion to help fix our immigration policy, McCain gets accused of causing Offendeditis by someone at HuffPo

One immigration hardliner has found a group of people he’s not opposed to allowing into the country: beautiful Mexican weather reporters.

Robert Stacy McCain, a conservative writer for the American Spectator, tweeted out a message Friday saying: “Under my immigration reform plan, Mexican TV weather girls are eligible for green cards,” with a link to a blog post showing a series of photos of sexy Latinas doing weather reports. The post, published by The Reaganite Republican, is entitled “Mexican TV Weather-Girls: Today’s Forecast? HAWT!”

Under my immigration reform plan, Mexican TV weather girls are eligible for green cards http://t.co/JBxhMuiIiE via@ReaganiteGOPer

The message was retweeted by Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies, one of the leading voices advocating for stricter immigration laws and opposing a pathway to citizenship for the country’s 11.1 million undocumented immigrants.

HuffPost Latino Voices reached out to McCain and Krikorian on Twitter to ask why they would post and retweet a message that many Latinos would find offensive. McCain responded with the following tweet:

Robert Stacy McCain@rsmccain
Robert Stacy McCain

@RoqPlanas Ever heard of Don Rickles? I mean, at some point, offending people is a feature, not a bug.@MarkSKrikorian
See, we just cannot catch a break! We try to help and the Sensitivity Police start wailing. Perhaps we ought to expand Stacy’s plan, and move ALL hot women who have overstayed their visas to the front of the line? Or would that be insensitive too? Or here is an idea. Maybe those that are so easily offended should toughen up, grow a sense of humor, and exhale every once in a  while. Remember every time a Liberal feigns offense, a Mexican weather girl puts on extra clothing!

Summing up Obama

The Other McCain does it, and does it well

Barack Obama is to bullshit what Willy Wonka was to chocolate, and America has bought the golden ticket.

BINGO! Obama is a B.S.A. Bull Shit Artist, and he takes advantage of the weak-minded low information voters who will devour the Obamanure by the shovel full!

Why the media loves them some Obama

The Other McCain gives us his take

What the press corps loves about President Obama is the astonishing audacity of his lies. He doesn’t bother with tiny fibs or slight misrepresentations. No, by God, he tells massive whoppers that everyone understands to be false, but which he knows he can get away with because — like the favorite child of an over-indulgent mother — he has the smug sense of entitlement necessary to erupt in indignation if he is ever called on  his lies: “How dare you notice my self-serving deceptions!”

You know folks, I really cannot argue, that about sums it up

Is it me or do Republicans have better signs than Democrats?

Just a silly observation about political signs, slogans, etc. To me it seems that Republicans are more creative, and definitely less crude with their signs. Here is a great sign that The Other McCain noted

Stacy McCain: No ma’am, I am not ogling you, I am fighting crime

Leave it to Stacy McCain to, “uncover” this story about the Big-Breasted Bandit, and NO, she is not Stacy’s cousin Meghan “Look at My Massive Melons” McCain either. In fact Meghan’s Melons could not be reached for comment

Charged with possession of dangerous weapons:

After five days at large, Tonee Walker faced Southport Magistrates Court yesterday charged with armed robbery and stealing.
The 22-year-old blonde had been wanted for the hold-up of an Arundel service station early last Monday morning.
Her low-cut top, exposing an ample bosom, saw her dubbed the “buxom bandit.”

Sources say the suspect was arrested on the basis of “two major tips” received by Australian police after they circulated this wanted poster:

Stratfor Emails Show Democrats Stuffed Ballot Boxes In Ohio And Pennsylvania In 2008

Stratfor Emails Show Democrats Stuffed Ballot Boxes In Ohio And Pennsylvania In 2008 – Gateway Pundit

According to stolen Stratfor emails published on Wikileaks, John McCain’s campaign in 2008 had evidence that the Obama Campaign was stuffing ballot boxes in Ohio and Pennsylvania and also had proof that the Obama team had “sleazy” Russian money in their cofffers.

Business Insider reported:

John McCain’s 2008 campaign staff allegedly had evidence that Democrats stuffed ballot boxes in Pennsylvania and Ohio on election night, but McCain chose not to pursue voter fraud, according to internal Stratfor emails published by WikiLeaks.

In an email sent on November 7, 2008, and titled ”McCain #5x ** Internal Use Only – Pls Do Not Forward **,” Stratfor vice president of intelligence Fred Burton wrote:

1) The black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly and Ohio as reported the night of the election and Sen. McCain chose not to fight. The matter is not dead inside the party. It now becomes a matter of sequence now as to how and when to “out”.

In an email sent two days earlier and titled “Insight – McCain #5 ** internal use only – Pls do not forward **,” Burton wrote:

After discussions with his inner circle, which explains the delay in his speech, McCain decided not to pursue the voter fraud in PA and Ohio, despite his staff’s desire to make it an issue. He said no. Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process. McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence.

Guess who MSNBS has hired now?

Who could it be? Here is a hint, she is a “Republican” and, is like, way cool and hip. YEP! Meghan McCain is the newest airhead on the no ratings network! And she is mad at Newt!

Meghan McCain at UC Berkeley.

Image via Wikipedia

On his Wednesday program, MSNBC host Thomas Roberts introduced McCain and asked her to address her back-and-forth with presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.

“Can you believe that?” McCain asked. “Former Speaker of the House I’m getting in fights with, I can’t believe it.”

In a specific incident addressing some remarks McCain made about his presidential bid, Gingrich said, “How would she have a clue?”

“I think he’s delusional,” McCain said. “And him calling me clueless I think is so sexist and disgusting and lame and a really offhanded remark … that he’s making towards me. And I think it’s ridiculous. Any polls that he’s reading, if you were seriously running for president, you wouldn’t be taking vacations to Greece during the middle of your campaign trail. I think he has a lot of other issues that all of us are very well aware of. And I would bet my career he’s not going to be our next nominee.”

She would bet her CAREER? What career Meghan? A gig on MSNBS? that is not a career Meghan, that is just a step up from being passed out on a bar stool. And Meghan, I hope you understand that the ONLY reason that MSNBS hired you is because you are stupid enough to say what they WANT YOU TO SAY ABOUT REPUBLICANS! You are their useful idiot Meghan!

McRomney? Really?

In 2008, we nominated the “Maverick”, now, some Republicans are saying Romney is the guy we must nominate? NOT SO FAST!

A lot of folks still get their news from the newspapers and the networks. This is sad but true. Sure the headline says the majority distrusts the media, but a lot of folks have nowhere else to get their news.

When its down to Romney, Perry, and Cain (go ahead and call me a racist for listing the black guy last) the MSM will be fluffing Romney big time. The only thing worse than the nominee being a conservative black guy or a Texan is the next POTUS being a conservative black guy or a Texan.

Either is a disaster for the left.

So we hear about electability and being a moderate and appealing to the independents .. just like we did with McCain.

What the conservatives need to be doing to Romney is tying his ass to McCain. We need to beat the drum that Romney is the “establishment pick” … just like McCain. That its Romney’s “turn” .. just like McCain. That Romney is “moderate” … just like McCain. That Romney appeals to the independents .. just like McCain.

Yes, i will work as hard as I can to get him elected IF he is nominated. But, my fellow Republicans, we can do better! Perry is far better, Cain is far better! This is not the time to anoint anyone. It is, rather the time to find out who the best candidate is. And for my money, Romney is not the best hope we have. So, please, let’s ignore the establishment wimps, who are terrified of anyone too Conservative, and those political addicts who want to get a nominee as quickly as possible. AS Steve points out THIS MATTERS!

It is not a time trial folks, relax, we will get there soon enough.
